✓ Why can’t a join another country clubI have experienced this before and takes so long to you to fix it which cost me in showdown not having a swing gauge. The issue is I left my club and wanted to join a new one but all I get is an error message and can’t join. Now I have no swing guage. I have sent 4 requests to get this fixed and all I get is standard email replies and some asking for screenshots to see what’s happening which I have sent 3 times and still no response. One email said “l have reset your profile try again if not fixed contact again “ well it didn’t fix it replied at least 4 days ago and still no fix. Come WGT lift your game.Version: 1.97.0
✓ Good game but…Very difficult to progress without spending real money. Win games and upgrade clothing which increases attributes, but buying upgraded golf clubs is almost impossible without spending money. It’s a shame because it’s probably the best golf game app out there, but do you really want to end up like one of those idiots who spend lots of money to progress in a game that you will eventually get bored with and delete? There really should be a free way to upgrade clubs maybe watching ads? Anyway after rapidly progressing to get you addicted you won’t progress much unless you want to throw money at the game, which I would never recommend as you will regret it. Like I said it is a shame as it’s a good game, but like so many games around, developers are a bit greedy and want to prey on the addicted, a bit like the drug trade really but legal..Version: 1.78.0
✓ Fun but poorly doneThe tutorials are severely lacking and features such as putt preview just disappeared one day, also at times the course map is just not there so you just have to take a random shot that ends up out of bounds. I have been playing this game for about a week now averaging maybe an hour a day and did not get unsolicited ads until about day 3, and they are random as well as long. I purchased a set of clubs the other day as well and did not receive them either. It would seem as though this game stopped trying to improve a few years ago but still expects people to pay for a subscription, the latest version of devices that come up if you want to register a device are 5 year old tech..Version: 1.93.0
✓ Great game but heavy on in App purchase to improveGraphics are great. Gameplay challenging….but. I’ve found the AI very erratic too often and many I’ve played with agree. A big part of the game when trying to improve is “credits". You get these by paying cash or watching ads/completing surveys. The ads are a nightmare to watch. I can get 15 credits per day watching ads but it now takes ages as the game continually locks me out and needs a restart (often multiple times) to obtain the next 2 credits. It seems the aim is to get you to pay cash! Support is ridiculous on this complaint with a generic reply blaming zones and then telling me to contact the 3rd party as it is their problem! Given this I would not recommend the game until the issue is resolved..Version: 1.78.0
✓ Good Game Ruined by Over-MonetisationThe core game implementation is very good, a solid 4+ stars - I prefer the old 90s style triple click golf swing mechanics but this implementation is pretty much as good. The graphics etc are great, the contour lines when putting etc etc all solid. The core game perfectly scratches the golf game itch. The game is ruined - deleting it after finishing this review - by excessive monetisation. You’ll spend a solid 10% of the gameplay time messing around with “click to collect your coins!” and other such nonsense. Upgrade your golf clubs! Just make it a paid app, charge a solid price, this game would be worth it but nothing will ever make me buy coins or get involved with nonsense stars and coins and whatever else..Version: 1.97.0

✓ Focused on revenue and not funI personally spend quite a bit of money on in-app purchases for certain games and while I am more than happy to part ways with my hard earned dollars, the cost of upgrades in this game utterly ridiculous. Unless you are willing to part ways with a couple hundred dollars you will be stuck a generic set of clubs that won’t make you competitive against anyone. Club rental periods are a joke. Apparel performance is also a joke. While the graphics and gameplay are fantastic, the blatant push for revenue here is majorly off-putting. I just upgraded my actual set of clubs the other day and I think got better value money then I would’ve got in this game (I spent $5,000).Version: 1.43.1

✓ Beautiful game but to inconsistentI’ve been playing for only a month or two and for the most part it’s a great game what ruins it is the inconsistency of how far your ball goes. I just bought some decent balls for the first time and lost them all on two holes. Before this I’ve lost one ball the whole time I’ve been playing. I don’t know why the game plays flawlessly then out of the blue it becomes frustrating to play. It takes the fun out of it but maybe that’s the point. I was getting ready to spend some money on this game to upgrade my clubs. I was taking the game to seriously so maybe that’s how they remind you that it’s just a game. This could be a ten star game if it was consistent but it’s not even close. When you hit your ball father than your club can hit with the wind blowing right at you at 15 mph it’s just not right and how can you play a good game if you have to second guess on what your balls going to do. I wouldn’t spend money on this game just because it’s to inconsistent It’s still fun though.Version: 1.97.0
✓ Seriously underwhelmingAfter leaving a negative review last night I have got a few more hours under my belt on this game and it’s gotten EVEN WORSE! I don’t know if there’s some sort of glitch but every time I’m shooting under par I’ll automatically bogey/double bogey the following 5-6 holes without actually playing worse, I’ve hit perfectly good 160 yard approach shots only for them to randomly drop out of the sky at 110 yards and in to a bunker, this seems to happen ALL THE TIME, no matter how well you hit a shot, if there’s a green front bunker, you’re in it. Chipping is another aspect which really needs sorting out, if you’re even less than half an inch either side of the centre of the aim radar, chances are your shot is travelling about 2 yards and rolling back down past you. Putting is a completely different story, every round I play I put perfectly well until a certain point when it becomes IMPOSSIBLE to 2 putt no matter where you are, this is another glitch that makes it impossible to shoot under par, because whenever you get a decent score going, you’ll completely ruin your card over the next 4-6 holes without actually making any mistakes. If you’re any further than 20ft from the pin, then good luck because you’re 3 putting at best, even on a good day. Golf is not a game that requires pinpoint perfection for every shot, but for some reason this game is the complete opposite..Version: 1.61.0
✓ PointlessHaving spent three years playing this game I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s rigged…if your spending money or in the upper echelon of their tier system then the game is for you. If you can tier up you will spend an eternity getting your average down to go to the next level… shoot sub par rounds and it will still take you forever … one thing you shouldn’t do is make any sort of query or complaint to the people who own and “run” the game … you will discover that your game suddenly goes awry for a period… straight drives veer off into the rough and bunkers… winds appear from nowhere…. and putts somehow have a mind of their own … those that you were sinking suddenly “rim” or stop on the lip…. all in all treat it with the contempt it deserves … if it gives you a respite from daily life for 10 minutes then enjoy it… but to improve unless you’ve got deep pockets and are mute … forget it!!!… #riggedgame.Version: 1.73.0

✓ Buggy game - pay to playAfter installing and playing a few games, I found my club distance / power used was not garnering the results it should. Believing it was due to the use of beginner clubs, I began investing in currency ($50 of packs) and bought some better equipment along with a MAX club bundle for $20. I quickly realized the clubs available get better as you rank you. The game does not explain this. After contacting WGT support and they declined to reimburse the credits / remove the crappy clubs I’ve now spent $70 on, I then realized there’s no in game Manuel. No website with information or manuel — NOTHING to explain how the currency systems, clubs + apparel and other things work. They expect the gamer to figure it out I suppose and spend lots of money along the way. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and the game is buggy, slow - freezes up consistently. The camera angles are often frustrating as they are fixed and do not allow you to see the area of the course that you are playing on. Sometimes you will hit a ball and it will only go 10-25% of how far it should. Other times it may go further than you hit. All with wind and accuracy accounted for. WGT really needs to update or rather OVERHAUL this game. Their lack of support is a real issue. I’ve never played a game that only allows you to get new items with currency not coins. You cannot buy the best clubs with coins in this game! You can’t even buy balls with coins. They only want your CASH!.Version: 1.57.2
✓ Ridiculous!!!As a long time player of 6yrs having spent thousands of real dollars , this game has deteriorated to the point of unacceptable. Blatant cheating is rife with no punishment from wgt at all , the help line ( wgt support) is beyond a joke with little to no help , they refuse to answer questions , or even reply to emails . They do not care for the game or it’s users only revenue after each update they game develops serious inconsistencies EVERY TIME , to which nothing is ever fixed ( note the game has been without flagsticks for over 4months now ) this is blamed on iOS but this not the case just more wgt passing on issues to others . ✓ Great game...BUT.This is a great game but there really needs to be active moderators or a process of approving display pictures. What I mean by this is there are so many dcik pics as display pictures. I’ve only been playing for 3 days and today I saw 3 different examples of this and then when playing someone I thought was normal with a standard avatar as their picture and normal name, I was informed he was trying to work out what to do with his morning wood, and that he needed a hand to sort it out. Another was making suggestions about whipped cream. My niece was with me when I first played this game and I’m lucky none of this came up then. It was around 5pm AEST. (Melbourne VIC) I have a standard avatar as my display picture so there is a huge risk that a kid will come across what I did today. I wouldn’t be surprised if this has already happened. ✓ Had enough of this appThe game play is good, hence the reason I’m giving 3 stars. However, it takes longer and longer to level up every time, the reason I bring this up, is because you simply can’t compete on this app unless you spend a considerable amount of money on their clubs, you’ll pass away before being able to level up and compete with how long it takes. You heard me correctly, as if you’re playing real-life golf, you’re simply at a disadvantage unless you spend money on their clubs, balls and gear. And what’s worse is that they don’t take the fact that you’re not playing real-life golf into consideration, and sell these items as if they were being used in real-life. You can buy a video game for $50, $60 these days, but if you want to compete in this game you’ll end up spending in the $1,000’s over time. You can somewhat compete for around $2-$300 still considerably more than a video game. ✓ The creators who run this game are crooksOk, so my level is currently at 101 with the status of champion, which does mean much other than I’ve logged a ton of games. Here’s the thing, everything is predetermined in this game. I’ve got some of the best clubs you can buy, balls with good to great assist aid and I’m pretty consistent at hitting ding on the swing meter. You can hit a perfect shot into a straight on headwind and end up 7 yards right or left. Other times, after an update, your irons will be 10-15 yards short, so over the course of the next couple of weeks you’ll begin to try to compensate for this (only to have them switch it back to completely screw you up). And don’t even get me started on how they change putting every other week. You have a better chance getting a fair game at the carnival. Then when you call them on it they respond with answers like “only a true golf fan would understand the nuances of the game). So after playing two years (and never getting a new course) I’ve decided to stop playing. I’m just sorry I lined their pockets for that long. One other thing, don’t even think about starting a club that’ll beat the Georgians, if it looks like you are, WGT will just give them the best of par 5’s repeatedly to ensure their victory. ✓ Is this a scam?This could be a great game. Graphics are good but there are definitely issues! As you progress you hit a limit and find you cannot progress or win anymore unless you spend money. If you don’t you will start to miss putts. Where you used to make putts easily, now you will miss. Your tee and other shots will start to end up in the rough or bunkers etc. But as soon as you spend real money your skill level magically returns. You have a time limit to take your shot which you can’t seem to remove or change and WHY put a 30second time limit you can spend in the settings page. Total madness and highly extremely frustrating. I will change my review if/when they address the things above. ✓ Unfair gameplayIt would be nice if this game automatically handicapped every single player based on their gameplay and not only if they play a 9 hole stroke play. Tiers are flawed! Impossible to make up 100 yard length advantage on Par 5 based on tee position against a player who has much better handicap, same if not better clubs, yet is tiered as a “pro” against oneself as “master”. Getting whipped by countless players on a so-called 150 handicap is a joke. Especially when one spends lots of hard earned money on this game upgrading. ✓ Getting worse by the dayUsed to be really great, but is steadily getting worse and will soon be unplayable. It's a game of skill, but when the relationship between shots, elevation and headwinds vary from shot to shot, then it becomes a game of little skill and you soon lose interest. Hit a 15 foot put two inches uphill and it will go 13 feet one time and 8 feet the next. Hit a 4 iron 5 feet uphill one time and it will travel 160 yards, then the next time 129 yards. Where's the fun in that? As a result, scoring better than +5 for a round is almost impossible on some courses and where's the fun in that? Around Level 45, flagsticks start to disappear, you can't get a direct view from your avatar on the greens, so you can't read the line of your putt and the shot graphics start to stick in the avatar's follow through, rather than where the ball has gone. Where's the fun in that? Of course, this may just be happening on the free part of the app and if I pay through the nose for stuff I don't want perhaps it would improve, but where's the fun in that? And if anyone can tell me what the WGT coins d I'd be grateful as I have 179,000 of them and not a clue what I can use them for..Version: 1.49.0

✓ Changed for the worsePlayed when it first came out started again recently, can’t change the view direction stuck to set views they give can’t look right or left this is essential when you play a Bad shot and the hole is 190 yards away and you need to redirect to play a safety onto the fairway, can’t be done. Also bit of nightmare playing against loads of people who have paid to get amazing clubs that beat your drive by 40 yards every time nothing to do with skill at all just rewards players who pay for stuff. Deleted again prob for good this time shame as had promise in the early days. ✓ Based on profit not fairnessThis game has the potential to be great, sadly you have to spend big $$$ to be given the accuracy other players afford. Sadly it’s not a game of skill, because everyone does not want to spend hundreds $$$$ on attributes and pro shop equipment. On what planet does a person spend so much on a game? I would prefer to walk the fairways and hit the shot I played, to my ability. And be satisfied regardless of the outcome. ✓ WGTBeen a few months, deleated ! Just too frustrating just a money pit, nothing more! Have to agree, it’s rigged, win 1 lose 2 or three, keep paying. Good graphics, great feel, but it’s all about separating you from your money, you may have 50 or 80 rating playing a 20 but if it’s his turn to win no matter how well yo hit you ball or putt it will find water, or become a “lost” ball or trickle off the green, or end up an inch in the rough with no chance of hitting the green. Happens over and over, you will be disappointed or frustrated thinking you know your getting the hang of it, but no. It’s been a few months now, and I’m finally done, when “coins” are out so will I be... you cannot win, only lose slowly, now matter how good you think you are, it is designed to take your money. ✓ Horrible!The customer service team will respond to you. However, are they willing to fix an issue with an account missing credits...NO. And after leveling up, or letting them know about the issue. The game goes from allowing you to simply watch enough ads as the review above me stated, where it would be easy to obtain 500+ in a day. Then able to buy the clubs you wanted. However, as time goes on, the game only allows you to gain maybe 10 credits per day for free. They will even mail you a bogus email regarding that it all has to do with”time zones”. Which is a crock. The game itself is not bad if you play with great internet speed as it states is needed. However, they have an ENORMOUS issue with correcting customers real issues. Plus, the main problem is that is no longer allows you to watch ads to continue to build your character after reaching say “Level-Pro, 45+ above”. If they fixed this, I’d give the game a 4 or 5. Because of that issue alone, the game is a 1! Simply & plain, get people who will help your customers. Don’t lie to them, & continue for everyone to run ads no matter what. ✓ RfchippyGreat graphics and initially fun to play. You soon realise that you have to spend too much money to get suitable equipment to properly compete. There are far too many pop-ups trying to coax more money out of you, despite having already purchased. I have to delete and reload the app every few days to enable upgrades to work. Every now and then, you'll make a perfect shot and it will mysteriously turn into the wind and disappear into a convenient bunker! (What a fix!) There's far too much chat going on which can be distracting when it pops-up as you're about to play a stroke, from people more obsessed with it than just getting on with the game! Far too much disruption in the program for me, I'm afraid and it's totally unforgiving and random. It looks good but I've played much less frustrating and more rewarding golf games. Because I've spent some cash establishing a fair level of competitiveness, I'll play it once in a while now but the excitement of things to come has gone. A great shame....Version: 1.36.1
✓ Irritating and overly complicatedLike many mobile games these days, this game is ruined and made massively complicated and frustrating by endless levelling up, currency collection, timed upgrades, unlocking parts, continuous prompts to purchase ‘special deal’ items with real money, constant buffering while it loads things from a server, and far more modes than is necessary or enjoyable. I understand the need to monetise these games but it just gets in the way of actually playing. On top of that, the game itself just isn’t very good. The power and aiming system is boring, based on just a simple meter, coupled with a daft and overly complicated distance measuring system, and there feels very little connection with actually aiming and swinging a club in real life. After 45 minutes or so of play, I am deleting this. If you’re a golf obsessive, you might like it, but I would highly advise against wasting your time..Version: 1.51.0

✓ Inconsistent 😡😡This game is beautifully developed with stunning graphics and good options to improve your golfer (although the in app purchases are quite expensive for the better equipment- which you will definitely need to compete). My issue with this app is the massive inconsistencies with distance and green speeds, you can work out how hard you need to hit a ball taking into account wind speeds and come up massively short, repeat the same on a different hole with the same conditions and you over shoot the green. It’s insanely frustrating. I would only recommend this app if you are willing to spend £50+ for better equipment. The online competitions can be very laggy, if if you have high speed internet. I would recommend this app, but be prepared for some inconsistent shots which will leave you disappointed..Version: 1.50.3
✓ Very disappointingThe developers of this game do not care about you or your experience playing the game. The amount of money they expect you to hand over is beyond ridiculous. To anyone who says “that’s just what golf is like” shame on you. We are in the midst of a gaming era where even playing fields are key to the success of a positive gaming community. Look at the way fornite and pub G have done it and those are just two mainstream examples. I have spent zero money on this game because the second you open the app it just screams “pay to play”. Apparently it also doesn’t matter how much you spend, the game will continue to rig you and take money out of your wallet. If you want to play golf games this should be one of your last options unless you make high 6 figures and can just throw money on gaming. Get an xbox one or PC and just play Golf Club 2019. One time purchase, PGA licensing, fully customizable, and you can play almost any course you can think of. One of the best communities and team of developers that actually care about their users. ✓ Awful - Like they didn’t even try - would give zero if I couldHorribly unrealistic game if you play golf, incredibly frustrating to play how little thought has gone into it. The play out of the rough/brush at all making your shot useless and go 5-10 yards on a full swing is insanity. The short game mechanics are dreadful to try and make sense of, the yardages, interactions with lies, types of shots etc just make no sense and have no consistency and are not similar to actual golf at all. Green reading for putts is also way off with the amount of break they read into the greens even on short putts which when coupled with extreme speed greens make putting basically impossible. To cap it off if you want to get anywhere you need to invest large amounts of money to buy gear, the stock gear is utterly useless. Don’t waste your time. ✓ If you don’t want to spend money and happy to lose then this game is for you!Play other games and purchase monthly passes etc but this game is ridiculous when it comes to in game purchases. 3555 credits to purchase top end driver which is equivalent to roughly $50 au. That is for one club!! Haven’t purchased a single item due to the exuberant prices. Developers such as Supercell target their audience much better when it comes to $$. Maybe WGT could take that on board and one day I may part with some coin. Until then it’s the good ole starter pack for me. The game itself is good with the exception of rough and bunker shots. ✓ Players beware these are thievesSo after playing the game for a fair few years and spent hundreds of $$$$ to get good gear I log onto my account to find it’s been disabled, when you ask why the customer support say you of a violation of their terms and conditions, regardless of how many times you prove them wrong they just ban your account. Someone who you beat or doesn’t like you can accuse you of doing something wrong and WGT will just take your account away..Version: 1.71.1
✓ RubbishGraphics are good and the idea is great but unless your willing to spend $80-$150 of your real money on better clubs don’t bother because you’ll never exceed through the game. I was only playing the game for 3 days and ranked as an amateur getting matched up to play people who were legend tier with clubs that had the capacity to hit 50+ yards further than any of the ones I could afford in game. The physics behind this don’t make sense either. You can set your pin to whatever distance you want within range and have to take the wind into accomodation. With saying this if you have a tail wind then clearly the ball shouldn’t need to be hit to full capacity to reach your pin due to a tail wind pushing it, yet you can have a tail wind and hit the ball harder than the distance is required but yet still fall short of your mark. ✓ Great game - poor sentimentI was playing with one but then my son logged me out. When I went back on I ended up setting up another account as I didn’t realise this was against the rules (I’m sure it is somewhere in the lengthy terms and conditions). Anyway, I was abruptly disabled. I now fear to have been banned. This is a little ‘power trippy’ on the developers part, surely a bit harsh for what is quite a innocent mistake (not like I’ve been trying to hack them). ✓ Frustrating after a whileThe game is very good initially. The problems start once you reach the master stage. Unless you pay for credits to get the better clubs, especially the expensive driver then you have no chance to compete on a level footing. If you put in a game against a pro or tour pro then you have to hit the ball sometimes 50 yards further than they do. If they have purchased the better driver then you literally have no chance. ✓ Dishonest cheats or genuine glitches?The game started off very well. Game speed is good and graphics very good. However, the game becomes harder as you progress through the levels but not in a fair way. Levelling up should be playing in different weather conditions or playing opponents of a similar skill level. Unless you have really expensive equipment, you can’t win. So the ones that spend the most are the winners. So there is a work around - you can complete business surveys that offer substantial game credits. Only problem is they first ask you a range of questions just to determine if you qualify for the survey. If you don’t qualify, you get credited with 5 insignificant credits. The qualifying questions normally take 1/3 of the time to complete the whole survey, so typically a survey might offer 200 credits for 15 minutes of your time and then bomb you out as not suitable after 5 minutes and give you a 5 credit tip. ✓ Great game...that often decides who winGraphics are well done although views are inconsistent from course to course. Lots of cheats play, just like sandbaggers in real life. Lots of fake “hacks” and amateurs that run in 50 foot putts, make shoots from rough, traps, etc. to inches, etc. The biggest issue is the game appears to decide who wins. Lots of putts left right on the lip when the putt has been hit with more than enough speed. Balls that go in hazards that the actual shot hit was nowhere close to the hazard. Chip ins, hole in ones that come from players with limited skills. Lot of an opponent running in a 30 foot putt on fast greens to tie and force a playoffs. Clubs going too far or only 80% of the distance they should, taking wind into consideration. Clubs that have different distances based on course you are playing. I've pretty much loss my amusement with this game for these reasons. Same club, with same spin set...some check up and stop, next one rolls 5 feet past, next one backs up 10 feet. My favorite is the Pebble Beach the par four hole that you hit the second shot over the cliff to the hole below. The shot is downhill, but if you don’t play it like the shot is uphill, you will leave the shot well short. Nothing is right with what’s shown on that shot...you just have to learn to adjust from experience. ✓ Could be amazing, with workThis game has so many positives, and aesthetically looks incredible. However, because the realism is achieved by photos, it means sometimes you have no view of the shot you’re about to hit, which makes it a complete guess. The camera should always be behind your golfer or from the perspective of your golfers eyes, to make it feel more realistic. The other problem is the rough. If you hit it off the fairway, or miss the green slightly, you are in a world of trouble. The lie penalties of 30-40% seem fair, but it means you almost have no shot, and have to club up 3 or 4 clubs to try and achieve the same distance, which is unrealistic. This would be workable, but when you club up, it becomes harder to escape from the rough with say, a 4 iron, when you’d usually be using a more lofted 7 iron. I understand the rough should be a penalty, but it’s almost like a stroke penalty at times. Aside from these two horrible features, this game is brilliant and is as good a golf sim as you’ll find on the App Store. ✓ Was good at first...So first off let me say this game is enjoyable until you start to get good and then it’s all about buying stuff and spending money. When you first start out the game play is fun and does a decent job of simulation. Once you level up enough and start to become “competitive” that’s when it becomes obvious that you will get any further until you spend some money on clubs, balls, gear, whatever in order to continue to level up and be able to compete. ✓ High Quality but Too Much InconsistencyThis is the most realistic golf game there is for iOS. The courses look beautiful and the head-to-head competition makes it matter more. Others have discussed the expensive balls that run out of hits quickly. Unfortunately, the free basic ball hurts your game badly. However, my biggest issue is the inconsistency in the AI. It actually seems like it chooses the winner at times. You consider the wind speed and direction, choose the best club for the shot, and determine what percentage of the power meter you want to hit with, based on the club’s maximum distance. With practice, you gradually get better at this process and you become more and more accurate. Unfortunately, there are times where the game decides that, regardless of your skills and how you play, your ball is going somewhere like a bunker, water hazard, or just way too far or short. Several times, I have had a ball go 20-30 yards beyond the club’s maximum distance while hitting at less than full power into a 15-20mph wind. This often happens when there is a bunker or water hazard behind the green and the game apparently wants me to go there. Of course, putting me in the water means the expensive ball I purchased is now lost and I have to pay more if I want to get a new one. ✓ Realistic but needs some tweaks I thinkI started playing this game, on an iPad, during the first lockdown having played it years ago on the PC. I have reached Legend level and although the game is a good simulation, there are some issues that prevent me giving a higher rating. First, it has become a bit boring as there are not enough courses. Secondly, because of the level I have reached, I’m fed up of playing the courses with the same pin positions and same green speeds in ranked games. It is just daft that as soon as you reach a certain level the green speeds need to be a certain speed, very fast in my case, all the time. For variety, would it not be better to mix it up, varying the green speeds with the difficulty of the pin locations; faster greens easier pin location, slower green difficult pin location? I also think there are inconsistencies with some shots. Shots seem to react differently from the similar lies and the same wind on different courses. ✓ Great game but many flawsI’ve started to love this game very much because of its realism and ability to level up and feel like I’m working for something. However, it is nearly impossible to get high-end clubs, clothes, or balls because nearly everything takes WGT credits which can basically only be obtained by purchasing them for an outrageous price or watch garbage ads for 2 coins a pop. Although this is very annoying, this isn’t even the worst part...The matchmaking in this game is absolutely horrendous and many times the game decides it wants to take my shot wherever it wants. I find myself playing against players who have brand new titleist or taylormade clubs with ProV1s at level 99 meanwhile I’ve been playing for a week and am not even level 30. Very. Annoying. Also, the game often chooses where my ball goes for me despite how well I line my shot up, play the wind, time my shot perfectly, and use the correct club. It will go far too short or it will push my ball off the back of the green with full backspin. Great potential just needs many bug and balancing fixes..Version: 1.62.0

✓ Good at first, but need to spend big bucks to gain more enjoymentThe novelty of the game wears off; initially I really liked it. But there are a few major flaws that ruin it for me and others who I have spoken with. Firstly, it heavily favours those who are willing to spend money on equipment; from a business perspective, that makes sense, so I can live with that. The major drawback is the A.I. inconsistency, particularly with the short game. At least once a round an A.I. fault will lead to a grossly inconsistent shot which can ruin your entire round; e.g. you’ll hit an approach shot with a ‘full’ PW with 100% shot power and it’ll go a fifth of the distance that it was supposed to..Version: 1.40.1
✓ Wgt reviewGood game but still haven't change the bad views when hitting a shot or putting. How can we read a putt when on a 45 degree angle. Needs to be directly behind the golfer in line with the pin. I complained about this 5 yrs ago and i stopped playing. Also when hitting over water, seems to over do a marginally bad shot and puts you in it. I even go up a club, 1 mm off line and in she goes. ✓ A lot to like - but a lot to really hate too.I’ve played WGT for a few days now and while it’s overall a polished, good looking golf sim with some genuine realism it has more than a few niggles. The reliance on photos for the holes means you have stunningly replicated courses but leaves some shots with very limited views. There is a very steep learning curve - especially when it comes to putting. It’s also hard to get the info you need on things like green speed - one qualifying round I played at Pebble Beach had very unforgiving greens like glass. There seems to be some inconsistencies with how much of an effect rough or sand can have on the ball’s playability too - sometimes a ‘30-40%’ lie will mean taking two or three clubs more on a shot and other times - especially around the green - it will have no effect on the ball at all. The club rental system - along with several other features - is basically just a money grab too. Plus the UI is not exactly simple. You have to flick through clubs in your equipment instead of it just moving to the one you touch. Plus you have to unequip a club first before replacing it with a new one I also had several erroneous error messages whenever I tried renting a club - either ‘not connecting’ (yet I’d still get the club), telling me it had run out of time when it was still valid or offering me clubs only to say I didn’t qualify for them. ✓ DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON THIS GAMEInitially the game is fun, but eventually the inconsistencies and obvious intrusions in the game get too frustrating and almost crimina to continue paying for anything (especially balls). It’s just stupid to spend money on a game that can randomly take your stuff. What do I mean by inconsistencies and intrusions? Well, too often you are calculating and executing your shots well, then suddenly the game decides randomly that one or more of your shots shouldn’t work and so, even though you calculate and execute the shot perfectly, it ends up in a major hazard, or worse in the water or out of bounds where you lose your ball. That is super frustrating when, if you are buying balls, it costs you an expensive ball. So when the game gets to decide the quality of your game and takes your paid-for-with-real-money balls randomly and sometimes pretty obviously intentionally, it loses its appeal. So don’t waste your money buying balls and clubs because while they allow your game to improve, the computer will still shank your shots and take your balls regardless of your execution or the quality of clubs and balls. Just learn how to use the free clubs and balls really well and you can still have fun and win some tournaments..Version: 1.77.0
✓ Frustrating for an actual golferFirst off as many people have mentioned the graphics are great as is the ability to play on real courses. However there are certain aspects to the game that make it so painful to play. 1. Distance - unless you spend money your player is awful and hits the ball nowhere. This doesn’t change even if you level up. 2. Putting - it is so frustrating trying to putt, again unless you spend money to upgrade your putter, you’ll almost certain 3 putt more holes than not 3. Approach shots - flags are often at the front of greens and all iron shots seem to roll out at least ten yards. This may change with better paid clubs I’m not sure. 4. Chipping - Delicate chips around the edge of the green are impossible as it seems the ball has to fly off the club face or it doesn’t move at all. Also ‘flop’ shots are a joke. The animation is all wrong and again like the iron approach shots they roll out further than they fly. It’s like the creators don’t know what they are. 5. Screen size - Having just moved from an iPhone XS to a 12 mini. I’ve found the app no longer fits properly on the screen. Anyway sometimes I just need a golf fix so I have no other options..Version: 1.66.0
✓ Violent graphic adsI noticed whilst playing WGT Golf how graphic and disturbing the Ads for certain games are. One game had a guy with a gun up to a lady’s head with the intention to shoot her. Other ads with killing and sword fights. I think there is enough violence in the world without having to watch it while playing a game of golf. Question is do these Ads make you feel good when you watch them ? Something is wrong if they do. I don’t mind ads that aren’t violent and graphic. I am sure a lot of younger children are being exposed to these Ads. These Ads effect people..Version: 1.58.2
✓ Too inconsistentThis is by far the best golf game available. There is one huge problem though. It’s a inconsistent as hell. I deleted the game as a level 84 Tour Master. That’s a bit of time and money spent on one game. I didn’t gripe too much about having to pay for better clubs or balls. What finally did it for me was going from 900,000 plus coins to under 2500. I was constantly paired with players 8-10 strokes better than me and 8-10 levels ahead of me. Not like I was opting to play out of my league either, I was playing games set up for my level. I’d get used to playing the wind or uphill downhill and something would change in the game and my clubs would either fall short, or go too far past, left or right of the hole. It’s a shame because it could be a great game if they’d stop manipulating and changing it. Interesting thing happened. I complained months back about this same problem. Suddenly I’m hitting shots like I used to and was paired with lesser opponents regularly. But, something changed again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice........keep your game. ✓ Long time playerBeen going over 3 years & would hate to lose daily points & go back to zero just because I lose WiFi, not easy to make sure you can help it when travelling. Fed up with keeping just building up credits for hundreds on all those bits of apparel which is useless. Also when doing the spin it only starts the clock again when you do it, not at same time each day which playing a game does. Apart from that enjoy playing is ok.Version: 1.65.0
✓ Developer Doesn’t Play GolfWGT is a decent game because there are lot’s of courses to choose from and you can compete head to head or play by yourself. There are 3 minimum aspects that detract from the experience. 1) the club you use is chosen for you and although you can change it, the info provided i.e. yardage, elevation, wind is not reliable. So there develops a mistrust that is not beneficial. 2) When playing a match w a low handicap master your ball goes anywhere but where you aim it. Shots that you make all the time suddenly go bunker, water, or lost. Obviously this is due to coding which alters the chances of you performing well against a player who has a higher rating. 3) For creative players who know how to get all kinds of shot characteristics out of each club, you will be supremely disappointed. For instance if you prefer to use a putting stroke with a 7iron from the 2nd cut to cozy up or hole your putt, forget about it. Subtlety is not possible with the wedges and even drawing and fading from the tee is not real but manufactured. Any golfer knows that a draw is created by slightly closing the face to the path and just the opposite for a fade. It’s apparent that the developers don’t play actual golf. Too bad. ✓ Not FunIf you actually want to enjoy a golf game then don’t bother downloading this. It is completely inconsistent with the way shots play, putting is ridiculous etc. I am an average golfer in real life which can frustrate even professionals to throw and break clubs but even I don’t get that bad, but this game in 3 holes will have me ready to throw my phone in frustration. I have rage quit every single time I’ve attempted to play it and I’ve kept it because I like the graphics and want to have fun playing with it but I’ve finally given up and am deleting this. ✓ The overriding sensation: sllloooowwwwThere's a lot to like here: the photorealistic graphics of the courses are stunning. The gameplay however is abysmal. It's just so incredibly slow. On an iPad Pro it's taking maybe 25 seconds to load each hole. The inter-match sequences where you get awarded coins and new clubs etc are mind-numbingly glacial - it can take a minute or more for the pointless graphical froufaraw to complete, when ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS PLAY GOLF. Frustrations abound, particularly when it comes to things like timeouts. You'll sit there for well over a minute after your shot, waiting for your opponent to play. If they go over the time limit, THEY SHOULD SUFFER A PENALTY. LIKE, LOSE ONE SHOT OR LOSE THE MATCH. But no. This game simply lets them have another go. This is really not worth the effort. ✓ Solid but the same for 10 years... make some changesThis game is a very solid realistic golf game . Definitely the best mobile golf game for sure. This is ... it’s been this way for 10years!!! My goodness.... change some things people. The only thing that gets revamped is equipment and tournament promotions or little challenges. There’s no career mode which is stupid. No commentary, no fans or sounds of applause. No new courses ( I know Torrypines is in the works ) . Also.... now with so many sports games being compatible with controller support, there should be the option to play WGT with a controller connected to the phone. I play NBA, Madden, racing, and Call of Duty on a controller connected to my iPhone. Why can’t WGT allow that as well??? Get with the time WGT. Don’t be like the actual sport of Golf, and stay stagnant. Improve the game by making it more easier to play not using the phone display and by adding commentary, fans, and a season or career mode. So that there’s an actual schedule of events to be played. Don’t refer to yourself as realistic but you don’t have a realistic approach to the game ..Version: 1.69.0
