✓ Great in theory, terrible in practice.SkyCaddie using phone and gps booster (GT1 and GT2) have NEVER worked consistently over the last year or so. Just adds frustration and an unnecessary distraction while playing. I loved my old handheld gps device, but when it died the new shot tracking and all just seemed like it would be very useful. ✓ Don't buy a TOUCH until new version is outUpgraded to a Skycaddie Touch, however the current version of the app (1.2) does not support connection to a Touch. ✓ Good distance device - ropey softwareI really want to love the Sky Caddie Linx GT and the associated software but there are some really basic problems. If you play the same course twice on the same day and sync the software adds all the scores together for one round. There should be a way of registering a Lost Ball or OoB shot mid round using the watch rather than having to edit in the SkyGolf software. Sometimes it registers a shot off the map and there’s no way of deleting it. I like the analysis etc but the SkyGolf software is very poor compared to the watch itself.Version: 1.3.7
✓ Works for about 4 holes and crashesI thought this would be great to work with my iPhone 7, but after four holes it keeps crashing and won’t launch. I tried deleting it and reinstalled it and it still keeps crashing. I have a SkyCaddie Gimme CGT and it always worked fine. Even thought the reviews were bad for this, I thought maybe they worked out the bugs. I guess I was wrong. I am thinking of sending it back. ✓ UnusablePurchased SkyCaddie Touch and have persevered month on month. The ‘Touch’ is as useless as this app. My IPad can locate but the app cannot which is frustrating. Promised that the items would communicate but this is nonsense which is also reflected in the software used to update the SkyCaddie. DO NOT PURCHASE and certainly do not contemplate using this app as it will drive you crazy as does the lag when attempting to navigate the gadget itself!.Version: 1.3.7
✓ UselessApp won’t sync by Bluetooth, and now the main device won’t even sync through the computer. Not surprised they haven’t updated either interface for over 2 years. ✓ Bluetooth IssueI purchase my Linx Skycaddie because of the notification that I can receive messages while I'm playing gold from my iPhone. To fine out that you need Bluetooth connection to make it work and the App do not support Bluetooth, which I feel like I have wasted 300 dollars buying the Skycaddie. I did not find out about my Bluetooth until I paid my membership of 49 dollars that the Bluetooth is out of order. ✓ Not goodI have been using the previous version of this app since it was developed and loved it. Since they stopped supporting it and made me "upgrade" to this I've been so disappointed. I don't need another gps, I already use one. I just want a good scorecard and stat tracker which the old app was awesome at. This new app is unable to deal with 9 hole rounds and the scroll wheel instead of a number pad is a joke. The app was accidentally shutdown and when I tried to continue the round when I reopened it was unable to even let me go to the holes I hadn't played yet. Please bring back the old app that was perfect to use with a stand alone gps. It was simple to use, stable and great at what it was. ✓ Unstable and slowThe v1.1 iPhone app is very slow and unstable. It doesn't synchronize consistently with my skycaddie linx watch. In fact it's only worked twice over the past two months and I've been playing 4-5 times a week. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Doesn't help. I know the Bluetooth is working because I get notifications of text messages and emails on my linx watch. Seeing that it's been about a year that the SkyCaddie touch has been advertised for "pre-order" I'm not holding my breath that this will be fixed anytime soon! ✓ What a wasteFor something generally requires a subscription to access the courses the app is slow, the website is poor and clunky. I can’t access my account even though the details I’m typing in are correct. The ‘renew your password’ links aren’t working/ timeout. Basically it’s incredibly bad, and not what you’d expect for the interface with Skycaddie - it really lets down the products themselves. Also, I’m going to Slovakia later in the year and they only have a handful of the courses mapped which again is poor given the subscription I’m paying. ✓ Look elsewhereI have had the SW2 watch and the Skytrak monitor watch for years. Tried cranking the watch back up the other day and was quickly reminded why I don’t use it anymore. The app is not user friendly at all. Downloading courses and synching the watch is always a nightmare. Reached out to their customer service department online which was met with an “unable to answer this message” response. I then went back and forth with a rep through text message whose only recommendation was to uninstall the app and reinstall to fix my syncing issues. After that didn’t work they just stopped responding to my messages. I really try and support a locally based Mississippi company but they make it impossible. The launch monitor does the job but isn’t the best. I tossed the watch in the trash and uninstalling the app..Version: 1.3.9
