✓ A really nice simIt's a good game and if you love WWII pacific stuff it's great but if the history doesn't grab you then the gameplay may not be worth it. All the ship models are lovingly crafted and accurate and they sink and take on water in a nicely realistic manner. I'm a navy buff so that counts for a lot with me but gameplay wise there are some issues. The torpedo should not have a maximum range (or if it must then I should be told what that range is). Wind affects your aim but there is no way to see where or how strong the wind actually is. It would also be more fun if the turn limit could be extended and there should be a least a minimal reward for replaying a level even if you don't beet your previous score..Version: 1.0
✓ Fix for the dreaded home barThis is direct from Paul at killerfish game. As you can see, the directions are for the X, but, use your noggin, it works with newer iPhones!!! You can solve this issue by hiding the Home Bar: Go to Settings app, click General -> Accessibility -> switch on Guided Access. * Run an app of your iPhone X and press the Power button three times. * Click Start at the top right corner. * You’re asked to enter a password and verify the password. Remember the password you entered. * After that the Home Bar of your iPhone X has disappeared. * If you want to restore the Home Bar, just press the Power button three times again, click End at the top left corner, then the Home bar will show again. ✓ IPhone XR UNPLAYABLE BUGI had originally installed the game on an iPhone 7 and now I have an iPhone XR. When I try to make my ship turn or aim my WHOLE screen gets dragged off because of the no home button thing. Please put the turning and aiming thing higher for the iPhone XR,X,XS,XS MAX. Great game overall since 3 years ago until the XR version came now I can’t play it. :( :( I have noticed that player “G8peter” has this problem as well please fix it..Version: 2.11

✓ A truly EPIC game!This game is by far the best game/sim that I have ever played on my iPad. It is absolutely perfect. Well worth the money. I hope they keep updating and PLEASE don't update to the point that us iPad 1 users can play. Many great games update to a higher IOS, there is no need here, it plays amazing on the first ever iPad. The only thing I wish would change are that the subs have very very short travel during game play, but for the quality of this game I can live with that. Another great update would be able to play American and Japanese campaigns at the same time instead of loosing your current game in order to switch sides. I truly can't wait to see what may be coming next..Version: 2.10
✓ Island battlesAfter reading some reviews unhappy with the island battles I thought I'd toss my 2 cents worth in. I used to get frustrated also with island assaults. My new strategy is to bring my ships to full stop once they are in range of the island targets. Though stopped ships get hit more often by enemy aircraft. Once I am stopped and can adjust my gun range more accurately. Once you get one or two hits in on island targets they stop their attack. I can usually finish them off without taking too much damage on my ships..Version: 2.10

✓ Excellent game with more opportunity.Firstly, let me state that I have played this for over 3 years and it is absolutely magnificent. It has incredible graphics, historical ships, and detailed aircraft. However, I think that this game can have more to offer. One of the problems with this game is that it has a very limited ship variety. In another one of your games, Atlantic fleet, with its amazing ship diversity it allows for diverse gameplay. And I would like to see more ships in this game as well. For instance, a few suggestions for the U.S Pacific Fleet are the Yorktown Class, the New Orleans Class, the Arizona/Pennsylvania (as a tribute to Pearl Harbor) and/or, the Benson/Gleaves Class. And as for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), I would suggest if possible, the Hiryu, Fubuki, or the Kuma. So in conclusion, Pacific Fleet is an amazing game, but with more expansion, we could find ourselves playing a game much more diverse and interesting!.Version: 2.11

✓ Awsome game !Love this game its the best one I've played :) but i have some requests 1. More ships plz like uss Arizona and other famous ships and more enemy ships too. 2. ✓ See BelowSure it has problems, but most of those are avoidable (with island scenarios you can find out where you are supposed to be targeting, you can estimate gun elevation but seeing where your previous shots fell). It can get a bit repetitious and you ALWAYS go first, taking some of the fun out of it, so a difficulty setting would be nice. What I think makes this game so could is that it compares REALLY well to other warship games on the App Store. I've checked. This game offers one price with no in app purchases. And they're coming out with a sequel in the Atlantic which seeks to improve on the game! Cool stuff.Version: 2.10

Whenever I engage a battleship or two with a battleship and cruiser, the battleships engage the cruiser instead of the battleship which is a bit more of a threat than cruiser. ✓ I was enjoying it very much until.....I followed your advice and fir a beginner started on a lower level to accumulate points. I got a new shiny ship and had a lot of fun destroying cargo ships. Then this ship appeared that looked a bit different and it returned fire!! That's when the enjoyment stopped and the real fun began! ✓ World War 2 game Pacific Fleet .. Fun stuffI liked the previous version of the game but the recent update has turned it into a much more combat feeling type game with better dynamic control of the ships, allowing crossing the T and other realistic maneuvers, and more control hands on with the bombers .. The good graphics were improved and the game is basically brand new and a lot more fun.. The only things I would put on a wish list are wifi connectivity between players, more types of ships (yorktown carriers, kaga/Akagi, South Dakotas etc) upgrades for night bomber squadrons, some kind of consideration for combat air patrol (although I suppose a single plane making a run does simulate a flight going through CAP realistically) and more smoke billowing and trailing from the ships .. Maybe some kind of specks running around to simulate sailors on the ships ..? I think the developers should also make an Atlantic companion game to this .. Theres a great variety of ships, and the German lack of carriers could be balanced with land based Luftwaffe flights when practical .. It's a great game and hopefully the developers get rich enough to put this kind of cool mobile detail into some kind of MMO..?.Version: 2.0

For example the Yamato and Iowa class Battleships shoot only 3 shells, instead of 9. Also, the features, in Atlantic Fleet, such as Battle of The Atlantic would be awesome. ✓ Great! But.....Loads of entertainment sinking the Yamato and her escorts. But....there are some issues I believe need fixing. First, the ships are much too close to begin the battle. What is the point of having 16 inch guns and torpedo bombers if you can't use range to your advantage? Your carrier is doomed after one round against the Yamato unless you manage to disengage. The sub is terribly slow, even for a WW2 sub. I don't understand the long wait for torpedo reloads either. They should be reloading tubes as they are fired. Next; stop picking on my weakest ships. The entire enemy fleet ignores my battleship and constantly attacks the little guy. Island scenarios are frustrating. How about amphibious ships with marines landing on the beaches? All in all, a great game. Just needs some tweaks to be awesome..Version: 2.10
✓ Great game, but…While it is technically compatible with my iphone 12 mini, it is impossible to steer or aim as the location of the steering/aiming controls is right behind the spot you touch to dismiss an app. So every time I try to steer or aim, my phone tries to get me to leave the game. My only criticism is with the island scenarios. That portion needs a re-write. You can't see what you're doing because the radar doesn't function correctly. Also if there could be the chance to use different caliber weapons if a ship has them. More ships involved in the contact three is good but if there were more that would be even more enjoyable. ✓ Really fun but could be betterLots of fun and worth the purchase price. A couple tweaks would make it great, though. Aircraft carriers are the weak link. They're never out of range of the battleships and one hit will render them useless for the whole battle. Playing this game you'd think WW2 was won by battleships, which it obviously wasn't. I'd make every carrier turn include like 3 planes attacking at once and put enough distance between carriers and then enemy ships so only aircraft would be able to reach them until well into the battle. Also wish the computer opponent could be made harder as the computer is typically a pretty lousy shot and doesn't always employ smart strategy..Version: 2.10
✓ Simply greatIf you enjoy naval history or war games this game is a classic. The non-freemium model makes the game even better. It's so hard to find a WHOLE and COMPLETE game you can play solo offline, not get attacked by ads, and have access to the entire game content without a greedy developer asking you for $100 every week. ✓ I love this app, but....My son and I love this app, but perhaps there is room for improvement. First, I love watching the ships sink. I will linger over a sinking, until at least the flag is under water. In terms of adding realism, maybe you could add debris from the sunk ship to the graphics. Another thing that I like to do is ram one ship against a another. Think of it as a kamikaze destroyer, but when you do that, the scenario ends without you getting to see the sinking ships. ✓ Great graphics but dumb gameplayI love naval combat simulators - realistic ones. Firstly, the graphics and models in this game are excellent. Normally I don’t care so much for the graphics, but when you get a magazine explosion and watch the target shower flames, smoke, then slowly heel up, capsize, and slide under the waves, you can’t help but watch. The attention to detail on the models, the way they flood and sink, different every time, is great. Now the bad - the gameplay is easy, with no challenge at all. There are a few power ups and tactics which are unbeatable. Get radar, and you’ll almost never miss a shot. Hit the carriers first to put their flight deck out of action, and they’re defenceless. Combine those with the fact you have first shot, and there’s no question you’ll lose, it’s just how quickly you can win. From the screenshots, it looks like the naval sim of your dreams. But in fact it’s a turn-based, max 3 ships a side, with dumb AI. The gameplay is disappointing. But having said that, it’s a rewarding game to play, and easy to come back to. 4/5..Version: 2.11

Great mixture of having shorter battles as part of a longer campaign so when I have time I can play a number of battles and advance. ✓ LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ok, this is my second time I reviewed it first version 2.03 and now version 2.10 I cannot believe how much the game changed. I always look at the Facebook page ( the only reason l use Facebook ) and I at "started" it was planed as a tactical shooter and now a top-notch game. The explosions in versions below 2.0 had no sound, and always looked the same. Also you could only move 3 ways: move closer, move farther, or disengaged now you have 2 turns. One move and one to attack. Realism was a 7/10 but now it is a 9/10. Also I've heard there's gonna be a SEQUEL to PF. I've been going BONKERS waiting for the name of the game. PACIFIC FLEET II? MODERN FLEET? ATLANTIC FLEET? (British vs German and DO NOT make HMS Hood the battleship for the British because it had armor sides: MAX 12 inches and the deck only 2 inches in most places and 4 inches in very few places. Compared to the Bismarck which had side armor 12.6 inches and deck armor of 6.7 inches and it took 1 hr and 30 min to sink it. HMS Hood sunk only 6 min into the same battle the Bismarck was in so PLEASE put either HMS Prince of Wales or HMS Warspite Instead. PLEASE) but any way I love this game because of its realistic graphics and that it could be played almost anywhere (in the train, in the car, or even in the plane) this game is gonna be a mainstay on my iPad. ✓ Pacific fleetGreat game. Great physics. It's not one of those games that are for people who don't now the navy. You can have escorts which really did happen in WW2. I love the bouyance effect. My only wishes are that you can name your ships. Have multiple of the same ship. I would also like to have more than just three ships, maybe like 7 or 8 per battle. I forgot to add one more thing. It's not perfect however as I found the island mission to be a little dull and very hard to target the buildings. Naval battles always had my attention when documentaries had them as subjects. I also adore the fact that you used the main ship that the class of ships is named after (Ex: U.S.S. Iowa, Iowa-class battleship.) However, I wish there was just one more battleship for the Americans. Japan has two. I would love to see the Pennsylvania class battleship. Which the Arizona and Nevada were apart of, but the 1939 Refit of these battleships, with the Tripod Masts. If this game had that ship. I would buy it again. ✓ Great FunMy Dad was a history teacher and I grew up with access to lots of books about WWII and I was particularly drawn to the WWII Pacific Theater and it's Naval Battles. The developer of this game has done a fantastic job, great graphics and gameplay that captures the strategy and tactics of Naval warfare. I could hardly put it down after I started. I hope they continue to develop the platform with more ships, and campaigns. An Atlantic theater version would be great too!.Version: 2.10

Not sure why so many people are complaining about the island battles. They're really not that difficult... come to a complete stop asap to get range for your guns. ✓ Effects, sound and visual impressiveZoomed out this simulation looks very real. It takes a while to experiment with the upgrades on "custom single battles" to get a mix that makes the AI a challenge (not too weak, not too strong) but after a short while the results are impressive. I have had some really challenging engagements, even against enemy submarines which is the one weakness in the simulation imo. Depending on the upgrades, subs are either too weak, or way to deadly, hard to play either with them, or against them. Thankyou to the developers - a very entertaining game. I have tried Atlantic Fleet as well, which has many better features, but strangely, for a reason I cannot explain, I prefer this game. 5 stars....Version: 2.11

✓ Utterly amazing, but it needs...This game is incredible. I love it, and am very happy that I got it back when it was only 2 bucks (though its worth 10). However, I believe it should have... 1. More ships per nation 2. More ships per side in battle 3. Online multiplayer 4. Storms 5. Great Britain/Germany campaign and ships (though the name would probably have to be changed from pacific fleet to something like war fleet or war at sea) 6. Most wanted of all... SHIPS BREAKING!! For example, say a battleship is hit with a shell or bomb. Little chunks of hull and superstructure should be blasted away. Or a cruiser has its magazine detonated. Tthe cruiser should break in two at the explosion point and sink in two pieces..Version: 2.10

✓ OutstandingThis may be the first review of an app I've ever written...Pacific Fleet is so good that I feel it's my duty to spread the word. As others have said, the graphics, realism and attention to detail are terrific. And the variety of scenarios, vessels and escorts is great. One thing I want to make clear: the island battles are really not all that difficult once you figure out how to effectively bring naval gunfire (or close air support) to land-based enemy targets. Yes, the island battles are a bit non-intuitive and there is a learning curve, but that's part of the fun of the game. I'm not a gamer by any means but once I got the hang of the island battles, they're actually quite easy. Also I recommend going through each of the 40+ scenarios JUST with the submarine, then go back and add additional escorts and try the battles again (or simply start a new game). This way you will develop an excellent understanding of enemy tactics... and using just the sub is arguably the most challenging way to play the game. Lastly, there are a few useful player guides out there, just do a search..Version: 2.10
✓ Excellent, but...Yes, this is a verry realistic game that leaves you hanging off the edge of your seat. Physics are realistic and leave me in awe. But, even with 45 levels, I seemed to power through them with 3 stars first time, every time. Once you complete all the levels it gets boring. Hoping that the next update includes single player random match against the computer and an online multiplayer. Fingers crossed! P.S. Thanks for the most realistic naval game I've ever found on IOS! ✓ Play as a WWII AdmiralThis is a brilliant game. You can play either a Japanese or US commander in the Pacific sea battles of WWII. Command submarines, aircraft carriers, destroyers, cruisers and the biggest battleships. There are 45 levels, and you go through the levels as either American or Japanese forces. There are three levels of difficulty. You can use Renown Points accumulated from each mission to buy upgrades for your ships and also newer larger ships. There are no extras to pay for, so when you buy the game there are no hidden costs. I would highly recommend. Ideas...sonar for hunting submarines, use of smoke to obscure ships, scout planes would be a gd idea, ranges of visibility - effected by the weather- night changing to day so aircraft carrier use can kick in....Version: 2.10
✓ Not “stellar”, not a “simulator”, Islands are SIMPLEThe island bombardment missions are simple. The radar even picks up a few of the target ranges sometimes, but for the rest, you simply click on the island and it highlights the targets visually. Fire bracketing shots, observe your distances and adjust your range. There are no damage meters because one direct hit destroys any target - but some are heavily armored bunkers so you must use AP rounds for those. Simple, and far from some “major flaw” unless you’re a bit slow. The game itself is just a shooting gallery though, missing ALL of the history and mission aspects of Atlantic Fleet. A couple of things that could be better, I found that it's not making any sound, you could add more ships, and ships from other countries, and you could choose what country you want to play as (Australia). The ships that have multiple cannons/gun with 3 barrels, only are firing 1 shell, they should be firing 3 shells. I'm in the ANC (Australian Navy Cadets) and I love this game, it's pretty realistic, defiantly with getting it..Version: 2.03

✓ I was enjoying the game until this.....I like the game and I got IJN shokaku. I had a lot of fun destroying other ships like cruises and destroyers. Until another aircraft carrier appeared. Then here’s when both aircraft carriers started fighting by airforce.Version: 2.11

I also highly recommend as there are no overly priced in app purchases, a refreshing change from all these freemium titles plaguing the App Store. In game 'points' are fair, reasonable and awarded on performance in mission. Already have recommended to 2 friends who also play constantly. Look forward to completing and getting Atlantic Fleet!
