✓ FantasticSuch a good game, well worth the price. I bought it two days ago and i've put away at least Five hours on this little ball of fun. Great to sit in bed and do in the mornings or evenings. My ONLY concern is. Never EVER attempt the 'Kill 3 Giant Spiders' Mini/Side-quest. The amount of little spiders i had on on me even with a fully sped up Spider meant that i literally couldn't move. This will be your biggest downfall. Even the Easy difficulty is a little tricky which is great for the challenge. Overall. I would pay far more for this App, knowing it's potential and playablility. ✓ An ideaOk this game gets 5 stars for: -great grafiics -cool customisation -awsome animation -and general epicness But like just about every other review has said, this game needs multiplayer. I thought about this and due to the game structure how the multiplayer could be deficult to design. My idea comes from bh quest and its quite simple. A huge(er) world in which players log on with consisten characters that keep the same stats and steal food or even items from opponents. The bases would be much more customizable, to the point of being castles with heaps of towers and more tower slots as the bases get bigger. To keep characters fresh, a character create system where players design their own bug with its own skill set depending on height,weight and features like horns, plates ect Also if players could form clans or groups that hide out in the same base that would be epic. Ps custom classes should be able to buy new weapon/armour from a shop and weapons/armour should be suitable to height,weight and features. Plus the multiplayer should be a new game. ✓ OutstandingI bought this game the very first day it came out. Back then it crashed a lot but I still played it because of the addictive gameplay. After they fixed the bugs and crashes the game became perfect. As soon as the new update came out I downloaded all of the IAP's without hesitation because I have no doubt that the developer is committed to this game. The new IAP's are great. ✓ Why this is good and why is it badFirst I will start of with why this game is bad. At first the storyline is simple and great, but later when you buy the rest of the addons you realized that it is not developed much at all! Secondly this game gets more expensive by $1.20 each time there is an update eventually leading up to $4.80 and whats even worse is that theres even more updates costing the user $1.20 for each new update! I am not willing to pay $10 for this game. $4.80 only yes because I really like this game. Thirdly, I paid for this game and added this game to my brother's ipod but guess what? It says that I paid $4.80 twice! So my $4.80 just disappeared and when I contacted itunes about this they declined it! Now this is the good part about the game. The graphics are great, the animation is detailed and the storyline at first is good, has humour in it aswell. Very addictive game with many heroes to select from (if you buy the game). ✓ Update 2.2 ReviewThis game is gonna become better, because an update heading right on! It has some major balance fixes, making Ladybug and Hopper become more noticed. Hopper gets more starting speed, more melee armour, Parry and Faith get better chance and Block is now cheaper and with a quicker cooldown. Ladybug gets better ranged armour, damage abilities like Lunge get a significant damage boost the more you upgrade her weapon, she blocks more than 75% damage with a successful Advantage or Riposte and Impale gets better damage, becoming an extremely useful game changer on Queen Ants and Giant Spiders. Bug Heroes is da bomb and this update is gonna make my addiction to Ladybug and Hopper shine even more! Best app I've seen on the IPod for sure!.Version: 2.3.1

Graphics may be unpolished but the graphics suit the game so dont change them Some stuff to improve- -When your on a narrow edge bugs walk through you -dont put bosses in the game like some people suggest the centipedes are enough - more weapons and equipable items - make it so you can recruit weak invincible bugs to your side and they stay with you for the whole game or make all three of the heroes you choose on the field at the same time as you and when you switch the two heroes just swap but you stay in the same spot - can add that when you rescue slaves they come to your side with guns and they are invincible and stay with you - and it does lag sometimes especially when you go back to the game after leaving your pod off for two minutes and has crashed twice with me - needs co op multiplayer up to 4 players that would make this game 10/5 cause i really like multiplayer games on ipod But fantastic game so addicting 6/5.Version: 2.3.1

✓ GreatThis is a great game. It could use better graphics though. Bug Heroes has a very unique and interesting plot. I like how you must gather food, bring it to your base, and defend it. I really like the turrets. They're cool. They also make the game survivable after stage ten. You now, no turrets would make a good hard core mode. They have very good ideas like machine gun, zapper/stunner, sniper, bug bomb, (It's power and radius is bigger than a bug nuke,) which explodes once your food is lower than 125. Well, your bases food. My favorite (so far,) is the firecracker turret which is basically a mortar. The only thing that would make it better is a custom level designer. And I like how they made bug guts instead of blood. If you like defense games you should get it. Also it's sort of like the game gun bros., (except better,) if you've played that..Version: 2.4.3

✓ I really like thisGot this yesterday and I think I've put about 8 hours into it so far, I absolutely love it! Unfortunately it has also crashed 3 times, please fix! The three different bug heroes are really fun to play and have a number of different abilities. The game has some very strategic elements in tower defence and resource management, and RPG elements in that heroes gain experience and have a number of different stats to level up and different equipment to buy. There are also a number of unlockable towers and abilities, and the hero screen has a number of "coming soon" spaces, suggesting that there will be new heroes in the future. This is the first time I've written a real review, and its basically because I love this game, its a real hidden gem! Highly recommended, even more so if the crashing issue is fixed (even though three crashes in about 8 hours isn't THAT bad)..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Amazing then, amazing now.I absolutely ADORED this game as a kid, i’d play it for hours and hours! I recently found it again on my iPad after I had gotten the data from my older one onto my newest one. The graphics were good even for the time. I actually even expected this to be on the ds or something. The combat has just enough complexity to where it’s really rewarding to learn attack timings and get your positioning right. I love how this system even carries over to the shooting controls! You can have your character automatically lock on to the closest enemy to save you the aiming but then you HAVE to attack the closest one, when you disable lock on you aim yourself Which allows you to pick who you’re shooting at. ✓ The Ultimate DOTABug Heroes is by far the best version of the DOTA type rpg-gladiator game I have ever played. The premise is simple enough, you are a bug defending his stash of food from hordes of hungry insects and vermin. However the game is much deeper than the premise, providing a very fun brawl through masses of slimy bugs. The leveling system is simple and easy to grasp, specialities being quick to master and operate. The variety of heroes is remarkable, each character having a fully developed and unique set of skills. The game allows you to be a more defensive player, fortifying your base with heavy turrets and mines but also allows you to be very proactive, getting out and dishing the pain with massive clubs or poisoned knives. ✓ Original, strategic, action, quirky, FUN! IAPs worth it!I like the alternate bugs, but their level up skills don't make sense. For example Termite who can switch to Roach, has the "lucky shot" skill. He carries a drill, not a gun...useless skill. It would have been cooler if they came with new perks and equipment. Still, it's an outstanding game, and doesn't crash as much. This is an endless survival defense game so dont expect to "beat" it. That's not what Bug Heroes is about. There is no ending to any level, just all out survival by your own skills until inevitable doom. This game was outstanding already (except for crashes) but this update is a grand slam! The amount of standard content is high quality and more than most games offer. Now with the new IAPs it's like a whole another sequels worth has been added for very little cash. The $4 it costs to unlock all the additional content is absolutely worth every penny! If you like to play great games then you should support the developers and buy it. The developers really put a lot of personal touches like the characters little catchphrases and all the bug puns. Theres a deluxe version so you can get all the iap in one purchase, or you can purchase them seperately in this version. Honestly the only issue ive found is that the reinforcements iap sometimes didnt have many different level up skills. But one thing which I found ANNOYING!!!!!!!: say the hero is moving in some direction, then something (hero selection/ stash weapon panel) pops up, after exiting the pannel, even if my finger keeps holding on the left stick, the left stick is always reset and hero just stand still and get hit, until I lift the finger and touch the stick again. It's April 2015 and bug heroes 2 is out, you should probably fix that. Problem number two: with the reinforcements pack-thing (which is the best pack to get) let's say I'm playing as pill bug, but when I open up the upgrades menu, it says ladybug on all the abilities O.o problem number three: the store still says "new!" ...It's not new anymore. ✓ Absolutely spotless.A closed minded individual would be quick to point out the game’s dated aesthetic, but to me, that only adds to the endless charm that this game exudes. the music? absolutely incredible. no other music would fit this game as well as it does, and it without fail will lose me in the world of bug heroes. but enough about how the game is presented, how’s the actual gameplay? well as the title suggested, spotless. it would take me a very very long time to think of a hole in the game’s design. nothing is completely flawless but bug heroes is the closest to flawless I’ve ever seen a game come to. the biggest bug I’ve found in the game all about bugs is being able to get out of maps with assassin cut, but it’s never happened unintentionally. each hero has a reason to exist, a million different strategies to use, on top of being able to compliment the other heroes very well. but how about the enemies? I feel not a single enemy on the list is filler. every single enemy is unique in some way and they will shake up the gameplay in interesting ways. you’ve got your standard weak alone but strong in numbers enemies like the flea, army flea, and the army ant, and you’ve got your more tough enemies like the armor ant and the slug, then you’ve got the strongest ones like bumble bee and scorpion. this is where most games would hang it up and call it a day on the enemy design. instead of doing that, bug heroes will throw all sorts of new challenges your way with each new enemy encountered. here are some good examples: the mama spider is a giant spider that will spawn in one of the corners of the map, her babies will sprint towards you to latch on. if they do, you’ll be slowed slightly for each baby latched on, and you won’t be able to kill them until they all get pushed off which happens every few seconds. so once you see the baby spiders going for you, you know you have to hunt down the mama spider immediately before it becomes a big problem. or there’s the caterpillar which is the same sort of concept, however it will directly threaten your defense by either taking a huge chunk of your base’s health or killing it instantly. so it’s of the essence to kill it as quickly as you can. another bug on the “I need to kill this thing asap” is the centipede. which will make you focus your entire firepower directly on it, but it will warn you the second one spawns. there are also the specialty bugs like the ladybug which will continuously heal the other bugs, or the other ladybug variant which will shield them. in the playroom, the pond, and the yard, you’ve got hazards in the maps themselves that will try to kill you. all that is a tiny and I really do mean insignificantly teeny tiny piece of the gameplay explained away. that on top of base turrets, pickups, weapon upgrades, quests, coliseum, the insectopedia, achievements, and endless other things I’d be sitting here talking about for hours all combined into this incredible package of the game is what makes me truly believe that this is the greatest mobile game to ever exist. and I do not say that lightly. I’ve played so many countless mobile games, I know when it’s nostalgia guiding me and when it’s not, I know more about obscure games from over a decade ago than any sane person ever should. and out of any game I have ever played on mobile, heck, any game I’ve really played in general, none have ever had the amount of thought, love, and effort put into the game especially given the circumstances of development as this one has. it will continue to endlessly fascinate me as to how something of this quality was even created and will forever inspire me to better myself. it is my favorite piece of media ever and will always continue to be. if I only had one six star review to give in my entire lifetime it would be this game. to say I recommend this game would be an incredibly large understatement. support the devs and either download this or buy the premium version. you will not regret it..Version: 2.5

✓ AWESOME... butBest game ive downloaded in a long while, even better because its free. I spent a good 3 hours playing it without realising the time :) But it does crash conistently when the bug bomb turret goes off, but that is the only glitch i found 9.5/10.Version: 2.0

I would give this game 5 stars as it is the perfect RPG with such depth and it’s unique little world and style. I honestly think it outshines big heroes 2, but mostly in the music and simplicity departments. So many good memories. ✓ Good now then previousThen The main idea of the game is brilliant but there is one big problem, there is only one type of gameplay which is rounds which gets harder and harder until die and you have to start all over again. It would be better if it had some sort of campaign or an online battle. I hope you do something about what I have said. I give it a 3 star Now Thank you for doing bug heroes quest, I think it's fantastic, what about online though.
