✓ Tournament TricksI feel that the game is geared when playing tournaments. It has over time become a lot harder to get a decent score, or be up there with the winners unless you buy in app purchases giving you more game time. I don't buy them, so have a very slim chance of being on the leader board now..Version: 2.2.12
✓ RuzzleNewest update to free game after privacy agreement is awful and the game is no longer fun. My new phone freezes in the game repeatedly. Because the ads are too numerous and you are forced to hit them because they cover the play button, the game is no longer fun. There are double ads and for no reason you are taken to the web or to the App Store due to an ad or seemingly nothing. Have played a lot but will be stopping when my patience with all of this is done. I hope the developer will stop this because the only reason to play a game is for fun. The barrage of constant ads whenever you do anything is not fun. And I’m sure I am not the only one feeling this way. Your profits will ultimately suffer because people may not come back after they leave. Favorite game but what is with the long time with the logo that started tonight? Then the game is sped up and uncomfortable to play. What time was updated? It's not working. I can see the logo just fine on the Ruzzle screen. Also, I was knocked out of the game due to a call. It said to tap to return to the game. When I did, it said that the game was over due to cheating. What? So at 11 words the game ended. This has happened before after a call. I don't even know how to cheat with game, nor do I need or want to. This needs to be corrected..Version: 2.3.19
✓ ProblemI have played this game for years, and have enjoyed it. However, recently the game has been crashing. I thought I had read that this had been solved with an update to correct this problem. I have seen no update and the problem is getting worse. I have tried 6 times to start a game today and the closest I have got is being able to select play before it crashes. ✓ Many words are made upToo many words are completely made up and not found in any real dictionary. This gives players who have memorized the game an unfair advantage. To the point where real players will almost never win. Examples: AA, EA, ER, HA, AH, YA, EE, IO, HAA, YAH, ES, etc. I get that a lot of these are (wrongly) in the official Scrabble dictionary, but acronyms, Spanish words, some names (but not most, so it's impossible to guess) should not be allowed. Exclamations aren't super awful, but they add to the overall problem; you can win over and over again without finding or spelling a single real word. It's silly. Especially when 40+ 2- and 3- letter acronyms result in one player beating another who spent all her time spelling out 30+ real 5- and 6-letter words. All because the vowels had Triple Word bonuses. Enjoy, if it's your type of game, but I found it to be a waste of time. Once I learned the tricks and started to win more than half the time, it was boring..Version: 2.4.18
✓ Customer service needs to step up!!Last update, photo of both Ipad app pic satisfied the developer that I had indeed paid. Thanks ruzzle...5 stars to 3. So you email them and absolutely NOTHING. Enjoy, but I can't use an app from a developer that feels just because they reply to a problem that somehow means they have given good customer service. Resolving an issue quickly is good customer service. Not just a polite email basically saying...you own the issue, prove it! Update to comments below... The developer is asking me to prove it with records from YEARS ago and take a snap shot to prove it...cause I must be a liar. I did one better...turned on the old pad and new one...showing both screens One with ad one without. Apparently the mentality of the developer and support is we are liars. Yep! Awe full. Shameful. They need to reevaluate how they handle such a small thing. I have been in touch with customer support. I recently got a new pad, replacing an identical pad and now I get pop up ads. ✓ Ruzzle update on iPhoneGreat great game that is addicting! Occasionally it gives the same game board for two games, n I wish I knew whether its better to play double word or double length, but overall a great game! I LOVE this game, and have been playing it for years! HOWEVER.... a warning to anyone doing an update of the app.... .... I was playing an old version of the app, which allowed me to play in a weekly tournament for free, and watch a couple videos to get free boosters for the weekly tournament. After updating the app (August 2020) I can no longer play in the weekly tournament for free, or get the boosters for free... I now have to use the black “R” coins EACH TIME I PLAY A GAME AND USE ANY BOOSTERS IN THE TOURNAMENT! I played the weekly tournament about 30-50 times a day.... obviously I can no longer do that now that I have to pay for each game and each booster. the update is a huge disappointment!.Version: 3.2.2
✓ So many ads the game isn't funYou have way to many ads. I understand you get paid for advertising but there are so many in comparison to actual play time . It comes across like you not only want advertiser's money but you want your players money also by having so many ads in which you also include your ad free version . Why don't you just cut to the chase and make this a paid app? At least then you would not be playing your players like fools. Also this is my 4th review and have not seen 1) any of said reviews posted, 2) any improvement in the game if anything there are now more and longer ads. Your explanation to other reviews is your standard go to " we need ads to pay for the app " is getting pretty redundant. I understand ads mean money, but, use ads that aren’t pushing your agenda…the content of these ads are absolutely trash. 9 out of 10 ads are garbage. They claim it’s MY algorithm “likes”. B.S.! ✓ SupergranAbout to delete this game, used to love it but now adverts crash into the middle of your game and bring it to an end. Some adverts between games cause the whole thing to close and I have to re-open the app and start again and it's no longer a pleasant and relaxing experience to play Ruzzle. Sorry. ✓ Updates Ruined it!!So-called bug fixes have completely destroyed this game. Now the same grid with the same player forces you into an eternal Groundhog Day of repeated, unresolved play. I’m done with it now. Update: got a “response” from the developer that led nowhere (ie nobody to actually write to or communicate with, although there seemed to be some kind of acknowledgement that I had made this negative review). Uploaded the game again just to find the same problem, completely unresolved. I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years with no problems whatsoever so it’s not like I’m unfamiliar with how it works. ✓ Same glitches for YEARSWhen you’re playing a team game and your opponent has you trapped in a game because they aren’t finishing and so they leave you in limbo (which can be days!), unable to continue contributing to your team score, you should have the option of leaving the game without penalty. It’s really unfair that resigning from a game you’re trapped in results in you losing chips as though you’ve lost the game. At the very least there should be an option to nudge them. This has been as issue for years, I don’t understand why it hasn’t been dealt with..Version: 2.4.0

✓ Go back to the old gameThey changed the entire format of the game. I wouldn’t consider that an ‘update.’ I give it two stars because the original boggle-type play is still fun. But playing weekly tournaments were fun too, and now you can’t play without paying a lot of real cash or watching many, many (many!) full 30 SECOND ads. Their repetitive ads often stop animation at the 20 second mark, but you still have to stare at the screen for the full 30 seconds in order to earn the coins you need. (Yes, I did watch A LOT of ads before to earn boosters, but originally it was 1 ad = 1 booster. Now it’s about 4 ads = 1 booster. Ridiculous!) Personally, I don’t want to waste my life watching that many of the same ads or pay cash, but if I don’t, I can’t play at an equal level as my competitors... I’m very disappointed..Version: 3.1.0
✓ Hi.I find it frustrating that I get some really good words and end up with such a low score. And other times average words and win the game. I think it needs more consistency. And you shouldn't be able to 'win' the game by buying a win of more time etc. That doesn't make it a game at all. It is just a money making scam. ✓ Now offered odd letter selectionA recent update appears to have changed the way letters are allocated. There used to be a good mix - sometimes one would be able to make a lot of high scoring words and sometimes not. Now I seen to get very odd mixes with blocks of six ‘E’s or, just now a block of 5 ‘T’s with a sixth elsewhere on the board. Quite often there will be one vowel among the sixteen letters. ✓ Ruined by recent updateThis has been my favourite game for a long time, and I play with a fantastic team. Last week there was an update, taking away ink and requiring me to watch 4 or 5 times as many ads to get boosts. ✓ Used to be my favourite gameI keep getting scammed out of chips this is so annoying. My team won the tournament last week and got nothing. ✓ Team play frustrationsI enjoy the collaboration of a team working together and competing against other teams and I enjoy the fast pace, completing all three rounds and getting immediate win or loss. The quick pace of team play has improved my skills for the standard ruzzle that I've enjoyed for years. BUT the team ruzzle has little to do with skill. The winner often has paid for their victory. I know this because I frequently view the replay and low and behold I was keeping pace, a little ahead, or I was clearly winning, then BAM! The opponent has decided that this will be their win so they use their cheat. It's like a football team that is unsuccessful in getting down field so they hire a pickup truck and machine guns! It has nothing to do with competition, skill, ability, speed. It's just a card up their sleeve. When I play I choose to use my unaided ability so I loose all the time. MADDENING!!!.Version: 2.5.5
✓ Please stop score manipulationI love ruzzle and have been playing for years. Lately, however, I've been frustrated with Ruzzle for a quite obvious score rigging. Team play is really great and I have a lot of fun, but can't help but feel "played". You play 3 rounds against another player. Results are immediate, clearly pitting you against someone who already played but still used to the same boards. When Ruzzle thinks you shouldn't be quite so comfortable if your winning you find yourself losing that game majorly. I always watch the replay so I can see how others find words. Soooo many times when watching the replay I can see the other person finding words and then suddenly the whole board will light up (like they suddenly found a huge word) and your opponent's score will double. This happens waaay too often to be true. Losing doesn't bother me at all, in fact I enjoy learning from other players. But it's hard to enjoy the game when you feel like your (more appropriately you OPPONENT'S) score is rigged. I'll keep checking back to see if this gets fixed..Version: 2.4.18

✓ Changes to tournamentLoved playing in the weekly tournament and could play as many times as wanted daily to get the best score possible. However, this week it has all changed. ✓ This is terrible and possibly criminalI PAID for this app, so I would not see advertising, and with the expectation that people will not be able to use cheats. I am an above average player, but when there are people who are OBVIOUSLY cheating, you report them to the developers....who then do NOTHING. So in order to compete at some level, you would use boosters. You used to be able to just watch a video and you had about 7-8 free boosters; not anymore. You watch a video and you get about 30% of free boosters. Thus, the developer CHANGED the application requiring me to SPEND more money in order to be competitive. I am part of a team, and we are sick and tired of reporting abusers and seeing nothing happen. The developer has NO INCENTIVE to kick off cheaters as long as they make money. ✓ Fraud - don’t buy or downloadResponse to Developer: If my opponent uses a 20 second bonus, or solicits help from a teammate in order to beat me, then that is cheating, pure and simple. You say you are playing recorded games, so that means you have full knowledge that the recorded game has one or more 20 second bonuses, and/or help from a teammate. Therefore, you know that you are cheating. And the reason you are cheating is to get players like me to watch your videos or spend real money if we want any chance to win a league. If you can’t admit what you’re doing then either you’re in complete denial, or just flat out lying. Team play is a scam. The game leads you to believe you are playing against real opponents in real time, but you are not. The game then decides it will cheat against you, crediting your opponents with words that there is no way they could have come up with on their own. By doing this, the game makers force you to purchase more coins, or make you watch videos - if you want any chance of winning a match. ✓ AGAIN! The "Update" caused MORE issues!I've been playing Ruzzle for over a decade. I don't usually have too many tech issues. The most recent update, however, has made the game nearly unplayable. Suddenly, the experience/level bar in the top-left corner now blinks & flashes up and down during every. single. round. When I try to concentrate on playing words, all I see is the flashing of the green level bar. It creates "stickiness" in word play, it slows me down, and it causes me to make more errors. Then at the end of each round, I receive a message that says "Congrats!". It tells me I went up a level to level 60 and I'll be getting 100 coins. Well, I've been on level 60 for several YEARS! (I don't ever get the 100 bonus coins, either). I didn't think there was a level higher than 60, because as I said, I've been at level 60 for years. Oddly, my experience/level bar now shows me being at level 61. Huh? That was never a thing. And yet, after every round, I get the congrats/level up message/promise of 100 coins for reaching level 60! I don't get coins, I don't level up, and the level bar blinking and shaking during games is making it all but impossible to play. It could even be downright dangerous for someone with a seizure disorder. I hope they fix this ASAP!.Version: 3.9.8

✓ Terrible updateI have been a RUZZLE fanatic for years. Suddenly, very recently an upgrade has automatically changed the whole game AND my perception of it. The only thing that remains the same is the one-on-one player games, but coins are no longer accrued from these games thus there is no way to play in a weekly tournament without either watching endless ads or BUYING coins. Why did I pay for the ad-free version when it is now such an integral part of the process ( unless you want to hand over cash on a repeat basis). Communication with RUZZLE powers that be have left me empty. They don’t care. My recommendation? DON’T download this game, look for something else, less mercenary and more willing to listen to their customer base. By the way ..... you are required to use a nickname before posting. Every single one I have tried is claimed to “being used already”. I suspect it’s because it’s a one star review. ✓ Not a quality or fun game anymore.....This is my second review. First one is listed last. I enjoyed playing this game but the crap you have to put up with is NOT WORTH IT. While playing, the letters hesitate as you play so your score suffers, plus...I've been playing a long time and I have stats built up in the game and in the tournament. Then suddenly I was locked out of the tournament..could not play it anymore. Then I sent two messages to Ruzzel for help and no help. So For some reason I had to re-enter my email to sign in and the response was INVALID EMAIL. NO record of my email either that I've used for all of my games. Then said I had to establish new account ..so I tried but they changed my user name and password to one I didn't create. When I finally logged into this new account there was no evidence of me, or any past record of my longggg time playing stats. No decent customer service...if they had a good customer service to fix the first problem I would have given 5 stars. Obviously customers are NOT important to the, they have my money so to hell with me. .... This is my First Review. The new version is slow..touch is delayed...you touch a letter and in a second or so it registers. You can get any speed or accuracy with this fault. No fun anymore !! I have deleted it. ✓ Keeps crashingI have been playing this game for a few years now and really enjoy it. Unfortunately over the last few weeks it has been consistently crashing at the end of each game. ✓ Nix latest update!Before the latest update, there were different interfaces for iPhone and iPad. The iPad one made use of the larger screen area, and allowed the game to be played in landscape mode. I always found the iPhone version very confusing. I could never find some parts. The new version for iPad seems to be the iPhone version displayed on a bigger screen. It operates only in portrait mode, and is just as confusing as the iPhone version is. It is a waste of the big screen. Worse is that it is difficult to hold an iPad vertically if it has a cover on it. It is just too heavy. Even worse is that this major change was only described as "minor bug fixes". I can see myself playing a lot less than I used to. Later... A new update. At least the description says what has been changed this time. Operating in landscape mode on iPad is a definite improvement. However it is still the confusing iPhone layout, stretched far too wide for a large screen. You have a lot of space on an iPad - use it effectively; do not just mimic the iPhone layout. The letter grid is too small. Even at 2x it is significantly smaller than it used to be. There is no reason for this as there is plenty of unused space around it..Version: 2.2.1

✓ TOO MANY CHEATERS!!When this app first came out years ago, it was FANTASTIC. Now, however, it’s not good at all and there’s no real challenge. 98% of the people that I’ve run into are using the cheat app. It makes no sense to me. Why even play a skilled word game if you’re going to use a cheat bot? These games are meant to exercise the brain. I’m upset that the developers of this game can’t find a way to stop these people from cheating. I have some real life friends that I’ve played the board game Scrabble with. These friends are not necessarily good spellers. However, I recently invited a couple of them to this game to get some exercise on their ABC’s, and they had scores that were phenomenal. I asked them how they could get so many large words in such a short time, but can’t spell a 5 letter word in regular Scrabble. That was when I learned of the cheat apps. So for those of you looking for honest competition and good word fun, you might want to look elsewhere, because this game is not fun when everyone is cheating. PS: If you’re not good with words, maybe you should play the game the right way. You might learn something. And if you’re not interested in learning how to spell, there are plenty games available that require no brains at all. 🤯🤯🤯.Version: 2.5.12
✓ Advertisement incentive based gameBeen playing for a long time. It’s a nice interface with a few bugs they seem to sort out. Most bugs seem to revolve around advertisements that freeze the game. My big complaint as of late (and the reason for the low rating) is regarding tournament play. You are given random boards that vary quite a bit. If you choose to watch a couple adverts you can add 30 seconds and an extra triple word. This is important if you want to compete in the tournament. Here’s the rub - Recently they reduced the tournament boards to accept boards that contain extremely low word counts. Meaning that on one board I played had a total possible 16 words. In tournament play this board is useless. If you want to compete you need higher scoring boards. It’s not just the pure and utter greed of the owners of ruzzle who keep finding new ways to exploit and make more money but unless your in the top 50 best players in the world out of millions then it’s virtually impossible to improve on your skill level once you get above 2000! If you do it will take weeks and then it rapidly goes down as your pitted against impossible odds! I used to enjoy the weekly tournament which I played for more than a year until suddenly they made it so you could only play competitively if you paid them a ridiculous amount of money for coins! ✓ What happened to landscape orientation?I play Ruzzle on an I-pad. The game can no longer be played in landscape mode. It is very awkward playing in portrait mode. Especially since I use it mounted on a keyboard. PLEASE change this back to the way it was. ( I do not have the rotation lock on) Team play has changed, not sure what update, but rather recently. Our team is so sick of losing. We did not get worse at Ruzzle but the way the Game is now set up we lose so much. It used to be that Gold League would be difficult to come in the top three. However the Silver League was doable. Not any more. We lose more than we win. For example: at the moment our team has 15 loses and 11 wins. Our team score is 968. We are all so frustrated. It is obvious that the new focus is not entertainment but to force players to use currency to continue to play. None of my team will use our hard earned money to buy coins for more time or team help. In other words to win. What used to be a super enjoyable, stress-reliever is now a stress inducers. One additional note. ✓ New Tournament Structure UnbalancedPaid for the app years ago... Great game. I typically have played several times a day. The new tournament structure is simply unbalanced. It needs to be less chips to play a round and give out less at the top (I am sure other tweaks would work as well). The game has effectively been made to where the folks spending money will always have a tremendous advantage over ones unwilling to take part in micro transactions. While this is standard nowadays, this is just a little too greedy in this instance. The game is in a spot where it is not enticing enough to spend money and the reward is too low to warrant watching Ads. I know that game developers need revenue, but you have to offer better value to the customer in this instance. And giving the folks forking out cash this heavy of an advantage just kind of ruins the previous skill or time needed to get the high scores in the previous version of the tournaments. ✓ Good game, but ads are way too longThe game is pretty good and the random matchup system works well to find similarly skilled players. But the ads after every single game are too much, and take too long. It takes less time to close and reopen the app than it does to get through an ad. Crazy. Team play is underwhelming, and both team games and events are designed to make you use coins for power ups. I don’t think a puzzle game like this should have power ups, but it’s a minor issue and not available in the regular matches, thankfully. Overall, solid game, best of the boggle-like games I’ve played, but the ads are the biggest problem. I know the devs need to make some money, but these ads just take way too long, some require multiple clicks, each with their own timers, to get past them. ADDED NOTE: Dev’s response to this review says that ads can be passed after 6 seconds, which would be reasonable, but is unfortunately not the truth. Most ads require you to wait roughly six seconds before the double arrows come up to pass it, but then an App Store page for the app being advertised comes up (which you must click “done” on), and then ANOTHER 6 second timer comes up to pass a third page, all for the same ad. Three separate clicks with their own timers for one ad is just ridiculous. Alternatively, I’ve been getting ads where there is a ten-second timer, which doesn’t start right away. Single player still is good but Mag you destroyed team play. So disappointed ... in team play I was a consistent leader on my team. We’re a high Silver, low Gold group. For the last three weeks The only games offered to me in team play are way beyond my level, even when we drop back to Silver. For the last 3 to 4 weeks I’ve been beat down and watched my chips fall by the way side. My skill hasn’t diminished ... and the level we’re in hasn’t changed ... but it sure seems like the ranking system has. The single player matches seemed unfettered, but team play now just seems to be a money grab ... it’s no longer “fun” .. which is why I played it. Now the only way for me to win is to use power ups (which I never use to need) which is just a constant drain on my chips and gold. I’m not the only one here, my other team members have noticed and commented on it. I understand the need for a company to make money ... but such an obvious “change” in the game is disheartening, and frustrating. ✓ Too Many Bugs & Glitches & Ways to get Ripped OffThe more recent updates to this game have ruined it. There are bugs and glitches constantly that make the user lose coins, coins that you must watch ads to earn and sometimes can earn a few by winning events/tournaments. Sometimes you watch the ads and you never get the coins. Sometimes you play Solo Events and are unable to claim your avatar at the end, and sometimes the game says the event ended (when it just started) and clears your progress so those coins you used to play each round were wasted. They make it difficult to earn coins, so when you spend them on games and/or boosters and your progresses is cleared because of a glitch/bug, it’s like you paid for something you never got. How fair is that? Imagine going to a store, giving them your money, and walking out empty handed. That’s what’s happening way too often to this once enjoyable game. And support seems to only acknowledge that you made a complaint and they ask for a screen shot. How a screen shot tells them that my progress was cleared is beyond me. They would need a screen shot of where I was at before it was cleared as well, and how would I have that?? They don’t reimburse lost coins and it takes an excessively long time until glitches/bugs are fixed. Used to be my favorite game. ✓ I hate the new tournament upgradeThere’s a few issues that bug me about this game… but I still play daily. I submitted a complaint a few weeks back and I never heard back. This new tournament feature that allows you to add 30 seconds for 100 Ruzzle gold is really dumb. Once time runs out the pop up immediately asks you if you want to add second or decline it is terrible! I’ve already wasted 300 coins because I’m in the middle of swiping a word and I accidentally swipe over the pop up and it takes my coins to add seconds even though I have a terrible score… I would have never paid coins to continue playing that round! Then another time I had a great score and I clicked to pay 100 gold… I would’ve won the weekly tournament but if froze once the time ran down to 1 second so I lost out on the 150 coins I paid for the bonus’s and the 100 coins I paid to add 30 seconds. 250 gold coins wasted on 1 level that crashed and there’s no way to contact in game customer support to report it! ✓ Addicting, yes, but Offensive tooI’ve managed to develop quite an addiction to Ruzzle over the last 6-7 years. A staple in my wind-down routine after work while I half-listen to the news or an episode of some show I don’t care much about, my family knows, unless it’s a true emergency, if they need something from me and I’m in the middle of a game, I will not respond until the game ends. Now to the offense and why I am writing this review. Ruzzle uses crass words that many may find offensive for a general audience. I have absolutely no problem with that. In fact, I find it amusing to see the occasional “C” word or “P” word or “D” word. However, use of the “N” word is beyond offensive. It is a racist slur that was used to refer to ALL people of African descent, as part of a widespread international system that justified dehumanizing, murdering and torturing people who were enslaved in the US. Of all the possible words available in the dictionary, to have this word as one of the acceptable words in one of the most popular word games of our time truly shows that there will always be some people who are incredibly accepting of devaluing human lives based on ignorant beliefs. Anything remotely clever, it doesn’t recognise! Also it’s scoring is very inconsistent and hard to reconcile! My only options were to replay the video ad or install the app. I didn't want to do either and when I returned to the game, of course I didn't get the promised free bonus. I tried again and got the same result. It wasn't that there was a hidden X somewhere. I reported this to the support team last week. While the response was pretty quick and they did give me coins to use for the one of the bonuses I didn't get by watching the ad, I'm extremely mad that this has happened twice since then. ✓ Hate the latest updateLoyal Ruzzle fan and daily player for a few years now. I purchased the ad free version a while back. The latest update is a huge bummer. You have to use chips to play all aspects of the game except regular challenges. This wouldn't be the worst problem, except that you're often waiting hours, if not days to play the next round in a challenge. So in between challenges I like to play the tournaments or team play. But you're dropping 10 chips for every game you play. And even if you win, you're not really even breaking even, forcing you to purchase more chips. Because I've already paid for the full version, this makes me feel like I got duped. I understand the developers need to make money (how else would we even have this app?), but the whole thing seems really unbalanced now. I play for fun and to get better and faster, however in the last couple of weeks I have been accused of cheating by 2 different players one of which was JNET2014 who was very rude and abusive. After playing only 1 round of one game she quit and sent me an abusive message. First of all I lose more games than I win so that cheating app I've been accused of using must not be very good 😜. What's the point in cheating? I don't understand. ✓ Not as enjoyable as beforeI came to Ruzzle on the recommendation of a reviewer for Word Crack (Mix 2) after that game drastically changed (for the worse). Once I got used to the differences, I found it to be a good substitute and a satisfactory way to scratch my word puzzle itch. But after the recent change, I find it just isn’t quite as good anymore. Previously, when you challenged a random opponent, you were able to play first and then wait for someone to join the game; now you have to wait for them to play first. And when you are playing a round, there is no longer a pause button, which is extremely inconvenient. Sometimes you need to step away for a moment—go to the bathroom, answer the phone, etc.—and being able to suspend the gameplay until you could return was nice. And somehow, I just don’t seem to do as well in terms of both the number of words I find and the total score I achieve as I used to, and I’m not sure why that is. I have severely curtailed my playing of this game, and I may end up nixing it right alongside Word Crack. ✓ A little disappointed.I love the game, and have been playing it since it started. About tw months ago it stop all me to play the game in the landscape mode on my iPad, which is very frustrating and inconvenient! I have reached out several times to the MAG developers, but all they have given me is a bunch of empty promises of fixing the problem. Till this day, no fixes have been made and I continue to play this game sideways, because my iPad is mounted on a stand, and I can’t just keep rotating it to play this game. What a huge disappointment!!! Hoping one day someone will actually listen to my complaint and fix this bug. Also, I would like to see different, and larger words to play. ✓ This game was fun at first, but not anymoreI played the crap out of this game for a few weeks. I won about 3 out of 5 games on average. It was really fun. Then I suddenly started losing 9 games out of 10 at my best effort, playing better than ever. Why would I want to keep playing a game that I suddenly start losing nearly every single time? I want to have fun, and this isn’t fun. You’ll never be able to convince me that this is just a "losing streak." It’s way too long of a streak to just be a coincidence. I’ll bet that I’d start winning again if I opened my wallet and bought some more chips/coins with real money, but I’m not a sucker. I know what you’re trying to do, Ruzzle, and your tricks aren’t going to work on me. Oh, and you’re NOT the "world’s fastest word game," as you falsely advertise. Word Blitz is much faster. ✓ Never purchase coinsTeam play is extremely buggy, as is using coins for anything, the final score doesn’t reflect the score you receive in game. You end up losing when you won. I contacted their support and that didn’t help, no credit of coins lost nothing. ✓ Pick up your game Ruzzle..!We are now forced to watch 30secs of ads between rounds, like it or lump it.. If we use the choice to receive Team Help, 20+secs extra or a triple word tile we are forced to watch a 30sec ad.. Took me 5 & 1/2 mind to play 1 round.. So which is it Ruzzle, 30sec ads for freebies or 30sec ads just because..? You can't have it both ways, if you're going to force us to watch full 30secs anyway then make ALL of the freebies FREE..! ✓ Great game, god awful appRuzzle is a great game. The only way it could be better is if a better company took it from Mag. The app is absolutely terrible. The game freezes and the app force quits; when swiping up it, it causes the phone to freeze for as long as 20 seconds (even after all other apps closed, clearing RAM and a hard phone reset); if you exit the app mid-game, the app resets when you go back, and all game progress is lost (this is new with the past update). The app clogs the CPUs performance so bad that even other apps run slow after swiping up from the bottom and switching (new bug as of the most recent update). Team play is absolutely terrible. If you bet max coins (100) and win, you get your original coins back but only 5 or 10 extra. If you lose, you lose 100 coins. Every opponents' accuracy and creativity is 95%; only the speed varies, and that is inaccurate. Total coins per opponent is out of whac too; I've lost to opponents with total coin payout of <200, but have handily won against opponents with a payout of 225, and all other stars were similar. If the app wants you to lose, you will lose regardless of how well you play. It seems as though the adds take a higher priority than actually fixing these bugs. It's been like this for years. ✓ What’s going on!!!!I’ve been playing for 6-7 years (perhaps longer) and It’s seems that you have changed the app to ensure that those that are slower are crucified to the point where it is no longer fun to play. Your algorithms don’t seem to “Match” players strengths and weaknesses. Those with slower speeds (like myself) cannot even come close to winning a game. 1 out of 20 games is not what you call fun. I used to be matched with those who have the same abilities and made it much more fun. You need to match speed with speed. Then again, I would even question that. I’ve played those that apparently have very slow speed and still get 70 words to my 20-25. How do they have a slower skill than I but get 3 times the words. That’s not slow to me. Look at your algorithms!!! Disappointing. Also - please please please get rid of the “Add extra time” pop up box that appears every single time a game ends in tournament play. ✓ Grampy007:Several things. You took over 5000 coins out of my account and you need to put them back in. Second, your system of calculating average score makes no sense. If I lose a game, you reduce my average by 30 points. If I win a game you increase my average 4 points. That means I have to win 8 games in a row to make up for one loss. This is a terrible system. Why would you do this? Third, i have been ranked a Master for years and you have now demoted me to beginner status. The title doesn’t really concern me but when I play others who are ranked beginners, they really don’t have a chance to win, and it could discourage them from playing. Fourth, it appears you still haven’t done anything about changing the algorithm for European vs. English speaking countries, especially Italian and French. ✓ Don’t update your game!If you haven’t updated in a while, don’t do it now. I’m very sorry I updated recently. It’s not fun anymore because you have to use tokens to play games where before you could just play endlessly for nothing. I assume once you run out of tokens you have to pay real money to get more. ✓ Ads galoreI have loved this game for a long time. But I’m frustrated that there are SO MANY ads in the game now, they are now inserted constantly while playing. It is testing the patience of people like me who enjoy this game! It used to be but they would just be in between games. Now they are in between every round of the game, they pop up every time you go to the next thing. Perhaps just a way to get people to spend the money to go ad-free. Hard to come to any other conclusion..... I just read a bunch of other reviews. There has been similar feedback. If anything, the ad issue has become worse! They are not only inserted in more places while playing the game, but they’re also harder to get out of, and often times you have to wait through two different timers to get out of the ad….. the main body of the ad, and then, when you exit out of that, there’s another timer that counts down another 10 seconds or more. I play a lot of games, and I’ve never come across a game that has so many ads. It takes all the fun out of playing a game, and I suppose that is the point… So that we will buy the ad free version. I suppose unless enough people complain, nothing will be done about it. It’s frustrating to read the developers response to peoples complaints they offer no solution, because they don’t want a solution or have a solution for you. ✓ MADEver since the new pop-up was added asking if we wanted to purchase additional time using 100 coins, I have gotten that extra time by “accident” four times. I say by “accident” because I ALWAYS hit the No Thanks button, and it is odd that somehow the four times I had enough coins to pay for extra time, my finger suddenly manages to choose that option instead of the No Thanks button. When I don’t have enough (which is the vast majority of the time), my finger always hits the No Thanks button as I intended. Hmmmm. Kinda curious. This is the first online review I have ever made. That’s how aggravated I am. This problem, along with the general degradation of the game due to it being harder to win (without using boosters) and having to watch 45 second ads in order to get enough coins to convert to chips just to be able to play, every day I think about stopping playing it altogether. It’s not worth the hassle. Speaking of ads, you would have to pay me a very generous amount of money to ever play Royal Match. In fact, I make it a point to never use/buy anything I have been compelled to watch an ad for, but the Royal Match ads are especially annoying and frequent. I have been playing for years and recently I mainly challenge random people... to me its such a shame that the system 4 out of 5 times finds you players with a level which is too low compared to yours.
