Pill Monitor Pro for Negative User Reviews

Taken AllSince your update of a few days ago, when I tap the Taken All button on the top right corner, it closes out the app. This happens every time. I have to tap each individual medication to log that it was taken. Please fix..Version: 5.0

DON'T BUY THIS CHEAP CR*PWorst pill reminder app ever. Works for about a day. Then it stops sending u reminders. Does Not keep track of your meds. And the customer service is terrible. They take for ever to get back to you and are no Help. Save ur money and move on..Version: 4.1

Not as good as it wasI downloaded this as I have to take meds at 12 hour intervals. Once set up it worked fine for a couple of weeks, then no sound! A silent reminder helps no one, Nd can be dangerous Tiesome.Version: 4.2

Basic, functional appNo bells and whistles, but it does the job of allowing me to track my medications. The interface could be more intuitive. I do wish the medications would list alphabetically by default, but you have to edit the order yourself. It would also be great if you could customize the colors or make it a bit nicer to look at. Would also love a “quick add” button to quickly log a medication right when you open the app instead of it defaulting to “reminders.” Overall, it’s usable..Version: 6.1

Good app if it worked fully.Design and use is fine although 1 alarm for multiple pills due at the same time would be better. The Badges seem to only work intermittently, so I emailed them but even after reminding them I had not had a response I still haven’t, hence only 3 Stars. Shame..Version: 6.0

One Major FlawSerious deficiency is that the reminder only rings once. If you happen to miss it, which will often happen, it does not follow up. This totally defeats the purpose. Other than that, I love the app. Really hope the developers fix this soon..Version: 1.7

DisappointedDifficult to use. Can't print/ email medication list that includes dosages - just medication names and strengths. Interface is confusing and messy. Not happy I spent money on this one..Version: 2.1

OkayIt's good for the meds I already take. But since update can't add more meds.Version: 3.2

Good concept but needs workI like that I can add pills that I take as needed and keep track of those. I would really like a report function where I could see how many of a particular drug I took in a given month or other time frame of my choosing. Also it needs a delete function. If you make a mistake and record a pill as taken you can't delete it, which makes history inaccurate. Some kind of bug just made all my reminders show up twice so now it looks like I took everything twice and I can't delete them..Version: 1.7

Too many quirks...........I love the idea, and most of the functionality works well,....... but if you change your notice sound.... it shoves a bunch of already dismissed doses back in. You have to dismiss again. And if you want to know what med is coming up next, you have to go into each med..... and click from current/due to upcoming. Upcoming should ago on the main page, same place it shows you the “last” dose..Version: 4.2

Good post-op app for tracking multiple meds but notifications don't workYou can track multiple medicines at different time of the day. I was a bit confused about entering dosages and how to put this is number of pills but have now worked this out. The notifications have never worked properly for me ... They seem to work for a while and then fail so I certainly don't rely on this to remember to take meds. Suggested additions ... a link to a lookup about meds to give more info and ability to track meds for multiple users so that you could track for the kids..Version: 3.3

Total waste of moneyIt's annoying and unnecessarily complicated. If you're just looking for simple way to timestamp and track your dosage then keep looking..Version: 2.0

Need updatingHard to adjust long term meds apart from delete and start again. Same for adjusting timeings..Version: 6.1

Back to 2 starsI give up. Uninstalled it the app. ——————-last review————- For the last 4 months no reminders. I had to back them up with alarms from the phone’s clock (iPhone 7). Recently I deleted all reminders, and I only use the app to keep an electronic list of drugs I take. Previous reviews. The app is reliable in sounding and visually displaying reminders. The addition of the clear all reminders works great and saves time. Setup could be streamlined. The main thing is no missed doses. ———————- Previous review This is an update on my previous review. The developer feels compelled to disable reminders if you have not responded to previous reminders. I guess the greater sin is to not record your actions rather than the developer purposely disabling the reminders. Rather than provide options to the customer how best to use this application, the developer dictates to the customer. Previous Review: Would be a 5 star app, if it did the most important thing which is to sound the reminder. The app initially both sound and visually display the reminders on the IPhone screen. But suddenly just stopped. After several emails with the developer, this problem is still unresolved..Version: 4.2

What’s with the greed?I purchased the pro version back in 2015. But now I’m being forced to subscribe or I can no longer log my med doses. Granted, the subscription rates are fairly cheap but it’s a matter of principal. The app still has the same old user interface with no MAJOR updates in the 7 years I’ve been using the app. So how can you possibly justify this? Furthermore, I had an issue a while back and the developer did not respond to any of my emails. When my “free 3 month trial” is up I will not be renewing. I will use a different pill tracking app even if I have to subscribe. I just don’t want to give my money to you people. Good riddance!.Version: 7.0

Really needs improvementThis software company has some great apps. However this one needs big improvements. If you take multiple pills you have to take each pill individually. There is no take all button. Also if you take a pill when needed there is no easy take now button. It just isn't up to the task as it should be. It's okay but needs to be overhauled soon..Version: 3.1

I like it....I wish there was a way to do half pills. I need to list 0.5 and 1.5 but can't. Also, I can't contact support through the app, though it is listed in the settings..Version: 3.0.1

Pill monitorI am more regular with my medication because of this app I think a more prominent on screen notification would be better as if you ignore the initial notification the app does not light up in the same way as an email or text message does, requiring you to open app to remove message.Version: 6.0

Very deceptive and misleadingI could give this app 5 stars because it does what I need. There is a free version with ads and this “pro” version paid. The paying for pro version would imply it’s a full version of the app. Nope. Same as the free version only no ads and I was informed after purchasing it’s only good for six months then you have to subscribe. So your PAYING for a TRIAL. Who does that? Deceptive. Misleading. It’s MALICIOUS marketing and should be BANNED from apple..Version: 7.0

Early DaysFree app seemed to cover most bases, but when I decided to upgrade I was somewhat dismayed to discover ANOTHER COPY of the app installed. As there's no EXPORT/IMPORT data option it means MANUALLY re-entering all data? Surely UPGRADE implies a transition/mod of the original app to the enhanced level with data retention. That's been my experience with other app upgrades. Oh BTW, tried "App Support" first in fairness to the developer, but landed on a "parked domain". Support is critical, so I changed my rating from 3 to 1 star, probs could have been even a 4 if I'd gotten some dialog about future enhancements, fixes. By all means try the FREE version if you need to keep info about your drugs handy, but as crazy as this sounds, pay the 99cents upfront if it's important to have it working for you and you don't want to waste time transferring/rekeying data..Version: 1.1

Reminder would be better to stay indicatingI get a reminder, that's good. But, it should show uncleared events on apps icon until it's marked as done..Version: 1.7

Back to 2 starsI have offered suggestions but you have not listened and recently you nade vhanges incthe free vetsion that were downright “mean.” Suddenly the names on many of my medicines became so miniscule in size that I am unable to read them. What the &$// is wrong with you? Did you think it would convert me when I had not seen the other changes made?.Version: 5.0

Sort the Alerts!Sorry I have given one star but this is the only to get anyone to take any notice these days. If this issue is sorted all remove the rating and add 5 stars. So this app is vital for health. But when an alert sounds even if it’s on “high pitch” it does two small quiet noises and that’s it. It doesn’t keep alerting until is is responded to - which in my opinion it should. Also I don’t think you’re fully engaged the new APOs from Apple around Focus and Time Sensitive Alavert’s. If I was in a work meeting but had to take important time sensitive heart medication or antibiotics or HIV medication, even if I had silenced calls and WhatsApp’s and instagram messages from my buddies I would WANT the alert to be loud and clear so I could excuse myself and do what I need to do to protect my life. Same at night. I don’t want to be woken by friends drunk-calls at 3am. But. I do need to be woken to take certain medication otherwise I wake up on pain and unable to work. The rest of the app os amazing. Only other suggestion would be an “audit” tool for the numbers of medications left. You can amend them via “fill up” but it may not be that they have been used. They maybe have loat or forgotten about and thrown away. And so it’s not as simple as just adding a defill to the existing number - ok mostly it is - but someone’s one needs to do a full count of everything that have at a set time and date as as not to affect reminders and re-input these numbers so it’s is precise moving forward..Version: 7.0

No longer usable unless you pay for a subscriptionI’ve been using this app for years to monitor all my meds, but now I can’t do anything on it unless I sign up for a subscription and pay a fee. I understand needing to fund the app and would have been happy to pay a reasonable one time price to “unlock or upgrade to the full version” but I refuse to pay monthly or yearly to use something I use to get for free. Guess it’s time to find a new app..Version: 7.0

Great AppGood price and easy to use; however.. Would be better if it connected to the apple health app. The. This would be the best app available. I would be happy to pay more for this feature..Version: 3.3

Does NOT workIt is useless as a reminder to take your pill. All you get is a message on your screen once, that is easy to miss. It works as a log but what good is a log if you forgot todays pill.Version: 2.1

Disappointed Pro UserI’m not happy that I paid for the pro version and I’m now being asked to pay $10 a year to use the same features. I’ve since found another app (Round) that does what I need, and in my option seems to be a great alternative. I’m really disappointed in the obvious money grab here..Version: 7.0

Can't get audio alarm to work consistentlyI always get text notifications of the alarms I set but the audio alarms are hit and miss. Many times I've tested it by having the phone in my hand, ensuring my volume is on and at the max, waiting for the audio alarm and all I get is a text notification. I've also tried changing to different audio sounds and it doesn't help. And support wasn't helpful at all. Not a useful app if I can't trust that the audio alarm will sound..Version: 4.0

DANGEROUS APP! READ BEFORE UPGRADING!Whilst this app is full of bugs, if doses are entered manually and the history tab is used to view the records- it will provide the service it states HOWEVER! You are only allowed 50 entries before you must upgrade. EXPORT YOUR DATA BEFORE UPGRADING! You will not receive any warning that all data and records will be lost once the app is upgraded. THIS PUTS THOSE ON COMPLEX MEDICATION SCHEDULES CONTAINING CONTROLLED DANGEROUS DRUGS AT RISK OF OVERDOSE!!!! I have notified them via the internal 'rate this app' email function of this negligent oversight, and under the legal obligation of DUTY OF CARE, are now legally liable for any ramifications of not providing a WARNING PRIOR TO UPGRADING THEIR APP. Now I have no records to track my mess prior to upgrading, and nothing to give to my GP as I was required to do as part of my treatment plan. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR AN APP DESIGNED TO MANAGE MEDICATION!!!.Version: 3.3

Pill MonitorNot happy having to pay again for something I have already paid for. Happy to see Apple will be doing one in IOS 16. Will cancel this one..Version: 7.0

Pill monitor -not my best app nowUsed the app for years. Helps me manage my meds, has useful reminders and great for multiple medications including tablets, inhalers, creams etc. Only gripe is it tells me I cant take a medication due to low quantities even though I update them. Must be a bug because it says reorder when the maximum quantity has already been entered and the dose is small enough to last months. Annoying so please fix but otherwise would recommend and have done. Support haven’t said if a fix is due so reduced my rating..Version: 7.0

It's just okApp is ok. The reason I say only ok is because it only beeps once to remind you but if you don't happen to hear your phone, then you mind as well not have an app because it won't remind you again..Version: 1.6

Upgrade ProblemsI'm very disappointed with the paid upgrade. The upgrade has lost all my previous logs. Why does this happen? Otherwise the app works pretty well.Version: 1.7

Does the jobIt does what it says on the tin. A little bit clunky and not overly intuitive - but you can input whatever medication you want and it reminds you to take and keeps a history of the info. 2 things to improve it - 1 make the history screen a little more visual - trying to go back in and check how often I have needed my ventolin, or how often I forget my anti histamine is bit of a chore. 2 - let it talk to the apple health app so I can see 1 above with all my other health data..Version: 3.2

It’s has started crashingIt was a great program until it started crashing each time I tried to mark the option “taken all “. I’m still trying to figure out why and can’t find a solution. I’ve tried everything. I have to check off each medicine individually in the remind section. I’m disappointed because I was really enjoying the app..Version: 5.0

Not the best for a paid appFor a paid app I would think it would sync better. I often find when I do hit the taken button either my phone or watch the app doesn’t sync it with the notification. I keep using because I paid for it..Version: 6.1

Newest feature is annoying. Where is the Taken All button? This is an OK app that gets the job done, but there are annoying things about it such as the convenient “Taken All” button which has been inexplicably removed. It made logging multiple medications much easier. However, the newest feature that makes me want to delete the app is the Refill Reminder. The only people this feature might benefit are those who get prescriptions at regular intervals, but we already know when we need more because we A) look in the bottle when we take the meds or fill our pill organizers; and B) buy new prescriptions regularly. This reminder feature just adds another complication. The app will literally prevent you from logging a drug until you update the quantity to more than zero. It’s just so stupid..Version: 6.0

Driven by greed - intend to deleteHave used for many years - simple app, no real changes over the years and now repeatedly asking for subscription - NO justification and simply NOT worth it. If it stops working I will delete.Version: 7.0

Worked great for awhileThis app stopped working. Every time I try to press the ‘taken all’ button the app now shuts down. I deleted the app app reinstalled and still shuts down. Hopefully they fix this issue.Version: 5.0

Good reminderIt works. Does what it says..Version: 1.7

Not happyAbsolute waste of money.Version: 7.0

No reminderAwesome interface and data input but it crashed in latest IOS on a 4S and it never sent a reminder, not once so basically useless..Version: 2.1

Upgrade isn't an upgradeThis app doesn't transfer information from the free ap when you upgrade so you have to renter everything.Version: 4.1.2

Awesome AppHowever I am unsure of how to set the alarm for reminders to go off..... Other than that I love it.Version: 2.1

I paid for the app…to make it subscription model and lock users out is CRIMINALWhat a bunch of crooks!.Version: 7.0

Paid for Pro but they want me to pay againPreviously I used the free version of the app, was happy enough with it to want to pay for the upgrade to the Pro version (exactly the same as the free version from my experience) now I keep getting pop ups wanting more money through subscription. The app isn’t good enough to justify the price the want to charge and I certainly won’t be downloading the app again if it stops working. That’s the app now stopped working, can’t progress without paying a ridiculous subscription price for an app that fails to actually do anything I wanted other than save me having to go through my bags of pills to check how much I have..Version: 7.0

Nice clean App, but...Overall very nice App, but we need to be able to send all info to our doctors, such as how were doing with out schedule. Another very important one is sending our Notes etc.! P.S. Why can we only send our Medication info? Don't our doctors already know that? They prescribed them to us!.Version: 2.1
