✓ My Expectations too hi from MechnerComing from Jordan mechner I was expecting so much more from the creator of the original prince of Persia. It's not a bad game but it needs an overhaul both for the mac and iOS. The clicking and the moving around is really clunky and unresponsive. And some interaction with characters don't really work properly. Overall a let down but maybe I was expecting too much ....Version: 1.12

✓ Great game, but needs to be updated for iOS 12I became absolutely hooked on this game. It has everything I love in a point-and-click adventure game: intriguing storyline, good character interaction, challenging (but not impossibly hard) puzzles, and phenomenal voice acting. The real-time storyline makes it even more interesting. I would give the game itself 5 stars...BUT about halfway through, there is a bug that makes it impossible to complete the game (concert scene never ends, just goes on for hours even though all tasks have been completed). I can only guess that this is a glitch with iOS 12, as the game was last updated for iOS 11. Contacted the developers, no reply...seriously disappointing to not even be able to finish the game after paying for it and investing so much time in it!.Version: 1.12
✓ Excellent story ruined by late fight sceneDeleted without finishing because of the fight scene on top of the train towards the end. Having attempted it countless times I gave up eventually. I really don't know what's expected. It seems unresponsive and impossible. Shame, as the rest of the game is very compelling..Version: 1.03
✓ Disappointed with controlsI've thoroughly enjoyed this game up until the final fight scene which is near impossible to complete. I don't know if it's a problem with the controls but like other reviewers I keep my fingers poised to react immediately when the arrows come up but I keep on dying. I've lost track of how many times I've tried now and am on the verge of deleting the whole game which is a shame as up until now I've found it very addictive and enjoyable..Version: 1.03

✓ EmbarassingI was looking forward to this but my experience was tainted by a large bug from the start. Parts of the menu after choosing an option went to one side and could not be accessed. After the game's intro everything goes to one side. Gutted, annoyed and should have been worked out before release. I forgive a lot of bugs on any new release but this was too large to simply wait on for an update..Version: 1.01
✓ Does not work on iPad OSThe game is fantastic, but there is a non-progression bug on iPad OS: there is a concert that never ends. Contacted developers, but no response. I subsequently tried the Steam version on Windows, and was able to complete the game, so the issue is not my game-play..Version: 1.12
✓ No AudioNo audio on iPad 2. Yes, my volume is up. And yes, audio works in other programs. I was hoping this update would fix it. Wish they'd at least have a closed captioning option. ✓ This is missing a crucial featureThis a word of advice to the developers. If you're strapped for cash and want to make a quick buck, here's a hot tip. Add subtitles to the game. I've been warned by friends who are either deaf or hearing impaired to not download The Last Express, as it is impossible to play without knowing what the characters are saying. It's a shame because this looks exactly like the kind of game I love. If this ever gets re-released with subtitles, you can bet that I and all of my deaf friends will come RUNNING..Version: 1.03

✓ Read before buyingFirst off when I bought the game it wouldn't download even though I had enough storage available. Should have headed this as a warning. But I was eager the see how the game was and didn't want to waste $5. So after freeing up additional space it finally decided to download. The storyline is quite interesting as mystery games like this are hard to find. However the controls are less than great at best and I found them very annoying at first. However the most upsetting fact about this game is how glitchy it is. I have made progress in the game and then found myself being set back at least twice (primarily during chapter 3). There is no notification and all progress is just randomly lost. Unless the developers can fix this I can only see this adaptation of the game as a disappointment..Version: 1.03
✓ Buggy animations on iPad 2I downloaded this game and before I made it through the first chapter realized that the animations were buggy. I do have sound but the animations track and leave blips of prior images behind. Personally there are too many good games out there to mess with bugs..Version: 1.03

✓ BuggedWhen it gets to the recital and you do everything it says to do the recital never ends and then you end up at the Vienna even though you have the briefcase for the German man… but the recital goes on and on and on until it’s over. Some scenes freeze and slow down..Version: 1.12

✓ Worst graphic adventure gameI have been playing graphic adventure games since 1989 (initially on my Amiga 500), so it's refreshing to see these games been brought back to life on iOS. This said, The Last Express is by far the worst in this category: terrible controls, super-low quality graphics (ever heard of remastering?) and somehow even requires a humongous amount of disk space (1.3GB). Buyers beware: play Monkey Island, Broken Sword, or even Simon the Sorcerer or Beneath a Steel Sky before remotely considering this game..Version: 1.03
✓ This really is a good game, but...This really is a good game, but it desperately needs updating. I originally purchased it in 2012 and it was flawless and beautiful and fun. I’ve offloaded and reloaded it over the years (it does take up quite a bit of space) and I decided to load it again for something fun to do (you know, Covid and all). I was so disappointed to find it doesn’t work with iOS 14. I didn’t bother to notice that the last update was 2 years ago. The biggest issue is there is no sound at all. This game relies on listening to the dialogue of the characters. Please please please update!.Version: 1.12
✓ Download impossibleAlthough there is enough space on my iPad (3GB) it is impossible to download the game. Every time I try I get the error message that there is not enough space. ✓ Train to glitch cityDotEmu needs to do some more quality assurance for this title. As other reviewers have stated, there are some awful glitches in the game. The game freezes and must be started over. But worst of all entire parts of the game are just missing and you can’t continue – you just wait idly for nothing to happen. Hints in the game do not work properly. They tell you to go to a cart to talk to people but there are not people in that cart and they never come. Deeply disappointing. Buyer beware..Version: 1.03

✓ Bad gameplayFor starters i'm a huge a.christie and those type of books and point&click adventure game fan, but this one let me down big time. i wasn't expecting much, but the graphics could definitely be better for a 2012 game. the gameplay is hard to control and even if you get used to it, it doesn't satisfy you at all, it is definitely a failure. other than these very bad gameplay and not even decent graphics, the story is nice and real time characters are a nice touch. but i'd say this isn't worth paying that much money, i only finished it cuz i paid it. i don't recommend this game at all for serious point&click adventure game players..Version: 1.03
