Mindscope - Thought Organizer for Negative User Reviews

Great but, too sensitiveSometimes i just want to make one entry larger than the rest but this app just groups all the other entries even though i gave no indication that this is what i wanted. Just make it so when i want to enlarge an entry it doesn't group the rest of the page along with it and ill give it 5 stars. Also some backend control of the sensitivity like long press and grouping would make it perfect so i can tweak what i want..Version: 1.55

Promising, but ruined by one bugThe app stops responding for several seconds whenever it accesses iCloud, which is a lot. For a thought-organising app, this bug completely ruins it. Shame, it looks very promising, but I don’t understand how anyone can even get started on it when it’s constantly hanging. I could disable iCloud, but that would also make it pretty useless to me..Version: 1.55

*PHOTO IMPORT NEEDED*This app is genius. Perfectly caters to structuring my thoughts in an organized way. Although I sought an app that also can attach images an maybe videos to the background/page. Visual triggers in the brain will add additional organization and inspiration..Version: 1.55

Very nice but doesn't work with bluetooth keyboardsI like it, but unfortunately it doesn't work with bluetooth keyboards..Version: 1.3.1

Lol at all the paid reviews90% if these reviews are bogus —so obvious to the point it’s overt — just like most apps these days. I’m giving this 3 stars. Really it should get 1 star. It’s a toy masquerading as an app. An app that aspires to be useful but in real application simply is not — it’s impractical, inefficient. It is cute tho. I gave it another 2 stars because it’s been programmed rather well. As a software dev of some tenure I’ll acknowledge that aspect..Version: 1.55

Not so hotLiked it in the beginning — was working my iPad on a rectangular view — but when I turned it to a profile view the info fell out of the grid. All that — but fun playing with it. Needs work..Version: 1.55

FrustratingThe app repeatedly crashes when trying to insert text..Version: 1.55

Just hangs on iCloud accessIt looks great, For multiple versions now, I’ve hoped this would be fixed, but the moment I turn on ‘use iCloud’ the app just hangs forever. I’ve never got as far as any document creation. I can’t be the only one!.Version: 1.53

Could be good, but has serious flaws at the momentFundamentally, this could be a great note taking / mind-mapping app, but sadly at the moment it is barely worth using. Firstly, you cannot enter text if using any form of external keyboard. Double tapping simply opens and then immediately closes the editing interface, making it impossible to use. What this bug did reveal is that if you add more entries than can fit on the page, there is no pinch to zoom or panning facility. This is an unbelievable oversight, as even with the idea of drilling down into items, you need to be able to create a single-level map that spans more space than the screen. There is no document support. In other words, you can have a single map. The quoted use case of teaching is therefore ridiculous, as you can't create different maps for different classes. What you have is a very early 'proof of concept' demo of what might be a great app. And I really hope it becomes good. But it is impossible to recommend it at this time..Version: 1.3.1

Is Mindscope still being developed?Hadn’t opened the app in a while and found that all my data was lost on the upgrade to iOS 15. Looks like the last update was 4 years ago. Sad but can no longer trust it so… delete.Version: 1.55

No IOS 9 keyboard support.Lack of external keyboard support is a total deal breaker for me. I have the new iPad Pro, Pencil and Smart keyboard. I have to disconnect from the keyboard to use the app. As such, I have no plans to use the app until this is fixed. I would like to see better integration with the Apple pencil as well - honestly, I haven't tried this because of the keyboard issue. If you are not using the Smart keyboard with the iPad pro or pencil, the app seems really good, which is why I at least gave it 3 stars..Version: 1.3.1

Don't bother!Downloaded the app (yes it is free). It has a hidden cost! You must pay £8 to use it actually. Apparently, you can't use any of the app features without paying first! Did the developers heard about free trial? If not, ask Omni Group! Secondly, the export options are very limited. You can't export as image and/or PDF! Have a careful look at Mindnode and iThoughts to learn more! Finally, if you claim that you copy Scapple for macOS, then I am sorry, it is not even comparable to Scapple and it would be so unfair to compare! App deleted!.Version: 1.52

Takes over audio, can't listen to Soundcloud.I haven't played with app yet as, was chilling listening to some chillstep, opened app and vibe killed, so no dis to dev, just a thing that is a deal breaker for me(I have not updated iOS yet so maybe this isn't an issue, just sayin) peace..Version: 1.3.1

Paid the priceSeemed great and clean using the free demo, so plumped for the paid version. It now crashes out pretty much every time I add a new entry. Will be getting a refund and wait to see if any updates come out before looking again..Version: 1.55

Crashes when exporting plain textThis is an appealing app, but it crashes when I attempt to export to text (bullet list). Without this basic functionality, it is unfortunately of limited use..Version: 1.3.1

Must pay to use basic functionsFree to download but must purchase to unlock..Version: 1.53

You have to pay $8 to get arrows and lines.Arrows and lines should be basic functionality..Version: 1.53

Great idea terrible sync.Just what i wanted. A free form scratchpad and some. However there does seem to be alignment and sync issues moving from 10.5 iPad to 12.9 to iPhone - things don't line up or sync. Not usable unless on one device only. Update. I did amend to 3 stars before the developer reply. And I have emailed the developer. Hopefully there will be some fixes. I'm still like / am using the app but only one device..Version: 1.52
