Parallels Access for Positive User Reviews

Fantastic!A brilliantly thought through design with great function and usability. I can now use my Mac on the iPhone and iPad whether I'm at home or out and about. My productivity levels have skyrocketed! Get it. Use it!.Version: 2.1.0

Incredibly Useful AppThis app is incredible to me because I live off-grid in a house where I can only get 2 bars of LTE and I can still access my Mac mini from miles away, nearly seamlessly. It has some glitches from time to time, like failing to wake up my computer, but they can often be fixed by deleting and reinstalling the app. One major thing I think the app is missing is the ability to click and drag content around on screen. You can’t resize windows, drag & drop files, or effectively utilize creative software without the ability to click and drag 🤕 Another thing that would be nice to have is an onscreen return key in the “additional keys” bar. It seems like when I use parallels on my iPhone/ipad without a keyboard, that’s the one key I need to open the software keyboard for the most. Incredible job on the app, it’s well worth the money. I can get by without a laptop because I can use this so well on my iPad Pro. 👏.Version: 7.0.8

Best I’ve SeenParallels and Parallels Access have totally transformed my business, and I now have a full-time task recommending, installing and updating "Cloud" computing for iPad users..Version: 2.0.1

Laptops=things of the pastThis is so good that my next purchase would likely be a desktop, to get maximum power in the remote machine, as portability is looked after with Parallels Access. This thing has the potential to revolutionize how we use these things and what equipment to buy.Version: 3.1.4

Five star product for 14 days.. Then forget it!This is a great app that I would happily pay a reasonable monthly subscription for but £54 a year??? Come on! Once the trial expires I'll go back to using Jump and iTeleport. Not so elegant but work well enough and I've only ad to pay once, and less for both of them out together than the yearly subscription asked by this product. Shame you've wasted your time guys..Version: 1.0

Finally - a sensible price & subscriptionThis app is good, seriously good - it has made my life so much easier in so many ways and I use it almost daily to manage my MacBook Pro & Mac mini remotely. My only quibble before was the highway robbery of the pricing on launch. Now it is sensibly priced (per user rather than per machine) and has extended the capability too. When is say remotely I mean anything from the next room and can't be bothered to walk 20 paces to being in a different country and managing my downloads, etc. - so simple to use and so, so useful..Version: 1.1.0

Infrequent UpdatesFor the amount that is payed in a subscription, I did expect to see more frequent updates for this app. For instance, this app has not been adapted for the iPad Pro 11 inch yet..Version: 4.0.3

Fantastic alternative to VNCBlown away by this app, so much quicker than vnc and also streams sound and even your device's microphone flawlessly. Absolutely worth the subscription. Waiting patiently for iPad Pro optimisations....Version: 3.0.2

ExcellentWorks well on all my devices.Version: 2.0.1

Good app, but the price.........I don't think anyone would like to pay such a high price to BUY such an app. A one off payment of 35£ is acceptable, but 35£ a year, or 80$ a year? ...... I would like to buy a notebook instead!!!.Version: 1.0.3

Not workingPretty good app. Over time it has improved a lot in terms of connectivity, speed and reliability. Still no support for new iPad displays. Tech support is pretty bad. They resolve in the end, but lack communication skills..Version: 4.0.4

Not ready for M1Working great on 16” MBP running Big Sur! Easy in and go. However, won’t reliably connect to M1 MBP. Overall, GREAT product. Hope the M1 “spinning wheel” gets fixed soon! :).Version: 6.2.0

The best remote I’ve used!I have used a lot of computer remote control programs over the years, and this is my favorite. Gone is the entire desktop view, and the need to dig through menus, and windows to get to the App you want. Parallels Access gives you an App view to select what you want to do, and a full window view of the app you’re using, very helpful and convenient. Another great feature is that you get the same capabilities whether you’re controlling an app on the Virtual Machine you’re accessing, or accessing an App on the Host machine. Highly recommended!.Version: 5.1.1

Have used it for years!Control/work on 5 work Macs from my ipad/iphone anywhere in the world. Is it really going away? Noooooo!.Version: 7.0.8

Great add-on for the travellerI found this app very useful. I travel a lot, and I now use my iPad Pro for own use and work most of the time. I can now still access my MacBook Pro that I now leave at home. My wish would be to able to have full screen display on my iPad Pro.... please, find a find to stretch the display..Version: 3.1.7

Good Experience, no Win 8.1 High DPI supportWorked really well for me with a Mac, really easy to use. With Windows 8.1 on a high DPI display, the whole thing breaks and is unusable, so you're better off with a Windows RDC client..Version: 2.5.0

Blown awayI gave this a pass originally, as the subscription covered one measly computer. The new model was appealing and I'm super glad I gave this a shot. This is more like a "remote app" app, rather than "Remote Desktop". It really does feel like the desktop apps have been optimized for iPad. There's a 14 day trial, so give it a shot! Make sure to whitelist the app in your Windows Firewall. Mac users won't have that problem..Version: 1.1.0

Great with iPhone support nowModifying my review, was a VPN issue I was having. Very useful and user friendly app,.Version: 2.0.0

Best app I have seenI didn’t realise you could do this on an iPad. This is so useful and seems very well made so far..Version: 5.1.1

Excellent Remote Desktop AppI find the app indispensable, I use it to control computers at home and away. A yearly subscription to Parallels desktop for Mac includes free use of the Access App. I have used this app since it was first released and it has improved over time..Version: 7.0.2

Not just remote desktopDon't look at Parallels Access as another RDP solution, it is significantly more than that! It is a very usable way to display apps in a tablet size- and touch friendly format. On Remote Desktop products like VNC or whatever, you will be frustrated, poking at tiny controls and fussing with the keyboard. In contrast, Parallels Access is extremely workable..Version: 2.0.1

Convenient but not well though in some aspectsYou can’t zoom in to see things that are to small if your device is smaller than your remote computer. you also can’t do commands that need to be done with a mouse..Version: 5.6.0

Excellent way to use Windows programs on your MacParallels makes it easy to use a virtual Windows machine without having to turn off your OS-run computer. The switching between systems is done effortlessly and instinctively. If you want to run a Windows based program you just click on the icon on your desktop and Parallels will open it for you. You can go back between Windows and OS because both machines are running together..Version: 2.1.0

Tremendously useful, but needs an updateI love this app, it is amazing to have as a student and a video producer. Some things to be wanted, namely expanding the interface to take up the whole screen on my 11” iPad Pro.Version: 4.0.4

Very impressed.Works Flawlessly without any training, just jumped in and I am using it painlessly!.Version: 4.0.4

One of the best apps for remote accessI use it frequently to trouble shoot computer issues for non-tech savvy family members with the remote access feature.Version: 6.2.0

DecentThe title says all.Version: 3.0.1

Very useful.I love this app and how easy it makes connecting to my mac apps (depending on your network). My only real criticism is that mouse control (apple magic keyboard) can be a bit fiddly as it tries to be helpful for finger navigation. It would be nice to specify a control method. For this and no Linux client I have withheld a 5* review. Still, despite a small hang up I can happily recommend this app..Version: 7.0.2

Next best to iPad running MacOSIt’s the best and most economical way to work around Apple’s refusal to make a tablet that combines iPad features of facial recognition and touchscreen with the power of Mac desktop applications. C’mon Apple, make a Surace Pro for your loyal customers. In the meantime, Parallels Access is the best answer..Version: 6.2.0

Very impressiveSuperb solutions for desktop access. Few program's that the system didn't like to play with, but I'm sure work in progress. Love the mouse pointer option. If you can get this to work with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard I can then get rid of my laptop for good. Well done guys..Version: 1.0

IncredibleFast, and very user friendly. An impressive achievement. Very useful for people who travel and need an easy way to access their computers remotely..Version: 2.1.0

AwesomeThis is just the sort of product I need to be able to remote control my MacBook! It’s awesome..Version: 2.1.0

No iPad Pro ResolutionAsked them to add iPad Pro support, and they are totally ignorant. I just want them to add iPad Pro resolution!!!!!.Version: 3.0.2

It works. But....I've been an a Apple nut ever since the SE30 came out, but have never been able to warm to my ipad as a 'serious replacement' for a decent laptop. However, I had hopes for Access, and I should say that it does work as expected, in a basic sort of way- if you don't mind spending double time that you would normally take. But if you're a power user, and not just a regular Internet surfer etc then all Access will do is remind you that the ipad is no replacement for a decent powered Macbook or PC laptop. Access doesn't quite resize apps on the screen particularly screen well, and its performance is somewhat sluggish- even on a fast modem connection. The positive thing I guess is that Access has made me realise that I really should end my love with this iPad and exchange it for a decent laptop..Version: 1.1.0

A Really Great Option for Remote AccessThere are many remote access options but this is the best I’ve tried. Very slick, not perfect, but a great addition I’ve come to count on. I was quite worried when this was made part of Corel, but I have not seen any issues with stability or updates..Version: 7.0.2

Gordon Gecko strikes againGreed is good. After relying on Access in one form or another for 14 years, currently as included in subscription for Parallels Desktop, today peremptorily told, we are removing it. Shifting market landscape results in us charging more and giving you less. Best meet the evolving needs of our customers? Really? Just another robber baron. Customers do economic analysis too and Access was part of the equation for Desktop subscription. So alternatives will be sought. 5 stars in memoriam..Version: 7.0.8

Best remote access softwareI just love this. It's also works for people in canada. Way better then all the other remote access tools. So glad i got it..Version: 2.0.0

Great but requires a bit more workI just installed this on 4 PCs. Great product especially with respect to having access to individual apps instead of whole desktop and easy way to switch from desktop to app. It would have been a 5 star if it could handle dual monitors which is not the way I see it currently..Version: 6.0.0

Great but no thanksGood software solution, but pricing is thoroughly prohibitive. Bought Parallels, so I can use it for at while without paying, but after that it is the delete button. What WERE the marketing people thinking - an annual IOS subscription costs more than a biannual upgrade of the OSX software. Whereas I since using Parallels since v3 have a very positive view of the company and the software, my view of the sales & marketing department could not be much lower. This is truly a recipe for how to destroy a good reputation and commit an otherwise excellent product with great potential to gather dust on a shelf..Version: 1.0

It’s greatIt’s great for travel if you’re going somewhere out into like a distance or somewhere or you could go on your computer if you accidentally left something on it.Version: 6.2.0

Best Remote Desktop for Mac everThis is incredible and exactly what I’ve been looking for. Great job! Everything makes sense and it works..Version: 5.5.0

Please add iPadOS mouse supportWould be hugely appreciated..Version: 5.6.0

MagicSo impressed. I've tried a few remote login tools and this one is incredible. Super easy to navigate, intelligent access to your files and applications, great gestures. The whole thing feels quality, and a bit like magic - and I'm a developer! Easy 5 stars..Version: 2.1.0

Fantastic software! This software has really made my iPad Pro useful. Well done team!.Version: 6.2.0

MacOS - the appThis app has changed the way I use my iPad, and the devs have some serious talent. Solid 5 stars. It really is incredible what Parallels Access accomplishes. By combining Parallels's super-fast screen sharing technology with iOS native input methods such as drag-to-scroll, using a mac app with Parallels Access feels as close as it gets to using a native app. As is this wasn't enough, it then provides the option to match the iPad's native screen resolution to make full use of the display (an option which unfortunately only works with older models as of writing). With just this, I could never go back to another screen-sharing/VNC solution, but Parallels Access continues to make the experience better with native UI to allow for things like showing the menu bar in fullscreen apps, navigating the mac's file-system (with a UI to rival the native Files app), and a launchpad/homescreen to keep the app you want a tap away. One thing a user will quickly find is that the mac's Spotlight shortcut is overriden by iOS, but Parallels turn this in their favour by integrating into iOS's Spotlight results. They also provide a today widget to take you from your device's homescreen straight into a mac app. My only request is that work is put in to ensure the app gets the attention it deserves: from the devs, to keep app features working (such as matching newer iPads' resolution and aspect ratio); and from the public, because this app is market-leading with a proven record, and deserves to be considered as a solution as people increasingly seek to switch to iPad-only workflows..Version: 4.0.4

Has come far since first release...Good solid performance on slower 3G networks and excellent on 4G. Turns my iPad into a MAC or Windows PC connecting to my machines and virtual PCs running at home. Screen scaling is excellent. Do away with other subscription based office apps on your iPad and simply run Parallels Access to run Office 2010 / 2013 run your MAC or PC at home, right on your iPad..Version: 2.0.1

Best ever,Great software, easy to use and very responsive..Version: 5.0.1

Excellent choice for mobile accessThe presentation of remote programs that look and function like mobile apps (pick from launcher, run full screen) remove the painful window management that is required for traditional Remote Desktop display apps. On iOS they also do a good job of implementing IOS functions when you are inputing text into you remote app. For example when editing a document you can use the iOS touch controls to select and copy text instead of remotely running the mouse to do the same thing Pricing is also extremely reasonable (I’m using personal plan $20/yr to access 5 computers) and doesn’t come with the typical “not for business use” restrictions which allows me to telecommute with ease Setup was extremely easy and I had to do zero router changes and have connected to both home and work computers.Version: 4.0.3

Connection IssuesWhen it connects it works reasonably well. But lately I have had connection issues..Version: 4.0.0

AccessSo far so easy to remote in.Version: 6.5.1

Very well doneAlmost perfect would be great if you could change the view of computers to connect to, to a view so you don’t have to swipe to get all the way to the one you want to connect to or at the very least be able to organize them. An awesome addition would be to have this app working on macOS is well!.Version: 5.0.0

Remote Access ExcellenceParallels Access provides me with full feature RELIABLE remote access to my Mac. In conjunction with Parallels I can run my Mac and Windows applications from my iPad. Easy to use screen gestures and shortcuts make Parallels Access THE app to have on your iPad..Version: 1.1.3

Awesome that this app supports the magic keyboardI was pleasantly surprised after trying the trial period that this app supports iPad Pro magic keyboard. Makes working remotely really effortless with the iPad Pro. Thanks Parallels team. Just renewed my subscription for a year..Version: 6.2.0

Excellent app to access a Mac remotelyVery reliable and user friendly app. The app launcher using icons is very useful and makes it easy to open programs. I’ve been able to reach into my iMac even from my iPhone and actually get things done. Of course from an iPad is even better. Highly recommend it..Version: 4.0.3

App is Rock SolidI find the UI very easy to access my PC. It never crashes..Version: 4.0.0

Cafe Workers’ DelightThis is great. I can leave my expensive development laptop at home and work on it on my iPad from anywhere. Perfect. The occasional reconnection sometimes breaks the flow but it’s a price worth paying and it is far more stable than the macOS screen share.Version: 7.0.2

Ending SoonWe will miss this product and sorry to see it coming to an end..Version: 7.0.8

This company produces earth shattering software.Imagine a world where your desktop powerhouse fits in your pocket. Or a world where any OS can run on your Mac. Makes a Mac THE machine to run. I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the entire suite from Parrallels. I have been trying it. On and off for years and im so happy i finally just have it to use constantly. Live love love.Version: 6.2.0

Great AppThis is a great App for accessing your computer when you are away from home or the office. I just signed up month to month with a well known accounting program which is good, but not as good as my desktop version. At the moment I am running both the online accounts package on the cloud, and my desktop version by using Parallels Access, I think the desktop version is winning, ok I need to run my desktop (a laptop) as a server, but that’s not a problem. I once ran an old Apricot for eight years without switching it off ever, anyway with what I save on monthly charges for the online version I will be able to buy a new laptop every year..Version: 6.1.0

It’s Simply the best. So Simple to use and very ProfessionalTravelled to India and had no problems logging into my iMac. Was even able to access Windows on my mac through Parallels and open Microsoft office for Windows. It's simple and easy to operate with no trouble at all..Version: 2.1.0

Great but...It works flawlessly. I basically get my Mac on my iPhone. I can play my stream games. Transfer files. Love it. Only downside is it is a battery monster. 40% swallowed in 10'mins..Version: 2.5.0

Use all the timeI think this is a great app, for the most part it is fast, reliable, intuitive and mostly just works. devs: here’s a wish list 1- lock computer when accessing remotely This does nothing of the sort, it simply turns off the client computer’s screen backlight. Either lock it properly or actually be honest in the description 2- please add mouse support for iPad. This would make it the ultimate thin client. TTFN Ant.Version: 3.2.1

Awesome!!!This application worths every penny spent on it! Absolutely brilliant app. Better then any other Remote Desktop app. Need a logout/disconnect button from a computer if you are using multiple computers..Version: 2.1.0

NiftyThis app lets you use any desktop app from your iPad. Even when using Xcode, MS Word or Excel, you get iOS' native editing gestures and toolbar. Sure, this comes at a cost, but for those who need remote access to their computer's software there is no equivalent. This is *so* much better than using splashtop or remote desktop software..Version: 1.0.2

Parallels AccessExcellent App, would certainly purchase but far too expensive cost per year..Version: 1.0.3

Super! It does exactly what it promises - I can remotely do work from my iphone with Microsoft programs I run on my iMac in Parallels in the office from anywhere I have internet. It is absolutely the Remote Desktop app I have ever used from my phone. It was the only one that was actually worth the money paid for it. My verdict - a must own for people who spend more time out of office without a laptop but need access to a powerful desktop/laptop every now and then and are capable of using an iPhone proficiently..Version: 2.5.2

BrilliantGot me out of a pickle as few times. Well prices & runs well.Version: 3.0.2

Good but annoyingVery good app, better than team viewer but annoying I can't put the devices in a list view, instead of flicking through them all..Version: 3.0.0
