✓ Crashes solved, superb game.....Ok, so after contacting the dev re. My ipad2 crashes, he explained that I needed to go into ipad Settings menu, select the game & change the Retina setting (not applicable to my model) and reduce bit depth from 32 to 16 to avoid maxing out on memory. I wish these options were in-game or explained in-game, as the default settings after installation appear to have been causing the constant crashing I was getting - fingers crossed, it all seems fine now and of course the game is superb. Will update if I get more problems but for now very pleased with the game and especially the support..Version: 1.4
✓ Sublime and refined gameplay marinated with excellent graphics, art direction and sound design.Subatomic nails it again. As the title suggests, the game is so polished and fun that I've lost countless hours to it. The game is slightly buggy and when I contacted support, they got back to me the next day with a suggested fix. An aspect I am missing from the previous game is the multiplayer component since it actually worked extraordinarily well! ✓ Good sequel to a good gameIf you liked Fieldrunners, you'll like this one. Gameplay-wise, they are very similar, but Fieldrunners 2 gets an over world map with some very slight resemblance of a story to it. I like how you can unlock various towers (without in-app purchasing - they are unlocked by earning in-game currency) - some which only appeared briefly in Fieldrunners. You can pick which towers to use in each map, and also some bonus power items. Maps are more thought out, and it can be satisfying crafting a winding maze more effectively than a previous attempt too. Now for the bad - the loading times. It also seems the developers were aware of this before release - a few loading screen messages joke about the loading times ("Tap impatiently to load the game faster", "Note - tapping the screen won't actually effect loading time" etc). It appears they are working on it though, going by in-game news items. Only other gripe is the unit cards detailing the different types of Fieldrunners - it is very awkward to navigate. Very minor fault though. Overall, very well worth the price..Version: 1.0
✓ Achievements not appearing in Game Center!This is a great little Tower Defence game. Nicely presented, neat crisp graphics. Good gameplay, although it can be quite tricky, but that's no bad thing, wouldn't want it too simple! 1st Update:- I soon bought the full game and it's worth the price. However, none of my Achievements are appearing in Game Center which is a shame. I hope this will get fixed, and then I'll pop the 5th star rating on :-) 2nd Update:- Game Center is still not showing any of my scores or achievements for this game Reduced to one star until this gets addressed! ✓ Great but fix crashesI'm addicted to this game but it always crashes when I restart or replay a game. Given the very long start up time this is a constant daily disappointment. ✓ AwesomenessFieldrunners 2 is one hell of a tower defense game. Upgrade able towers, crossed with a mix of enemy units and varying open and trench maps leads to some pretty intense gameplay. Throw in the more mind taxing mini games that are unlocked as you proceed, and change the settings to an even harder difficulty and you'll be using your in game coins to purchase extra special weapons like Omega 13 and Mine to aid you in your quest against the tyranny of the Fieldrunners! The cost is actually low, this will provide many, many hours of fun. It's a joy to play. The artwork is amazing. Try going to the cinema instead for the same price... No crashes on iPad 2, slick and solid play. Worth waiting for, it's a class act and I would like to throw in a criticism for balance - but I haven't had time to find one yet. ✓ Best tower defence game out thereBrilliant game, challenging with tones of hours of gameplay. Best tower defence game out there at the moment. The graphics are top notch, which explains the time it takes to load, it does take about a min to load to load screen and another 30-40 seconds for each level but believe me it's worth it. It's not a pick up and play for a min game as the load time is large and if you switch apps you will have to load again (but it does save all progress) so its best if you have the 5-20mins all in one go to complete a level. Anyway if you lover tower defence this is a must otherwise you are missing out. Although down side is now all other TD's feel boring, lame and crap..Version: 1.2

✓ It's good but...The graphics overall and sounds are very good. The game itself is also good; and different enough from the first edition. The loading times are also fine (20sec). But...a little disappointed with some of the features. For me at least, in the early levels the screen is occupied by too many unnecessary artistic buildings and stuff which means you loose so much potential game space. The towers also feel too big, again taking up way too much space making it feel clumsy, I keep wanting to zoom out. For some reason the second edition has taken away ability to submit local names for scores. Still crashes during mid level, and why do developers insist on including annoying messages and icons that try to force people tweet and FB to earn coins ... Graphics are amazing on the retina iPad, I personally, have had no trouble with it on my iPad. It is an unbelievably addictive game, you can spend hours on it and not even realise. I have never bought any in app purchases, if you set 'home on derange' up correctly, you can leave it overnight and it will generate coins for you, no problem at all. I love this game, wish there were more tower defence games like this!! Some new content would also be nice, so new big maps and towers and enemies would be very nice. Though I'd really love to see a third iteration in their Fieldrunners TD lineup, I'm still enjoying this game. It plays great on my iPad Air/10.3.1, but for some reason, the update that brought 64-bit with it has removed the last 3 maps that were added to the game (Twist of Time, Cardio Training, and End of Time).
