✓ What has happened to this gameI have enjoyed this puzzle over 4 years. Coincide with Os update on ipad today, I find the once beautiful artworks now ruined by opaque moving white squares and totally unnecessary plumes of white moving clouds and mists. There are moving graphics ontop of moving graphics, its now truely a hideous mess and impossible to play and enjoy and definitely no longer a relaxing feel. Soo disappointed, would request a removal of all this aweful stuff but no doubt developer thinks it an enhancement..Version: 1.14.43

✓ Fun but very slow to make progressI played this game several years back and took a few years break. The customer service department was very helpful in getting my old game login/ID switched over to my new device. But once I started playing again, I realized why I stopped in the first place; The game take way too long to advance. Earning 50 coins per each ‘explore’ when you need to save up for 9,000 is just exhausting; takes the fun out of playing. I never purchase any coins because the cost for a small amount of coin is too steep and isn’t really a good offer in my opinion. Yes, the graphics are great. Perhaps spreading yourself too far and too thin with new games! No more Castle Challenges etc...please put your efforts into new levels! No excuses and you need to do better! Thus my low scoring review for 2018. Midnight Castle is a credit to the creators. The graphics are amazing as is their attention to detail in rooms and scenes. Events, Castle Challenges, Daily Tasks, Tournaments and Mini Tournaments compliment the game itself whilst adding variation from the day to day routines. This is a hobby game for either extremely patient people or alternatively very wealthy people as the cost of purchasing coins and diamonds is expensive with coins in particular consumed at an extraordinary rate to open new scenes and zoom zones. I would be more inclined to buy coins if I were to get better value when using them! The creators do need to provide more information when introducing new aspects into the game. Takes all the fun out of the game and getting multiplier bonuses. I’m dyslexic and I can’t even play the game anymore it’s awful. This game is amazing and super addictive. However, you need Diamonds in order to do certain things in the game and there is pretty much no way to get them unless you pay for them. You get stuck on certain parts where you have to play the same scene over and over again, and it makes you wait half an hour to play the scene again, and sometimes you have to wait hours just to complete a simple task in the game. I wish it was a game that you could play for a consistent period of time instead of having to wait hours just to do very simple things. Fun but tedious. ✓ Update takes my game.I’ve been playing this game now for a few years. I’d sure like to know why an update doesn’t keep my game as it is, was prior to the update. Gives me a new identity and id number. I know My game was at level 100, to have to begin at ZERO is so soul destroying when I think of the hours, days, months and years of play gone. Why does this keep happening at updates? Delete the game from my iPad, redownload it 2 times so far but still my game doesn’t arrive. This is an iPad Pro 2nd generation. ✓ FrustratingI am on level 44 and probably 2/3 of the HOP puzzles return the wrong reward. I'm also sick of having to craft the same things multiple times to advance at all. Clearly I'm being pressured into buying coins and that's not going to happen. Either that or the developers are just phoning it in. Either way, I can do a lot things less frustrating and more rewarding. Yeah, the graphics are excellent but it takes more than that to create a fun experience. Update: I’d forgotten I already rated this. Nothing has changed except my frustration level has lowered during the pandemic so I’m going back exercising my sight on jigsaw puzzles and my mind on Wordscapes. ✓ UpdatesI like this game much better than other hidden object games but the game has maxed out at level 97 and will not let us finish level 97 until the next update so we who have reached level 97 are unable to finish. They did this with the last update as well. During summer there is nothing happening so we just have to play the same hidden object rooms until they decide to release the update. Good thing is there are special event rooms that you can play during seasons, like spring rooms, winter/Christmas rooms, Halloween/fall rooms these rooms are intended to build up on coins and other objects and your friends can play other friends rooms as well, it is to help friends. So there is good things about the game, most people who have maxed out the levels still come back for the events and level updates..Version: 1.14.36

But in the last week I've gotten abit ahead making it to level 30 and opening the new world and its glitches taking me right back to level 28. Then having to repeat the challenges and daily quests all over again. The thing that has frustrated me the most is that I have spent money on diamond on to loose them all and go back to zero when it's glitches. ✓ You really need to monitor the ads in your gameIf you have any control over the type of ads shown in your game, you really need to remove some immediately. If you go to the purchase gems/coins panel, you can collect 3 x 10 gems or 3 x 50 coins per day. To do this, you have to watch a promo video, usually they are promoting other games. Numerous times I note lots of gambling games, promoting a false story that you can earn lots of money simply playing a game of some sort, and this is deposited into your paypal account. The worst one was the game ‘ My Fantasy: Choose your story ‘ which is for ages 17+. It asks you to select an outfit for a BDSM party and which ‘toy’ you would like to take with you, which the woman, in her newly worn ‘outfit’ then proceeds to use!! Videos like this should NOT be shown on Midnight Castle, which states it is for ages 4+. I suggest this issue is looked into. It’s pretty discraceful..Version: 1.14.62

I've been playing oh, about a month now and I've reached level 31 - YAY! Now check out what's happening here, every time you have to "create" a special amulet or whatever - costs coins, right. In order to move up a level, you've got to buy a scene. Now the numbers.... In order to move on, I need 23,000+ coins. Listen closely, I've got 1,200 coins yeah, that's right 1,200! They only give you 50 coins for playing any scene, how are you supposed to overcome such odds? PAY, PAY, PAY! To the order of $60 just to catch up and have nothing to do until I "earn" or, yep, PAY! ✓ Disappointing so far (only played a few times)I like to listen to audible books while playing these kinds of games so when the game first started playing music and sound effects I wanted to turn those settings off but the game wouldn't let me. I could only tap where it wanted me to tap (on objects or gateways). Eventually I caved in and played a few rounds with the sound effects and finally it allowed me to switch them off. As for the objects themselves, they are mostly sharper and brighter than the background objects so it's really easy to find them all. Ask me again in a week or two..Version: 1.14.15

Do NOT like the storyline or graphics for levels above the 70's and especially above 80's. Ugh so awful. Do not like the story at all and the characters are not drawn well. I actually play and try not to look at them they bug me so much 😞 It's also ridiculously expensive to play. Everything costs an absurd amount of coins to open. That said there are regular updates and customer support is exceptional at Big Fish. They make the best games I also love the holiday updates. Best game for keeping yourself busy and happy. Another issue is late night updates in the old system that would erase progress and earned coins. This has not happened "yet" on the second download but happened many times in the first. ✓ Killer graphics but...Be prepared to either downs a fortune or wait until the game decides to give you what you need to advance. In the hidden object areas, you often have to earn items to solve other puzzles. Somehow, that can not happen several times in a row. Of course you can just buy the item to solve the puzzle... or wait hours for the hidden object area to open again... or just pay to open the area again. I currently have three dif puzzles that can only be solved by items found in one hidden object area. It only opens once every 1/2 hour, and the last three times I played it, none of the needed items appeared. So I used gems to buy the one I was missing, turned in all the rings to the monkey... and didn’t get credit!! I’ll prob keep playing this just fir the hidden object areas but I’m basically ignoring the rest of the game because it’s too expensive and doesn’t work..Version: 1.14.27
