✓ An opt out option?For the second or third time since I’ve been playing this game, I’m down to the last word. I’ve used three hints to establish the first three out of the five letters in the word. It can only be one word and there are only two ways to put in the remaining letters - an neither configuration work. So I’m stuck and cannot do forward. I’m suggesting some sort of ‘opt out’ button you could use to be able to move on to the next puzzle when the game will not let you complete the last word. I’ve used up a $1.99 bag of hints, which has completed almost every word of the level I’m on, but when I go to tap on the ‘answer’lettets I got using my hints, NOTHING happens! The letters are not accepted!! So I’m totally stuck now at the level I’m at. So how do I move on??.Version: 1.5.8
✓ Mrs.I have played this game for quite sometime - but I have always waited on the timeline for the free hint. I played when at the doctor’s office, waiting in the car, etc. - “free” time. I NEVER purchased hints (games are not that serious to me). I “assume” I accidentally hit purchase hints - which, again, I never have done. This app did not take me through a process where I could cancel the option (again, “assuming” I inadvertently hit the purchase option); it simply gave a check mark in a “done” circle with the words “your purchase was successful” and an “OK” to hit. I did not press “OK” and had to turn my phone off to get out of that screen. Then, after powering up, I selected the app to see if that purchase had been cancelled, since I did not press OK, but it had not been. How can hints be purchased without a purchaser providing financial info AND no option to cancel? What form of payment is being used? I will delete this app, and warn others against it, if unresolved. I DID NOT purchase hints and want to know what is being charged! Further, I order online frequently for clothing, home goods, etc., and legitimate sites (or sites with integrity) give an option to cancel a purchasing process AND gives a summary of the purchase including payment method. I did not receive such a thing and I never provided financial info on this app. I am very concerned..Version: 1.5.5
✓ Not keen on the new versionLoved the first version, not impressed at all with the changes. -the advertising is so prominent it feels cheap. - I accept that this might just be my preference, but the colours and typography seem less clean and delicate. -The pretty trails that follow your finger are minimised and they were so cool. ✓ I’m done. Too many adsI tolerated the ads but the most recent update seems to run ads after every single level. Less so when you get to levels with lots of words to find but still. ✓ Doesn’t always give the wordsI’ve been playing this game for sometime now and the further I’ve got into it the more you work round the words and the more seemingly errors you make until such time as the provider wants you to go forward. ✓ Daily PuzzlesI would like to see a timer on the daily puzzles. My daughter & I like to see who can get it the fastest. It’s fine when we’re together, but we live in different states, so it would be great to have a timer so we could compare to see who got it in the shortest time. I also wish you could go back and play lower levels. On the higher levels I have to have a scratchpad to write down words so I don’t forget. Sometimes you’ll use the right letter but it’s in the wrong position so you have to start from the beginning and I don’t always remember all the words I found..Version: 1.6.5

✓ Sounds even if your phone is silencedI used to love this app. I could play it while in waiting rooms, at home when others are asleep, etc, anywhere I had a little extra time to kill. I’ve gone through many, many levels and it’s a fun challenge, good for the brain. HOWEVER, it has recently changed so that no matter what your settings, ads make noise. This means I cannot use the app in most situations. I hate the noise. Update - Now it seems even if my phone is silenced, it still blasts sound unless I have toggled the level of sound on the phone to zero. Of course this means you have to remember to turn it back up when you unsilence your phone. Update. Now it repeatedly opens the Ap Store in the middle of play such that I can’t even get a look at the letters sometimes. AWFUL! Please make that stop!.Version: 1.5.8

✓ Great game, but fix the flaw!I enjoy playing this game daily. I like how the difficulty progresses with each level and how you have the opportunity to get hints by watching videos. But since the latest update, once I get the push alert that a new video is available, I pull the game back up on my iPad but the countdown clock freezes and shows the time that I last viewed it so I have to close out the app and restart it just to watch the video. Ironically, if I pull up the game before the countdown gets to zero, the counter works. This never happened before the update. Please fix this flaw. ✓ The ads are revoltingImagine you’re a woman and the only ad that you see are testosterone enhancers. Imagine you are white and all you see are “Revolt” and black power. Imagine you are old and skinny and all you see are ads to lose weight. I don’t know how ads are targeted but I’ve enjoyed the game for several years and I’ve just had my fill of ads. Only recently, the only ads I see are for black power and losing weight. Neither are applicable or interesting to me. ✓ Award DodgersTook off 2 stars because of recent shenanigans. So, in the last few months I have noticed that the videos offered to earn a spin for free coins is now a joke. Oh, you watch the video, most of which are those divisive political marlarky and then you get a message: “oops, something went wrong, video not available come back later”. So, today I decided to go to the shop for a watch a video for free coins. I watched the same political video free times (Yes, the complete video. -screen went black with little x in the corner) then got a message that “you must watch complete video to receive coins”. ✓ A lot of adsThey show an ad almost every single time you solve a level, and some of these levels are really short, so it can get EXTREME annoying (even more annoying are their constant nagging to "turn off ads"). Worse, a lot of these ads are of the type where you hit the X button (even when you hit it with a stylus) and a new ad / the app store pops up. ✓ No control over ad sound levelLove the app itself and don’t even mind the pop up ads between levels to keep the version free. However the app has recently added sound to the ads even when sound is turned off on the phone and the user cannot stop it. I have turned off sound on the app itself but the new programming for ads overrules it and the ads have sound. Not sure about anyone else but when my phone sound is turned off it is for a very good reason so I find this to be amazingly annoying. ✓ Good app, but hate the sound when you win a levelI agree with other reviews that note how jarring the trumpeting sound is when you win a level. I started playing years ago when the winning sound was more similar to the rest of the sounds in the game which I love! The current winning sound is cartoonish and seems to be trying to imitate other popular, more child-oriented games. Would LOVE the option to choose different sound effects, because this is a great, challenging word game. I played all the time before the sound effect change, but now I play only occasionally, with months going by where I don’t play at all, and that’s only because that one sound is so annoying. Then played extremely simple level, the only level allowed, before done I got an ad. Perhaps 30 second of "play" then the ad. Another simple level and another ad, no fun yet. Then a notice that of course I could get rid of the ads for money. No thanks, iT hasn't been fun yet, just a tease why would I expect any more. ✓ Dead end gameThis game was fun, but I have reached a dead end and stopped. It's not that there aren't more levels, it's just that many have become so complex that they are no longer challenging. They've moved into the frustrating zone where I cannot solve them without multiple hints. Up until now I would have given the game four stars, having deducted one for the irritating ads. Now I am deducting a second star for the design. I cannot skip a puzzle which is no fun to try a different one because you must complete each before moving to the next. ✓ GreedyI used to play this game a while ago and really enjoyed it. I bought a hint pack to remove the ads back then. I reinstalled the game now and discovered it got really greedy in the mean time, it plays unskippable video ads every 2 or 3 games. ✓ FunThis used to be a 5 star review. The game is a great idea, great execution. Fun, can play for free, IAP not needed. I had added that you'll want to pay to get rid of the ads, which I did, but recently the developers added other ads the you evidently can't get rid of. Super annoying, and a loss of 2 stars for me. I should mention that I really appreciate that so far I've not seen any squirrelly words that I'm not convinced are real words. I do agree with other reviews that suggest the app remember words I've solved within puzzles I've not finished. ✓ Ads often hang the app with no way to exit after playingI used to really enjoy this game, and would voluntarily play ads in thanks. (Playing ads generally awards hints or points with which hints can be purchased, but after years of play, I have thousands of accumulated hints so the ads don’t offer me any benefit.) My main frustration with this app is that in 2019, many ads hang the app with the close box never appearing at the end of play. Sometimes it appears that an ad is requiring a clickthrough to the App Store to the sales page for the advertised app, but even after complying, some ads don’t progress to conclusion. For that reason, I no longer play ads voluntarily. The number of mandatory ads has increased in this same time frame, so the app is still hanging frequently because of them. Sometimes when an ad does run to conclusion, clicking the close box launches another ad, and there may be several of these in sequence. I have not yet uninstalled it, but I no longer play daily, and I’ll keep an eye out for a better word game without bug-ridden ads in 2020..Version: 1.6.5

✓ Awesome game with words!This word game is definitely one the best out there. It's very easy to navigate and maneuver. It also has a very clever color scheme about it. The best part is, is that you get to learn at the same time. Everything you just read that I wrote about was from three or four months ago. Now I'm giving this app a one star rating and that's because I have reached up to level 500 twice, to have been brought down to level one for no reason, no explanation from any support, much less anyway to contact support either. So if you like playing really hard games and reaching a high-level to have to start all over and over and get no satisfaction conquering it, then this game is for you. That's not how I am though. Maybe the game got scared that I was going to beat it fully. Also, be sure to check current version and all versions ratings. I'm on the top of both lists. ✓ Glitches kill meIt’s bad enough that getting a new ipad meant I had to move back to level one when I had already cleared more than 1,000 levels, and I lost all of the hints that I had earned. This morning, though, some glitch happened as I solved the daily puzzle and it through me back to the beginning with zero hints, even though I had purchased some to eliminate ads. I had passed 1,300 levels this time. Not being able to get that back may keep me from playing any more. Obviously, I enjoyed the game if I replayed all of those levels, but this is just a killer. Especially losing the hints I had purchased and seeing the game with ads again. Ugh..Version: 1.8.6
