✓ Love the Game, Hate the VersionFirst of all, I would like to say I love Virtual Villagers. I completed the first one a while back, so it was natural that I move on to the second one. And this is why the review has two stars instead of one. However, when I started the second one, I was given all females and two males. But even that would've been okay if it weren't for the fact you have a max population of eight people! Therefore, I had to wait until all of my villagers were in their fifties before I could have another kid, and even then, it was a girl. So my villagers grew older, and I finally got them to have another kid, and guess what? It was a girl again. And after that, they got too old to HAVE kids, so I had to restart. So I restart the game, and the SAME EXACT THING happens, only this time I get two females. So this is a great game, but the population limit and uneven gender statistics make me so frustrated! Do not get this game, it isn't worth it. You can't complete the game!.Version: 1.1.3

✓ 5 star for the game, 1 star for this versionFirst and foremost, I love games like VV. I remember buying one of these games for the PC and it was fun. Imagine my surprise when I saw they were all free! I decided to play two games at a time. VV took a while to get my village self sufficient, but I never had to restart. I restarted twice in VV2 because getting a self sufficient village was pretty simple. Now, the gripe: in VV1, my village could hold 40 people. But seriously? 8 person limit in VV2? Ridiculous. It already takes long enough to gain TP in VV1 with 40 villagers..Version: 1.1.3

✓ Fun.... But time isn't passing while awayIt's a fun game... But time isn't passing while away. To get through the first part don't have a kid. You need all your adults at first. You have one person fish in the ocean.... The rest do research. Keep researching, then buy farm level 2 so you can get the coconuts. After that have all but one research to get engineering 2 so you can build a dam. Then everyone build the dam. After that, get the drag an adult over to the sticks in the north right next to the thorns so make a scarecrow. After he puts part 1 of the scarecrow up, bring him back to the sticks to finish off the scarecrow, then you have all the food you need..Version: 1.1.0
✓ Fun to frustrating!!!I finally got it right at my 3rd village and mastered most of my techs except science and culture, got me an esteemed elder and now i have 1 woman and 6 dudes! I had to wait till one of the 7 guys died before i could get my woman to have more babies but now, she just may be too old? She WON'T HAVE ANY BABIES!!!! Therefore, once she's dead, it's game over. So it's very frustrating cuz i've gotten so far in the game... I don't think anyone's supposed to succeed on the free version... Not to mention.. My food was at 6000+ then flash flood brought it to 200... Smh...Version: 1.1.3
