FREEletics? Why is this call free letics if u have to pay to use the app for what u got it for. A bit misleading in my opinion. Over $80 for a 12 week program wth 😬.Version: 5.26.0

Unfair customer support for refundsThis app set you in an automatic renewal and if you miss to cancel it and ask for a refund on the same day of the renewal, they won’t consider it in anyway. This is very disappointing for a software company that could prefer customer service over and brand reputation over securing one-time wins..Version: 23.23.0

Good but…I enjoy that you can personalise most things your workouts. It would be good if you could select between a female or male coach or if prerecorded videos of the coaches were more culturally appropriate. I find it difficult to recommend this app to friends and family for this reason because they would feel uncomfortable. Inclusivity when you’re paying so much is not too much to ask :) I also find that it’s difficult to contact support because you’re then referred to the chat bot instead talking to a person..Version: 24.5.0

Not sure who this app is targeted atI got this app to do home workouts as my gym is back to mask mandatory. I purchased a 3 month subscription. I am used to taking group classes with an instructor or with a trainer. This app does not come close to that setting. There is no voice coach to provide tips or instructions. The written instructions are vague and the videos are minimalist at best. No investment by the developers to provide a “training environment”. The primary goal is to beat your personal best time. After each exercise you are prompted to “tell your followers how you did”. I find that really annoying. The voice that counts your start up sounds computer generated. The developers couldn’t find a real person to count to 5? And there are plenty of prompts to purchase equipment. Someone is making a lot of money with minimal investment in this app. I am going to look for another..Version: 7.32.0

CrashingThe app keeps crashing so I can't log into to it..Version: 3.3.3

LimitedI loved the idea at first. An AI powered coach that adjusts to my goals, performance, setbacks, etc. but that’s all marketing BS. There is no AI or adjustments or changes. If there is, it’s not evident as really not much has changed in the workout routines so question this benefit. Also, I find that swiping from exercise to exercise a little annoying instead of saying “Next” or having the app track my completion via the camera or hand gesture. I also would like to be able to redo any Coach workout I’ve Completed. So if I had a coach training on a Tuesday with a break on Wednesday, I cannot go back to my Tuesday session and redo if I feel like getting another session in. I have to wait for my training on Thursday or just do the single exercises. Why??? AI relies on data so the APP should let me do more exercises/repeat previous sessions. Sometimes the APP freezes and I have quit the app and restart. Happens only once in awhile but annoying. Also. I would like to see a family option where my wife could also benefit so they should consider a family plan. I am going to cancel my membership and try some of the more straightforward apps as this is more work than it needs to be. Would rather focus on exercising vs fiddling around trying to get this app to work for me. Good luck to all of you on your goals..Version: 6.9.0

Do not subscribeI used the introduction offer for 3 months. Decided that the app was not for me and would not be renewing, checked my iPhone subscriptions and saw that there was no further subscriptions. 3 months later, I was charged for another 3 months. On the same day the subscription was renewed I contacted Freeletics. Was informed that they were sorry, but would not be refunding the money for the next 3 months. Be very careful before using this app. Once you subscribe it is very difficult to unsubscribe and you will have to pay the full price..Version: 6.25.0

Nice idea & app, but strange workoutsI’d definitely use the app on the regular basis, if it actually had proper workouts. Those available at least in the free version are questionable. E.g. “full body workouts” that don’t include 50% of big muscle groups. Many also seem unbalanced. Overall workouts are pretty gimmicky - to convince oneself “yes, I’m working out”, although tbh some are hard. Maybe paid version doesn’t have those problems, but nothing in the free app makes that promise. Video content of very good quality other than that. For me this could be a useful reference app - to look up techniques of different exercises..Version: 5.5.0

Really really bad! After going to gym for 4 years now I thought this App might change up the routine a bit. It was so so bad that I cancelled the subscription within 10 minutes. Terrible routines … not straightforward…very very limited. A total waste of money. One of the worst Apps i hav ever come across..Version: 7.48.0

Bad refund and cancellation policiesAnother app just here to make money - it’s not here to help you..Version: 23.31.1

Poor UI, limited informationThis app could be a five star, except… I have to look at my phone way too much. I need audio queues. The start workout UI is confusing. The adapt workout button is placed where a ‘start workout’ or ‘continue workout’ button should be. Also, too much navigation is required to progress from one workout to the next. There are no audible countdown timers before individual timed exercises. If i’m getting into position for a plank, i may not be able to look at my phone. Definitions of reps+weight is unclear: What does it mean to do 20 mountain climbers? 10L+10R, or 20L+20R? What does it mean to rep a 10 lb barbell? is that a 45lb olympic bar with 5lb on each side? 10lb on each side? a different thing that only weighs 10lb? Finally, why am i left to decide how heavy my dumbbells should be? Every time i do a workout i am frustrated by questions of whether i am doing either not enough or too much..Version: 23.10.0

Shady CompanyAny company that doesn’t offer their subscribers a renewal notification don’t care about their subscribers. This company is shady and have zero business ethics. The exercises aren’t great either and vastly overpriced and overrated..Version: 23.41.0

ScamSubscribed a year ago, used the app for like a month, and quit because workouts are repetitive and boring. After a year I was charged another 60euros without receiving any automatic renewal reminder/notification from Freeletics. Asked them for a refund a few minutes after receiving an email from PayPal. They refused to refund. Literally a scam play. PS: I'm pretty sure they won't reply to this review or reply with this generic message: "It's unfortunate that you are having issues. We would appreciate if you would contact us directly via [email here] so that we can investigate further. [cirnge hashtag here]".Version: 6.49.0

Not FreeI downloaded this but you can only get the decent workouts if you pay. I tried Pacer and it has better workout programs for people who don’t wanna pay..Version: 5.20.1

Bring Watch App back100$ per year for removing existing and used features, or in this case the whole app is not acceptable..Version: 22.48.0

There are better apps - also terrible business practicesI downloaded Freeletics and two other home, bodyweight based apps and Centr was by far my favourite. I found the workouts much better, easier to follow and the progression tool was far more effective. The extra content around nutrition, lifestyle etc was excellent on Centr whereas with Freeletics it feels like it’s just there to tick boxes and wasn’t for me. I would still have given Freeletics a 3/5 (Centr is a 5/5) except they automatically renewed by 6 month subscription after I was sure I cancelled the auto renew as soon as I paid for the first 6 months. I was happy to pay for the first 6 months even though I didn’t use it after 2 months but they are refusing to refund me despite me contacting them 2 minutes after I saw the renewal go through. I am also sure I cancelled the auto renewal immediately after sign up but I can’t prove this. Clearly a big part of their business model to get auto renewals and of course there was no warning it was coming so they can maximise the free money they get from people who aren’t using their app. Then refusing to refund when I’m very clearly not going to use it so now I’m paying 12 months when I only used it for 2. Pretty immoral and discussing business practices. Massive thumbs down for Freeletics.Version: 6.39.0

Can’t do a workoutBeen using the app and paying for subscription, but today it won’t let me do a workout. It reports that I have to update, but when I go to the AppStore, it says I already have the latest version. What weird bug is this, it’ll be great if the team at Freeletics fix this ASAP. Enjoying the app though, workouts are good. Would be good if I can actually continue with it 🙃.Version: 6.11.0

No connectivityDoesn't connect to Apple Watch. So essentially useless. Also lacking a surprising amount of basic exercises (triceps push-up, triceps push-down, wide grip pull-ups, skull crushers). Do the people at Freeletics even lift, bro?.Version: 23.24.0

No trial periodHard to say if it’s worth trying out..Version: 5.14.0

ScamI had the same issue as a few other users. I definitely cancelled my subscription on something in the app and didn’t realise I actual had to go on the website. Didn’t use it once in the three months as I thought I cancelled . Then I see an automatic renewal charge in my bank account!! Never received a notification it will renew or anything! Now they tell me they can’t refund which is BS-and against our country consumer laws. Will be contesting . Don’t use this app!!.Version: 7.2.0

Doesn’t even workNever got to go past the sign up area... it kept loading and never ended .. you guys need to fix this issue because i was actually excited to use this app.Version: 4.18

Great workouts - App usability lacksI really like the coach and programs. I think the coach is a bit pricy but I keep working out so it must be working. That being said, I think the app itself can be improved a lot in terms of usability. especially standard gesture control is missing in parts of the menu flows. what annoys me specifically is that after returning from a session segment back into the session overview, the app reloads and jumps back to the top. this feels very clunky and makes it hard for me to browse through the exercises before starting the session. another key thing I don’t understand is why they would kill the apple watch app. isn’t every trend in fit tech going towards wearables? I would like to see my vital functions measured by the app combined with the workout to give me deeper insight into my progress. e.g. how does my heart rate change over time when doing squat jumps consistently? does it change at all? thanks for reading through my feedback.Version: 23.26.0

Auto renewed from website despite cancelling - no refundApp is good if you’re looking to do no weights, even though limited in personalisation imo. I haven’t used the app much at all, tried it for a bit and cancelled as it isn’t for me. I was automatically charged an annual subscription despite cancelling and even after contacting support less than 30mins after the charges occurred, they blankly refused to refund. When there is no use of the app and it’s a clear mistake (from me? Maybe but I didn’t receive any communication at all either of the start of my subscription or its auto renewal clause), showing flexibility instead of taking advantage of unknowing customer would show a great deal what kind of company this is. Would advise caution when downloading..Version: 23.33.0

No refunds.Typically, I find companies who believe in their product will be gracious about offering a refund. If you happen to forget to cancel your subscription before the payment is processed, that’s it. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t used the app and forgot about it, it doesn’t matter if you plan to use it for the next 365 days. This company does not care and won’t act in good faith. I was sending emails to support asking if I could get a refund and got the same, stale answer several times. Never using this again..Version: 7.10.0

Could be awesome, but missing key detailsLove in the in ear coaching through the runs but in the last update the prompts to pay for premium push to the edge of the screen. This means I cannot close the pop up and the only option is to select to pay for coaching and then close out of the next window. This means I lose my workout and all the info, essentially making the app useless for me. I just lost my PB result for a 5km run. Won’t use this app without critical updates..Version: 6.39.0

Careful with your Freeletics subscriptionI found a deal online for a freeletics fitness program and decided to sign up. The exercises and kind of ok (they’re the same exercises all fitness programs offer - even the free ones). I checked the app to see if I had signed up for a subscription, so that I could cancel right away. There wasn’t a “cancel subscription” option, so I figured the fitness program I had signed up for was a 1 time deal - I thought I was all set then. But, just to be safe, I checked my subscriptions on my Iphone (under “manage subscription”) and freeletics was not there. Even small companies will show up under your subscription options - not freeletics. To my surprise I was charged $40 a few months later, even though they make it impossible to cancel and get a refund on recurring payments. You would think that a company trying to hide the “cancel subscription” button would make it easy to get a refund. NOPE! Never even got an email back from them. Let me make your life easier: don’t sign up. The exercises are the same you’ll see on youtube/instagram fitness accounts. I bet most of the revenue from this shady company comes from unwanted/unaware payments that are not refundable..Version: 6.23.1

Autorenewal system should be changedI initially joined and used this 3 years ago. However i sustained an injury to my knee last September and haven’t been able to use it since. Two issues of note 1) When you have a joint injury, the regimes make it difficult to miss out exercises of that type, as it’s body weight focused a lot of the work involved using legs (squats etc). They allow you to make adjustments for muscle soreness but no joint problems. This therefore made the app redundant for me whilst in recovery and doing physiotherapy. 2) my account autorenewed, despite me thinking I had actually cancelled it before. Turns out the autorenewal cancellation didn’t work when I attempted it. They refuse to refund me even though it is clear to them that i have not used to app in months. They claim that it’s clear in the t+c’s that non-refund is their policy, and whilst it is in their t+c’s in a busy modern day life, such details are easily forgotten a year on, and they should make it clearer that they are renewing their policy. They have informed me I will not be getting my money back and I will therefore not be using or recommending this app again,.Version: 7.33.0

Not what it used to be anymoreThis app used to be perfect… but now it’s way too clumsy. Note sure who is designing the user interface nowadays but it’s just too much. Today I spent 30 minutes trying to find where can I change fitness level but couldn’t find it at all. Also, whoever is replying to these comments, PLEASE don’t come at me with the standard “I’m sorry you feel that way” type of reply. Be more proactive, print my comment and send it to the appropriate team, chase them up and make sure they take it seriously. My wife and used to be huge fans of this product but honestly not even sure why to think of it anymore..Version: 7.36.0

Very poor refund policy!!!Be careful with this app, i didn’t receive any notice of my subscription renewal. They mention that it’ impossible to request a refund afterwards, even 3 days after the renewal. After that, trying to contact them on their website is impossible. A very bad practice on their part. 👎.Version: 23.45.1

Subscription issuesI’m currently disputing payments from Freeletics due to charging me for the past 12 months without me using the app. I used for 3 months, it was great and cancelled due to hitting goals. I unsubscribed on my iPhone, as I did with Sweat - the Kayla Itsines App. It seemed to work fine with Sweat, however, here I am a very long time after being charged for a service I have not been using. Unlike other Apps, this did not have a reminder that the subscription with renew automatically. The response was, I needed to log in on Freeletics and unsubscribe, therefore because I had accepted the TC’s, a refund will not be paid. Once I told them I’ve gone to Fair Trade, I’m now being refunded for the most recent payment. Not good enough. Why would I need to go onto Freeletics when I should just be able to complete on my subscriptions. You have now lost me as a customer. Just a disgusting way to take people’s money..Version: 6.15.0

Deceptive Auto-renewal PracticeFirst off, this is a decent app. I bought a 1-year subscription at the start of the pandemic in March 2020. I used it a little, but ended up using another app for in-home workouts. Now that gyms have reopened in my area as of fall 2020, I stopped using apps. Having said that, the way this auto-renews automatically is extremely deceptive. They do not send you an e-mail before it is scheduled to auto-renew for another year. Mine just renewed again for another year. After contacting support to reverse the charge and prorate it, I was told they cannot do that. I’ve never dealt with a company that cannot reverse a charge and prorate an auto-renewal. Even the king of sleazy auto-renewals, SiriusXM, will prorate your cancellation if you ask to have something cancelled immediately. Frankly, I’d steer clear of this app and use something with more transparent billing practices like Apple Fitness+ or something. That at least bills monthly..Version: 7.10.0

Pls sort out the latest version of the app!Used Freeletics for 4 years - I do love it and the exercises, but please can you work on the app… Each time you finish a segment of a workout (warm up, skills etc) it takes you to the top of the main page and you need to scroll down to the next segment workout every time. Also the slightly greyed dots for the days of the week are confusing - is that a workout done? A workout yet to do? And it doesn’t count any workouts you do separately as part of your weekly, for example I selected to do 3 workouts one week, I did two pre selected and then independently chose Charon as I was away, but the app still says I haven’t finished the ‘3 workouts for the week’ and doesn’t count towards perfect week. Small things, but painful when the app used to be so much better..Version: 23.17.0

SAVE YOUR MONEY Lacking in a lot of waysThe pros: has a large library of exercise movements. The cons: too numerous to list them all. The worst is the algorithm that doesn't adjust when weight is too heavy. It keeps the weight the same. Anyvlifter familiar with 5x5(which some of the workouts follow) understand what to do if you fail multiple times. This app doesn't do it. inability to edit workouts properly. I tried to tell the app I didn't have the equipment and it kept insisting I do the exercise. I edited the exercise and it reverts back to the original. Inability to do a completely different workout when you inform the app you can't move a body part. I dislocated my shoulder and could only work legs. The app won't account for that. The app does increments that my gym can't accommodate. The workouts insist you do their cardio but I do my own cardio outside of the app by way of sports and running. The app doesn't allow you to input this or skip over those workout. It keeps pushing the workout to the next day. You can't turn the screen off or it will pause or even skip your rest period. When you open your phone it counts down from 5 even if you had 1 1/2 a minute left. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still is full of bugs. I can keep going but it's too much to type on a phone. The watch app is even worse than this if you can believe it..Version: 6.39.0

Don’t make a mistake “Athlete”Forgot to cancel my subscription. Advised them within the first five minutes of them charging me and they responded with “we don’t do refunds 🤷‍♂️” with a link to their “terms”. Don’t make a mistake about cancelling, they don’t actually care about you or your finances. The world is so expensive right now and $130 goes a long way in the bank account. For them to just brush you off, especially when you’ve been a customer since 2019 is absolutely shameful. They could refund you, they just don’t want to. This completely deterred me from ever using this app again. Be careful, if you make any sort of mistake they will not refund you. 0/5 stars.Version: 23.37.0

So many problemsGetting less and less worth the subscription. Watch support is gone. Even when you download your workouts you can’t do workouts offline all the time. Help chat doesn’t work. Developer doesn’t to support emails. Not worth the money anymore.Version: 23.18.0

Read The Fine PrintSubscription doesn’t show up in your Apple Account so if you thought you could manage your subscriptions from there you’re out of luck. No communication to let you know a renewal is happening. Used the app for a month and year later have been hit with a $120 subscription renewal that they won’t refund despite my contacting them immediately. The app itself was not great. Despite selecting weights workouts it would only ever show running so I never really got any benefit from it..Version: 22.46.0

Good exercises, poor usabilityWhile in general I’m enjoying the exercises and programs, the app itself feels clunky in comparison to its largest competitors. Not a deal breaker, but it can be frustrating when out and about and your having to individual click download on exercise videos. Another oddity is that I find the apps audio queues quite limited. I’d love to see rep counts, and exercise names being included in the audio prompts. Asana Rebel feels way more refined..Version: 23.10.0

Auto renew without warningI haven’t used this application in 10 months. It automatically renewed itself without any warning. When going through the contract it states that at the beginning of the 14 days of a contract you can cancel. I went through their support process and they state that this 14 days doesn’t count for renewals. So the 14 day period is null and void as they start you with a free account. Even though the purchase of this subscription would be a new contract they deem this as continued and not new. Incredibly dissatisfied with the application as a whole relative to the price point..Version: 22.30.0

Repetitive WorkoutsI feel that the workouts are very repetitive and some of the are very boring. I also believe that when you give feedback on workouts it is not reflected back on your following weeks’ workout plan. Furthermore I have been following the programme very strictly but I have not seen much difference In my appearance. I have one week of shred and burn journey, and before starting this the description detailed what I should look for which was athletic look, and I’m sorry to say this but I do not see an athletic look :(. I think if you are looking to get fit then yes it’s really good but if you are looking to change the way you look I believe this is not the programme you should follow..Version: 5.37.1

Watch for the chargeI bought my subscription through the App Store (I have proof of that) and cancel 2 years later 5 days before renewal time again through the App store. They still managed to charge me (6 days after renewal time?) and now won’t reimburse me!! They are being sneaky, maybe just don’t subscribe to make sure you don’t loose money in the end. EDIT: I had called Apple Store and they said they couldn’t do anything since they were not the one who charged me. Freeletic directly charged on my credit card, not through the Apple store. I did contact directly Freeletic afterwards who told me they couldn’t reimburse me for ??? No reasons. I was within their 7 days for cancellation but they refused to cancel and reimburse me. I then tried to file a complaint at the European Consumer protection but they couldn’t do anything since I do not live in Europe (it seems that Freeletic is based in Germany). Anyway, I called my credit card company (Capitol One) to say I had an unauthorized charge and they reimbursed me. A lot of hassle, not worth their exercises..Version: 7.16.0

Disappointing but has potentialI’ll start by saying that an app will obviously never be a direct replacement for an actual personal trainer, and so that isn’t a factor in this review. Where this app falls down is the “customisation”. Selecting “improve fitness” or “build muscle” is just far too generic of a “customisation”. I myself have rounded shoulders, and am unable to perform most overhead push exercises as a result. However I can’t have this factored into my workouts and routines. Having the ability to filter out specific movement types, or to be able to factor in some form of progression for these movements would be highly useful. Disappointing but definitely has potential..Version: 5.24.0

Was a great app until…Have really loved this app up until they started pushing the coach and paying. In the most recent update they took away most of the free features and god workouts and scaled down what you are able to access without paying. Disappointed that greed got the best of the developers..Version: 23.11.0

Nothing Is FreeAlthough it advertised otherwise, nothing is actually free on this app. It kept telling me to do my first workout and each time I selected the link, it asked me to pay for a subscription. So what I want to know is: since I have almost every known physical disability known to mankind, what coach would I be getting for my money? Since rehabilitation and hospitals haven’t been able to do any better, nor manage the chronic pain, how is this app going to do any better? I don’t think anyone thought about those things before creating an unbiased application and/or service. It doesn’t state so I’m the App Store description, but I’ll mention/make others aware of it... this app and service is PTSD unfriendly, including unfriendly to the mentally/psychologically and physically disabled. No one seems to be qualified in being able to help you (especially when they don’t have an understanding of how our bodies work differently to healthy ones), and they don’t even provide services suited for/to you or your needs. Greed is one of the ugly parts of humanity!.Version: 5.8.0

Apple Watch? What kind of nonsense allows them to continuously advertise that their app works with Apple Watch when it doesn’t? How many people have bought this app assuming it works with the Watch because their advertising says it does. False advertising at the very least..Version: 23.39.0

Waaaay harder in easy mode than it should be.This app will run you through a warmup that’s already a decent workout for a beginner and then tell you to do 50 burpees and sit-ups and jumps. In really really easy mode. I can run 10 miles no problem, but this being the easy workout with no option to incrementally make moves harder starting from something reasonable is ridiculous. I can only imagine how many people quit and delete the app after the first workout. What a terrible coach mode. Also no advice on how to proceed if you feel it’s waaaaay beyond your ability. -edit, your request for me to contact your support email instead of posting my opinion here is bogus. Do the legwork yourself and send my detailed review to your support email on your own. You don’t need more info from me. Try harder. Feel free to have your support people contact me when they’ve fixed the issues I pointed out..Version: 6.27.1

This app snoops your clipboard on launchI have been using Freeletics mainly because it seems to offer more for free than many of the other fitness apps on the App Store. However, I have just discovered a little “feature” implemented by the devs that made me uninstall immediately. If you own a Mac, you know you can copy and paste over the cloud. When you paste text from your Mac on your phone, it brings up a dialog box that says a paste is in progress. Well, I had copied an admin secret on my Mac, and I opened Freeletics to a big dialog box on launch, saying the app had pasted the contents of my clipboard. In shock, I closed out the app, copied some text on my Mac, and relaunched Freeletics to see that — sure enough — the app automatically pasted clipboard contents on launch. Knowing the app would snoop on users data so secretively and malicious made it so I couldn’t trust this app at all on my devices, or the devices of my family..Version: 6.27.1

No renewal reminders, atrocious customer serviceI downloaded the app a year ago, used it about three times, deleted it since it didn’t work for me. I thought I’d cancelled it at the time, but it must have not worked. Cut to about 360 days later - I got an email saying I’d been charged another €80 for another year, with no warning whatsoever. I contact support, and they send me a automated reply (disguised as a personalised email). I respond expressing my disappointment in being charged again with no warning, and in receiving an automated response, to being charged a significant amount of money with no warning. The response included a very surprising line “ At Freeletics we try to be as fair and transparent as possible with our users. “. Fair and transparent is to send a renewal reminder, as is industry standard, and not to quote blanket policy about not offering refunds on unused renewals. Effectively they are saying that had I cancelled two days ago it would have been fine, but today is not fine. That is not at all fair. There are a number of free at home workouts these days. Stay far away from this company..Version: 7.6.0

UX can be improvedI love freeletics and have used it for years, but the UX of the Coach screen is annoying me every time I use the app. - The screen constantly shows a loading spinner as you go in and out of exercises, which slows down the whole experience. - The "Adapt session" pill floating on the bottom of the screen should be replaced with a "next exercise" pill. This would avoid having to constantly scroll down the page again just to tap into the next exercise. The "Adapt session" action should instead be part of the settings section. - It should be possible to pre-load all required videos of a workout. When you do tap to download a video, the download takes ages and even stops when you scroll the exercise out of view. Super annoying. - For timed exercises, the countdown bar has very bad contrast and is hard to see due to its low height. Incorporating colours and a different thickness would make this more accessible..Version: 22.46.0

StupidStupid app not free so change your name.Version: 5.14.0

Do not subscribeAny company that is not willing to refund an auto renewal on the day it auto renews should be avoided at all costs. There’s no reminders, no contact what so ever. It’s as if they want you to forget to hoodwink you into another 12 months. Customer services is appalling. I had a issue with the app which kept not syncing my work outs. They just told me it was my fault. Please please do not subscribe to this company. If there’s a problem you won’t get your money back!!! Update reply Most good companies operate a fair policy and send out reminders that the subscription is going to renew. This allows you to confirm that you still want to continue. Very simple email reminders that can easily be automated. Sadly this company does not..Version: 7.16.0

So boring, rip offNot a fun way to train, there are way better apps. Need verbal guidance on the exercises, you aren’t going to bother looking them up before you exercise. Little variation of exercises, just high reps. Shoot me now They also don’t warn you when they are about to take your money. I stopped using this app after a couple of sessions, tried to cancel my subscription (which you can’t do on your phone you have to go to the website) , forgot about it and now they’ve taken my money and won’t refund it..Version: 5.24.0

Just another click baitSo before we do this review, I want to say that I haven't gone as far as actually using the app for doing exercises. They may do exceptional plans but I would not know. However, I have an issue with anybody using the term ‘free’ in their company name when nothing is actually free. It’s click bait and false advertising. I signed up and although I was not expecting anything to be completely free, I was expecting maybe a taster or something like that first. But nope, nothing. They take all your personal details and then after they have all those details do they then tell you that this is not ’free’letics at all. They take all that personal information ready to spam you and only then do they tell you that you have to subscribe to payments to access anything. I have no doubt this company is good and what they offer is good, the 4.5* rating on the App Store is enough to tell you that. But the way the go about it is completely wrong. It tricks you into thinking it is something it is not. Even the AppStore doesn’t give you the warning that it involves ‘in app purchasing’ because of the way they have gone about it all. It’s clever but it is sneaky and I don’t like the way that the company is taking advantage of people in this way to bait people into using their services. What a shame..Version: 6.15.0

Good App, Awful Renewal PolicyI joined Freeletics in Nov 2019 with a ‘50% off 12 months’ Black Friday deal and I enjoyed using the app for most of that year. I stopped using it in Aug 2020 and was sure I had cancelled my subscription. I have just been charged for a 3rd(!) 12 month block after not noticing the first renewal in Nov 2020. That’s around £230 that I have lost from this. I received no emails during that time to indicate I still had an active membership or any warnings that my auto renewal was due. Their policy is that they do not offered refunds on auto renewals, refunds are only available with 14 days of your initial signup. I actually can’t believe this is legal. Going by previous reviews, I am not the first person this is happened to and I doubt I will be the last. Be warned..Version: 7.46.0

Need to improve on diversity and inclusionI'm on my second week of using this app. Enjoying it so far, especially the coaching option because it keeps me going, reminding me and telling me that giving up it’s not an option. So far checked all the recommended exercises for two weeks and feeling quite pumped to get ahead. However, I would like more options for choosing images to ensure more diversity and inclusivity for the people of different faiths. For example, as a Muslim I would prefer different types of images of the models showing the exercises. If those options are available I would happily rate it five stars..Version: 22.52.0

Short of coaching featuresThe workouts in the app aren’t bad. But there is zero coaching. If you’re a beginner, do a few sessions with a personal trainer before you touch this app. There are no coaching or technique tips, just some videos which don’t really show crucial points like “make sure you engage your core” or “keep your knees softly bent” and similar. It would be very easy to make some painful and costly mistakes if you solely rely on this app. From a usability point of view it’s poor too, there’s no audio aside from a 5 second countdown so you always need to be able to see your screen to know what to do next. Wouldn’t be difficult to put an audio cue that says “up next, 20 crunches”. Also on exercises with two sides like lunges it’s not clear whether the number of reps are per side or total alternating sides. A small thing but just annoying. I also have the Nike Training Club app which is totally free and ad free, and has all of these features including full training programmes. Get that instead and don’t waste your money on this..Version: 7.38.0

Great but,Can you guys add an option to add notes at the end of each session for tracking of some things that we should work on and any extra exercises that we did with volume for that exercises.Version: 23.29.0

Buyer bewareThe app is pretty good however their subscription practices are downright predatory. After paying for a promo period of 6months, I was automatically subscribed to another 6months at a hefty fee. While this is common practice to auto-renew, what was nearly impossible to track was subscription terms/dates. The app does not continue any of this info, nor does the App Store. You have to login on your computer to get any information about your subscription which is a shady way to hide this. Further, there is no warning email as a courtesy of your impending renewal. Here is the thing: I didn’t ask for a full refund, just the nutrition portion since I never use the service but they refused, cementing a negative review and churning customer..Version: 6.03.0

Not for beginners at all!I was really disappointed in this app after downloading it so I could work out with friends. I’m pretty unfit but I was determined to try, and the app says it caters for all skill levels, so imagine my surprise when I clicked on the “beginner” workout and was confronted with 75 reps each of sit-ups, push-ups and weird climber things. 75!! Even one climber is not something a beginner could be expected to manage! This app assumes a baseline skill level of somewhere around an intermediate athlete. Don’t even bother if you’re a beginner, it’s just demoralising and a waste of time. It’s not even possible to adjust the workouts to suit your skill level. There are far better apps out there..Version: 6.11.0

Fun, like the coach but needs more customisationThe journeys are really nice although it’s difficult to distinguish what some of them are. Some of the names are gimmicky. What is “Balanced fat burn?” given that there is no sure fire way to get your body to burn fat on demand? What is “Fit and toned”? You can’t get “toned”, it’s a misnomer. Now the coach has improved a lot over the years and at the moment it seems to adapt really well. I like the structured programs and what I have seen so far is fairly balanced. The bodyweight part of the app is really good, and even though some people have commented that the bodyweight exercises are just push ups and crunches remixed, they are quite wrong. There is a logical order to those exercises, programming has nothing to do with inventing moves, it’s about how you put them together. I like that you have options to modify workouts based on things like being too sore, not having a lot of time, needing to be quiet etc. However I really wish they’d let you skip certain exercises. I just can’t do certain exercises because of past injury. Skipping muscle groups is not enough: I don’t need to skip muscle groups, I just have to avoid specific movements. That would really go a long way towards avoiding/training around injuries..Version: 6.33.0

It works! Just not effective. Just call this Burpeelectics.Randomly throw out Burpees here and there. I mean warmup? Seriously. This is not AI based training program… This is just a random restaurant combo generator..Version: 23.50.1

I very rarely write reviews but…This app just absolutely annoyed me. Every two seconds theres an ad that pops up trying to get me to subscribe. On top of that its not beginner friendly whatsoever. I made a workout plan, as well as set boundaries for what I do/not have. Such as a pull up bar and yet it was added into my exercises anyway. I get through my warm up decently okay, but then in my actual exercise they put several exercises I can not do. If i cant walk up a few flight of stairs then what makes you think I can do spiderman pushups? I cant even do a pushup to begin with. And on top of that I couldnt replace them with workouts that I can do, nor could I restart my workout to choose a different plan. It only gave me the option to “continue” the workout. Its so hard to find an actual beginner friendly or no equipment workout app. I thought I found one based on reviews but Ive been flubbed. The only thing I actually liked about it is you can pick between different exercise plans to make ur plan for your session..Version: 23.22.0

Why Is it not freeThis app seems extremely helpful in the process of you either losing weight or gaining muscle the only thing that stood out was the fact that its call 'Freeletics' but you have to pay for a subscription.Version: 5.16.0

For dedicated athletes and self-starters onlyThis app highlights the dangers of using artificial intelligence instead of a certified personal trainer to program workouts. If you’re a beginner, you’ll discover that the assessments are not geared to your level, which will force you to tell the AI over and over that it’s too much for you before it will get the hint. Plus, mobility issues are not taken into account, so if your range of motion doesn’t allow for what your so-called coach wants you to do, you’re stuck. Worst of all, you don’t have access to a certified professional who can answer your questions and help you figure out how to bust plateaus. If motivation isn’t an issue for you this MIGHT be an option, but everybody else would do better to pay for an actual CPT who will listen to your specific needs first and work with you from there..Version: 23.6.0

Good but glitchyI have been using Freeletics for about four weeks now. I like the training journey I’m on, but I’m disappointed that the app isn’t sophisticated enough to suggest weights for any of the out-of-journey exercises it encourages you to do; it just tells you the reps and leaves you to guess at the weights yourself, which inevitably means you don’t make the most of the reps. The app is also very glitchy. It stops and whirs a lot, and if you don’t have internet signal (my gym is in a 5G black spot and the wifi is very weak) it tells you that you can still train — but won’t show you any of the exercises you’re meant to be doing without an internet connection. Really it ought to download the whole workout at the start so that if you lose signal you can still keep going. My half hour session took forty five minutes today because I kept having to go and hold my phone at the window..Version: 23.5.0

Terrible & inconsiderate service.I have used this app ever since it was still free and I have mentioned it to friends and have liked it for years now. I bought the 3 month program at its full price on the 1st of april but haven’t had the chance to even start the program. Haven’t even pressed the ‘continue’ button at the start page. I then received an email at the 17th of may telling me that my subscription will expire on the 30th of June. Now, I was surprised cause I haven’t started the program and was never informed that it starts upon paying. If I had known, I could have started right away. I emailed them asking if I could have my subscription moved since I’ve never even used it and so I could have my money’s worth but they wouldn’t let me unless I had a medical certificate. I just feel like I’ve been scammed now because they won’t even consider. I think its only fair that I am to get what I paid for..Version: 5.23.0

Major fall from graceThis used to be the best workout app out there. Then they got rid of the Apple Watch feature now you always need to have your phone out or you need to interact with your phone during your workouts. You can’t even monitor your runs anymore unless you pull out your phone. It’s the worst. Make it the best again..Version: 23.28.0

Where did workout of the week go?!I loved the fact that the free version had a new workout of the week for me to try/preview to get a feel for the app and what I would encounter if I paid for a subscription. Suddenly, on the most recent app update it disappeared. Why?.Version: 23.15.0

Pros and ConsI used to love this app but over the past few months the Coach doesn't seem to work as well in terms of responding to soreness feedback and your overall training (ie if you’ve taken significant time off it no longer adapts). I’ve been a paid subscriber for years and it’s just not what it used to be anymore. I reached out to support earlier this year and they brushed me off. I reached out again recently after the app caused an old knee injury to flare up again with screen recordings of my issues and everything and it’s been over three weeks without a response. Disappointed after loving this app for years and will probably look into other options. Update: They responded to this review within days but I still haven’t heard back on my inquiry. Another update: I followed up on both inquiries that were unanswered and never received a response on either but they continue to respond to this review asking me to email them. I have, repeatedly..Version: 6.37.1

No longer opens, crashes on startup.Nice, short, high intensity workouts; but I haven't been able to get the app to open for a while now without crashing on startup (iPhone 6). Unless this is fixed soon I'll have to look for something better..Version: 3.3

Horrible customer service and predatory automatic renewalsHorrible customer service and predatory automatic renewals. They are a multi million dollar company willing to take money unapologetically and without warning from their customers (in the middle of a pandemic no less) based on a technicality which I immediately tried to rectify. I bought a year’s subscription because gyms were closed during 2020. I stopped using the app when gyms reopened here in Australia. A few days ago my annual subscription auto renewed. I got an email after the fact, but no reminder leading up to it. I emailed customer support within an hour asking if they would refund it because I didn’t realise it would auto renew and I hadn’t used it for a while and wasn’t going to use it going forward. They said no. I asked again politely and still no. I understand this would have been in the t’s and c’s and the onus is on me to cancel in advance. However, I still think this is a horrible way to treat customers and speaks volumes about who they are as a company. There was no friendly reminder email that an auto renewal was coming up soon and that I would need to take action to cancel if I wanted. That’s an easy automated email from their CRM and is the right thing to do. They’ve lost a customer for life and I will recommend against it whenever it comes up in conversation with friends..Version: 7.11.0

Blessures ?!?Je suis votre entraînement à la lettre assidûment avec ma conjointe et il nous arrive de nous blesser les mêmes parties du corps Je commence à penser que certains programmes sont mal conçus ….Version: 24.11.2

Terrible business practice (stealing from customers)I stopped using Freeletics over six months ago. I forgot to let them know I wanted to cancel my yearly subscription. I Got charged yesterday to renew my subscription and reached out asking for a refund because I don’t need it and haven’t used the app in months. This is their reply. Essentially: “too slow! Sorry but your loss we don’t care.” Is this for real? Thank you for your response. It is stated in our T&Cs in 7.3.: "In order to avoid any misunderstanding, please note that the term of a subscription is determined by calendar and is independent from your use or extent of your use of the respective Freeletics Service." T&Cs are part of the contract and therefore applicable and it does not matter if the Coach is used or not. As we explained in our previous answer, the automatic renewal of your subscription was clearly stated on the subscription page as well as in our T&Cs. As we have not registered any cancellation request or received any message in this sense prior this renewal, a refund is unfortunately not possible. Our subscription policy is strict and once the renewal is completed, we can only process your request for the next renewal date. If you do not wish to take advantage of the voucher, we will leave your subscription active, and it will definitely end once its current period has expired. Thank you for your understanding,.Version: 24.10.2

Decent app, poor serviceThe app is pretty good. On par with other solid options. But I had a bad experience with support. My account suddenly ended, even though the App Store confirmed I was paid up for a year. Was nearly impossible to get support. After months I finally got help a few days before my subscription officially expired. They fixed it and immediately asked me to pay again…as if I would actually do that. So it’s a 4 star on fitness, 1 star on service..Version: 23.52.0

App crashes instantlyThis app ran fine before the most recent update for supposed 'bug fixes' now it crashes as soon as I try to open it. So it went from fine to completely useless..Version: 3.1.2

Badly designedDoesn’t have the most obvious thing - voiceover instructions so you don’t have to keep looking at your phone while trying to exercise. Even the free apps have thought of this. You can’t go backwards during a routine to check something you missed (because there was no voiceover!) It doesn’t change ANYTHING regardless of the info you give it about your preferences or limitations. I was really looking forward to using this but I guess I was sucked in by the slick marketing because the app itself is a ... FAIL :(.Version: 5.20.0

I want to 5* this so badBut I can’t. My number one and only complaint is that I cannot run the app if the Freeletics can’t see the internet. Being deployed in a “austere” location I am often subjected to limited to no internet or cellular connection. Without those, the app freezes or won’t load. I have had internet drop in the middle of a timed workout only to have my progress lost or I am forced to restart the workout, which loses my progress. The mental struggle is already real, little things like this get huge quickly. This app would get 5 star for the ease of use, the natural flow of the workouts from week to week, the highly customizable and hassle free setup from one week to the next. Fix it so we can use this app 100% offline. You are losing money, I have at least 5 other soldiers who won’t buy this because of the connectivity issues..Version: 5.21.0

Good app, but needs apple watch supportGreat app, was subscribed for 3 years and developed more strength, stamina and flexibility. I can now do one-handed pushups, and it’s to a large part thanks to the algorithm pushing me repeatedly to progress. I loved being able to use the apple watch feature, as it made the workouts a lot more smooth and I didn’t have to swipe my phone constantly. Unfortunately since this feature has been removed I’ve found trying to go back to swiping my phone between each set too frustrating, so have cancelled my subscription. Good personalised workout app otherwise, but I am disappointed by the loss of the apple watch feature.Version: 22.51.0

Not freeI want to unsubscribe from email tips and free lyrics ain’t free there are no free work out programming I was like yeah buddy then oh oh really I’ve gotta pay.Version: 5.16.0

Good but room for improvementI did the initial coach recommendation questionnaire on my laptop (which I wouldn’t pay much heed to - it gave completely different answers for the same input...). Anyhow. Got a subscription, downloaded the app and dove into week 1 of my programme. Just finished all 5 days, psyched to start week 2, then get a popup about these same new 6/12 week long courses... Which directs me to the same questionnaire again, and gives me the same list of options. So that’s a bit annoying, as makes the past week feel a bit pointless - I had already chosen a programme and now my progress doesn’t seem to contribute to anything! I also take issue with the choice of personnel for the videos. Can’t we do better than having men do demos of all the power exercises whilst women just do the „fall back options“ and stretches? And the only Asian person I’ve seen so far was the model for the Video showing you how to take a 30s break, which doesn’t even download? But content and approach wise, it does seem to work well. Feature requests - Apple Watch compatibility - ability to say in the settings NO MUSIC in the videos! I play my own music, and it’s annoying to have the same theme tune come up every time I watch a new exercise, and to then manually mute it in the top right of the Video Player.Version: 5.14.0

Your mileage may varyI'm kind of conflicted on this one. On the one hand the workouts can be very good, and the right kind of challenge. On the other hand, it often tries to push far too much eg I told it that a workout with 30 sprawls was too much (I'm not in the best shape ATM), now it's given me a workout that has 50 sprawls in the first round, and 40 in the second. It also keeps giving me HH stand ups, despite the fact that I can't do a single one (a flexibility issue). Also it is a bit over keen on abs curls - these can really do your back in if you are not careful.Version: 4.18

Latest app just freezes even after updatingAs said above.Version: 22.7.0

Good, personalisation needs workI’ve been a paid subscriber for over six months. I like the format of the workouts - I’ve completed dumbbell gains at Christmas - and I’m looking forward to starting the barbell basics tomorrow. The biggest problem is the personalisation. New exercises are not based on current performance, so every time I saw a new exercise added to my workout programme, the defaults were too high. For example: the barbell programme starts tomorrow. I have told the app I’ve never lifted a barbell before. What’s my first workout? 4 sets, 10 reps, 65KG back squats. I already know I don’t stand a chance of doing that. This can be adjusted via coach feedback, but it’s incredibly irritating, demoralising, and potentially very dangerous, to be presented with a new workout that I won’t be able to do safely (if at all). I suspect this will lead me to a different app when my current subscription period is up. A shame, because the rest of the experience is great; just undermined by poor exercise default selection..Version: 23.51.0

Generally ok but could do with some tweaksI think generally this is a great app though a little on the expensive side as it’s a simple algorithm that can lead to some frustration. I find it very irritating that when you have a workout/interval that is focused on a particular area of the body or very heavily on one exercise, the drills either side are also of that same exercise. For example one workout asks for 30x lunges, 30x burpees, 30x leg raises and the preceding warmup and drill is more burpees. It becomes both repetitive and also a strain on one body area. There is also a tendency to jump from a manageable workout to massively high rotations of one action. One day it went from around 60 squats spread over a workout to 180. This jump is too big in terms of a single action. I think the drills should be a little different from the main interval and I would much prefer longer workouts that are more varied in the exercises even when focusing on one area of the body..Version: 5.43.1

Please add to Roku or apple boxPlease allow people to add this to their smart tv devices and work out at home. Trying to use this just on my phone is hard.Version: 23.7.0

Not goodThe app itself is ok and I used it intermittently for around 6 months. Some features didn’t work well for me, not being able to skip exercises or warms up for example and not being able to adjust the weight if too heavy/light to a defined weight, instead you just have to say it is too heavy/light and it randomly offers up a revised weight on the next set The worst however is the auto renewal, which is a minefield for turning off and clearly made to be harder than it needs to be to deter people from cancelling. I was just charged another year’s subscription despite trying to cancel and even now I can’t work out how to cancel as it keeps trying to direct me to iTunes even though that isn’t where I subscribed from Poor.Version: 23.17.0

GPS feature needs to be improved for iPhonesThe app’s use of the GPS on iPhones is very poor. All other apps that use the GPS on my iPhone have no issues whatsoever but Freeletics keeps miscalculating distances. It sometimes even says the GPS reception is poor when I’m outside on a sunny day in the middle of a park. It is very frustrating to be told your average pace is 3 minutes per kilometre when you know that’s not true... it really affects the experience....Version: 6.49.0

***SUBSCRIPTIONS CAUTION!! AVOID!!******BEWARE! Approach subscriptions and auto renewal with extreme caution. Freeletics don’t send notifications of renewal payment being taken imminently, as is the norm with any other company. If you set up your account online, not via the App Store on your phone, the subscription won’t appear on your phones list of subscriptions either, so it’s easy for it to pass undetected. If you have selected auto renewal, (more fool me), it will only be when your bank tells you the funds have been taken that you will be notified, by which time it’s too late. Freeletics refuse to refund renewals, and quote small print in their T&Cs. I have paid 2 subsequent full years of subs before I realised, and I don’t even use the app. Customer services just quote their small print. Not even prepared to meet me half way. Much better alternatives out there, who don’t treat their customers so cynically..Version: 22.31.0

Love this app - but some suggestions to improveThis is a great workout app - I’ve been using for 3 years and love it. The workouts are great and I think it’s worth the subscription for sure. These are just a few thoughts for the app devs for some “bugs” and improvements which would take the app to the next level: 1. Improving the workout tracking - ex. There are times the app has accidentally been X’d out while I’m doing a workout and I lose all the progress, then have to start from the beginning (or skip through to where I left off). It would be great if there was a way to keep the workout progress even if you X out and can continue so you don’t lose progress. 2. Keeping notes for your workouts - it would be great if there was a button for notes where the user can write in their progress/notes for each workout. It’s just helpful for personal tracking and can help bring the experience to the next level. 3. The subscription pop up’s — so I have a subscription, but every time I workout I get a pop up for subscribing (although I have the highest subscription already). It can just interrupt the workout because I’ll be in the middle of a workout and then it pops up and blocks the exercise I’m on. I also feel it takes up more unnecessary battery having to click it off every 5-10 minutes. Anyways — that’s just some feedback, but LOVE the app and would easily give it 5 stars if these things improved!.Version: 23.5.0

Disinterested customer supportI’ve had a few goes at Freeletics. I like the idea of it and guns bore me so this seemed a good fit. I preferred the earlier versions of the app though. Recent updates over the past few years have really taken the shine off the whole experience. I preferred when gym, running and bodyweight were separated. The current app feels cumbersome and I’m never sure where I am in the app. So, I haven’t used it for most the past year and was so convinced I’d cancelled the auto renewal that I was shocked to find a huge debit from Blum bank - with no prior warning. Many apps will send an email a few days before to warn you your subscription is about to renew. I had nothing from Freeletics except a large payment leave my account. I reached out to support and explained that I’d had no warning and genuinely thought I’d already cancelled. I was sure they’d understand. The payment from my bank account is still pending but I’ve just had an email to say they won’t be refunding me. I can’t begin to describe how disappointed I am in their stance on this..Version: 7.44.0

Great app but watch features limitedI’ve enjoyed going through the content on here. It’s got plenty of stuff to keep you interested. My only complaint is that you need the iPhone tied to you in order to keep on with your program. I tend to use my watch more than the phone but when I’m out somewhere I’d like to use the app and fire it up on the watch it asks me to choose a program on my phone! I’d like video support and more content straight from the watch without being tied to the phone. Spot on with everything else though..Version: 6.19.0

Not worth the moneyFor a $130 annual fee this app has much to improve on. No keto or dairy-free options … no gluten free options either!!! In 2023 these are almost a must ! Not a very wide selection of meals …. Some are nearly the same with the fruit or vegetables exchanged …. The training program is better but you can get more in-depth programs that adapt better to you for less cash …. And if you have an issue they have terrible customer service …. Don’t waste your money on this app !!!!.Version: 23.33.0

Major bugs right nowMajor bugs with app right now. Whole account was deleted somehow..Version: 24.8.1

Not what you expect.Firstly, I downloaded this app after reading the App Store story about Freeletics. Don’t let the name make you download this app because it’s not completely free. However, I did try using the full version, paying for three months. Another let down is how they tell you that you can do it anywhere. If “anywhere” means full access to internet. Sometimes images won’t load and you can’t see what exercises you need to do (even though they show it in the summary page, it won’t show at the main exercise page). If you don’t have data, the app will experience problems and won’t sync your run hence you’ll have to log it manually. Or if your internet is slow, you won’t be able to see how to do the exercises. Lastly, If you’re a pro, you’ll still have to have your phone beside you at all times as you have to swipe right to move to the next exercise. My final verdict is that it isn’t as glamorous as it looks. Kind of a let down. I think paying for the premium Fitbit Coach is better..Version: 5.14.0

Beware difficult to cancel subscriptionFeel scammed by this app, it auto renews annually without notice or warning and even if you ask to cancel on the same day you are charged, and haven't been using it they still wont refund you..Version: 23.46.2

Starts well ends badlySo the coach subscription was great to start with because it seemed pitched at my level after doing the fitness tests and the first 5 to 6 weeks were ideal. Not crazy difficult, not too time consuming, could fit it into my day and notice results. However beyond this point the difficulty curve became way too much for me which resulted in most workouts taking upwards of an hour and a half to complete which was neither necessary nor motivating, they could easily have been half as many reps and still been challenging and demanding. I tried redoing my fitness test but again the rep count was crazy high and I think the algorithms were just shot at that point. I’m going to reboot it and start from scratch again and if the same thing happens I’ll cancel my coach subscription and go it alone. Otherwise if you’re looking for a bank of workouts to pick from this is a good library of routines of various difficulty levels..Version: 4.31

NopeCalled “Freeletics” but nothing in the app can be used for free. No trial. Nothing to sample - just “give us a bunch of money and cross your fingers”. Registration and a bunch of personal info required to start the app. Shortest subscription is 3 months. Classic bait and switch..Version: 6.15.0

NopeOnly thing free is wasting your time if your smart enough never to subscribe to monthly $$$ apps. Read the reviews complaint after complaint about refunds and subscription practices. just go to youtube thousands upon thousands of free workout vids.Version: 23.6.0

AVOID: Shady rolling subscription serviceDidn’t inform me of any renewal and significant price increase. Instructions to cancel membership aren’t clear and not dyslexia friendly. Requested a refund but denied it, only replied with a copy and past email stating I need to send a Drs note, which could offer me some ‘bonus days’ (?). Found the app itself un-engaging . The audio was robotic and the animations weren’t clear. I found WithU far clearer to use, the coaches are more engaging and the instructions actually feel like a coach is talking to you. Dodgy experience with these folks. Avoid if possible. Even the name is misleading - definitely nothing free with them! Take a look at a lot of comments. Lots of disappointed customers who have been conned by this very dodgy business practice..Version: 22.15.0

Not impressed. It took several minutes to set up by giving personal information, which would be fine if the information was used in any positive way. For example, I checked quiet exercises and half of the exercises are jumping exercises..Version: 24.8.1

ClunkyI bought a 3 month plan and I regret it. I just find it very, very clunky to use - you constantly have to be at your phone or your laptop to click through exercises - or am I missing something? I actually ended up signing up for Centr Fit (Chris Hemsworths thing) and it’s WAY better - same principles but it moves you through the whole thing so I don’t have to constantly keep touching my phone which just really interrupts any flow and means you can’t focus properly..Version: 6.13.0

Not Ready For Your Fitness GoalsThis app has been an extremely frustrating experience. I’ve used multiple workout apps and am a very experienced in training. I downloaded the app and signed up for a training journey and told the coach I could work out Mon, Wed, Fri. Today is Wednesday and the app will not give me access to my journey workout for today. It is only giving me the option to do a separate, unrelated workout. You can’t skip or shorten a rest period, only a workout set. So if I want to skip your last 2 sets you have to just stand around and wait for the rest timer. You also can’t customize how much weight you actually used verses what it asked you to do. It wanted me to warm up with a weight that was too heavy for a particular move I hadn’t done in years, but wouldn’t let me adjust it. I’m not going to just blindly do what the “coach” says if I already know it’s not gonna work for me. I also paid for the nutrition coach upgrade because the ad said there were dairy and gluten free diet options but when I set it up there were no options for gluten or dairy free. Only vegan and other meat preferences. Had I known I would not have gotten the app. If you want any “say-so” or control over your fitness program this is not the app to get..Version: 7.48.0

PoorWould not recommend. There are better fitness apps than this eg strava.Version: 2.6.1

Very good app but very poor service supportThe app stopped working with my account more than a week ago and I can’tlog in. I contacted technical support to recover my account, this has not worked out. I was requested by the support team for loads of irrelevant data including the time zone, the language the app is shown on or the IP address ( when this can vary). It took them several days to reply back and I’ve been told that if In a few days this is not solved that they will refund me part of my subscription and cancel the account. What’s the point of paying a subscription and relying on this app to do my workouts if it can just fail the login details and nothing can be done???? I love the app but the support team is slow and passive.Version: 6.49.0

50’s and wanting to be fitI have just got back into using freeletics app after a couple of years break. I value the app content and know it has helped me in the past. I have trouble with adjusting the level of difficulty, even much easier is a struggle with some exercises, perhaps I am not the target market? Then I remember from the last time using the app, even the basics were difficult for me the first time round. The team have made some improvements, but things I could achieve easily, like star jumps and running on the spot, seem to be missing now and I can’t seem to work out why. I want to stick with Freeletics, but frustrating that I am going to have to replace some exercises manually, so my records won’t be accurate. I think there is a missed opportunity to custom choose a mix of exercises upfront (other apps do or for things like music) then have the coach build a programme off the back of my choices, plus some recommended ones. I think the blend could be more balanced. I do feel a little like this is aimed at 20-30’s but perhaps I am missing something..Version: 7.31.0
