✓ MadThe game was fun, until the food started to run out within a matter of minutes. Both me and my friend noticed multiple bugs with food as a whole. Firstly, the food gets eaten in a matter of seconds, my friend had 700 food before going to bed and woke up to her entire village dead from hunger. I woke up to 50 food and a lot of panic. Secondly, my villagers WILL NOT farm until I am on the app. I will leave my phone for a few minutes, come back, and see the farmers are in the exact same spot, but time has passed. It’s hella annoying but this combo of glitches is horrendous. The villagers walk slow as all hell, and you just sit there and watch ur villagers collect food for about 30-40 minutes before you can leave the app or else you’re village will die. Don’t download this game. It was a good memory, but let it die. I saw a review having the same complaint from FOUR YEARS AGO.. they’ll never fix this bug. Don’t waste your time..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Not a good mobile gamePlayed an hour. There is no save option. Came back that night - all villagers dead. Now I get to start all over but with different names. Tried again, using a tutorial this time. Discovered some science, made 2 babies. Came back next day and - all villagers dead. Tried yesterday and saw so many options to "upgrade" for money. Still, coming from games like Tiny Tower I was still able to get some enjoyment even without coughing up money. I played for 1/2 hour but the next morning you guessed it - all villagers dead. ✓ DisgracefulI have had fun playing this game for about 24 hours, all my villagers were healthy. I left the game for an hour and came back and half my villagers had died. I was horrified when I saw skeletons on the floor! There are kids playing this game you know! You could haunt them for life!! I checked all my remaining villagers and they were all healthy. ✓ Great game but...So I got this game a few days ago and I loved it the first time I played it. But as I went on and my population grew, people started dying a lot and my food started to disappear a lot. This would usually happen when I would go a half day without playing the game and I would come back to find almost all my food gone and a good amount of my perfectly healthy before villagers dead. This matter isn’t fair because most people (like myself) aren’t and don’t want to be on their phones 24/7 so some improvements that could be made are making the villagers capable of surviving up to a few days without the user without dying. All I really can say about the food problem is if I leave please only let eat about 100 max. food at a time. Great game but needs some improvements..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Don’t bother playingGame was okay, until the most recent update. They added commercials during GAME PLAY. So if your trying to do something a commercial will just pop up, and you have to wait till it’s over, then go back and start over. Also they added them so every time you make something, you have to watch another commercial before you can collect your item. I’ve written in a couple of times telling them this is ridiculous, and they written back saying they simply don’t care how players feel. So I don’t play anymore. ✓ MessyInteresting.. It's very distorted compared to virtual families 2. Virtual families 2 is very neat in the setup. Plz have it so builders can make a toilet room or something cos peeing in the bush is quite disturbing. Make it more virtual and the setup like virtual families. ✓ This game...I am ANNOYED! The villagers a way toooo slow even on x2 speed! And when you go to the harvesting crop phase, every time you replant it takes even longer! I also HATE looking at the top right at a miniature screen and the adverts make it worse! The prices for the technology are also 'ridiculous' and it takes ages to get the points you need! I also think that the berry bush should get its berries back over a time. I am also a little confused with the construction as their isn't anything else to do after you have crafted the house and cleared the beach, am I supposed upgrade the tech? However, it does take the time away and it can be fun sometimes. But my first time playing it, I left it overnight and everybody died due to starvation because THE BERRY BUSH DIDNT REPLENISH ITSELF! ✓ Riddled with bugsThis version is THICK with bugs, and the bugs obviously seem to be designed to encourage purchases. For one thing the game does not pause, it says it pauses, but it does not pause, period, you pause with 1200 food, leave and come back and there's no food and 3 people are dead? How? It was paused. I'm deleting this, there should be a part of the apple store where you can report apps for behavior like this and they can mass refund customers and ban apps that are broken and ban creators after making too many broken products. I won't buy any more products with in app purchases from this maker because they either don't care that their product is broken or they broke it on purpose. Gross behavior. Also wanna add the people claiming it isn't broken are clearly paid to say that, what they're saying doesn't make sense. Unless you pay for double food it will randomly run out even if ALL your villagers are tasked on it, 10 people collecting food and they still ran out? Kinda sounds like a DELIBERATE bug to me. Meanwhile I play the paid versions of these games for $2 and there are no such bugs in any of those games. Weird, it's almost like the proof is in the pudding..Version: 1.0.3

But for me that isn’t a problem you just need most villagers at research table to get more search points. Secondly It would be good to see what generation your on and see your family tree. Really good game and for you beginners focus all your points on food. Another problem is In one of the events it says villager finds a book I usually pick yes read, and then to goes somewhere never to be seen again I just don’t get it I don’t see anywhere else except the beach area so I have no idea where they could of gone. ✓ The game is great but your gonna have to pay 99 cents to actually winUpdate: all my villagers died on easy mode. i paid alot of attention to this game and i got all the best options for islands events but i wasnt able to sustain my population becausethe 3rd tier 100k food tech option is not reachable. You will run out of crops and berries way before you are able to afford the 3rd tier food upgrade. I had 55k tech points before i lost. Unless you pay 99 cents to get the 100k tech points to buy the fishing upgrade you wont be able to beat this game. Overall its still fun but they should have kept the tech upgrades prices the same as the PC version and just charged 99 cents for the app instead of having it free and the more expensive tech upgrades. OLD REVIEW: used to play this game all the time on my laptop when i was in school. ✓ Don’t download.When I made my first tribe, it was fun. But things have changed. Tech points at very hard to obtain. It takes the scientist 3 million years even to get 1. Yeah, you can purchase them, bu what’s the point? They run out in 2 minutes because the things you can buy with them are very expensive. And the dying. You leave the game for like,2 days, and then your whole tribe is dead. If you’re lucky, a child will be left behind, but all they can do is dance and explore and other crap. And when the tribe dies, it has some pointless excuse like “everyone had measles” or “high tide”. Seriously? I expected more from this game. If you are reading this, go download Virtual Families. ✓ Only Fun For A DayIn the beginning, it's super fun. Maybe that's why they hound you for a review so early on. Very quickly you learn that to do ANYTHING you have to constantly earn higher and higher numbers of tech points to buy levels of skills. If you could earn farming tech points for all your farming, or building tech points for your building (and just have the research table for general tech points that could be assigned anywhere) that would be great, but no. So you end up having 30 people crowded around the research table, with a couple people assigned to the other jobs, just so every couple days you can buy a level in some skill that is required to do the next puzzle. This game is like 10% actually doing new stuff and 90% leaving the village to research. I finished it, but it was so boring by the end. Deleting immediately..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Love the game..But NOT happy with the glitches. I'm half way through the game, a crate washes up (I had over 3000 food), it gives me 1000 food, for finding bananas, then my food meter reads 422!! Which is obviously gone in minutes! I bred 3 people, got 3 babies, I came back and 9 babies! All my researchers.. That's fine, I had food to feed them, but after that glitch, they're all gonna starve! I really don't want to cheat by buying food! ✓ Glitching?1. I would like to say to all those complaining of not having enough food sources- you have to get tech points from research then use them to upgrade farming. After that you can grow a garden if you have uncovered your well. 2. My game has restarted on its own 4-5 times. The first time I thought I did it by accident, until I purposely restarted it once and saw you have to hit a second button to make sure you want to start over. Every time after that I KNOW I did not restart. This is in the matter of 2 days. Would LOVE to play and give 5 stars, but can’t do that when I’m getting kicked back after minimal game play each time. ✓ More frustrating than it should be...I had this game for my PC years ago and I loved it. And when I saw it on the App Store, I immediately recognized it and was so excited to have it again for my iPad. But I haven't even had it for a full 24 hours and I'm already beyond frustrated with it. My food supply constantly diminishes, no matter how many people I have foraging. ✓ PointlessIt’s actually a bit lame, you’ll like it if you enjoy wasting moments of your life. I liked it at first but the novelty wore off quickly. There are 6 tech’s that can be upgraded 2 times. It takes a bit of time to come up with the tech points to achieve that and what you get for it is virtually nothing. Start the game and your builder starts working on a hut, takes him 3 years to build, the only thing for him to do once he finishes is clear some debris from the beach, after the construction upgrade he can remove some rocks from a blocked stream, then it’s another 100,000 tech points to find out what he’ll do next. There is practically nothing you can do to alter the pace the village grow, no option to build other things at all. It’s a big waste of time. What’s funny is that you can “ purchase “ tech points, I’m sure the people who’ve been stupid enough to do that we’re quite disappointed since it probably bought them almost no additional enjoyment in the game..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Incredibly slowI understand the game wanting to be a long-term goal, buts it’s INCREDIBLY slow. I even bought some tech points, hoping to speed the process but it hardly did anything. If the huts are built and river is cleared — your builders will never progress as there is nothing for them to do. Tech points take FOREVER to accumulate, so maybe just check back in two weeks and hopefully there MIGHT be a good sum, but never enough as leveling up costs 160k+ tech points.
