D&D Lords of Waterdeep for Positive User Reviews

This game has repeatabilityReally enjoy this game. It is repeatable without getting boring. Very much a replica of the board game without the setup/pack up. Only downfall is the AI is too easy even on hardest difficulty..Version: 2.0.4

One of the best board game appsI have been playing this wonderful game for year, and if you are on the fence do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this game. The complaints about the interface are way off base in my opinion and at worst could drop it a half a star - way too much whining going on in some reviews..Version: 2.0.4

Fun game , good interfaceI have played lords of the Waterdeep on my iPad for over three years now. I love playing the game because I don’t have anyone around me who likes or wants to play strategy games. So this electronic version is an awesome way for me to play. I am working on getting my niece and her husband set up so we can have our own game. I have never had any problems with any hitches any glitches everything works everything does what it supposed to. I love it and recommend it for anybody who likes a good fun strategy game..Version: 2.1.1

Excellently crafted iOS version of the gameThe iOS version of LoW is a faithful reproduction of the board game. Great implementation of the rules, tabletop features and AI. Very stable, have yet to experience a single crash in 100s of plays..Version: 1.0.2

Love this gameI’ve only jut downloaded it. The landscape orientation doesn’t bother me at all as I have never played it in portrait mode. It’s easy to learn and great fun to play. My only gripe is that there is no one online to play. I hope this changes as I download board games specifically to play online.Version: 2.0.4

Mint!Been waiting for this a while and it doesn't disappoint. Awesome game (strategic Euro game with a D&D fantasy theme - what's not to like?) which has been very nicely adapted for play on the iPad. Highly recommended..Version: 1.0.0

Thank You ‘SeriousRushFan...Update: I stopped paying with AI Arilyn Moonblade. She ALWAYS wins matter how many AIs are in the game, she wins and by 20-30 points each time. Even with all the AIs difficulty set to easy. The game’s fun w/o her. —— ...for mentioning in your review what device you’re playing D&D Lords Of Waterdeep on. I, too, have the 12.9” Pro so I knew I could buy the game and be able to read the smallest fonts with the ‘card zoom’ feature. And to be honest, the redesigned (unknown to me at the time) UI is exactly what caught my eye first, before I knew it was a D&D game. By the way, there is a game status screen. Touch any player’s avatars. Plus a game history screen too. I’m already lovin’ D&D Lords Of Waterdeep!.Version: 2.0.4

Great game, infinitely replayable, some issues. For all the recent updates, this game is still flawed. Sometimes everyone is declared the winner (when it isn’t a draw). The text on the cards is almost impossible to read, even on a 12” iPad. I wish they would fix these things rather than changing the card sounds, which are just annoying. Nevertheless, I absolutely love this game! I’ve been playing it for years. The AI isn’t that smart, which makes it all the more crushing when I do lose a game 🤣.Version: 2.1.1

Fantastic gameOnce you learn the game its a lot of fun... By far the best board game i've played on iphone.Version: 2.0.4

Excellent worker placement with D&D flavor text.So I actually started playing Waterdeep on the tabletop edition. Wasn’t really a big fan, but would play it now and then. My friend got the game on iOS, and I subsequently bought it and both expansions. That was several years ago, probably played the game a few times. Fast forward to last month when I reinstalled and started playing against a couple buddies. Found some random people online with similar skills and I am currently really enjoying this game. My only hiccup is the notification bug. I used to get notifications from the game, and it worked great. Somehow I am now not getting any. I checked my settings in the game and on my phone, but without any luck. Devs: please fix the notification bugs. Cheers!.Version: 2.0.4

Awesome funGrate game: easy to learn difficult to master - multiplayer or solo.Version: 1.1.1

BrilliantOne of the best apps on ipad. Its a strategic fantasy styled board game but gameplay is clever and really makes you think. Addictive and every game is different. Multiplayer is well set up but needs more players. I guess its still pretty new. Dont be put off by the d&d theme. If you like strategy games or playing board games you will like it. Edit: in future updates, can you make multiplayer international to broaden the field? Also a profile timeline would be nice. Thanks..Version: 1.2.2

Very goodThe game is very good and exactly like the board game, AI is very challenging but it has 1 bug that stops it getting 5 stars. The AI loads up 1 person, either AI or human will all Mandatory Quests (these are bad things which slow you down), after playing 9 games this has happened to me three times where I have been given on average 4 Mandatory Quests and no one else has any. Needs a patch. Otherwise very good and fun :).Version: 1.0.1

Very goodThe mark of a good ios board game for me is one that would persuade you it buy the physical game, and this would. The only thing that stops it being 5 stars for me is the ever so slightly clunky feel to the board, cards, tokens, interaction. But I couldn't produce something like this in a month of Sundays so really, who am I to complain? Plus it's Playdek, a company I've started to look for as you can rely on their quality..Version: 1.1.0

How apps, especially games should be.But please, please, plrease, update it for 64 bit iOS- I want to keep playing! Now that its updated for iOS 64 bit, I have been playing this for past 2 weeks. It is Awesome. New update to speed up AI thinking, and I can’t wait to take over Waterdeep again! Love it!.Version: 2.0.4

A well built appSeeing the lower rating I was expecting the app to have a lot of bugs but having played so many games over the past few weeks, I must compliment the developers! So glad there is an app for the game I love so much. Even with the pandemic situation I can play it online with people..Version: 2.0.4

❤️ the Game - Crashes Constantly. F#%%Best game, super easy to pick up and use. When playing online the game crashes constantly or forfeits me from the game. C’mon guys! The last update was year ago. Please fix the bug and then I’ll change it to 5 stars in a heart beat..Version: 2.0.4

ImpressiveThis is the first review I have ever written for a game because it deserves a good review. I have never played the table top version of this game so the tutorial was important to me. The tutorial in this game takes you through step by step all the things you can do in the game and what to watch out for, at the end it throws you into the game for you to carry on and see if you can win ( I lost) but I like the fact I lost, because there is a bit of a learning curve in this game. I'm playing the game on my ipad mini 1 and it works fine with no glitches, I have had no crashes. The music is nice in the background and the graphics are charming and smooth and look good. This isn't just a money making adaptation but it's got heart . I would recommend age 14+ for non gamers to understand the mechanics and probably 9+ for gamers who play board games regulary. To read up about the game itself go to boardgamegeeks.Version: 1.0.0

One of the bestThis is not a 3.1 star implementation of a board game (avg rating as I write this)…it’s a 5 star implementation. I get it’s not great on iPhones, but it rocks on the iPad, in particular for multiplayer. Other player actions are always very clear. The UI is sharp. Graphics are spot-on. If you like the board game, buy the app..Version: 2.1.2

Good but needs AI players For OnlineI really like the game but wish they would add an option to add AI players in onl8ne multiplayer for those times when you don’t have a full group of players..Version: 2.0.4

Great game even on iPhoneGreat port of an awesome game. On the iPhone is actually how I learned the game and then went out and bought the physical game. If playing on iOS, Its better on an iPad but you can manage on iPhone if you have good vision or glasses. If I had one complaint, I wish on iPhone cards could be tapped and made larger as the font is so small. Still, a great game I keep coming back to time and time again. I play vs AIs mainly and I find them challenging and competitive. Recommend if you like worker placement games and/or D&D. This is my favorite worker placement as the theme rocks..Version: 2.1.1

No issues with UIThere are many negative reviews because of a UI change that was made many years ago. It is too bad there isn’t an option to change it for people who preferred the old UI. I don’t know what the old UI looked like, but I haven’t had any issues playing this on my iPhone. It’s been great for asynchronous games with my friends. I’m sure they appreciate me getting my turns done more quickly as well..Version: 2.1.2

No longer crashingThe September 2020 update had made the game unstable for a while, but after reinstalling and rebooting it seems to be stable again and is back to being my favourite iOS game..Version: 2.1.0

LOVE THIS GAMEOur whole family plays it. It’s so nice to have this game in digital form because there are so many pieces involved with the board game. We still pull out our board game sometimes, but we prefer to use the digital version because it keeps track of everything for us. The graphics are great!! We’ve had the Lord’s of Water Deep app for over 2 years now. It’s a family favorite!!.Version: 2.1.6

Fantastic Port of the Board GameI’ve been playing the app for years, and actually bought the physical game because of how much I enjoyed it in digital form. I know people are complaining about the new UI, after the update, and as an old school player it did take some getting used to, but I really like the update now. Gameplay is smooth and easy. Multiplayer works well. The little touches such as the animations of birds flying overhead and ships coming in and out of port, as well as the thematic sounds effects just go to show what talented developers can do in digital to bring an analog game to life. Playdek rarely disappoints and they live up to their reputation in this adaptation. I have no complaints and highly recommend this app..Version: 2.0.4

Great game (but update offline play)Love the game, and the layout is great on the iPad. If you’re familiar with the actual board game, this was a great port. I would like to recommend updating offline play, though. I have the base game and all expansions. However, when not connected to the internet (my iPad is wifi only), the expansions are not available. Can you please allow the expansions to be played when not connected to the internet? That’s my only gripe with this. Otherwise, great!.Version: 2.0.4

Faithful RecreationLords for iOS is a great recreation of the board game by the same name. I have yet to experience and bugs or crashes. 5/5.Version: 1.0.2

GreatNot sure what all the negative reviews are i guess it must have been fixed or updated since as it looks and works perfectly on iPad now, and is a great game. Get it..Version: 2.0.4

Works perfectly for IPADThe game is amazing. The player base is small because all the iPhone users no longer play due to not being able to read the text after landscape mode became the only style. But if you use an iPad, the small text is perfectly fine..Version: 2.0.4

Best board game conversion?Superb. Really well done with this Playdek. The big improvement would be a chat function - like Carcasonne where the chat stays there ideally. Friends and I always have a game of Carc running just to be able to chat about the LoW games we're playing! Option for delisting some of the controversial options like Open Lord whe creating game set up would be good Finally it would be great if you could boot players at the start of the game if you don't like the amount of times they have forfeited. Other than these niggles, LoW is a truly exceptional port. Well done Playdek!.Version: 1.2.1

Great gameI enjoy playing this game. The gameplay is slick and relatively easy to learn. I don’t know why but it’s a highly satisfying experience and a pleasure to play..Version: 2.1.1

Great game, deep game, interesting game.I’ve read the reviews that the UI update sucked. I will never know, b/c I just got this game in a sale & I never played the old UI. I also learned to play the game by doing tutorials. Game seems really strategic, lots of possibilities, skill seems to matter a lot, and the opponent can really throw a monkey wrench into your plan. This game is pretty awesome! I’d suggest to devs that they allow old players a toggle to switch back to portrait UI and cards visible (I might try it out myself), but the game seems perfectly playable with this UI. Sidenote: I had similar experience with Pathfinder — early player, loved it, was hammering on Quest Mode & loving it — and then dev’s removed Quest Mode & the players rebelled, essentially killing the ratings & loyalty of the players. While I think this is also still a great game using D&D IP, I don’t understand why dev’s would intentionally alienate their loyal players just to push gamers to do more IAPs (which they won’t bc of the hate). GAMEDEVS: LEARNING OPPORTUNITY!!!.Version: 2.0.4

Outstanding GameI never played the board game, but a friend recommended this. It is initially a little disappointing - collecting coloured cubes. But the more you play it the more you realise what a complex and intelligent game it is. It is a bit like abstract chess with a bit of luck thrown in. It is currently my favourite game..Version: 1.2.4

Excellent Boardgames AdaptationA must purchase for fans of the boardgames and for fans of worker placement games in general..Version: 2.0.4

Getting us through COVID-19 Quarantine!!!My siblings and I love this game! Anytime we get together we always break it out. However, we love in different states so this has been great to keep the fun going. We're also all in Quarantine because of COVID-19 and this is help keeping us sane... So far no major issues. It can be a little laggy, but we've all been able to play through just fine. Now if my sister would just freaking go when it's her turn!!!!!!.Version: 2.0.4

UnplayableThe update has slowed things considerably. While the previous game artwork remains relatively unchanged the zoom/interactive map and card graphics have sunk this once great game. Please please please fix it. Update: went back to try again a few weeks later and all the clunkiness has been cleaned up. Thank you. This game is now playable again and great as ever!.Version: 2.0.4

Hours of funBeen ill this week so downloaded a handful of ios boardgames. so far this is my favourite. the games are a good 40 min in length and i keep on playing just one more....Version: 1.1.1

Great worker placement gameIf you like worker placement games, this is one of my favorite. Each turn, you're trying to complete quests by accumulating units of various professions (and also money). Each player has a secret agenda, which changes what types of questions you'll prefer. There's considerable variety in how each game plays out, and the sounds and graphics add nicely to play. This isn't a D&D RPG. But it's very enjoyable. It's nice to have a game where you turn your mind on rather than off, on iOS. Edit: Minus one star for the update the switched to landscape. This took a 5-star game and worsened playability. In a strange way, it’s a little prettier. But I have a much harder time playing. They had (and no doubt in their codebase still HAVE) and perfectly good portrait-orientation UI. If they wanted to enable landscape, I wish they’d done it by giving is the OPTION which one to use. As I type this, the average rating is now 2.6. When I first reviewed it as a 5-star game, its average was quite a bit higher..Version: 2.0.4

Fun, fairly easy to learn board game with depth. For a game with some depth this is a relatively easy game to learn and a fairly simple concept which I like. The fantasy theme is really just an excuse to have some nice illustrations and text which is fair enough but anyone who is expecting an adventure type game might be disappointed. It’s really about collecting coloured cubes to complete the requirements of the cards that you pick up in the course of the game. It’s quite tactical and over time and from searching online I’ve developed some good strategies. It’s satisfying to see my scores improve however, no matter how much my score improves by even the “Simple” AI always beats me by about fifty points so I have never actually come close to winning a game. Still, it is fun and I keep going back to try out new strategies. I’m sure if I am ever able to beat the AI then I’ll feel the need to splash out on the expansions too. Just won my first game an hour or so after posting the above review. Very satisfying..Version: 2.0.4

Absolutely SolidA perfect translation of tabletop boardgame to digital. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a taste of what modern board game design is capable of delivering - it's a little less scary than opening a box with hundreds of little pieces of plastic and cards. The D&D lore is not essential to enjoy the game, but is certainly a bonus for those that do. Easy-intermediate learning curve - the concept can be picked up by most folk after 1-2 rounds. No reliance on pesky dice, the strategy comes in the decision making..Version: 1.1.1

Brilliant Worker-Placement, Resource Management GameAs a fan of the ultimate in the genre, that of Agricola, this plays quite similarly and also has shades of the mechanics of Le Harve, this is a hugely enjoyable game! Can't wait for the expansions..Version: 1.0.0

Finally an update! After 3 years, huge updates - online chat, finally. Cross platform play - more players. More used to the old vertical view, wish they had an option to switch back & forth. Servers are a bit slow, have to refresh games list multiple times to see available games. Besides the complaints, excellent adaptation of a board game into an app. Couldn't find anything wrong with gameplay..Version: 2.0.2

Lords of Waterdeep: excellent game, brilliant appThis as as well-executed an app as I've seen. It's of an excellent and (I think) fairly new boardgame. The AI is challenging and the game is great fun to play. The interface is slick, flexible, helpful, beautiful. If you like euro-style boardgames and especially if you were ever a roleplayer and can identify with the setting of adventurers for hire, you are liable to love this. Impressed and happy..Version: 1.0.2

ONE LAST FAVOURThis has to be the most enjoyable games on the store. Thank you for updating to work on 64bit and the continued support to those who have purchased both this and the IAPs as well, which add so much more depth to the game. Whilst the game is deserving of 5 stars, the issue with landscape mode, whilst not an issue on iPad, can be frustrating on iPhones and being able to manually switch between iPhone (portrait) and iPad (landscape) would be appreciated. Understand that this would mean additional patching, but if you considered this then you would have a happy player base. Thanks PlayDek.Version: 2.0.4

Great upgrade to a great game.I play this game a lot. I was glad to hear that the game would get the 64 bit upgrade that was necessary for compatibility with upcoming iOS upgrade. The old interface was quirky but felt like the actual board game. My initial reaction of new interface was a bit negative but after playing for a few games, I do like it. Perhaps new interface better suits iPad over phones. Update... Now that slow AI problem is fixed, I am glad to be able to play this great game again..Version: 2.0.4

Playdek do it againAnother fine board game implementation from Playdek. I had not played the game before, but the tutorial is top notch and I was soon playing confidently (although not yet well). The interface is a little cramped on iPhone, but on iPad it's a joy. Once I get more accomplished I shall venture online and lose against real people rather than the AI..Version: 1.0.0

Didn’t like it at first but now I think it’s great! It seemed weird that a Dungeons & Dragons game didn’t feature you fighting in combat directly. But this game has grown on me. It’s a “euro” style boardgame that’s digitized so you can play solo against AI opponents. I enjoy playing the role of a cunning lord trying to gain power and influence in a city against other lords, using adventurers as a kind of weird “human currency” to achieve quests. I find it much more fun than playing chess to while away time when I am waiting or just want to exercise my mind..Version: 2.1.6

Best game I have played on IPhoneAs a d&d fan, this game did not disappoint. Characters and creatures from the d&d Forgotten Realms City of Waterdeep are all here. The turn based gameplay is smooth and after tens of hours playing commuting back and forth from work this game has not crashed once. I love this game! Please bring out an expansion, I will be one of the first to buy it!.Version: 1.0.2

Good game and the UI is fineThis is a worker placement game that has a decent tutoring system, as well as suitable graphics. I’ve read about the UI being messy, and so forth, which initially caused me to hesitate in purchasing the game. However, after I did purchase it, I found the UI to be fine (not great). Nothing in this game will blow you away; however, as with the board game, the mechanics are simple and some complex strategy. Said mechanics can get more complex with purchase of expansions (I did not do this), which can radically change the game. Online play is essentially nonexistent. Overall? If you like the board game or, to a lesser extent, worker placement games, you’ll enjoy this. Be aware that you likely won’t be playing online..Version: 2.0.4

Notifications simply don't...Good game, been playing constantly for years. Agree with the others that the Landscape board was not an improvement. But what kills me is that the Notifications simply don't work. Yes, it annoys me that once a game ends I get no notification, and it disappears entirely from the active games, so I have to go hunting for it- but the app being unable to simply notify a player it is their turn is the worst. We have to maintain a chat on Signal just to update each other on whose turn it is now. Speaks well to the game that we still play constantly. I have full faith this can be fixed, so please do..Version: 2.1.6

Great appI own the board game version. I bought this to pass the time on the train and have been very impressed. I recommend this to anyone that likes board games or strategy games..Version: 1.2.3

Ignore the bad reviews-game is amazingReading the reviews, I was hesitant. The game works great with no glitches that I can see! I learned how to play the game through the tutorials. They were easy to understand and I was playing the game in no time. It’s quickly become a favorite. I imagine if you’re a fan of the board game, this is a no brainer. If you’re a board gamer like me, I suspect this is also for you!.Version: 2.0.4

2 relatively minor problemsExcellent addictive game, 2 minor quibbles: -Don't even think of multi-tasking with this game. If I close it down and try to reopen it crashes (iPad 3). -I wish there was an option to able to see the AI players cards when they play them, a the game moves very fast..Version: 1.1.0

Still great 4 years laterUpdate: Still a great game 4 years after I bought it. I will admit that the cards and board are hard to read since it was updated to iOS 11. Fortunately I have the 12.9 inch pro and zooming takes care of that. I would not try to play this game on an iPhone however due to the detail. At first I thought the AI was tough. But I kept playing and now I am winning on easy. The AI is just right because it challenges you to be a better player. This is my favorite game..Version: 2.0.4

Excellent game and expansions, just one thing. You can tell great care went into creating this with the smooth gameplay flow, retinal graphics and sound. Well done Playdek. Only issue is that you can’t add bots to an ONLINE game with a friend. Would be a nice update if you could, as bots add a different dynamic to the game. Otherwise a flawless interpretation of the worker placement board game..Version: 2.0.4

Great little digital board gameI just started playing this game, and it plays smooth, I have no problem with the UI and the tutorial is excellent. It plays great on my Ipad and IPhone X Max, also the AI is very challenging. If you enjoy board games this is a great one to pick up to play on your phone when your on the go, much better than wasting time with all the Free games, that end up costing so much in the end..Version: 2.0.4

Great gameLike new interface for iPad. Disappointed to have expansions I paid for disappear. Will not repurchase them. Overall good game but playtek needs to correct lost expansions, restore purchase does not solve problem..Version: 2.1.6

Wonderful. This is the best board game conversion I have played, it is marvelous. It is the little things that make this conversion really shine, for example the little animated ships which sail to and from Waterdeep harbour and the ambient sound effects. I can imagine that this game would be hard to understand without having played the board game first, but there is a great tutorial to help you wrap your head around your first game. Digital board games will never replace the physical originals in my opinion, but having this title ready to play on a tablet is a lovely thing indeed..Version: 1.0.1

Great but..Please provide a way to not use Xanathar (player). I’ve ripped up this card in my home game because it’s so unbalanced and weak. would also be great if it could stay logged in..Version: 2.0.4

True to the board game. This is the first review I've written, but I was just so pleased by this game I had to share it. This is a great adaptation of what is a great board game. It is stable, beautiful art style and has a great interface. The game itself is easy to learn, challenging and has great character. I have played it solo about 30 times and I still really enjoy it..Version: 1.0.1

Ignore the old reviews and try this game! This is a great game with some flaws, but if you like the game you’ll overlook them. First, I hope you won’t let the older reviews scare you off. I play this game on an iPhone and have no problems reading the cards and spaces. If the card appears small, touch it and it will enlarge so you can read it. Touch it again to return it to the board. I would recommend turning down the animations if you play it a lot, FYI, otherwise the game can be a battery killer though. This is a fun, engaging game with just enough strategy to be fun but not so much that you can’t multitask. You can play a game in 30 minutes which for me is perfect. If you enjoy board games, light strategy and/or fantasy settings, I would recommend giving it a try. Start with the basic game with two other players (if you play with one generated player, you will be relentlessly attacked so play with two). The Undermountain expansion adds a lot to the game without creating complexity, so I always play with it and I also recommend the extended play. The Skullport expansion is confusing in the app. I don’t play it. I don’t find it to be user friendly. But I never liked it all that much to begin with. Hope this review helps!.Version: 2.1.0

New additions are great!FYI...The Monsters Made to Order Building is missing its Skillport Symbol on the left of the building tile. This new implementation is awesome. Took some use to playing sideways, but now it flows so well. Plus the additions are top notch and add a lot to the experience. Chat in the game and main menu is the best!!! The ability to look back and see the actions players have taken is great! Been playing this game with the same group for 3 or 4 years, we all love this app experience..Version: 2.0.4

Great on iPad!Although I admit it’s not the greatest on iPhone (especially since it’s not optimized for iPhone X), this version is awesome on iPad & iPad mini. Obviously, when viewing cards, some action spaces are going to be covered. Big deal. You can quickly move it away and view the whole board. Those complaining that they’ll never play again because there’s no portrait mode are just whiny babies. Grow up and enjoy this fantastic game!.Version: 2.0.4

Excellent - just a few improvements neededThis is an excellent digital version of the board game, just two things I would like to see: 1. The ability to chat with online players from the end of game results screen (to congratulate the winner... or gloat... whatever is your thing 😀) 2. A distinctive sound played when you are in the app and it is your turn on the game (so you don't have to keep your eyes glued to the screen when playing things like 45 min timer games).Version: 2.0.2

Great implementation, but a niggling problemLords of Waterdeep is a great implementation of a very good worker placement boardgame. Lots of choice and variety in the selection of actions and tons of replayability. Being very true to the tabletop game, the digital version suffers slightly from the same problem - that cubes aren't very thematic, and it's tough to convince yourself that these little blocks are clerics and warriors etc. As usual, Playdek knocks the presentation out of the park, and digital mechanisms work well... Unfortunately, the Undermountain expansion seems to have introduced a slight bug where, on occasion, you can't complete quests for which you have all the prerequisites, and you seem to be stuck that way for the rest of the game, unable to complete quests. At first, I thought I must have incomplete mandatory quests, but this has proved not to be the case. Fix it soon, please, Playdek. I love ya..Version: 1.1.1

Quick action to fix AI isssueI submitted a review on the previous update for 1 star as the AI decision time was taking way to long making games against it take an unbearably long time. Within 2 weeks a new update was released fixing the issue. This brought the game back up to the top of my go to games and made me a happy customer again!.Version: 2.1.6

Sets standard in board games portsThis is so well done. Even if you've never played it and want to enjoy a good board game, simple, fun, and enjoyable. Highly commend them on the implementation and highly recommend it..Version: 1.2.4

Pretty goodNever heard of this game nor played it before the update. The reviews scared me off but gave it shot with the app sale. No regrets. Playing on mini iPad 4 and it is very much playable. Just went through the tutorial and no issues with reading cards. Granted can't compare to what people are complaining about before but so far so good. Recommend it! Update: So after playing a couple games I can see where people say you can't read all the cards. I'm guessing they mean the building cards if there's a lot at once. No problem as you can swipe and scroll them. Then double click to view it entirely. Not a big deal and nothing to prevent playing but it is a nuisance. Granted the playing field is limited and its mobile so what they have is probably as good as it gets..Version: 2.0.4

I want stats!!Fantastic game easy to learn but has real depth and variation. Quite challenging but even when losing is enjoyable.......my only gripe? The lack of stats!! I have lost many games by a few points but rather than it going as a 2nd place finish it's a loss. I would love a more detailed breakdown of each game I've played such as final scores. Also overall stats like highest ever scoring game and most quests completed in a game. I'm sure the many 'geeks' who play this game would agree they'd love to be able to pore over the stats of previous games played..Version: 1.1.1

Getting better but still need tweakingSeems stable now and with my new iPhone X, performance is a lot better. Although there are some area needs to work on. Like allowing me zooming in the card. iPhone X landscape and please bring back vertical. Private chat text is really too tiny to read, please allow users to adjust the size of text..Version: 2.0.4

AI SO slowThis game would be 5 stars (I really love it!) but the AI is painfully slow. My ipad has locked itself up in between turns whilst I wait. It wasn't always this slow, if they could correct this it would be 5 stars for sure!.Version: 2.0.3

Amazing and funPlays well on iPad with 2 player pass and play as well as solo games..Version: 2.0.4

Brilliant gameIt plays brilliantly on 12.9 inch iPad. The presentation is excellent, with great tutorials (including tutorials for the two expansions, so you can see the new mechanics in action before you buy!). AI moves are pretty much instantaneous, only occasionally is there any ‘thinking’ time. The board fits on a single screen making it very easy to play. There are a lot of really neat touches that make the whole game feel pretty slick, but most of all it is really good fun to play..Version: 2.0.4

Fantastic!A very faithful reproduction of this brilliant board game. Easy to play and intuitive. Graphics are spot on (original graphics from the board game) but with some added minor animations for aesthetics. Online multiplayer and offline single play is available. The board game is brilliant and rated one of the best in gaming communities - so it's awesome to see such a high quality reproduction available for iOS..Version: 1.0.0

Playdek does it againA superb game implementation that has now left me no surprises on Christmas Day. The cardboard version of Lords of Waterdeep is on my Christmas list. We'll done again. A well deserved 5*.Version: 1.0.0
