✓ Has potentialI'll start with the good. The graphics are good, the controls and weapons and upgrades are good. You switch weapons while they reload. You don't need to pay any money on in-app purchases and you'll get a good few hours entertainment. Now the bad points. The game crashes a lot on an iPhone 4s usually midway through every 2nd or 3rd level you play, which is frustrating as you lose all the current progress. The load times are ok on a 4s. I feel like with a few updates ironing out the bugs and a few minor improvements, the game will be really good. UPDATE: Still no update and the crashing every 2nd or 3rd go is really frustrating as all the progress is lost on the level you are playing. Please fix this soon. Thanks.Version: 1.1

✓ Slow loading, poor controlsGame could be really good, but is let down by slow loading screens which occur when you launch the program and then each time you fail on a level. The controls are also not easy to move quick enough to allow you to fight enemies, so you end up failing levels too easily. The amount of ammo you get is also too limited, requiring very long reload times, even if you opt to upgrade your weapons and reload speed. ✓ Slow and repetitive gallery shooterNot exactly a gallery shooter, but it sure as hell feels like one. The game's pacing is slow because the weapons are boring to use and enemies, equally unexciting to kill. Weapons shoot and kill enemies slowly, which makes the game feel more like an point-and-click puzzle game (with the objective to remove an object) than a fast-paced turret shooter like Beachhead back in the 2000s. Premium ammunition based weapons (ammo which you have to pay for with the game's currency, NOT IAP but still considerably expensive) do appear to add some variety into the shooting, but the lack of any sort of plausible scenario to make them useful diminishes the excitment of using such weapons. There are no swarms to blast away with the grenade launcher, no ultra distant target to activate the zoom function for, large enemies are downed by big weapons with no flair and using the mortar is often, far from being practical. Enemies generally advance slowly towards your dropship, so taking pot shots at them is hardly an engaging task, and their sloppy death animation (what animation!? They disappear into vapour on death!) can hardly warrant the Infrequent/Mild Realisitc Violence tag (it is not real, nor is it violent). This could've been a much better game, if it was able to better engage with the player by picking up the pace of the gameplay. As it stands, this is just a glorified graphics demo (with its art assets recycled for future games) than an enjoyable shooter..Version: 1.0

✓ Time to FIX this!!!!I have 39,000,000 points, so I have played this, a lot! With the last upgrade possibly iOS 6 , it crashes at the end of each mission, no more points. This would not be terminal, except, the upgrade locks me into the first level only until I save 5 humans, which it will not register because it crashes after each mission and does not register any more points. ✓ What a waste of a buckPros the graphics look good, its even pretty fun to play Cons: its unplayable. it constantly crashes (just wait until you hit a good crate), it fails to load all the time. After spending a couple hours playing this I got so fed up I felt the need to come and write a review, I had successfully unlocked many of the weapon upgrades. I went to launch the game but got a black screen instead of the normal launch screen. I restarted the phone only to find that the game had completely reset itself and lost all of my progress. At its current price of $.99 that may be enough gameplay for $1, however when the game's price rises to 2.99 I'd strongly suggest avoiding it. ✓ BoringPretty tasteless and boring. Typical alien doomsday environments, with irrelevant zombies. You're in a birds nest, technically, just turning around and shooting stuff. You only have two guns you keep for ever with infinite ammo, with reloads, and all other weapons you start with only little ammo, of which must be purchased at high prices with typical credits. Either way, each "unique" weapon is boring in it's own boring way. Load times are bothersome, even for loading menus, and low quality low polygonal models. A waste of a dollar, I regret it. Lame... Pointless, obviously attempt to make some sort of stupid MMO, like those storm8 idiots, with the factions. Except with a little actual gameplay. Wouldn't ever recommend until updated out of the stupid credit system, a bit more free roam, optimization for at least menu loads, better weapons that once unlocked, do not require more money to be spent on ammo. Go spend .99 on Modern Combat 3: it's on sale and heck, I've had loads more fun on that even though I bought at full price..Version: 1.0.1

✓ So far repetitive update, played over an hour REALLY repetitive !I keep playing level one over and over. Of course I gain money and can build up my weapons and get further each time, but it's pretty repetitive if designed this way. Hoping it gets better... But was only .99 cents. From the pics I thought it was a mech type game. But more like a tower.... You don't move other than panning around in your turret. Update, forced myself to play another hour hoping something would change. I do see a giant bug on occasion... But really sick of same thing over and over. Sniping is cool, but only one weapon can zoom. The mortar takes to long to hit a moving target.. It would be nice is maybe enemies grouped behind a car or place where you could actually hit them. Grenades? I have no idea how to use with any accuracy. A training level would be nice to explain things. I found some weapons were missing from a game because I didn't renew / buy more ammo for them. Enemies take same paths of the six options, you just keep running and blasting same thing, take same path. BORING! Reload of new game is way to long and the poster you have to look at each time is ugly... At least rotate through some nice screen shots like the main menu pic. Reload of weapons some commented is to slow... Yeah, but quickly updated. Doesn't bother me, I have decent reload speed now. But game reload is sloooooow. I have ipad3. Not worth more than 99 cents! ✓ It don't work............ on my iPad3. It doesn't load past the 'Crescent Games' screen, eventually it crashes and closes it self. However it works well on my 4S(so far but judging on other reviews will crash soon). It's 'console grade graphics' don't live up to the hype when you consider other games in the genre. So far the player seems to be bolted to one spot and shoots the incoming hoard of the hardly recognisable earth invading Xenos. The Xenos apparently infect humans (although I havent seen this in game) and they must also be killed too. This is supposed to be a story arc and I'm intrigued to learn about the human infecting foes, so will be looking forward to a major overhaul from Crescent Moon Games of this app and better QC from Apple to make this work on my ipad3.
