Only once when I started playing the game did I purchase a few hints. Since then, I win enough to keep me stocked. I’ve been playing for about three years, so I am encountering some very challenging word groups. Love it. Will not go to sleep with an incomplete puzzle. A couple of things I haven’t figured out. What are the coins used for and how can I see how many coins I have? Also, what is the advantage of the genius points? If they are just “a pat on the back,” I do not need an iPad to give me worthless genius points..Version: 1.6.1

✓ Willing to overlook one fatal flawThis game is a word nerd / pattern-noticer's paradise. I love it. And I am proud to amass hints as I progress through the game without needing them. But this badge of success is thwarted by the location of the "use hint" button which I frequently push with the side of my palm when I definitely don't need or want a hint. My cynical half tells me this is a design flaw purposely left uncorrected so that people will buy more hints after they use them up. I hope this isn't the case. ✓ Keeps you thinking!This game is slow starting but once you get though the first few levels it really starts to work your brain. It’s a lot harder than you think it is in the beginning. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. The only downfall to it, but you have to tolerate this with every game you play, is all the ads that you have to put up with. However, like I said you have to put up with that crap with every decent game you play. Now, they do offer a decent package you can purchase to get rid of the ads and also buy hints at the same time. I do believe that is an offer I am going to take. Other than that I have no complaints about this game. ✓ Great game, and great customer supportThis game is fantastic, ever challenging, and the best part is you can stop playing for awhile and come back to it and pick up right where you left off. It’s very easy to learn, and just when you think you’ve got a puzzle solved, you may have to figure out an alternative way. Many of the words have multiple ways of being formed, but only one way works to solve the whole thing. The game has great customer support too - they helped resolve a recent issue I had very quickly, and were courteous and friendly. Highly recommend to this who want a change from the usual word search puzzles or crosswords!.Version: 1.5.7

✓ Everyday with wifeEveryday my wife would play and occasionally ask me for help when she could not find a word. As puzzles got harder I got sucked in and eventually joined her for 15-30 minutes to solve 1, 2 and then 3 puzzles a day for last 4 months. We finally reached the end 2 days ago. Now on to Celebrity Crossword and the fun continues. Running our own business from home it was a welcome break. Especially in the morning and afternoon so we did not fry our brains. A total disconnect that we laughed together doing while throwing out words that either were obviously wrong or misspelled. ✓ Consistently GoodI love the Wordbubbles app. I play it everyday and it is consistently good. Free of bugs and freezing. A new puzzle everyday, new themed monthly puzzles, new weekly puzzles and now an amazing hangman style game. I chose to pay for ad-free playing. In my opinion, I've certainly paid more and gotten less from other apps. I think the complaining about ads speaks nothing to the quality of the game. The new game where you have 10 puzzles each day to complete is extremely challenging. I just don’t understand when the rewards are given. I have completed several different ones and no rewards (hints) are given. I also like the new game that involves up to 6 guesses to find the word. Again no rewards are ever given to the player. That should be fixed!!!!! Also on a regular puzzle where you try for a hint and get a video to watch and many times the video hangs up and you have to restart that game. That is extremely annoying. I agree with another reviewer who said the transitions are way too loud in comparison with the other sound effects. Even with my iPad volume set to one, it is extremely jarring. ✓ Fun game, with a few problemsI enjoy this game, but find it irksome that I have to figure out which "e", for example, they want me to use. I was stuck on one puzzle, and used all my hints, to find out that the solution shown was the one I had! The words are a fun challenge, but that feature is annoying. ✓ Fun, but needs one more thingThe game is fun, and as you progress, becomes very challenging. It is in this that it needs a little thing. In the higher levels, the words are long. Selecting the correct path is required to solve the puzzle. Often there is a need to restart, as you frequently end up with isolated letter. It would be great if there was a way to save a note of your solved words. That way you could concentrate on finding the correct pathway without trying to remember all of words that you have solved. ✓ Mistake in layout of lettersI have enjoyed this game but am hung up on the level I am now on because the letters r and d are in the reverse positions so I cannot complete the word uncover. This has been my favorite go to game, practically the only one I play. Recently, I was playing and it went to a video which seemed to get stuck before it ended. I couldn’t get the screen to clear so it stayed stuck on there for days. Really maddening considering that I had a 47 day run. So of course when it finally cleared it took me back to day 1. Really disappointing. !! And it’s not the first time this has happened!!! I have more complaints but that is my biggest and is certainly enough for one day. I would appreciate a response. ✓ Great customer service for a fun gameI’ve been playing this for over a year, maybe two, and had a lot of hints built up. One day I opened the app after an iPad update, and all my history was gone. I contacted the developer and she fixed it for me and gave me extra hints for my trouble. This game starts out easy, but gets quite complicated at the higher levels. I do enjoy a challenge, though! ✓ Love and hate!I love this app it is wonderful keeping my vocabulary and spelling in check. I love working with the bonus puzzle every day and look forward to getting my bonus points. The one thing that I hate is working to make the word from the daily puzzle and then having to watch an advertisement with no reward. That's double jeopardy. I know there has to be advertisement but really,right after you just worked to get the one point for that long word and then an ad. ✓ Fun and calmingI play this game without any sounds, mostly because I find it calming to just swipe the little bubbles in silence (however it is just as fun and nice to play the game with the sounds). I’m on sort of the intermediate levels of the game where it takes a while to complete a single level, but I personally don’t find a problem with it because they have daily and weekly puzzles that are usually easier to do and also give you free hints. Since it takes me a while to complete a level, I don’t get as many ads so I can’t exactly complain lol but if you’re on the early levels where they’re easier to complete you’ll probably get a lot more ads. ✓ I love this app!I have been playing this game for over a year now and it is one I throughly enjoy. I rarely use the hints but that's just my personal choice. I enjoy being able to come back to a puzzle that seems unsolvable at first and finding a word or two days later. The words are simple everyday words we all use. ✓ This is the only game I playWordbubbles is challenging- I am currently on level 690. They definitely have gotten harder over time but I still have 648 hints built up (never use them). The great thing about this game is that you can pick it up and drop it as time allows so you are never forced to stay with it. I think since I am an old fart this app helps me stay sharp. Oh, and the daily challenge is perfect for a quick toilet visit! (Don’t tell me you aren’t also guilty of this). ✓ WordBubblesWas my favourite game until 5 minutes ago when I was redeeming more than 2200 points for hints. A screen came up that told me I would be getting 25 hints. Added to my 582 hints would give me 607 hints and leaving me 22 points. However, the 25 hints were not added. I tried to include a screen shot but this review format does not allow me to copy anything into it. Aside from that, for the past couple of months the screen would sometimes appear (act like) it was frozen when trying to slide my finger from letter to letter to form words. I cannot tell if it is my iPad or your game causing this fault. However, the iPad does not display this problem when doing other things. This game is very challenging and I find it rewarding that I rarely ever use the hints even though some of the levels have taken quite some time to figure out or if I have few hanging letters out there…….hint….use your screen shot if you can’t remember the words that you solved! ✓ Amazing game... stupendous customer serviceI’ve been playing Word Bubbles for over two years. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would become fully addicted to a game on my phone at age 64. I had completed more than 2000 levels and I was in the Indian Ocean. I was distraught when one day I opened the game to discover I was back at level one. After many frets, I contacted the support team. They went above and beyond to restore my progress. Love this game and can’t thank them enough for the support. Help! ✓ Brain stimulationI love this game! It's much more challenging than your typical word search. There might be more than one path to make a particular word but only one is the correct way to be able to connect the letters for the remaining words. One of the things I really like (especially in the lower levels) is that there are a lot of red herring words that make it even more challenging. If you're looking for a quick-fix game this might not be for you. I'm in the Grey Whale set of puzzles and it often takes me multiple sessions to solve. I must have bought the minimal hint package to remove the ads which was, what, $1.99? Knowing now how much I enjoy Word Bubbles, I would gladly have paid more—shhh! With the daily hints that I earn, this is way more than enough. Don't use hints, do stretch your brain, that's the fun of the challenge! I have not had any of the technical issues other reviewers have mentioned. Update: I’m now up to level 1126, have amassed hundreds of free hints by religiously playing the daily puzzles, continue to love the challenge even when it takes me multiple sessions to see the words and/or solve the correct paths, and stand by my 5-star rating! ✓ Awesome game!Edit update: I still play Wordbubbles everyday but the developer really needs to address the scam ads they allow when you use the “spin again”. Almost every day I see the “weight loss gummies, Oprah” scam ad. There are others too. Apple should address it if WB doesn’t do it on their own. I refuse to watch these ads, force close, and re-open the game. I’ve probably reviewed Wordbubbles before but I’ve noticed something new in the 1,000 new levels. I’ve hit three puzzles with a blank colored dot (no letter). A letter shows up once I solve the puzzle. For instance, puzzles 2365 and 2371 (there was one other but I didn’t make a note of what puzzle it was, I can find it if it’s not by design. In 2365 the blank dot is the upper right corner. 2371 it is 5th row/3rd letter.. or no letter, lol. Is this by design? I’ll include a screenshot, if I can. Also: hints. I will buy some hints because I enjoy the game. I play every day. I watch a video or two after each solve. I watch a few in the morning. I figure you get a little income from that and I’m on unlimited WIFI... so... yeah! Anyway, are these letter circle/dots blank by design or is something wrong? ✓ Word bubbles is the game. I am snoopybeadI find this game growing on me a bit now I've rid myself of all the ads by buying a few dollars worth of hints. The only thing I find disconcerting now is when the app wants me to name friends so we can compare scores. I don't want to do this at all. I just want to play at my own pace (so glad the game doesn't have timing and require speed because I fail miserably at any games that do). Can you tell me how to stop the notice about involving friends coming up, cause if you can I'll be very happy. I haven't yet worked out how I earn free hints yet but have noticed they have been added occasionally. Has it something to do with the points? It’s a game that you don’t really get bored of, and you can easily just pick it up and do a level or two. i rarely buy anything on games, but i play this so much that i caved and bought hints to remove the ads. it is so frustrating and annoying however, that there is still a pulsating, flashing icon at the bottom of every puzzle to watch an ad for a free hint. i don’t mind it being there…what i do mind is the constant movement in my peripheral. it’s gotten to the point where i’ve gone back to my roots and turned off the app’s access to cellular and now play offline, as the icon is not there when the app isn’t connected to the internet. if that was removed, i would have zero issues with it, and would go back to completely adoring the game..Version: 2.1.6

I emailed them with a problem and they were so helpful it was unbelievable and sorted it out for me, they were in constant contact with me too. I have been playing Wordbubbles every morning with my cup of coffee for a few years now, and I had worked my way up to a fairly high level. Recently I had an issue with my iPad and all my history disappeared...suddenly I was back to level 1, Algae and 3 letter words. Ugh! I found the customer support email and sent them an email explaining my dilemna. I honestly didn’t expect any response and even if I l got a response, I didn’t really expect that they would be able to help me. Much to my surprise...the next morning I had an email with clear, easy to follow steps to get me back to my level. I followed the steps, and voila, I was back in the category. ✓ Fun but don’t ever need to restore the appI had to restore my phone which reloaded the app. This lost all my progress. They do have an option to link to Facebook as a way to back up your progress. But personally I don’t have a Facebook account I use. So a little fail. It also failed to remember my purchases. I bought something to remove ads when I first started playing. I’d have to say the ads are a. It intrusive but without having (non FB) support for restoring progress and purchases, it’s not worth using more and starting over. I had 2 major brain surgeries that caused me to lose a lot of words plus the ability to sound them out since I cannot get the letters from my head to paper & have dementia! I was never given any kind of Theraphy because I wasn't expected to live or when I did not for long, but 10 years later I'm still fighting! But no Theraphy and this app has been such a help in keeping the dementia from getting worse plus I am slowly getting better at sounding things out!!! ✓ Word Game with Word Problems[SPOILER] Puzzle 355 contains a proper noun as one of the solution words. The bad part is that I think this was inadvertent on the part of the developers who didn’t realize that a certain popular personal mobility device deliberately misspelled the word they used to title their device. My only other critique is that, as the puzzles get more complex, in order to make all the words fit, the developers have a deep habit of building from the center outwards. So by the time you’ve done a few hundred puzzles you know that the best way to crack each one is to focus on strings of letters wrapping around the outer edge, or forming a 3x2 box in a corner, because the words are almost always set up in that way. A lot more could have been done with criss cross patterns and who knows what all else to keep it about word recognition instead of pattern recognition..Version: 1.3.9

✓ What’s wrong ..?I have this game on my iPad mini for a few years and love it , BUT! I have a new iPad and it’s driving me mad as I play one 3 letter word and them there’s a full page really annoying game ad that I can’t close ,I read that if I bought some coins these long ads would disappear but NO ! Why , I bought the coins Is this a con now ? Surely not , I can still play on my old iPad mini but the coins I bought on this iPad have not registered on that one . Canyou help ?
