✓ FrustratingPlease note I don’t mean to Sound harsh but I don’t only play this game I also spend real life cash on it This game needs work there is numerous times i wonder if I’m even making any progress majority of the movies or series agents book don’t do well and that affects your Stats Your other games are great but this one I wonder if you guys are trying to move in another direction to make your games more challenging if so please don’t I know A list actors are suppose to make the big bucks But What the B listing Actors are getting is ridiculous I think this games has potential and I really enjoy your other games please I purchased energy in this game and still can’t get by I think there obviously problem here.Version: 1.0.8
✓ Some things need helpThis game is really a great game, I’ve played most of y’all’s games and most of them are great. But this one does need some help if i’m honest. First i wish there was a way we could buy out or start up our own production company or we could make our own movies, kind of like Music Star. Also the energy system needs to be fixed or something like it shouldn’t take 25 energy just to apply for a movie because if i have say 22 or 24 energy u can’t do a movie or anything without having to buy a car or something. Also i don’t know if it’s just because i’m not a big enough actor or something but i’m a D list actor i have $222k and 12k followers and most of my traits are pretty high and i’m applying for TV episodes and stuff and i’m getting booked and released but i wait a year and i can’t get syndication. It’s really annoying and i’m super anxious to see what a syndication is but i can’t because i can’t get syndications. Lastly we should be able to sign like a contract or something where we get to act in the entire series without auditioning for every single episode. Please fix and look at adding these things i would greatly appreciate it and i think some other people would too..Version: 1.0.7

✓ Opaque GameplayBeen playing a few days gameplay is overall fun, but: 1. The energy system is deeply flawed (Why does it start decreasing after the first year? Why do things cost so much?); 2. The relationship between Traits, Show Reel, Rating, and Performance scores is very opaque, which makes optimizing gameplay strategy impossible 3. Actually getting roles is borderline impossible even with very high talent scores, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how roles are obtained 4. The Jobs system is really weird (why do you have to look for a new day job every few weeks?) 5. The function of the gameplay mechanics are extremely opaque and unbalanced due to the lack of any tutorial whatsoever, with no way to tell what’s relevant to what. All of this results in a slow, painful gameplay experience that seems more about chance than any strategy..Version: 1.0.18

✓ Worse Version of Music StarI thought this would be a better experience than Music Star, but I was mistaken. I assumed it would include many of the same features with added ones as well. However after pouring a few hours into the game it has the same features as Music Star during it’s original release. It’s bland and does little to separate itself from its predecessor. ✓ Nice concept, but the benefits aren’t worth the effortThe title says it all. The concept is nice, but there’s so much grind for very little rewards. It takes FOREVER to level up, and even when you’re experienced in every possible aspect, you still get ghosted or rejected from auditions and are struggling to book roles. I’ve tried and retried at least a dozen times, and every single time it takes YEARS to even get somewhat decent roles in commercials/short films. I’ll give credit for realism, since breaking into the entertainment industry is incredibly difficult, but this is a simulation game that’s meant to be fun, and at some point I’d like to feel rewarded for all the time I’ve spent. The overall outcome just isn’t very satisfying, especially when I examine all the effort I’ve invested. I don’t feel like I’m “winning”—I feel like I’m chipping away at a brick wall..Version: 1.0.16

✓ Has potential but it dragsThere’s little to no reward or progression, the actual premise is amazing but you get rejected for most roles, your energy nearly always goes down and your outgoings are never enough to support your income. The whole point of a fun game is to feel progression or some type of reward. I would enjoy it so much more if I felt like I was getting somewhere rather than just struggling for weeks playing the thing with little to no success. E.g I’ve submitted for over 700 roles, auditioned for around 100 and only released 23 projects which is really small payoff for a lot of time put in. If the game was less difficult I would keep playing but might give it a rest for a while cause I’m going insane..Version: 1.0.18

✓ Do Not Waste Your TimeI want to be accurate and say that I spent 3 hours trying to get above a D+ celebrity. The game mechanics are HORRIBLE. Even if you spend hours, and I mean hours training and gaining experience, the game for some reason doesn't let you develop/practice your audition very much which causes you to lose the role. Even when you do finally land a part, the reviews somehow always turn out terrible and If you land a tv show its canceled after one season. Its frustrating because you think your not trying hard enough but it turns out the problem isn't with the player, its with the game..Version: 1.0.21
✓ There’s something here, but I have no idea how to get to itThis game looks interesting, but it needs a guide. I was 7 weeks in before I realised that you could get (needed) a part-time job. I’m now 40 weeks in and I haven’t been able to get even an unpaid extra or stand-in role. If there was a tutorial or some sort of transparency to what the numbers in the algorithm mean, this might be a pretty good game. As there isn’t, just move on..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Has potentialOverall it’s a a somewhat enjoyable game with a lot of potential. However, it’s so difficult to get good roles. Out of like 500 submissions early in a playthrough, I was ghosted by most, maybe got 60-70 auditions and only a handful of roles that were all terrible and most of those were stand-ins or doubles with maybe a couple support roles thrown in. Like at that point it’s not even fun anymore. Also please have more variation in film titles because I’m tired of getting the same movies over and over again. ✓ Please read thisThis game is not fully ready yet. There needs to be options to spend more on expenses to boost something. Auditions for big roles are like impossible I’ve paid money to get my talent all the way up and if my agent doesn’t have it booked no matter if I have a 100 audition rating and my showreel is 90 it still won’t give me the role not EVEN ONCE. Another thing with that like I said my talent is all the way up and no matter what my performance on a movie is 50 to 65 I have BARELY had a GREEN performance It’s ridiculous. I gave it a three star because compared to music star this isn’t good. This need to be fixed up. It would be nice to see more of real movies to play parts in. But overall I see the potential just clean it up and it really hard to upgrade energy try to make way to do that u had a relationship on music star that would be nice on here to and to have kids to keep going. ✓ Needs workThe level of advancement is so slow it’s very tedious and boring. I have max stats, hundreds of well-reviewed, principal, union roles and I’m still not close to A-list. 2 factors of moving up the popularity list are fans/followers and philanthropy but the opportunities are faaaaar and few in between. It’s annoying that once your a union member that non-union roles still take up space in the casting area, especially since it costs energy to even look at possible auditions and having to exit and re-enter the tab. There should be a filter option for that if it’s not being done automatically. A bunch potential for the game but its also holding itself back. Edit: there’s a bug removing my highest rated roles from my showreel and I’m not receiving money for screenplays that’ve been sold. Several million$ worth….Version: 1.0.18
✓ Good but needs work.The game is actually very enjoyable and it works really well but to progress is incredibly slow especially money wise, you make money so slowly it’s stupid and just makes the game boring after a while and once I did manage to make 5 million I only got shot down as to make a show or movie it then costs an extra million on top of that and if you want your movies and shows to be good you also need to invest into your studio anyways it’s physically impossible to do. There needs to be a complete rework of the money in game as right now it’s so hard and the audition process isn’t even based on the score it’s based on luck, my score has been over 100 but I’ve still not gotten the show and that doesn’t seem right at all, and as for money I should be getting offered at least 10k minimum for every movie and show, 1-2k for an actor who’s featured in over 60 movies is far too less, the money system itself just needs reworked entirely and needs to be changed vastly..Version: 1.0.21
✓ Has potentialListen, I like this game. But I started over because I thought I had worked out how to improve my talents only to find that j was entirely wrong. The exponential increase to spending energy on talents, the energy cost of jobs, applying for auditions, and expending energy on improving your auditions/bookings only for it to make absolutely no difference in the end, and how frequently your energy decreases when you only start with a max of 100 in the first place, are frustrating. Oftentimes I’d find myself doing everything I could think of to increase my different talent scores only to see they haven’t budged, or there is at least no indication that they have budged. The tooltips and help aren’t very clear. I think it would greatly benefit this game if there were some tweaks to energy gained versus expended, max energy, and maybe making acting classes and auditioning/booking roles visibly improve talent scores instead of just experience. I wouldn’t mind an occasional option to watch an ad to boost something if I’m running out of time to boost performance on an audition or something, even..Version: 1.0.12

The I’m built food/health energy increases are insufficient to offset your gradual decline, presumably with the aim of making you pay for a permanent energy increase but there’s no enough re-playability at present to warrant in-app purchases. It has a solid foundation but instead of adding more content to the game as it is, I would focus on tweaking the gameplay to allow for a better experience. The first thing that should be looked at is the scaling factor you have. Why do year check ups scale? Let alone the RnG of losing energy, but on top of that you have it scaled in price? 0 sense. Then there is landing a role, I get it you want the game to feel challenging but focus on the difference between “challenging” and “unfair”. The game is unfair, as it is right now. It doesn’t make sense that I spend 10 years refining skills, taking classes to earn experience, and have small roles only to be hit with the same level of difficulty of landing roles. There is no real sense of progression, and if it does exist it doesn’t feel fairly achievable. These are my 2 cents..Version: 1.0.21

✓ Energy loss and startingI love this game a lot and played other ones from the developers but the main issue with this one is the energy loss as you age and from stalkers… it takes years in game to level up your skills and each year you lose energy by 1 and then it’s hard being able to get roles and afford security and at one point my energy was down to 46.. maybe cheaper security? or no energy loss with age? i can’t even max out my last skill because it’s 112 energy and my max is 87…. update: after restarting im still losing a lot of energy and my max is back down to 90 this is bad because i have to emprove my roles before shootings and this takes WEEKS to complete them and the endorsements take so much energy it’s so hard to do things.Version: 1.0.21

✓ It’s good BUT…..It’s a fun game but still needs a lot of work. Difficulty level is a bit high because my performance never goes above 65 and it’s a pain to upgrade my voice. I think after releasing a box office hit, multiple people in the business should recommend you to projects. I’d like to produce movies but it’s difficult for me to make that much money. ✓ DifficultFun and addictive game but it lacks clarity. I played this game twice after I figured some things out and learned from the first time. I eventually made it to the B- list but was downgraded after not marketing a film on time. I didn’t know the distinct timeframe in which I was supposed to market. I also ended up pressing the wrong location by accident and couldn’t change it even though I hadn’t started filming. I think this game needs offer some sort of instruction the gamer doesn’t not feel as though they’ve wasted their time (like I did). It would also be nice if it felt more possible to reach a high status before you’re in your 50/60s. It would also be nice to know when you’ve won an award without having to click on the “IMbd” tab. ✓ It’s hardIt’s way harder to reach A list celebrity status compared to Music Star, I can’t grow my “fans” bar I don’t know how to even though I have almost a million fans on Twitter, I donate a lot but the bar for “philanthropy” dosent go up. My character is almost 50 and yet no blockbuster movies options. Shows that did very well don’t get renewed. Almost 50 yet didn’t touch $1M but the bankrolls are $5M-$8M. Can’t increase speech trait cuz the max energy is lower than the energy needed for upgrade.Version: 1.0.12
✓ RidiculousTo start off the energy gains in this game is unbelievable. The only real way to have energy is to buy it with real money. You can’t gain anymore skill after a while due to lack of energy. You can’t invest into property due to the lack of energy. One you accumulate enough money to invest in property you’ll need 75 energy & it already takes away 5 just to view the properties. Launching your own studio is also crazy there’s no actual way to make progress you can spend a million dollars on a screenplay and it will still depend on your skills. Your screen score doesn’t move with your actual skill level. My experience is on 100 & I have a screen score of 70. Definitely needs to make some changes & update a few things..Version: 1.0.19

✓ Lots of good ideas, lots of bugsJust want to say I really enjoy the game and how you’re fleshing it out. The constant bugs just make it annoying, like the scaling in the game is really bad. For example mangers/agents don’t continue to scale with your level nor do the offers they get you in terms of money as you level up. The Traits system could also use some work because you can’t level voice and speech past 60 if you don’t get rich faster than your age starts to take a toll on energy. The newest update that added your own film studios has also been a blast to play with but it could use a tutorial in like a notes sections or something. ✓ Solid FoundationI think the game has a lot of potential and I have enjoyed it but there is a point where you just hit a wall. The energy system just refuses to let you be great as I have a lot of difficulty keeping it above 105 for more than a couple turns and maxing out health and food. Couple that with the fact that almost every action is 20+ 😬. I also just don’t understand how fame is supposed to work in this game. How am I on the most popular show of the year but I’m just C list? And why doesn’t my fame and/or Oskar nominations/wins impact my ability to get roles? Fame seems to only correlate to getting robbed by fans lol. In general the game feels a tad empty most noticeably on the box office, viewership, and social media tabs. I have played since the update and honestly can’t say I notice much different. ✓ Huge Step Down From Music StarIt really hurts me to make this review after the amount of time and energy i’ve spent on Music Star. After downloading this app, i’ve sat for about 3 1/2 hours playing non-stop. This entire time, I’ve gone absolutely nowhere. I’m still D List, i actually can’t score ANY auditions at all, they all reject me (i’m used to it so idc about that) but I had SO much fun with Music Star, the game actually is fairly easy and way more addicting, I’ve spent upwards of 10+ hours playing it. This version *WOULD BE ADDICTING* if I could actually get somewhere. Either this game is 10 times harder or it is legitimately all by chance. I am so sorry for having to make this review, you guys work hard. I just can’t be wasting hours getting nowhere. Luckily, i didn’t spend a penny in the game. I would most definitely recommend Music Star and i’d even spend money on that. But this one??? Nope. It has so much potential, too. ✓ Can’t Make Enough Money To Enjoy The GameGreat game and all, but how on earth are you supposed to make money? I’ve won 10 Oscars and the only auditions I can apply for pay between $2K to $30K, just as it was at the start of the game. It’s not realistic, after my first Oscar I should have been receiving or at least seeing bigger pay checks, they’ve remained minimal the entire way through. My talent manager has helped with landing me the bigger auditions, however, these are never guaranteed, whilst my talent manager was a complete waste of money. There are so many things that drain your money on this game, and not enough to actually make you money. For example, being a producer and opening a studio sounds great but how on earth are you supposed to manage to make $5 Million? It was much easier to make money on your previous games, however, its incredibly difficult on this game, unless more money is provided..Version: 1.0.15
✓ Like it but unbalancedI like it so far! I think it still needs work though. The security aspect and constantly losing energy takes a lot out of the enjoyment. First, if I do an annual checkup, it shouldn’t pop up again for the rest of the year. But I still get multiple events for it! Second, I do like how there are events where it makes the celebrity stressed, but I think it’s reeeeally unbalanced. I still haven’t made much money and my celebrity is 65 already. Still can’t afford higher security and it doesn’t seem to earn back lost energy. Third, money making is extremely hard. Like way harder than the musician life. I’m not even sure if I’m getting paid for any of the projects I’ve been taking in because it isn’t really clear where the money is coming from. While I get there are ways to make more money by doing this and that, you can’t do a lot of those things because you’re constantly losing energy at a pretty rapid pace. To me, it does feel like a way for the developer to eventually have users give in and buy into their micro transactions which is a shame..Version: 1.0.12
