In most difficult times Kabbage closed its doorsAfter accessing the funds 2 times paying it back earlier than due,now when I thought I could get funds again for few weeks this company says that at this time I’m unable to access funds. They charge a high amount of interest when economy is good but when people most needed they shut down they’re loan program. I’ve should’ve gone to any local branch of any big bank’s the very first time..Version: 4.1.0

First lending company to bail out...I have been using Kabbage since 2015, withdrawal money many times and always paid in time. When COVID-19 hit, they were the very first and only lending company that blocked my borrowing privileges. Just like that they were gone. It’s been now 7 months and no update on the account. I am sure they will reply to this review saying “we are sorry and that we are reviewing all the accounts, and trying to restore borrowing privileges for small businesses”. But, the reality is that they are not. I will never refer nor use Kabbage again. If you need working capital for your small business, I recommend you to work with PayPal Working Capital, PayPal Loans, Kapitus, Fundbox or any other reliable company. Kabbage is not one of them..Version: 5.0.0

Poor customer serviceI applied a month ago for the PPP loan and it STILL hasn’t even been submitted to the SBA. You can’t reach an actual person to get an update on how long until they submit and it feels as if there is no customer service. Then I applied through a small Seattle bank and they had it reviewed and approved by the SBA within 24 hours. Kabbage either is too overwhelmed or putting the smaller loan requests on the back burner like the big banks did 👎.Version: 4.1.0

No Basic transaction informationFor a 2024 app, I dunno why this app doesnt show the actual information “title” for each transaction, shouldn’t that be one of the basic info to show for a bank app? Transactions only shows as “Online Transfer/ Payment: Credit” or “Online Transfer/ Payment: Debit”. Then when you select a specific transaction it only shows a reference number. How would one know what a specific transaction was for?.Version: 12.4.2

Trash. Too many bugs with unanswered solutionsTo be honest, at first, the app was great. However, overtime the app has been flooding with silly bugs that should have easy solutions but for whatever reason don’t. For example, if you add different types of services, there is a bug that prevents the list from coming up in order for you to select when using the mobile app. This is difficult for someone who is on the go where I’m forced to create all my invoices from my desktop. This is extremely disappointing and one of the few reviews that I have left in a long time..Version: 12.2.1

Credit that disappears when you need it mostI had a Kabbage line of credit for two years which I used when needed to fill shortfalls, and fuel growth. When Covid hit, I had no reason to draw down any funds but felt secure because I had access to a line of credit I could pull from if needed. To my surprise and disappointment... I logged in one day to review an upcoming payment and noticed my available credit showed zero. Kabbage had decided to stop lending, and did not announce it to anyone who already had an existing line! Yep, that’s right... poof gone! The line of credit I had relied on vanished into thin air... even though I had never missed a payment and was only carrying a small balance. Once I noticed I immediately paid off the balance, and will NEVER use Kabbage again! My company works with over 200 small businesses in the bookkeeping and accounting space... I would regularly recommend Kabbage to my clients as a great tool to have in their toolkit... Kabbage will never get another recommendation from us, and I will actively discourage clients from using Kabbage in the future. Unbelievable..Version: 4.1.2

This app does not workEvery time I log in on the app on my iPhone, it just hangs and doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried so many times to use the app to check my balance or just do the most basic function like logging in but I can’t even access my account once it logs in. It just shows the blue horizontal line going sideways and lags and does absolutely nothing. What is the point of having an app if you can’t even access it? The only way to access the account is a good old desktop/laptop which defeats the purpose of even having this app. Please fix the bugs!.Version: 11.0.0

TOTAL SCAM!!!! BEWAREI applied for the PPP Loan through Kabbage, was approved and instructed to verify my bank account once Kabbage made two “micro transactions” well that was over a week ago and still no transactions to verify. I’ve called the customer service number 36 times and just keep being hung up on and no one answers. I’ve emailed their customer service over a dozen times, still silence no reply!!! I’ve even DM’d them on Facebook and Twitter multiple times and still have gotten ZERO RESPONSE!! They can email me that my loan will be removed if I don’t verify the account but there is NO WAY for me to verify it!!! This is a total scam of a company that feels like they’re stealing from those of us that need help during this pandemic!! DO NOT USE KABBAGE FOR ANYTHING!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬if I could I’d give them Negative 5 stars!!.Version: 4.1.2

Come on AmexI’m a new small business owner I NEED something stable that works American Express even credit unions that don’t update their apps regularly is more stable than this. Invest in these apps or I’ll have to move along. UPDATE so there is also a glitch in the app where when you try to do the Amex payment accept it gives you no time frame or information it’ll just say denied due to time which it was literally only 10 seconds that passed seeing if I needed to give anyone anymore information. I called the customer service they said they couldn’t reopen the application and it was my fault because I didn’t use a browser I used the app. I’m a business that’s on the go I’m not at home all day so how is that fair I even offered to send what I needed they said no we can’t that’s ridiculous I never had problems like this!.Version: 12.2.0

Poof and they’re gone..My experience was like a lot of others.. had a small line of credit. Small business starting out, never missed a payment. Paid in full when the pandemic hit. They took the line of credit back.. no explanation. Figured hey, tuff times for everyone but now a year and more later…. Nothing, looks like they even switched to another company or something but nothing for the ones that stuck it out with the company. Really was a waste of time..Version: 6.4.2

Not a good start!Most of the process of setting up the account was without issue except needing multiple documents during the setup. I received my first checks from a client and tried to use the mobile app check deposit and error after error even after following all of the instructions with the check being on a dark background and endorsed the way they prompt the user to on the back. Beyond frustrating issue trying to put money into the account. Front of the check is never accepted is but the back is always automatically accepted. I tried calling and they basically just told me to keep trying. Definitely not a good start..Version: 6.5.2

Half-finished and embarrassing messWhy on earth did amex kill the business checking app (that actually worked) in favor of this mess? Marketing emails from amex promised one place with easy access to everything. It doesn't even have credit card management - just links to open the standard amex credit card app. Half the time, account pages are just blank or json garbage. App is terrible for a small businessI appreciate AMEX and them providing a checking. Two issues: many places don’t recognize Amex checking, only Amex savings so integration with other banks/entities has been limited for me. The other issue is the app. My normal every day personal checking account has more capability than this bare bones app. I’d hardly call it a banking app. You can’t do anything in it. You can’t categorize expenses and my other accounts linked to the dashboard fall off regularly. Had I known the Amex checking was this bare bones, I would have gone with another bank. I expected a whole lot more from Amex. I have the delta reserve and platinum and believed that’s the level of app I would get with banking. Not so…it doesn’t even come close. Waste of time!I open an account with kabbage and i couldn't add my paypal or ebay they told me someone else had my personal paypal account in their account (im a single person and only people living in my house are kids and they dont have my paypal/ebay password) so they told me they were gonna review this like 3-4 days ago and call me back well i never got that call and this morning i decide to call and they told me the closed my account and when i asked about my paypal they told me they didnt find another account with my paypal/ebay account .... then he told me i cant open an account anymore (no reason).Version: 2.19.5

Never worksI’ve had the app for a month now. Hasn’t worked or allowed me to use it after I log in with my credentials. There isn’t even a chat option in the online browser. Now I’m not able to use the business checking app and not able to access it conveniently on my phone. One of a few huge issues with Amex and there tech issues with every account I have with them..Version: 12.2.1

Not GreatThe lines of credit are much smaller than you’d initially think. And if you’re thinking that over time they’ll increase your line of credit with good repayment that’s also a pipe dream. We paid off our line months early and in full then Kabbage decreased our line of credit more than seven times less than what it was initially. The income generated by the business didn’t change. No reason to do it and never tried to offer any good explanation. Couldn’t even talk to the person that made the decision to get an explanation..Version: 2.19.5

Can’t link accounts“Attempting to link my business checking accounts on the American Express app feels like entering a Kafkaesque labyrinth of digital dysfunction. You hit ‘continue’, and bam, the app crashes. This is especially galling since they axed their dedicated business checking app, leaving users stranded in a virtual no man’s land. It’s a classic case of corporate indifference – American Express, once a titan in the financial sector, now fumbles in the fintech arena like a clumsy bear in a china shop. They seem to be embracing a Silicon Valley-esque ‘move fast and break things’ mantra, but what they’re breaking is not just their technology, but also their customers’ trust. About to close ALL AmexI have Amex credit cards. Savings was going to her checking accounts.. and I had their crappy kabbage line of credit. Got a credit line. Would always disconnect from bank account so credit line would become unavailable. I finally got it to connect with multiple calls and emails to “customer service” borrower 50k work a promo interest rate. Paid it off. They increased my credit line but increased my interest rate to the max! Yea, I think not. I have an 800 credit score. Money in the bank and always pay on time. Ok, so I cancelled my kabbage line (which was disconnected again anyway) I won’t be getting their checking accounts and will be closing my credit cards with them. Find someone else to bank with. MediocreThe app is usable, but certainly a downgrade from the previous Business Checking app. My main issue is that I do not receive any notifications regarding funds coming in or out, and when I go to the notification settings in the app it's just blank. Nothing loads. Otherwise, it's okay and gets the job done, but again, the previous Business Checking app was better in regards to user interface/design..Version: 12.3.0

Horrible downgrade from Business CheckingI had such high hopes for my checking for small business. I have been an Amex card heavy user for 20 years. Such a great product with great functionality and service. Unfortunately, this product is just not ready. Amex does not know how to be a bank. Many basic banking functions are not available. I can’t see canceled checks. I can’t see which vendors I’ve paid. I can only see dates and amounts. This is worthless. I’m completely hamstrung. I can’t schedule payments to be made on specific days, only a range. I have to guess if vendors and bills will be paid on time. This is mind boggling as Amex itself is a vendor I pay! I can’t search for transactions which is going to make my taxes this year an absolute nightmare. I am a landlord and need to search for expenses by vendor, HOA association etc to claim my deductions. Honestly, my local credit union app has more functionality. Consumer insight on this product must be nonexistent. Who is steering this ship? Is it Amex Business? Cabbage? Blueprint? The branding is a mess — I don’t know why I expected otherwise. Goodbye, Amex checking. I hardly knew ye..Version: 12.2.2

Poor replacement for previous Amex checking appUsed Amex Business checking app for over a year without issue. Unfortunately it was discontinued for this useless app. I have set up face login multiple times but this app continues to lose the saved settings after a few days and I can’t log in anymore until I get back in front of my computer and collect complex password again. Also takes longer to get information on my Amex business checking account and the balances on other linked accounts are usually a day old and useless. Bring back old American Express Business checking app and stop forcing unwanted upgrades to inferior apps..Version: 12.4.1

No transaction details for business checkingIt’s absurd that Amex doesn’t include transaction level details showing where a credit or debit is coming from in the app for business checking. I only see the amounts and a transaction number. That’s not helpful at all. It’s such a basic and critical piece of data, I’m wondering who at Amex approved launching this thing without those details. Business checking has always had a problem with this and also with QuickBooks Self-Employed integration. Please fix this!.Version: 12.3.0

Extremely DisappointedKabbage claims they are "supporting" everyone in regions impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Instead, they have chosen to all but eliminate the credit lines of business owners in these regions. Their actions as a company speak so much louder than their words. As Kabbage customer for over two years, I have a solid payment track record and millions in revenue. I'm shocked at their decision to virtually eliminate my line of credit. These regional decisions were made without reviewing ANY financial information. My businesses were closed for two days, didn't sustain any damage and the only significant issue we had to work around was loss of internet service. This impact is comparable to a snow storm in the north during the winter. According to the manager I spoke with they are NOT adjusting credit lines on a case by case basis as they've publicly stated..Version: 2.7.1

Looks nice but watch outI’ve been an Amex fan since I got my first credit card in 1997; I was pretty excited to see Amex offering private savings and business checking accounts as an e-banking solution. But I discovered Amex makes it easy to transfer money into these accounts, but it’s really hard to transfer the money back OUT again, requiring you to have a waiting period with test deposits before creating new payees. As there are no options to withdraw your money in cash, once deposited, it could take a week before you could move money back out again. I found that not a sustainable solution, and switched to using Wise and Revolut to meet all my e-banking needs. I’d also argue that the CS for Amex Biz banking isn’t nearly as responsive and helpful as Amex cardholder services..Version: 12.5.0

Extremely AnnoyedEvery since the Amex and Kabbage integration began, things have been awful with the Kabbage app and now Blueprint. At times the app would be down and unable to log in or incorrect data showing OR I kept getting a loop to use my Amex User ID and Password when trying to sign on for some unexplained reason. One immediate valued feature to bring back is the Face ID! I am tired of having to authenticate via text or email EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to log in. I don’t understand why it’s so complex to merge the two business profiles together..Version: 10.0.2

Good but not GreatFirst off, I love Kabbage Checking. My only nitpick is that the transfer time to and from a funding source takes way too long. The app is mostly great, simple, straightforward and easy to navigate. Several times I’ve had to delete and re-install the app because I get a “could not lg in at this time, please try again later.” This is a big drag. I never have to do this with any of my other finance apps and it definitely diminishes the user experience. Fix this and it will be pretty nearly perfect. As of 4/28 this app is ridiculously buggy. Not able to deposit checks because it’s not possible to enter the deposit amount. Tried deleting and re-installing app several times..Version: 11.1.0

Checking accounts not ready for prime timeTheir checking account software is very buggy. Not their apps necessarily but their source software. I have made 2 mobile deposits weeks apart that show up on the account as pending for a day or two and then disappear. No messages but disappear. I called on both and they said they can’t see them on their end either. They suggested I try again which I did with the same result. That’s pretty scary. There’s no way I can use them for my business checking account..Version: 6.1.1

Bad appReally really bad app, worse than the prior Amex checking app. Now all your details of your transactions are gone. Amex checking is the worst. No QuickBooks connectivity, check clearing is delayed - simply bad. Nothing compared to the superior credit card service amex offers. All the reviews here are also for a different app called kabbage so not sure what Amex did to buy an app or a company to revamp its already and banking services.Version: 12.1.1

Often stops working and I have to delete and reinstallThis has happened at least 5 times. I don’t know why. It stops accepting the password and an error box comes up. My iOS is updated. I also wish there could be a memo for deposits and you could then tell what your deposit was from when reviewing transactions/statements..Version: 6.6.4

Not ready for businessI deposited a check on the mobile app. No word for a week. I called in and it turned out it was declined the day after I submitted it. Their backing bank, green dot, apparently denies mobile deposits often (I wrote the “for mobile deposit” line above my signature instead of below). They don’t have notifications in their system, so if I didn’t call in it never would have gotten identified. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Kabbage for small business banking..Version: 6.3.1

Better but not yet perfectStill has some flaws: - Lack of Face ID/Touch ID support means you have to type in your password every single time - Web-based business checking page. Why have an app when it sends you to a site? Makes no sense, the old business checking app at least was iOS native. - Annoying notifications that can’t go away.Version: 10.0.2

EmbarrassingI‘m amazed by all the 5 star reviews. They can’t be about this „app“. I like the Amex business checking account, with the desktop website it works quite well and is a very decent product. But this app is one of the worst I‘ve seen, quite embarrassing for a company like Amex. It is merely a poorly made webview. For example it will constantly ask you to accept cookies 😳 - if you can get past the login..Version: 12.3.0

GarbageThis app is a total piece of trash. Very rarely can I ever even log into it, and when I do, I can’t even see any transaction details, I don’t get any notifications app is a constant state of brokenness. Amex had a Business Checking account app that worked just fine, they forced me to stop using that and use this piece of work. I would expect so much more out of Amex, a world-class company, unfortunately, this app is complete trash and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Absolutely horrible..Version: 12.2.2

Low amounts high interestI used kabbage a couple times when I had a couple challenges with credit, but now that my credit is good and my business has grown my credit cards on average offer 3x the credit, miles/rewards, opportunities to pay off without interest, and better apr if I don’t pay it off right away. Kabbage is good for a tough spot when you have too, IF you know you already have the income ahead of you to pay it, but it can be a nightmare interest trap for fledgling businesses that don’t know the hole they could be digging for themselves..Version: 3.5.1

Buyer beware!Never again. My small business took out a small loan, paid it back in six months, never a day late. We are purchasing a building now and the SBA says we have a lien on our business! We are about to close, so this is a huge issue. Come to find out, Kabbage placed a lien just days after we opened the loan. They said they do that for all loans and then remove it when paid, but OOPS, they forgot to remove mine. I never would have known had it not been for a Search by the SBA! They don’t put their name on the lien, so it took some digging to get to the end of it. Like I have time for this! What a mistake that tiny loan was and also paid $1000 in interest for six months on only 10,000. What a major rip off!!!!!!.Version: 3.1.0

Honest thoughts ..Love their customer service on the phone 10/10. My only true issue is the APP! Terrrrrible.. you never know if you’ll be able to log in successfully .. and it always seems to be a fail when you need it the most. You’ll have to log in on a browser .
