✓ Second review after correctionI have been using Etoro for a few weeks now. After a initial issue was addressed I am completely happy with this app. There was a hiccup concerning the cryptocurrency ADA as apparently it was a new offering. The attention to the concerns and were quickly addressed and issues evaporated. I heartily can recommend this application and the exchange. Third review and I just closed my first cryptocurrencies... I recommend using the simulation to get the hang of the system. I looked at it...played with it for a few minutes and let it run in the background but did not take full advantage of being able to go through the motions and learn the functions properly. LOL... it was irrational of me and I felt stupid... but everything worked out. It could have been easier and potentially better though. I would not have made a buy when trying to sell. ✓ Good overall but login process is a bit archaicGood platform overall for its core function, however app logs itself out after 2-3 days, even if you select stay logged in. ✓ Amazing app, and good brokerI will start saying that those who complain about eToro taking their money, for the most part lost it fair and square because they did bad risky trades. No scalping allowed however, and sometimes spreads open way too much, and their liquidity during big volatility like when oil went below 0 is not the best. Also the app sometimes lags but I hadnt gotten a full crash since the last update, so I cant complain about that. Other than that, the app is amazing and it does everything you can expect in regards of trading and managing open trades. If anything there are some limitations that based on the limitations of the broker but in general eToro has never failed me in regards to deposits or payments..Version: 273.0.0
✓ Good app, why so many bad reviews?Developers, perhaps you could shed some light on the situation for new users and explain why there are more than a handful of reviews complaining about their funds not being able to be withdrawn. I’ve wanted a few friends to use this app and they see some of the bad review, (even though there are more good ones,) and say that I’m crazy to use an app when there are more complaints about funds unavailability than there should be. Is it perhaps because US Customers are ignoring the rules and signing up anyway, and in order to stay compliant, is it a bit of a process then to get their money back after they violated rules?.Version: 176.0.0

✓ Easy way to get into the share market with no set up costsEasy platform to understand and lots of options to choose from. With bank interest so low if you have money to gamble well worth the risk. I chose blue chip companies that paid dividends every 3 months. Within the first year I received payments and my investment has rose 7.5%. You can lose and my money dipped during the outbreak of Covid and the Russia/ Ukraine conflict. My investment has rose again so interesting seeing my money earning more interest than sitting in a savings account. ✓ Like the premiseI’ve quite enjoyed having a play with the stock market the past 6m. I’ve no clue what I’m doing but it’s been very easy to deposit funds and make some trades. However I am hating the new redesigned app. There used to be a little summary bar at the bottom that told me my overall profits/loss of all my investments compared to the money I’ve invested. This has disappeared. I also seem to have half my info in Pounds sterling and half in US$ which is really irritating and I can’t seem to find the setting any more to change it to only one currency..Version: 353.0.0

As per always you need to inform yourself,,,, yes eToro makes money out of spreads and fees and yes you can lose money if you are ill informed. ✓ ComparisonIn comparison to other apps with the same purpose (or so they claim) I’ve tried previously, this is the one I’ve settled with and started investing with. The competitive apps had too many poor reviews and stories about people losing money and after multiple failed attempts to contact them, they are still out of pocket and most importantly not even given an explanation. Every app will have at least some negative reviews and it’s common to see people unable to even contact some apps creators to raise their concerns however EToro actually looks as if they actually have people there to try and solve any problems..Version: 440.0.0
✓ Etoro app is getting worse (update)From starting the chart settings (MA, RSi, MACD, etc) can be saved for my next checking; but now all the chart setting will disappear when you switch to the other view of stock. IT IS VERY ANNOYING! It’s wasting time to add all the line/indicators again and again. I asked my customer manager and he said ProCharts can keep the same settings and apply for all stocks but only available in desktop version. And recently, I just realise that searching stocks in etoro is also an BIG ISSUE. When I search a stock and click it, the app won’t let you check the stock; instead it will go back to the original searching screen. I can’t check the searched stock or add it to my favourite. WHAT’S GOING ON? Please fix the problems at your earliest convenience. I have tried a number of similar trading apps and etoro is the worst so far. Can etoro do any better? **************** The customer service helped to allocate a suitable expert and she did help me to resolve my problems. And all happened within 24 hours. SO SURPRISED! ✓ Easy to useSeeing a lot of negative reviews here so thought I would post my own more positive one. It seems a lot of unhappy people have jumped into eToro here without much trading knowledge and then rated the app poorly when they lose money. I was new myself 18mo the ago and I’d advise you to just dip your toe in first, watch some of the many training videos, ask for help and advice from the community perhaps? I’ve personally found the copy trader function is great, if you want to get involved in Crypto without the hassle of actually owning the coin it’s perfect, just trade the peaks and troughs. As people have mentioned you can definitely lose money, but in my experience it’s a great trading tool for someone who doesn’t want to be chasing the stocks daily..Version: 353.0.0

✓ Good so far...I have only had the app for a few days and it is good and easy to use. It could use some adjustments like better security. There should be an option to always ask for Face ID or passcode when opening app. You also have to understand that there are two prices for crypto, a selling price and a buying price. So the price you see isn’t always what you are going to pay for or receive. It’s like that with most cryptos but if you are new it can be a little confusing. No fees unless you place an order vs open market buying and selling. Overall happy so far....Version: 292.0.0
✓ I want to buy XRP Now!I am a beginner at Etoro, but a seasoned expert on other exchanges. I want to see exact purchase prices with modifications available by myself. ✓ Lots of Great FunctionsI’ve tried other platforms, and eToro offers options many others don’t. The “copy” function is a great way to both learn about crypto and to invest in a way that is a bit less risky (but remember there is still significant risk!). The ability to build a virtual portfolio is also a nice way to learn and figure out where to put your money before committing to a trade. There are fees, so think about that before trading too often or making frequent withdrawals. As usual with crypto, your best bet is to be careful where you invest, and don’t react to either fear or greed as things go up and down. If you copy successful traders and stay patient, you can make money over the long term (but again, remember there are risks!!)..Version: 321.0.0
✓ Excellent platformI have just closed my account with Coinbase after a real fiasco. I made 2 purchases with GYEN and my account showed £4600 profit however I was not able to sell as my account was suspended! While my account was suspended I kept loosing money! Coinbase said that it was due to a computer glitch but although I complained after many emails I was unable to get any compensation. I have now closed my account with Coinbase and will do further trading with Etoro as I have never had any problems.Version: 416.0.0
✓ GREAT APP ✅I was so impatient to carry out necessary research but I really wanted to jump on the crypto trading and investment buzz. Unfortunately for me, I invested 90,459 USD worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 362,800 USD within a couple of weeks. But I didn’t realize I was dealing with a scam company, until I tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. I needed my money back at all cost, because I could not afford to let it go. So I tried all possible means to make sure I recovered my scammed bitcoin. I did a lot of online search for help, and tried to see if there were other people who had any similar experience. I stumbled upon a cryptocurrency forum were a couple of people mentioned that they had been through the same process but were able to recover their lost cryptocurrency, funds with the help of Ganesh on Alexcybertech01 At gmailcom, So I file a report and he was able to help me get back all my lost funds withing two weeks I feel indebted to him. Just watch out for price instabilities in the first minute after market open. I have been told this is a standard thing. Also would prefer if they reduced their withdrawal fee from $25 to a bit lower. Not crazy about the social network aspect, just lots of comments from the blind leading the blind. The copy feature is nice though, and there are lots of different types of copy fund on offer. Having a community timeline relating to each stock is great, some key stats on each company. Etoro make their money on the difference between buy/sell price & the real stock price - which I prefer rather than a monthly fee for account access. Withdrawals are only $5 per payment but you can get premium benefits depending on your level of equity in your account. Spend more, more get more. ✓ Kids the casinos are closed so get on the bull!Given the absence of insight/sophistication in the majority of community comments and acknowledging that this is a data play wherein the users are paying for the “free” service with clipping margins on exchange rates etc it’s hard to recommend what appears an overall rather unhealthy cultural trend. eToro is one of the leaders in the growing wave of addiction breeding / gamification of markets fin tech app culture. It will be interesting to see if regulators herald it’s end or if it will implode... All that said in comparison to what else is out there it works and is the best example I’ve experienced thus far. Beware no one will be holding your hand (customer service has been outsourced to “the aforementioned community” or reddit) and the enticed leveraging can lead to serious personal and social problems. ✓ Great for beginnersEToro is simple to use and very easy to wrap your head around for beginners but when trading CFD’s there could be a little more with warning about how risky it can be especially with leverage. Spreads on crypto are quite high and also the price is set by EToro, loosely based off of other exchanges. If you want to buy crypto there’s better platforms but if you want simplicity and all your portfolio on one platform with stocks and other investment avenues, EToro works well. Probably the nicest UI for mobile and Web with slight UI frustrations but hopefully with later updates and improvements those inconveniences are fixed..Version: 316.0.0

If you invest a minimum of $5k, you get a dedicated account manager to answer questions via email or phone by appt., which is a big help. My main issue is that I’d like to see more sophisticated trading data - specifically “live” charts - and some differences in the way orders for sells/close, stop losses, and take profits are entered because it’s not easy to follow or understand without some background research..Version: 320.0.0

✓ Example of Idiots Everywhere.A review says a guy lost his money after opening his account on etoro after deciding to go with another company. He closed his account before withdrawing his money! Well no wonder!! I’ve never had an issue with withdrawing money. You also need to be able to read and understand what your reading. Etoro has a minimum deposit to open of $10 and to withdraw money you must have a minimum of $30 to withdraw your funds. Reading is a Very useful skill lol!!!.Version: 543.0.0

It does have lots of education as well but when i read it , i need a follow up explanation and that’s where my partner comes him . It is a great environment to learn from others and/or attend workshops/seminars to enhance your knowledge. The USP is the ability of any user to copy the portfolios of other, often far more experienced investors automatically and grow (or shrink!) your portfolio hand in hand with theirs at no extra cost. I recommend eToro to people with a decent level of understanding of finances, trading and investing. As for the negative reviews which accuse this platform of “scamming” its customers or otherwise taking their money from them by some form of coercion - very sadly, I can clearly see that majority of people who wrote these have no idea about finances/investing/trading and treat the platform like you would a candy shop/get rich quick free for all. It doesn't tell you everything you need to do from the get go, you get emails later on with more steps, and then you keep getting emails telling you that you still need to do things you've already done. I assume once you can actually use it it's fabulous. It will be good to add cUstomisation for ST and TP in single click orders or when you click on buy/sell, set defaults from settings and make it easy to enter other values. Also dropdown is not good control for order/trade. It will be good to have a switch or tab for it. It doesnt make much sense for me to have tabs for buy/sell in that popup because i will open trade to do just one of those two and wont be changing my mind at the time of placing trade or order. ✓ Good app for stocksI like that this app is user friendly. I can check on my stocks wherever and whenever I want as long as I have internet connection. Deposit and withdrawal of funds are easy. I withdrew funds and it came within 48 hours. My advice to beginners is before trading or investing consider taking a stock investment or trading course first. Gain knowledge and know about risk management. If you don’t, you will lose money and you only have yourself to blame for decisions you make. ✓ Novice investorReally like eToro. Only been with them for a couple of years and unfortunately not able to invest a lot, but I get enjoyment out of my wee pot. App makes it easy to understand what I need to know. Sometimes my pot goes up and sometimes down, but I can see plainly what’s happening. Also I took out some profit of a few hundred pounds and it was easy and honest to get my money into my bank account. I’m sure the app could be better used by people that are savvy, but I’m quite happy getting involved n a small way and lucky enough to make the odd profit for a treat now and then.
