✓ Good game but needs a bit of balancingIt’s a good game with more strategic elements, and it’s (as of my knowledge) completely free to play. I’m only about half way through but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the process. The annual check ups are a bit weird though. The first issue is that they aren’t annual. the second is that it has a chance to decrease energy, in fact, it feels more likely to sometimes. The last four or so runs have all been shot down by losing 14+ energy, perhaps the most important stat, due to bad rng. Maybe I’m just unlucky, but having to pay 7000 cash only to lose energy makes you question why it’s even there..Version: 1.0.19

✓ It’s good but..It’s good but it’s extremely hard to progress I’ve had 200 submissions and out of those 200 submissions I only got 76 auditions and out of those 76 auditions I’ve only been selected into 19 Movies, series and commercials. My energy keeps going down and most my stats are 80+ yet I can’t get accepted into anything making it hard for me to make money within the game. It’s quite the struggle if you could make the percentage of getting jobs higher it’d be more enjoyable..Version: 1.0.12

I have been enjoying ”Music Star” for a while now and I just started playing this one & so far I’m enjoying it. If I had one little thing to change, it’d be the way the energy quickly goes down (from the Security threats, annual checkup, etc) and there aren’t many ways to bring it back up. ✓ Great but…This game is great especially for only being a week or 2 old, there are a few issues however. 1 my manager seems to be no use, I’m a B rating and I’ve had him for ages but he hasn’t done anything, I’m unsure if this is a bug or if I am too low level. From getting him I can invest in movies but I need millions which I struggle to get at the moment. 2 my energy levels were good but you can’t get max level stats or atleast it’s very hard to get stats as your energy levels need to be high which require millions to buy a home, car etc. 3 I wish you could date like the music star simulator. ✓ One of a kindThe game itself is great and anyone familiar with Chimpanzees engine will be up and running in no time. You are an actor applying for roles, whilst trying to make a living at drama school. The downside is that it is incredibly repetitive and as the game progresses there is less and less to do. A few ideas: 1. More scripts. You cannot complete the game without playing in the same film/show multiple times. 2. Better structured payments. Payments don’t match actor experience/fame. 3. The ability to turn down/negotiate roles offered to you by your agent. 4. Direct approaches from production companies 5. Multi-film deals with production companies. 6. Unlockable writing. Write and perform in your film, or even demand to direct. 7. Unlockable directing/producing. 8. Direct approach/build relationships with directors 9. Theatre. Add plays with contracted runs. eg. 6 months at x per month. Include Broadway and off Broadway. Ml 10. Brands offer you commercials. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game and am a big fan of Chimpanzee. I would love to see them dig even deeper. It would be the difference between a good game and a great game..Version: 1.0.23

✓ Fantastic game, couple issuesReally fun game loop with great sense of progression. Definitely worth getting, but there's a couple issues I have. One, when negotiating different parts, even if you have over 100% chance with your agent/manager, you can still fail pretty regularly. I also have an absurd amount of 80% + negotiations fail. There's definitely some skewing being done here and it feels super unfair to the player. Second, you'll get offers from agents and managers at like half the skill level of your current one. Realistically those people aren't approaching an A list celebrity. There should be some sort of minimum overall they can be to be on your list as your status grows. ✓ Great GameI love to play these little life sims but I’m a tad perplexed in the energy system. I am supposed to reach 0 and when I hit “End Week” it replenishes. This worried me because I feel like I’m not being asked for in app purchases but then I checked and I don’t even know if it’s a purchase. I know you can buy stamina and stamina caps but is stamina just replenished every week and we have 100 stamina per week? The game definitely captures the hardships an actor/actress must go through to become on top. Whiles it definitely a fun game it can be a little annoying. When I apply for acting gigs and get an audition my performance isn’t very high and do use up energy to make my performance higher. However that doesn’t seem to really help that much. I even tried to get my talent higher but I have to use up so much energy to get my talents higher and it doesn’t seem to be even helping with my audition performances..Version: 1.0.18

✓ Good but needs work!I enjoy really any new games these studios release, and this was is without any exception of being good but it does need work! For one, it takes 40+ years to become an A+ actor, and auditioning feels very rigged. It feel like for every 15 movie/tv show/commercials you audition you only get accepted to one! Also, I’m still waiting for the update where we can release our own movies under our own studios! I have invested about $20 for this game, and one of the most sad parts is that if you delete the app you can not retrieve your previous purchase but have to re purchase them (same goes for the Music Star). Another thing is that when the app goes through all it’s movies and tv shows names, they just recycle them, and I’m like: we need more titles because I don’t want to act in movies/tv shows I’ve already! The plus about this game is that it’s as immersive as playing Music Star. It uses the basic formula from Music Star so I could catch on easily for this game! Also, it’s enjoyable now having a percentage of a movie! Another thing I would want to change is if the box office part of the game uses real-time box office. What I mean, the better the movie the longer it stays, and the more worse the movie, the less it stays in! Overall, this movie is a solid B+ to A- movie. The manager u have to pay weekly wages I’m ok with that but my problem is that they are supposed to get u endorsement I was so far into the game my agent booking high paying roles and that, but the manager for 5years game time didn’t do, anything no angel investment nor any endorsement, and the life becomes expansive if u do have another source of income because the more famous u get the more there is a security risk which can put u in the negative in terms of money.Version: 1.0.9

✓ Great at first until you reach billionaireEnjoyable at first. Grinding and trying to maximize energy spending every week is quite addicting. Finding that perfect talent agent or manager is awesome as they really help with progression. Don’t wait too long to build up your talent points or you won’t score those better gigs. The director addition was a good idea, however, it feels like it’s missing some additional sliders that players can adjust to improve or worsen the outcome of the movie. Maybe allow the player to choose equipment, producers, camera men etc., or the ability to create scenes for your movies. Some additional events would be cool too. Things that a player must choose that will affect different aspects. And as others have said, once you get to a certain point, there is nothing else to purchase and with the new cap on directing/creating movies, doesn’t give much incentive for players who have put in work and invested real money to even play anymore. Unfortunately I don’t earn enough money to increase my philanthropy level. I tried buying an add on to upgrade my stats but it didn’t do much at all. ✓ It’s fun!I just started this game and I’m already addicted. I understand that this is a new game and there are things that still need to be worked out. So, the things that aren’t making sense to me don’t bother me, I’m just waiting for an update 🥰 For example, I’ll get an audition, but after a few clicks, I can no longer raise the bar to pass the audition. I’ll have 100 energy but the option to keep working on the audition just disappears. So I’m left with no jobs because I can’t finish the audition. Am I doing something wrong? ✓ Good but needs work.The game is fun, borderline addicting and easy enough to get into. However there are several issues which need addressing. My biggest issue is with the casting process: which seemingly has no rhyme or reason to it other than complete and utter randomness. You could audition for roles, have all of your talent stats maxed out (including experience) and deliver a 100 on the audition performance and still not be selected. That seems incredibly flawed as a system to me and sort of spoils some of the fun of the game. Another gripe is that pretty much all of the movie/show titles are slight variations of real life versions, this is fine by itself but it means that after a while they just get recycled. My advice to the devs to streamline the process of adding more unique titles and descriptions would be to use online title and description generators for film. There are plenty online and combining them to add more would solve this issue entirely in a way that doesn’t take up any real dev effort. Lastly, it would be cool if we could interact with and have personal relationships with other people in the industry. Just something that would add to the immersive aspect of the game. ✓ Great game, needs a bit moreOverall love the game and what it aspires to do, gives off a very similar bitlife vibe. Something I will say about that game that can be improved would be the energy spending system on talents specifically. They get very expensive very quickly. I am only Voice and Speech 56 and it costs 116 to go another level up. One other issue I have is the Actor Rating. I am still considered a B- actor because I have barely any fans. This confuses me as I have 9 Oskar wins and 10 Oskar nominations which is 3x as much as the actor with the most irl Oscars holds. I also have had 148 principal roles (24 background) and 172 total credits. So I am not exactly sure how to go about considering how much I have done yet my net worth lies at $12M I am not sure how to feel about that as it is more then double what Dwayne Johnson has for example (56 acting roles) , yet his “estimated” net worth lies around $800M But the game itself is overall a very enticing and seemingly realistic simulation and it is very satisfying to play..Version: 1.0.16

✓ Addicting but frustratingThis is a really fun and unique game but I will say it is frustrating how long it takes to max out your skills how low the pay is starring like a $50 million movie and you only get paid like 50 grand even if you’ve already been nominated for two Oscars and been in a lot of other movies the progression to get fans as well should be a lot less linear and more exponential. You shouldn’t be getting a similar amount of fans for being in a commercial to a movie and even when you’re in the movie you only get like 5000 or so fans.Version: 1.0.21
