✓ Great game but…The controls are horrible! Trying to navigate is a nightmare. I also notice when I’m in “build” mode the camera glitches when I try to zoom in and out. I’m not even able to turn the camera to see all angles. It worked for a slip sec then stopped. So I’m only able to edit my valley from one angle and it’s frustrating because I have to keep going in and out of edit mode to see if the item is in the right spot that makes sense. ✓ Better than I expectedI really and truly love this game. Interacting with so many beloved characters is fun and deeply nostalgic. But… there seems to be a lot of glitches with the actual game play. Things like being unable select an item no matter how many times you tap it or not being able to complete a quest even though you’ve met all requirements because the character will not register all objectives as checked off when they are indeed finished. I keep looking for updates to fix these bugs but nothing yet. Sometimes restarting the game will fix it but not always. Also, the camera is a little frustrating. I finished the main storyline within 2-3 weeks and have had a blast playing, so I would love to give this five stars, but there are some bugs that need to be worked out first. There are several glitches mentioned by other reviewers, but the one that’s bothering me most is the Bibbidi Boppidi Oops glitch. I have finished most of the friends quests, but I can’t clear this one because the espresso machine doesn’t appear in Remy’s restaurant to photograph. Apparently, this was a known issue with the Eternity Isle DLC months before the game dropped on Arcade, so it is very frustrating it wasn’t fixed prior to release. ✓ Fun but glitches and battery drainAnytime I complete a portion of a quest, it glitches and I have to close the app completely and restart. The biggest issue is how much it drains the battery. Have a brand new ipad and this game drained 15% in about a half hour time-frame. That is a 2% drain per minute!!! ✓ Pretty good, but could be better.As someone who came from the console edition, this is my review. Gameplay wise, it’s fantastic. It is the exact same game as the console edition and includes the newest expansion pack for free! That being said, there is definitely some cons. My iPad is listed on the comparability list for this game, but every time the game opens it tells me my device is incompatible and force closes the game down. With the lack of iPad compatibility I’m stuck playing the game on my phone. The game play is the same but the chat texts are so small you really struggle to see them. Zooming and turning your view becomes difficult at times because of the limited screen space on my iPhone to keep these functions fluid. You need to take a picture with your camera for a quest? Good luck getting your rotation and zoom correct the first time. Overall the game has potential. The fact that this is the full console game plus the expansion pack is promising.
