Beautiful sound ...with annoying advert pop upsTo me the pianos sound much richer than Garage Band. It works flawlessly with iRig keys and makes the whole set up, probably the smallest, most portable mini 'pianos' around. The thing I hate about this app, is... you've bought it, you've also paid a LOT for the expansion pack, you've maybe even bought the iRig keys mini keyboard to go with it ...yet EVERY time you launch the app, you are subjected to three pop up adverts, reminding you to buy more stuff from them! This is extremely annoying for a paid app, especially as some of these things you have already bought anyway. There is no way to turn of these ads..Version: 1.1

Can Run Midi Files through it!!You can run midi files through it using an app such as Synthesia in the background!!! You have to know what you're doing though but it works!!!.Version: 1.0.1

Wish list item...Current full version as of now is running beautifully with my MIDI keyboard. Top quality sounds... as I expected. Please, PLEASE give us the ability to export MIDI files too, not just audio. Very small thing but it does eat me up just a little that after paying $20 for the app AND $10 for the extra pianos... my icon still says "free", AND, I'm still bugged with an advertisement message when I start the app. Those that are complaining about "bad" sound, I totally disagree. Check your earphones, your cables, the MIDI device you're using... These really are very good sounding pianos, especially for the relatively small size of the app..Version: 1.0.1

Fantastic(I'd like to review the full version which I bought in-app from the free version but iTunes says I don't own it - a bit silly Apple! ) This is an extremely playable instrument especially when hooked up to a midi keyboard via the rock solid irig midi interface device. It excels at soft piano pieces, and the stand out feature for me is the beautiful stereo separation, which really engrossed. I started playing new riffs the moment I touched it, which is the defining essence of money well spent for me. I love the baby grand in the expansion pack, and the deliberately bad saloon piano. I think if you were being really fussy you'd say that multi- GB pianos on computers are better, but honestly I had more fun with the immediacy of this app - switching almost instantly between pianos to try out variations is a revelation, and it's very easy to tweak to near perfection. The rich upright lived up to its name. Once I got background drums going from another app (funk box) I forgot any slight doubts about the raw rock piano sound - it sits perfectly in the mix. This is far and away the best sound I've got out of an IPad, and it's extraordinary value for money. Get it, or throw the iPad in the bin in my humble opinion..Version: 1.0

For what I do...I'll give this 5 stars. The intricacies of sampled piano sounds are enormous and not easily attained. I believe this is the best iOS true piano app out there. I use it live and have no complaints..Version: 1.2.4

Amazing!Hello, I’m a user of iGrand Piano! This game is amazing in so many ways! I was able to learn Beethoven and P!nk songs with this app, and it’s been a great experience! The only problem I have is that it hasn’t been updated in… 7 yrs?! That’s my only problem, it could use some refurbishment, but other then that, it’s a 10/10 for me!.Version: 1.2.4

Nice app!Excellent app for working out tunes and a little practicing on the go :).Version: 1.1.1

Love it!For amateurs who do not own a piano, it's great!.Version: 1.1.1

The best soundingThe best sounding piano app I've heard, one of the best sounding piano soft instruments I've heard generally. The sound really is good enough to use in recordings and on stage. Make sure you register to get the jazz upright..Version: 1.1.1

Very impressedMust say after play the sample for a few hours tonight. Think it is to my ears is the best piano on IOS. You tube has a couple really nice clips of the diff sound sample. Myself em real happy with the sample right now till I decided..Version: 1.2.4

Why is there static?I purchased iRig Keys (midi keyboard) and got this app included - a very good deal! Overall, I am impressed, but when first experimenting with this, I got a lot of static playing over a BlueTooth speaker (Jawbone Jambox - great quality sound). I *finally* solved this by discovering a setting - go to Menu, Settings, then scroll way down to "Dock Compatibility Mode." It was set to "A" so I switched it to "B" and, voila (!), no more static. How would I have known to go there? Just frustration and experimentation. I didn't believe IKM would put out a bad piece of software. Anyway, problem solved. So five stars now..Version: 1.0.1

Excellent, fun appEasy to use, good sound, helpful in learning some piano..Version: 1.1

Great app. Worth it!I no longer have a physical piano or keyboard. However, with this app, I have lost nothing, but even gained more music practice at my own convenience. I am sure I’ll achieve my goal of sight reading with this app. I love it. 👍🏾.Version: 1.2.4

Amazing and wishing for a Christmas discount for the full versionI used it with my iPad and the sound quality is fantastic, I just wished there would be a Christmas discount soon. Plus there are some audio issue when playing for a long time..Version: 1.2.4

Great app, awesome stage tool.I no longer worry about taking my keyboard around or worrying about the quality of the keyboard i am going to play on at a venue, I just bring this, ipad connection kit and usb hub and cable. Great samples, big sound. And honestly, regardless of how much of a tone snob you are, in the mix of a band it sounds like the real pianos. One word of warning however, the audio will sound cleaner coming out of something like a focusrite itrack dock or the Alexis io dock than just out of the headphone jack. But that's to be expected as I'm sure the headphone output is compressed and eq'd for actual headphones So if your looking for a stage setup invest in a dock with dedicated outs. And only one small gripes out the actual app, I paid for the app and all the extra sounds bundle through the free app. Now my icon still says free version on it even though I paid for the whole thing. If you guys could fix that that would be awesome..Version: 1.1.1

MsGreat app. Lots of fun learning ...with help from tube.Version: 1.1.1

GreatI love this little piano app great fun and serious all the family can have a bit of fun with it,.Version: 1.0.1

I grandTres bonne app. je vais la prendre complete bientot bazou72.Version: 1.1.1

Quality and BeyondLook, do you want to take a whole bunch of pianos with you for the appropriate occasion? Just get this then and you'll be in piano heaven. Ipad + 88 keys hammer action and I'm off to my gigs. They sound better than most pianos I've heard and I'm a sucker for great sounding pianos. Steinways and Yamahas, can't go wrong at all. Happy playing..Version: 1.1.1

From Beast to BeautyIK has taken its sweet time, but in doing so has turned my original 1-star review, grousing about annoying ads and discounts that didn’t appear, to this 5-star, google-eyed encomium to my favorite iPad music app of all. Now with the most recent update, not only have they brought iGrand into the iOS8 world with IAA and Audiobus functionality, but have added a new IAP for piano/strings, harpsichords, layered piano sounds and more. Beautiful. I don’t think there’s another app of any kind that makes me as happy as when I sit down to play this thing. As a bonus, one of their booboos in the past was that the apps are not universal. Well, after (a) making the in-app purchase on my iPad and (b) registering my iRig MIDI on the iPhone, I discovered to my delight that ALL of the instruments are now included there. Yes, I still have the “Free” emblazoned on my full-price purchase (I upgraded from the Free to the Full Version, to use their uppercase. But to complain about that bit of housekeeping would be churlish and ungrateful. Bravo, IK Multimedia, for ascending to the throne of my iOS world..Version: 1.2

1of4k1ndThe best ... I tried them all..Version: 1.1.1

Very Good PianoI reviewed this piano app a few weeks ago ... Sounded great but it crashed. The bug is now fixed!!! Thanks guys! The fix too a few days and now this is one of my go - to apps for straight piano sounds. As with all iRig equipment I have used, I have suddenly found iGrand piano necessary for teaching,at home experiments and now, possibly gigging. Thanks again for the app ....Version: 1.0.1

Superb piano sound qualityI have played real pianos and many sampled ones and this nice little piano app has one of the best piano sounds I have ever heard (and I've heard a lot of them believe me...). It might not have fancy features but it provides a variety of piano sounds, all very accurate and realistic (I love the upright pianos). The best piano app around imho..Version: 1.1

Bought full app and all content and app still says IGrand Free! The same thing happened with Sampletank Free iOS app several years ago. How do we fix this cosmetic issue? Have spent £14.99 + £7.99 + £7.99 and the condition makes me look like a cheapskate! This is by no means a showstopper merely annoying having spent so much on an app!.Version: 1.2.4

Mixed feelingsA good set if pianos that sound usable enough... But, I'm deeply let down. As, I upgraded the free version. Paid in full! But, I still get annoying, nagging adverts, asking me to buy IK products that I have no use for! What a poor way to advertise and to treat customers who paid for the upgrade! Wake up IK. You don't make friends like this..Version: 1.1.1

Works Well,Sounds Good!I downloaded the free one at first and was pleased with the sound quality, I then purchased the full version and I am a tad disappointed, the app icon remains with 'free' written on it, you get a few more piano sounds and the full 88 keys but still get annoying popup adverts which normally cease with full versions, all in all a great app but think whether you really need the full version before downloading..Version: 1.1.1

Update - thanks for audiobus support under iOS8Was overjoyed to see the update, thanks, very good, bought the extra sounds. Don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about, this works ALMOST perfectly with my standard Alesis ioDock and standard midi keyboard. However, try holding sustain pedal and playing lots of notes - goes into heavy distortion... Great if you don't do that though. 5 stars when fixed.....Version: 1.2

Meh; everything or nothingI'd happily pay a fair price to unlock a wider range of octaves, but it seems a bit much paying for the full lot for just for the one additional feature I am after, which is additional octaves..Version: 1.0.1

Every thing works okay now.Thanks..Version: 1.2.4

Was the first......and was very good back in 2013. The new kids in town outshine it today with more dynamics. Still usable though, and sometimes fits just right in a dense mix..Version: 1.2.4

UThis game is cool.Version: 1.2.4

The good and the badGood: • I haven't experienced any crashes iOS 6, iPad 4th Generation • Sounds good • Turn on background mode and I can use it with Synthesia and both apps respond to my midi keyboard, I just turn off the poor built-in sounds in Synthesia, midi is just so Synthesia can give feedback on performance. • Metronome is nice • Being able to make recordings Bad: • Using an external USB soundcard I get a lot of noise, other apps don't do this. The solution is to use the headphone socket which sounds very clean so it's not a problem. For free this is pretty good and if they fix the usb audio issues I might buy the full version. p.s. include some short samples of how the other pianos sound..Version: 1.0.1

Decent PianoGrand sounds good. Not so keen on the uprights. Useful tool..Version: 1.2.4

The bestThis is the app I've been waiting for. A very good sound and you can add custom Continuous Controller information. It's ideal for setting up with my iRig midi and for gigging with. Recommended :).Version: 1.0.1

Even the free version is greatGood stuff..Version: 1.1.1

Good piano soundReally like this piano. Don’t bother with the IRig Pro keyboard they are plugging though - it has a rubbish velocity response and isn’t playable with any feeling - a waste of time and not real cheap..Version: 1.2.4
