✓ Broke wifi on my iPhoneI cannot connect to wi-fi on my iPhone with Freedome installed. Just turning it off doesn't resolve the issue. I have to uninstall it. It used to work fine. The issue with wifi just happened in the last few days. When I initially submitted this review I could still connect to wi-fi on my iPad with Freedome. About a week later, it started doing the same thing there - would not connect to wi-if with the app installed. This is not a free app, a fix should be a priority!!!.Version: 2.7.2

✓ Better to buy from the main website.If you buy this through the apple store the subscription only works on an iOS device, I am told there is an option to select multi platform but I can’t remember seeing it (not to say it wasn’t there). If you go to their website and purchase the subscription you can use the product across multiple platforms such as Mac OS and also iOS. If you buy through apple store and subsequently need to addto another non iOS device you will have to fork out for another subscription..Version: 2.8.9

✓ UnreliableMy devices running Freedome vpn lost internet access every now and then and didn’t recover on their own, while all other devices without Freedome were running smoohly. I stopped Freedome and the problem went away..Version: 3.4.1
✓ Very well designed and works wellI have only used this all for a short period but it's a very well designed (UI) product and very simple to get working. Basic tests shows the country based drop offs work well, would be nice to be able to see a live traffic report or summaries of active traffic using the VPN... ✓ Good App but impacts speed significantlyWorked very well on my iPhone 6s but struggles greatly on my iPhone 7 Plus. Download speed reduced by 6.9 Mbps & upload speed reduced by 5.38 Mbps on cellular with similar reductions over WiFi. ... this is a great App providing quality protection from harmful sites & trackers, however recently I’m finding I’m having to turn ‘OFF’ Freedome several times a day in order to use my internet (via Safari & Edge) as it is preventing many legitimate webpages from loading correctly, if loading at all. I’ve tried making adjustments via settings per troubleshooting but had no joy so far & starting to lose patience!.Version: 2.7.9

✓ Much better ones out there.The VPN struggled to connect to the majority of WiFi networks. It also cut the subscription 3 months before it was supposed to expire and started asking for money again, so instead of renewing with them again I simply switched to NordVPN, which I’ve had no issues with at all..Version: 3.3.1

✓ Slow and unreliableAt first the app was great! Connected fast and didn’t slow down internet speeds at all. About a month in the app would take 30-60 seconds to connect. I would have to turn off the VPN, close the app and then turn it back on for it to connect. Recently I upgraded my phone and now the App will not let me sign in and I paid for a year subscription. ✓ Poor connection qualityUsing the paid version for iPhone 5c connection errors are frequent and even reported by the app itself. High latency and noticeable slow down in internet connection speed even when using some of the closest servers. Reconnecting to server can take several minutes. Some Canadian servers appear to be blocked by certain websites. Reported all to Support but just got an auto reply. ✓ Good but no cigarYes F-Secure have developed an easy to use VPN but unfortunately the complete lack of timely technical support that actually resolved my technical issues means they receive 2 stars. Every time I've asked them a technical question about any of there products they have just pointed me to there forum. Seriously how hard is it to answer a direct question?! It's extremely difficult to get an actually strait answer most of the time. If they dramatically improved there support including offering support via social media they would receive 4.5 stars if that was possible. If the reason why they don't offer support over social media is because they have security concerns about offering support this way they should develop there own app with end to end encryption for live chat with there technical support team. So yes they have produced a VPN that works with the best GUI (Graphical User Interface) out of the many VPN's I've tested and used but that is were it ends..Version: 2.6.2
✓ Wifi doesn't work????!!! What's the point?I love this app for my mobile devices- easiest ands most reliable VPN by far. Recently when I connect to open wifi networks, it disconnects completely from wifi. ✓ Freedome and the latest iOS are not compatibleWith the latest iOS updates, I am not able to turn on Freedome in my iPhone X because the when it is “ON” the phone immediately goes to LTE. Before I knew this I talked to a genius and apple ended up giving me a new machine, only to come home and have the same problem again. Then I noticed the conflict. I’ve read ridiculous articles or I should say reviews, because anyone with the education to land a job writing an article knows that they only need one VPN, even on this apps reviewer‘s. Multiple lifetimes subscriptions to different applications? Sub subscribe to the best one, for me it’s Nord, it just depends on your needs. ✓ Cannot use in IOS and MacPurchased a 3 device subscription through App Store but it doesn’t let you use between some apple products. So if you want to use this on Mac and iOS do not purchase through the App Store and subscribe through the Freedome website for a multi device subscription. I have made this mistake assuming all my apple products would be able to use the same subscription but it will only cover my households 2 iPhones and iPad but not the iPhones and MacBook..Version: 3.1.0

✓ Hire A BabysitterI have used this VPN on my phone and iPad for years. Since my renewal is coming up next month, I checked in to make sure it was up and running. Well, apparently a new version of the ap was automatically downloaded some time awhile back. When I opened the ap the VPN was ‘off’ and it welcomed me as a new user. I have no idea how long I was not protected. So, if you use this ap, make sure you hire a babysitter to make sure it stays ’on’ or, like me, you will be very disappointed..Version: 3.3.3

✓ Generally positive!When it works, it’s fantastic, with little noticeable large unless gaming. And it works 80% of the time. However, 20% is the time it has trouble connecting, requiring turning the VPN and/or WiFi/cell off and back on. ✓ Please fix the app!!Fast, reliable and very easy to use. Delighted with this app, after 2 years of usage. However, since I got a new phone, I cannot transfer my vpn licence. It’s a very expensive licence so I’m quite annoyed that I have not been able to use the service for more than 2 weeks now. The developer are aware of the bug - when trying to transfer a licence, there is no ‘OK’ button - but it is taking too long. I have paid quite a lot for a service I am not receiving. ✓ Use Express VPNDeployed in the Middle East and had to use a VPN to access the WiFi. I chose Freedome but unfortunately it isn’t capable of streaming Netflix or Prime. It also constantly resets the VPN which makes your device lose signal for a moment, which is quite annoying when you are trying to FaceTime family back home. I have now signed up to Express VPN and I don’t have any issues, just a shame that I had to spend money on this first.Version: 3.1.0
