✓ Not as hard as everyone is sayingNo need to enter the app, copy, go back into email or message, and paste the character. Just open this app one time, copy a symbol, and make a keyboard shortcut for it. For example, copy the ♂ symbol, make a keyboard shortcut for female, and it'll be available every time you use the word...Version: 1.3

✓ Good app!!I've used this special symbols app for probably about 3-4 years. It's very easy to use (just copy & paste), & it's free! However, for $.99 you get about 4 times as many symbols, so it's definitely worth it. I LOVE all the choices for crosses! YAY!!.Version: 2.3.3

✓ A Trick for Using Special Characters on the iPadI wanted a few of these. But here is how you can make them useful: Go to Settings ➤ General ➤ Keyboard ➤ Add new short cut. Paste the symbol in the top field followed by a space. Type a 2 or 3 letter name in the bottom. (I used rt for the symbol above). Press the save button. Now whenever you enter the word rt auto correct will give you ➤.Version: 1.2.0
✓ Great app, does what it says on the tin!Would like to see the ability to copy more than a single symbol at a time, and also a 'recently used' list. It's a shame that Apple restrict development on the actual ipad keyboard, and that a 'not ideal' alternative for symbols such as this must be used..Version: 1.1

✓ ULTIMATE RIP OFF!!!This WAS the best free app of its kind before the "update" took most of the characters away, forcing you to purchase what you had in the first place. NEW: Purchase options include a reduced cost for veterans (among others). But when you select that option, you are still charged full price (4 times the amount).
