✓ It's good but.......It's a great little app idea, but far from finished yet for me. The first an main issue I have is that 15 seconds is way too short. I have a small baby and when I can get films of her they look fantastic, problem is by the time she starts doing something film worthy, the 15 seconds is up. It means the novelty of the app wears off pretty quickly. Being able to take different parts of different clips and stitch them together to make 1 film would be a big improvement too. The only editing you can do is the filter which is great if you are able to shoot the perfect 15 seconds first time. If you have a wasted few seconds of clip you can't edit it out. The option of being able to filter other videos from your own library would make this a 5 star app but you can't which is a shame. Great start, but needs improving.Version: 1.0.2

✓ AwfulThe filters are not very good in the initial download. You have to buy more packs. The whole product is very underwhelming and chunky, especially in comparison to their Hipstamatic. You can only use audio from iTunes and can’t import your own files from other sources on your phone. E.g. Dropbox or email etc. I wanted to see about a refund (I’m that disappointed) but now it’s not showing up in my purchases from Apple and I keep running around in circles. ✓ Loyal Hipstamatic user, Can't wait for Cinematic to lose BUGS! Frustrating.Love this app, LOVE Hipstamatic - most valuable app on my phone. But Cinematic, I realize is new, is very buggy with PRO update. Was a lot of fun until update, then very disappointing. Could definitely use more filters, (and lose the weird random shapes/inversions in some effects) but update to allow for combining clips has caused me to lose all of my unedited clips. I'm upset. These are of my family, moments only happen once. I tried to combine a few clips, but instead they disappeared. They are showing as there, technically, but shows as "0 seconds". I tried again last night making 3 random, unimportant clips but it worked. However, all of those videos I combined are gone forever..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Shaky video + please add 25fps supportThis is an excellent app that does everything right with the following exceptions: the iPhone 6 & 6+ have excellent video stabilization however when you take video with cinematic (even with stabilization switched on) the video appears super shaky just as if you were using an older device like an iPhone 4. Please fix. The other issue is that while the new iPhones can take silky smooth 30 & 60fps video, for some reason cinematic can only make 24fps videos, which results in choppy video. The filters are pretty cool and offer a decent range of fine-tuning the look. What would push it over the top into a must-have video app for me would be the ability to trim individual segments to create better edit points Between shots. Being able to merge clips is OK if you want to make something longer. And being able to rearrange clips is fine if you’re not trying to put together a specific sequence. But when shooting for a specific sequence of action there is no way to fine-tune and really make your edit points match. That would be a great feature. Another simple feature that would push it over the top would be the ability to add fade points in your audio. That way you could pick a specific sequence of music and not have such abrupt ending’s..Version: 1.6.4

✓ Video HipstaI was a huge fan of Hipstamatic years ago before it became sorta nuts with the costs involved with keeping up with all the lens/film combos (filters). Cinamatic is essentially the same thing, except with video. No editing, 15 second vid limits, no transitions, etc. I'm not sure what I think about Cinamatic; but uit runs very smoothly, not buggy, and it's responsive. To get all 10 filters or so it's about 8 or 10 bucks and when you think about it, that's expensive compared to lots of other apps and what this app is capable of doing. The franchise really just makes apps that make it easy to look "vintage" and "artsy," and they usually do it "cool" and classy, but that's it...pricy filters. Will I continue to buy their apps? ✓ Where's the POLISHLook, I really like the app. Occasionally. I've bought nearly all the filters (some are really crap), cina pro, whatever, but the basic functionality of the app is lacking. Number ONE, is there some reason you can't trim clips in the app? I post videos to IG, but you have to go through the whole trouble of trimming them in photos and guessing at the length. TWO: FULL OF BUGS. I don't even know on this one, guys. Ubiquitous UI bugs (I JUST saw one that made me say enough is enough), constant crashing, unbelievably slow performance when you try to add music to a clip (6 Plus here). What's the deal? I've spent ten bucks on this app. Half the time I wonder why. I really like the basic concepts behind this app, some of the filters are great (some just make me wonder if the developers are being funny or if they're 5 years old), and the music feature w/ scrubbing control is great. Better than any other app. If only it WORKED. I've used the app since it came out, and the devs have FAILED to improve it in any real way since then. Won't give them another cent. A lot if the filters have scratch lines in them to emulate old film which should be optional rather than mandatory, as they cheapen the look of the beautiful colour adjustments. ✓ Should be GreatWith the brains and style from the company that makes hipstamatic I thought how cool would this be. It's not. It should be the hipstamatic of video. But instead it is a video app that still has a lot of potential if it wasn't ignored so much by its creators and of course would work at the moment. It's been a week since I've had iOS 10 and Cinamatic wont work on it. It opens up then it crashes the first time you hit anything. It's been months since the last new video pack a take on the 80s Video tape called Ridley. There are very few controls over the video style. You basically have a slider for the intensity of the filter and then you have control over contrast, saturation and brightness. That's it. There are a handful of paks and new releases are sporadic, if they are going to release anymore at all Anyway, they have an amazing model to follow in the hipstamatic camera but they don't.
