✓ Unplayable on iOS 13Waste of money. The buttons don’t work, they are also covering the whole screen, making the game completely unplayable. I would give this 5 stars if it was a proper refresh that was also available to play on MacOS the way many current iOS games are. This refresh is a disgrace to one of the greatest classic arcade fighting games of all time. The design of the refreshed menu screen is also a mess. It gives it a cheap and rushed feel, completely disjointed aesthetic from the classic 90’s pixel graphics. It also doesn’t make use of the full screen as the last update was probably done for the iPhone 3 screen. Hoping for an update soon that should port over to MacOS too..PentagramwookieVersion: 1.1.3

✓ Flawed. Not a fun experience.I am glad I only spent £0.69 on this. The game is flawed and irritating. SNK, games are supposed to be FUN. In summary, the controls are unresponsive and the level of difficulty is always set to insane, no matter how you adjust it. I am a seasoned gamer and used to play this game a lot. ✓ Nearly impossible to enjoyThe difficulty seems to be the same for levels 1 through 8: you get Nicotine for your first opponent, then Sieger, then Cham Cham, with some variation. Regardless, the first opponent is a breeze; the second is a little harder, but the third (regardless if it’s Cham Cham, Galford, etc.) is programmed to beat you, end of story. The CPU’s throws are prioritized over yours 90% of the time; they counter you near perfectly every time you mount an offensive (see INPUT READING). Even if you counter the CPU for the majority of your match, it will mount a comeback by reacting quicker than you. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it happens so often that, coupled with what I’ve laid out above, makes the game nearly impossible to enjoy. Enough people pay for this that I’m sure SNK gives ZERO tosses about these reviews, but here’s hoping my review saves at least one person $2.99..Net AdminKTVersion: 1.1.3

✓ Great game, terrible portImpossible to play after the second opponent, the CPU basically counters or blocks anything you do, as if it wasn’t hard enough already with the wonky controls. Difficulty levels are the same no matter what level you choose, it makes no difference. This could have been great port but the developers have made no changes to this since it was first introduced to the App Store several years ago. ✓ Not recommended.....Unless you’re only after the nostalgia. This is my favorite fighting game series ever and to have it here and unplayable is heart breaking to say the least. Without a real controller this game cannot be played to full skill where you’re able to be as nimble as this game requires. your thumbs end up sloppily fumbling around while the AI has perfect timing and really lays into you.. on my best day I was able to fight 4 opponents while usually only able to fight 2 on my normal days and a lot of times only 1 and quit after a good 1 fight whooping. (Can barely ever beat Sieger) The AI can grab you at will and toss you, and has an almost impregnable block! Attacks are not encouraged and barely countering gets in.. You need waaaaay more skill here with a screen than you would ever need than if you had a controller. It’s really too bad they decided not to include Bluetooth control connection . No kick input/output, only weak & medium slash and the game's "SP" button. Controls as-is renders fighting controls in-operable & incomplete. Defective controls. Also annoying slash sounding effect when using the broken control for weak slash- continuously replays sound effect from the menu during a battle which SHOULD NOT be happening. Touchscreen controls not better. Actually makes the game experience worse. 1 star for graphics/sound being like the original in arcades. ✓ Such high hopesI payed the full £5.99 upon its release. This game is beautiful and feels authentically Japanese. The detail to the backdrops, characters and music is amazing. Unfortunately there are some fundamental issues: The difficulty setting doesn't work. I'm a veteran gamer and yet it takes me an average of 6-10 continues to get past EACH ROUND (except round one and two which seem easy), no matter the difficulty setting (1 or 8). The CPU predicts every move you are going to do. You jump, the computer will jump, and 9/10 gets its move in first. The game is made even more difficult by the inferior controls. The SP button produces random moves even when not touching the joystick. The super move can be activated by touching you life gauge. Except unlike Capcom, this has been terribly programmed which means that it might do nothing or make you hard punch or jump. With a game this unforgiving a glitch such as this is not good. MFI controller support is busted and it won't recognize all the buttons on your game pad...and some of them instantly crash the game for me. Touch screen controls work but I find this very hard to play like that. ✓ Lacks controller support - Jan 2021This game is perfect, except you can’t play it. As of January 2021, SNK still needs to update support for Bluetooth controllers. Without it, the game is not fun to play. It’s safe to say that if they fix this one issue, the game will be the best fighter on any mobile platform but until then it isn’t worth downloading.
