✓ No custom soundtracks or load outs?Why can't I listen to my own music during gameplay? What is this, 2007? Also, I'm sure folks have asked for custom load outs for a while now. Is this something you could possibly implement? As well 5 dollars for another slot seems extreme. All that being said, this was 2 bones well spent to get rid of the ads. ✓ A nice bit of funIt reminds me a bit of Metal Slug, just a touch more aquatic. Simple enough to get the hang of, but tough enough to make want to prove to the game you can do it. Pretty enjoyable. Oh, and I should probably 1) mention that the latest update causes the app to crash out when trying to open the armory, because the makers wouldn't already be aware of this considering literally everyone put it in their reviews yesterday, and 2) tell, not ask, the developers to fix it, because I'm sure that without our helpful directives they wouldn't think to do that. ✓ Metal Slug meets Endless Runners! IT WORKS!Well, it must be good if it works. It does, trust me. A fun game that's simple to play, hard to master! If you ever played or heard of the Arcade Shooter series 'Metal Slug' (Which is also available on the App Store!) Then you gotta check this out! It's free too! But hear me out on this review first! You start inside a crate that was sent to the enemy base, you shoot out of the crate and appear in a boat! Time to go on a rampage in the enemy bases! (Yeah, not that much plot to go about, but when does endless runners have plot points?) At first startup, you are given a quick tutorial on how to control your character, and because this is a shooter, you'd think that the layout would be confusing, but nope! It's a one touch game! Touch to move the boat forward, release to bring it back. Slide up and down to Jump and Dive. Simple to move around the screen right? "But Koopa, what about shooting?" Hey, don't worry about it! The character shoots automatically at the closest enemy, even if you aren't touching the screen! This let's you focus on avoiding the bullets, getting those coins and power ups, and getting those high scores! Each of the enemies has a certain pattern to their attacks, but with a lot of enemies it can be really hard to dodge with just one life, so you have 3 lives instead. Among those things that can be shot down are Crates that contain items, such as: - Weapons (That has a narrator that tells what weapon it is! Neat!) - Poker Chips - Gems (Rarely!) - Daily Bonus symbols The Poker Chips I mentioned are used to play a quick game of Video Poker after your run ends to collect more coins and Gems! I like this part because I got more gems here than the crates that give out gems. (Luck makes a difference here! Results may vary.) You can also spend coins to play for the Gems, but most of the time, it's more of a waste. Now that things are all said and done, go ahead and start playing! See how far you can get! When ever I go on the armory the app just crashes. I don't know if is just me but it is really bad because I can't access the armoires at all. ✓ Premium experience for free!I am surprised the dev didn't charge .99 cents (at least) for the game. It's also quite surprising that there is no coin doubler or ad removal options that's typical for this type of game (let us support you!). I don't know if they can earn anything by displaying those (very) occasional ads. Speaking of ads, they only pop up so rarely, and there are no 30s videos (5s you can skip afterwards). The polish-ness reminds me of a halfbrick game. The game requires one touch, but a lot of attention. The purchase system is fair and you can buy premium gems to unlock characters or new boats. Some people say this is similar to Jetpack Joyride, which is true, but I find it an improvement. Rarely do I lose and think it is the game's fault. The game is also pretty generous, offering up free characters (Carnival guy and Bounty Hunter) and giving out gems at a fair pace.
