✓ Epic App!I mean, I think the title says it all. User-friendly and coming from someone who hates sitting around twiddling their thumbs, I highly advise all of you to download this app for those moments you need to kill time. It's a great way to keep those mental juices flowing. I always feel like I'm killing brain cells watching TV and online videos. This app keeps me engaged without feeling like a vegetable after a couple of hours. It's really nice being able to start off on easy and upping the ante by switching to harder levels. ✓ Good gameSo far I found this app has the best interface among others. They added some advertisements to the game, which didn’t bother me much. The big problem I have with the last couple of updates is that it drains my battery, like dropping 60% within 10 minutes of playing. When that happened, it burns my phone. Literally ‘burn’ my phone. ✓ Best sudoku out there!This app is by far the best when it comes to sudoku apps. It has perfect format, it tracks your times, tries, fails, and records with the smoothest gaming action. ✓ Sudoku Wonderful GameA few years ago I got a new iPad and for some reason I lost Sudoku in the transfer. I spent a few years looking for it in the App Store. A recent update of this app occasionally stops my music from playing while I’m playing this app. 2) I usually like seeing how fast I solved a puzzle. As soon as I finish the puzzle. ✓ Unfortunate updateI like this app but wish I hadn't updated. Now the statistics (prev. scores) are hard to read and in a ridiculous scroll box. When you complete a game that makes a high score, you are no longer notified. It's galling that the developer calls these regressions 'improvements'. When does the next version come out? What I wish they would have fixed: my app consumes 400MB and climbing, most for app data. What could it be storing?? The board and scores consume a minuscule amount of space. Of course I could delete and reinstall, but I would lose my game records. Other vast improvements would be not disappearing the board the second it's complete; and improving the ad experience (esp. the obnoxious audio ones (usually I'm listening to my own music while playing))..Version: 1.8.3

✓ Sudoku for all levelsI’ve enjoyed this Sudoku for years. Depending on how much time or energy I have, I can play a level that suits me while still presenting a challenge. I used a different Sudoku app while learning to play because it had hints and guided help. I like this app because I can see how my skill compares to others playing the same game. It keeps my top scores and I can play to improve my own times if I want to. I find this app presents games that are challenging- I love it!! When you tap a number all of those numbers highlight. I would also like to see the entire block, row and column of ALL those numbers highlighted. ✓ What happened??I loved this app!! It was fantastic! I’ve downloaded over a dozen other Sudoku apps in the past to find the one with just the right interface that wasn’t too intrusive, but still provided a few of the neat features like notes that auto-updated and highlighting of certain numbers. Then they go and update it with ads all over the place for their other games. Even for the paid version. This completely distracts from the game play and now I’m probably going to have to spend the next hour or two trying to find a new sudoku app... 😔.Version: 1.8.1

✓ Good game, but a memory hogWould rate 3-1/2 because of this issue. I’ve enjoyed this game for a long time. The game itself is just over 56mb. The data usage keeps increasing, and when it got to over a gig I had to uninstall the program to reclaim the memory. Don’t know what all it’s saving...if only saving statistics it wouldn’t use up so much space (Minesweeper is currently only a few kb of data and I’ve used it as long as Sudoku). However, recent updates seem to have made it less reliable, with significant delays in response when returning tobthe menu after solving a puzzle. I can’t recall seeing any adverts as mentioned by another reviewer but, if they appear,this would be EXTREMELY UNWELCOME and I would immediately look for an alternative app. Please do not break a good app - no new “features” are needed. ✓ The best. Except one kiiiind of big issue...I love this sudoku app. It has THE best setup / functionality compared to all other sudoku apps I’ve tried. I’ve played it basically every day during quarantine. However, there is one really big issue which unfortunately has caused me to have to find a new sudoku app: As I start to play (I mostly play on Hard if that’s relevant), my phone starts to get really HOT and the battery starts plummeting. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, and I’m fairly certain it’s not a phone issue because I have many other apps that I’m on throughout the day. My phone is totally normal for everything else but this app. If I open the app and start playing at 100% battery, it will be at 5% in about 20 minutes. My phone literally gets burning hot to the touch to the point where my fingertips are legit slightly burned (visibly a little red, but mostly not visible just can feel they are clearly burned). I know I sound like a crazy person and my friends were like what the actual F, but...it’s real! So. Yeah. 4 stars. TLDR - It burns..Version: 1.9.17

I recently paid for ad-free/customisation because I’ve used this app for years - but I think this could be optimised a bit. I believe it would be great to have more options for customisation, specifically more colour options for backgrounds (I would love some pastel options that don’t clash as much as the only two other options) and implementation of colour customisation for the user-added digits and number highlighting. ✓ IPhone X+ App Periodically CrashesSince the new update the app periodically crashes. You’ll be playing a game and the app will just blink off, leaving you in the home screen. When you go back into a game you are back to last time you entered the game. Game data since you last entered the game is lost. All other data and statistics are still there. Also I’ve had this app for several years and not once have I been able to solve Expert without reaching a point where guessing is mandatory. ✓ Very good, but an annoying bug.Sometimes a number that is needed for a cell cannot be entered because the matching button has dimmed. This also affects progress numbers. Why dim the numbers at all? A very nice game, otherwise. Possible solution: always erase an incorrect entry before entering the correct digit. If instead you overwrite the mistake, then there will be one less instance of that digit than you need to complete the puzzle..Version: 1.8.3

✓ Decent versionWe all know how Sudoko works. How it’s implemented is the important thing, and this one works pretty well. Numbers are easy to put, rub out if you put in the wrong number, you can click on a number to check where are they all in the grid. ✓ Helped Me Through A Rough PatchWas in an hospital for a very long time. Pastor's wife brought me a Sudoku book. It took me 30 minutes to 2 days to do an easy one. ✓ Mostly don't like newest versionIt was just updated on me a couple days ago, and maybe I just need to give it a chance. I don't like that the reset button on my iPad version is so close to undo. And the eraser could be a bit further from the toggle, which could be larger. And I still would like a feature similar to caps lock on a keyboard - double tap a digit so you can put it in several squares without having to go back and forth. ✓ Solid sudoku app!This is a great app! It’s got 4 levels and it will keep your time stats. It’s very easy to see/read and you can highlight all of one color or put in small “pencil” marks easily. Also if you fill in a box with a number, it will automatically erase pencil marks of the same number in the same row/section. A few annoying thing: Sometimes the difficulty levels seem inconsistent. There are times when both Hard and Expert are impossibly hard and then there are times when Hard is so easy it feels like Medium. Also sometimes hitting “New Game” crashes the program and you have to open it again. But the loading page doesn’t take too long. The ads usually come at the end of a game which is fine. They can be kind of long and/or loud so I always make sure to keep my sound off when playing..Version: 1.9.17

✓ Best sudoku appThis is the absolute best sudoku app I’ve found, and I’ve tried out a LOT of different apps. It’s simple and sleek, and I love the highlighting and notes features. The developers have been really quick to fix issues that people report, which is great. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the ads are annoying and it’s ridiculous how expensive it is to pay to have them removed. ✓ Unique and preciseThis game is loads, and there is a subscription for the unique emojis choices that maybe one of all of us love but if you are an avid Sudoku maniac or just a mediocre persona, then the deal is not too bad. ✓ Great VersionI really like this version. I think it’s great that there are 4 levels. The beginner and medium are fairly close, but hard is really challenging and I haven’t had the courage to have a go at Expert. I can clear both the first 2 levels without having to use the option to put multiple values in a cell as a way to look for patterns. The hard level (for me) definitely requires that feature. I also like the feature that grays out a number once you’ve completed that value. The only thing I’d ask the developers to look at is the “reset” feature. When you hit reset, the board does clear, but any grayed out numbers don’t reset also. You have to go forward and backwards a couple of times to get the numbers to reset (be ungrayed). ✓ Great SudokuNearly perfect sudoku app. Good difficulty levels, for every level of player, clever and easy markings, highlights of numbers, reverse and clear the board features. Nothing else, no silly characters or coins or lives or anything to distract from sudoku. The only fault is that many of the hardest level are not possible to do using logic alone - I’ve run them through another app and it says they can’t be done (without guessing) logically and to me that means they can’t be done properly. I’m good at sudoku and I can rarely to the hardest level without guessing, which I find really frustrating. So I stick with the hard ones, which are challenging enough. Perhaps to some guessing is part of sudoku but not for me, sorry. Loses one star. Only one star mind bcos the rest of the app is perfect and one of the only game apps I have permanently on my phone..Version: 1.9.27
