FitPort for Negative User Reviews

DisappointedDisappointing, unable to download properly or sync. Tried all tips and still nothing. Waste of my money unfortunately..Version: 2.0.0

Widget!!Not a bad dashboard but it needs a widget to be really useful..Version: 2.3.0

UselessThe app itself doesn't really do anything. Data has to be manually entered. Such a shame..Version: 1.1

Beware of Midnight IssueOverall I really like this App, but your iPhone MUST be charging before midnight or the info that is displayed will not match Apple's health app. Also, if you miss the midnight deadline, when you look at the week, the number of steps shown for "today" on top, but when you roll over the days of the week and stop on the current date, it will display today's date rather than "today", those numbers don't even match each other, even though it's the SAME day... and neither match the health app. BTW IDK why Apple doesn't allow you to view the number of steps for a day in the past, you only get a number for today... why??? Makes no sense that one would even need a 3rd party app to do this..Version: 1.5.0

Update problemDoes not update automatically on my Apple Watch. Have to first view Activity or Health apps and then go back to View Fitport complication before it shows current stats. This defeats the whole purpose of the app, which should fetch the current data by itself when viewed..Version: 3.0.0

Stopped workinApp stopped working even after downloading it again.Version: 1.1.2

An improvement on Apple HealthIt's of continual frustration to me that Apple Health has this wealth of data about me, but offers no way to display it in a manner that allows me to properly analyse it. I take my weight and fat % on a daily basis, and really want to analyse how that data has changed over time, in excruciating detail. My phone tracks how many flights of stairs I take, how many steps I take, how far I walk, and I want to have options about how I can display and view and analyse that data as it is collected over months and years. And to be frank, the graphs that are included in the stock Apple Health app are a joke, and are in fact less intuitive than when I used to manually enter data into spreadsheets on my PC more than a decade ago, so I've long been searching for an improvement. Fitport is certainly a step-up from the Apple Health app, and it does allow you to analyse the wealth of data that is collected with a little more depth, but for me, it's certainly not the finished product. Beautiful? Yes. It's certainly aesthetically pleasing, but it lacks options, and I still can't do the things that I could do on these spreadsheets all those years ago, like display the data of my weight and fat % on the same graph so I can see how they correspondent with each other. Or I can't measure precisely the impact that walking an extra mile one day has on my weight the next. These are the things that I want. Apple has all the data. Surely that's the hard part; displaying it should be easy, and I could do a better job than the Apple Health app on my old Windows 95 PC. Fitport does improve on Apple's massive shortcoming, but it's far from a finished product. It makes your data more pretty to look at, and adds a couple of worthwhile options, so I give it three stars. A lot needs to improve to earn the other two though..Version: 1.5.0

Doesn't back up data?Did a back up and restore of my phone and all my months of fitport data has disappeared. This can't be right. Can it?.Version: 1.5.0

Does nothingI can’t get this app to do anything. I can’t get the Health app to work either. It gather no data and shows no data..Version: 1.1

Nicer looking than Health appThis app doesn't seem to do much more than read the data from Apple's Health app. But...it displays it in a much nicer way than Apple's..Version: 1.0

Don't see the pointAll this app does is regurgitate the information that is in the stock Health app, AND expects you to pay for it!? Looks pretty enough but doesn't do anything by its own merit. Complete waste of money!.Version: 1.1

UselessI don’t see how this can be a useful app. I bought and found it below average in terms of functionality. Can’t even track net calories (all calories consumed and all energy spent). The app gives the same information as Apple Health, nothing new.Version: 2.3.1

Good, but want moreThere are a couple reasons I'm giving this app 3 stars. The first one is that I have to uninstall and reinstall it far too often... It will suddenly so tracking my steps. Also I would like to have competitions with friends, like Fitbit, to encourage me to get more steps. I also want to be able to have competitions with people who don't have an Apple Watch and Fitport. It would be nice to be able to communicate with people who have fitbits..Version: 2.2.1

Not worth the $2.99It’s fine, but not worth the cost. I want to see monthly stats pertaining to the particular month - not stats from last 30 days. Same for weekly. Disappointing. :(.Version: 2.2.1

Can’t add as a complication on any watch face i triedCan’t seem to add it as a complication on any watch face i tried. using ios 13 and watchos 6..Version: 3.0.0

AccuracyThe steps do not match my steps in the Apple Health or Activity Apps. Very disappointing since this is a paid App. I’ve emailed the developer, if fixed I will gladly update my review. For now, save your money!.Version: 3.0.0

Doesn’t work at allThis doesn’t work at all doesn’t track and no way to get refund..Version: 2.3.0

Crap!Total rip off. Doesn't work with iPhone 5c. Really cross..Version: 1.1

Nice looking but not many featuresThis is a very slick looking app, I downloaded it a while ago back when it was on of the first HealthKit apps. I have been very disappointed at the lack of updates, so much more could be added, for example sleep tracking..Version: 1.3.0

Missing custom start datesThe app seems nice but only has options to graph out metrics for All, 30 and 90 days. This doesn't help me as I'm specifically looking to track changes/improvements since a specific start date..Version: 2.2.1

Waste of timeThis app is useless does not work ,does not sync with the health app please refund my money absolute Waste of money.Version: 1.1.2

Problem with WatchOS Step-Count ComplicationHello, I recently purchased FitPort for iOS here in the USA. I installed the Apple Watch app. Then, I placed the FitPort complication in the Modular watch face, in the center position. For two days the FitPort complication updated my step-count, automatically, in real time. It was wonderful. And then, for some reason, it stopped working. Nothing changed on my Apple Watch. Now, the FitPort complication is static and in order for me to see my current step-count, I have to press on the complication in order to open the app on the watch. I have three friends who have confirmed that the exact same thing happened to them, also. Please address this bug, as soon as possible. Thank you, Mark.Version: 2.1.0

An issue it would be nice if addressedI think I get it that my complaint about this and another app I have that utilize Apple’s motion technology are likely Apple issues … however. The pedometer function keeps track of motion and coverts to steps. But, when I am golfing and have the app in use it wildly increases the steps to a ridiculous number. For example, on golfing days, the app tells me I walked over 18,800 steps, a good 10,000 or so more than my non apple motion technology apps measure. It would be great if the developer could figure a way to compensate for this issue or communicate with Apple about the error..Version: 1.1.2

Love and hate.I have been using this app for 2 years. When I had my Apple Watch 2 I had to reboot my watch at least every other day as FitPort would not update on the watch. The iPhone part was fine. Now that I have the Apple Watch 4 it still does the same thing. In light of all these good reviews, I must be missing something but unless someone shows me the way I will probably try to find a different app..Version: 3.0.0

Clean uiNice looking. Would appreciate ability for weekly to be sum not mean..Version: 1.3.0

Needs an updateApp not working well with iPhone 8! Bug fixes please.Version: 2.2.1

Don't botherThis app doesn't offer anything that the Apple Health App doesn't already have. £1.49 is a bit expensive to repeat the exact same information..Version: 1.1

Good info but I'm still skeptical.I have been very excited about HealthKit so as soon as it was available I downloaded it. Now that it's here it has back data on my exercise habits which is nice. I am still suspicious about the distances I walked and the steps I have taken. I want it to be true but it feels like more exercise than my body should get credit for. Try it out. I think it works and the more of us that do the better it will get..Version: 1.1

Bad -5🌟I have downloaded it on my iPhone 5 and it does not work. It does not calculate anything automatically. Waste of money from my side..Version: 1.1.2

Not very user friendlyI downloaded the app to pair with my I watch so I could track my steps for work/health insurance discount and it seems to have been a waste of money because there is no way to set it up. The fit bit was much easier to use. Very disappointed.Version: 2.3.1

Lots of Eyecandy, Little FunctionIf the dev did a bit more than reskin Apple health data, this app would be amazing. A pet peeve of mine is the absolutely terrible way in which Apple displays heart rate data, which unfortunately this app copies. Please... health devs.. I want a line graph with heart rate zones. I want to be able to look "between hours" and see exactly what my heart rate was at the nearest measurement interval, not guess based on an hourly range. Need an example? See Fitbit..Version: 1.6.0

This app does not live up to its promises. There are very few options to plot the data. It doesn’t really allow for customization. Really only a few choices which frankly do not make much sense. Very disappointing..Version: 2.3.0

Doesn't really do muchReads data from HealthKit, and gives you the option of manually entering data (no sensor support I could see apart from m7/8) that goes back into HealthKit then shows a basic chart. I was hoping it was a better way to view HealthKit data but not really especially for a paid app.Version: 1.1

Poor complicationNice looking app but for the Apple Watch it's limited in that you have to click on the complication to see any detail, like steps. So to can't just glance at your watch..Version: 2.0.0

Good app, but HR Aver readings are wrongIt's very well made app. But I can't use it because average HR readings taken from apple watch are calculated wrong. When apple watch is in workout mode it takes much more HR readings than when no workout is activated. This app calculates average based on totals amount of readings divided by number of readings. So if your regular HR rate is around 60, then you go and do workout for 1 hour at 100+ bpm, your average would look like 95 (like you about to have a heartattack). Time should be weighted in the formula, so Average for day should be actual average as if apple watch takes same amount of readings per hour in workout and regular mode. I tried to contact developer, but could not find an option on web-site. Please correct this error and I would gladly rate 5-star..Version: 1.4.0

Under counts distance by 10-20%.Can’t find setting to input my stride length. Would allow me to fix the problem..Version: 4.0.1

Fails to open. This app does not open on my device - iPhone 5 with iOS 8.0.2. So far a total waste of money..Version: 1.1

Looking for something other than activity app on Apple WatchI was looking for something more goal oriented that would allow me to set steps, stairs, and active minute goals on my Apple watch. The platform on this app on your phone is great! A lot like Fitbit or Garmin, but the watch version just doesn’t provide anything more than the Activity app already did. So, I’m still looking..Version: 3.0.0

Apple watch complications no longer work…Apple watch complications no longer work apart from steps….Version: 5.0.1

Looks great but functionality lackingI bought this app because it looked so nice, and from that perspective it doesn't disappoint. I really enjoy the overview and being able to tap on a topic to dig into more detail. But functionality needs some work. I should be able to order the items in my dashboard to my preference or items that are empty for the day should automatically move to the end instead of taking up precious screen estate. Also, it's boggling that the iPhone app doesn't support any sort of trend over time. I should be able to see past data, not only the data for today. These two major misses are why I'm only giving a 3/5 rating..Version: 2.0.0

A pretty nothingAs other reviews have stated, this is a nonsense app. Does nothing but look pretty. Not intuitive and relies on the user to do all the work. My Fitness Pal and Endomondo are still my apps of choice to track my fitness and activity, both of which are free....Version: 1.1

Slow updateDoesn’t update steps on complication while I walk. I need to tap to see an update. That defeats the purpose of a complication..Version: 4.0.0

BuggyShame as when this app works it's brill, but something between this app and health kit is going wrong, and it will work for a day or so then health kit will stop working and recording anything along with this app, my other apps still work fine and if I leave this turned off so it doesn't sync to health kit then health kit works fine, so it's something with this app. Hopefully this will get sorted soon as its really good when it's working, just unfortunately it spends most of its time not working and stopping other apps from working!.Version: 1.1.1

Completely inaccurate - developer unsupportiveSteps don’t match what the activity app on my watch says or the health app on my phone. Also, the complication doesn’t seem to update unless you actually tap it to open the app. If this was free I could give it a pass but I think if you’re going to charge people it needs to be of a higher quality than the free options out there, this app isn’t. How do I get support from the developer on this app? Their website has a couple of FAQs but no email address or method to get in touch. The data in this app is way off and I would like some support..Version: 3.0.0

Makes complications complicated.Don't bother if you've an apple watch. I got this to monitor steps from the screen of my watch via the complication built in the app. The only problem is you've got to tap the complication, to open the app, which then triggers a refresh after a while. While all this is going on, the activity monitor built in the watch OS has the updated figure. I've had anything up to 2500 steps different. Hardly the promise of a step tracker that you can view on your watch face..Version: 2.2.0

I wanted to love it!The layout is absolutely gorgeous and eye catching. But the one thing I was expecting a paid app to do, it doesn’t. End of week totals for an individual exercise. The lowest increment is only seemingly 30 days which is kind of a bummer. Even when drilling down and switching to weekly then tapping and hold, it’s an average. There’s no real granular level of data to analyze. The way they’ve chosen when do totals and when to do averages is interesting. I won’t go so far as to say I feel like the money was a waste because the design is there. I just hope a better UX catches up with it. Edit: I also can’t toggle between previous days in a way that makes sense. Another comment was left 2yrs ago with the same complaint. I hope some real updates come to this app soon..Version: 4.0.0
