Avoid, they will steal your moneyAvoid!!! Got charged for a parking ticket a day after I returned the car - because I was “the last customer” that used it. Clearly remember parking in correct bay, have requested a proof of me leaving the car in wrong bay but got nothing back, just a “you were the last customer” so you have to pay. They could not prove that it was me who left the car in that bay the day before, just presented me with pictures of a car the day after. What a joke!! I was in a process of disputing it while they took money out of my account without a permission. To top it off I have seen their staff move cars around before, as my flat is facing one of the parking bays. AVOID!!! They will steal your money!!!.Version: 3.4

Good for those without a car, but be carefulIt worked great and I liked the convenience until I checked my ride receipts and saw a 84 dollar charge for a 2 hour ride. It took many emails to support to even find out the reason why and given how long ago the ride was, im not even sure their reasons for the fees are legitimate. Also make sure you have your own money to spend on fuel because if you happen to be tight on money and their fuel card doesn't work, they'll charge you fees for it even if you talk to their customer support..Version: 2.31.1

Bad customer serviceReally poor customer service, and lack of transparency over cost. They will charge £30 admin fee on top of any offenses. Their plan and pricing is really complex and most time is designed to maximise their fees. They take forever to process claims, lock your account while processing but still charge you monthly fees. Their customer service and damage recovery team don’t talk to each other and it’s impossible to get status on claim. Someone broke the outside mirror while the car was parked; and it has taken now 3 weeks without any update from customer service or indication of cost and timeline. You are also liable for loss of business while the car is unavailable. In a nutshell, this company lack customer focus, looking at making margins through fees, complex pricing and dubious practices. They won’t be in the market for too long..Version: 2.30.0

Becoming less cost effectiveI have been a member for over 5 years. This is my first rental since the first Covid wave. I now find prices have increased and the minimum rental is low 90 minutes. I will be taking a closer look at the other options in Toronto.Version: 2.34.1

Great car club terrible appThe app (and the website!) are terrible - slow to load and not user friendly. Booking cars is difficult and not clear, and the app sometimes get completely stuck loading - deleting and redownloading it is the only solution. The actual car club is a great concept though - I love having access to the cars. The customer service over the phone is also good. Just wish they’d invest in a proper app..Version: 2.34.0

Too limited - terrible loginThe worst part is the login. Face recognition is now available but you still have to put back your login so many times. Could you replicate Banks apps?.Version: 2.20.0

Constant problemsI’ve used Enterprises many times and there’s always some issue. The worst is that you get to book cars that aren’t actually there at their location and then you’re left searching around just to call the assistance, waiting for 10 minutes to speak to someone and find out that the car was left 5 miles away. Such a Simple Function Set Should Be EasyI downloaded the app to check an existing reservation. The first thing it does is try to ascertain my location; the closest city listed for my state was 8 hours away. What sense does this make? The next screen was for a login and password, which I don't have. I didn't see a link to establish login credentials and the "full screen" app just had a "forgot my password" link. That was enough for me to delete the app. I'll paraphrase what's already been said... this is a real company - how about a real app that a traveller would find useful and user-friendly?.Version: 1.1.1

Basically a port of the website......And the website isn't all that great. Slow, could have been more intuitive (basic design elements like not showing the day of the week when selecting a date are irritating), but it seems to get the job done. I didn't expect it to compete with the features of Zipcar's app, though I was hoping for something better than this. Update: New version, same mediocrity. Come on Enterprise. Can’t make reservationsEven when car is available and I have no reservations it gives errors that I need 15min between reservations.Version: 3.2

Wasted an hour of my lifeAbsolute disaster trying to rent a van through this app. Booked one and when I arrived at the location there was no sign of the vehicle. Walked up and down the car park for half an hour looking for it. Spent 20 minutes on hold to Enterprise to eventually be told the van was not at this location because of an “issue”. Got them to cancel my booking but when I looked back in the app the same van was still available at the same location. Very poor..Version: 3.8

UnreliableI’ve had loads of problems particularly with their electric cars, turning up to find they haven’t been charged. Can then take ages to get through to speak to anyone and there’s a wide range in the service you get once you get to speak to someone. Some staff are helpful and know what they’re doing but quite often I’ve spoken to people who haven’t got a clue (ie they tell me the car is charged when I’m sat there looking at an uncharged car). An expensive option when the service is so variable..Version: 3.6

No card less entry and a non mobile optimized site???Honestly, the length of the application/approval process, the fact that you have to use a card (which I'm totally going to lose within a week) to enter the vehicles instead of just through the app like Getaround, the membership fee...which I think I got waived but I'm not really sure...same goes for the "$10 driving credit" for signing up, the lack of locations for these cars is not going to cut it. Bad customer service when car stopped workingDespite the car only having done 400 miles and me already having accounted for about 69 of those, it stopped working at the end of the road getting set in park and would t move. Customer services acknowledged the fault and called AA who would be there in 2 hours, but I got it going an hour later and have spent the past 2 months arguing with them that there was an issue - they wasted the whole purpose of hiring the car for the weekend and trying to get the refund that the advisor on the day had requested. Not happy and you can get cheaper car hire in Edinburgh so unlikely to use again or recommend....Version: 2.26.1

Disappointment all roundThe app works fine, but they just don’t have enough cars to cope with the demand in my area. There are two vehicles locally, which are constantly booked up at the times we want to use them, or they are marked as available but need cleaning which means they are not actually available after all. They don’t seem to be able to schedule when the cleaning will take place, so that takes them out of action until the cleaning has been completed. The app will probably work well enough if you plan far enough in advance, but definitely don’t expect to make a booking at short notice. Hourly rate is higher at weekends, which wasn’t made clear at the time of sign up..Version: 2.32.0

Difficult to check availabilityThe Belfast location has cars available at the enterprise car rental location only and it’s it takes a lot of trial and error to figure out availability. Basically need to try every time a lot to figure out availability. It would be good if it just showed the availability on a calendar so I can book the car for errands and such..Version: 2.34.1

Seriously?I am shocked at all the 5 star reviews, because seriously, my dog could design a better app. Plus it never remembers touch id on the iphone. There’s no excuse..Version: 2.26.1

Where do I startAwful service - accused of damaging the car and an email telling me they were taking out the excess of £100 from my bank . Customer services handled it so so badly , completely indifferent to anything I had to say and you could never deal with the same person twice ! Basically as long as Enterprise get their money they really don’t care who it is from . I absolutely did not do any damage to the car but what do I do ? If I don’t pay I get a black mark on my finances - it’s not worth the fight for £100 but I am bitterly bitterly disappointed . They took the money this morning and I guess they win - I have paid someone else’s damage and yes I did follow the protocol before I get an automated reply from someone from customer services !! Awful awful awful!!! Plenty of other things have gone on before but this time it really has gone too far . Be very careful if you are thinking of using this service as they enjoy taking money from people . This is the third review by the way / the other 2 haven’t appeared!! Wonder why that would be ? Why it doesn’t show rates in the list ?Its very basic app. But when i search for cars near by it list out all the cars without showing the rates !!! I have to click on each cars to see price. So uninstalled it and using mobile browser which shows all info the list..Version: 2.31.1

Awful & unreliable. Avoid.Terrible app. Very unreliable and lacking in crucial functionality. Since it takes forever to get through to a human on the phone, this is seriously impacting on my ability to use the car club. No capacity to cancel a booking once it's started, so if you turn up and find the car isn't there, (an increasingly frequent occurrence) there's no way to urgently book an alternative car. Often bookings simply disappear from the 'my reservations' section. Then sometimes you get 'unconfirmed' reservations!? And you can't cancel them to create a new booking. And now they've phased out use of the membership to access the cars, you're forced to use this unreliable and buggy app. Seriously needs some investment to fix the bugs and sort out the massive gaps in functionality. Apps okayJust wished they would make it’s easier to use your corporate account and personal. I’m having to log out each time to use my personal Ba corporate is so annoying and with the constant password changes hate to keep up with all this. Then it takes over 5months to enterprise to verify myself even tho I have a corporate account and previously had a personal account for the last 5yrs but took over 5months to confirm my personal account 🙄lost a lot of things during this period when I really needed a car. My first experience of Car ClubIn terms of the vehicle fine. In terms of the admin, poor. Vehicle damaged when I picked it up. Followed the procedure, which seemed to go well. But then: no confirmation that I was clear of any unwarranted charges relating to the damage. Also, impossible to check as haven’t received an itemised bill for the trip (Uber does it within minutes…). Because of the damage I was late getting back. The information in the member pack is misleading. It was not possible to amend the booking. I called in and said I would be late, but despite this got a chase call from which it was obvious that my previous notification had not made it into the system. Because there is no itemised statement I don’t know whether there is a late charge or not. Mileage rate is not easy to find on the app, or when making a booking. Have received no response to Several electronic request for confirmation/clarification..Version: 2.30.0

Love the service but the app is AWFULLet me start by saying this, I have no issues with Enterprise Car Share itself. The service itself is great, convenient and hassle-free. This app though? Terrible. First of all, the app is buggy buggy buggy. I put in my home address so I can rent the car up the street from my house and the the app shows me cars Downtown, 8 miles away. I need to close the app via swiping it away on the app switcher to get it to show me the cars near my house. The interface leaves much to be desired as well. To top it off, the app is SLOW. We're talking 20-30 seconds of loading to proceed to the next page of the reservation process. It's not an Internet issue either. It's the app itself. Enterprise Car Share is a great service but this app ALMOST makes me want to drop the service altogether out of frustration..Version: 2.6.0

Poor disclosure of pricingAs a concept this is great. My issue lies with the lack of clarity as to pricing. For example I rented a car for the weekend and knew I would take a hit on mileage however, my previous trips are not stored on the app and once a booking has been made, the price of that booking disappears. The invoices are almost a foreign language when they come in at the end of the month. Previous rentals and an update as to the cost once a rental is over to take in to account the mileage charge would be welcome..Version: 2.24.0

New PoliciesThe app is hard to maneuver and office/customer service is almost impossible to get ahold of. The app isn’t clear about pricing (returning late/early) and does not show any of your previous trips with them. Fees/fines rack up fast for and rarely did i not have to contact CarShare to inform them that the previous driver had new damage to the vehicle. Luckily they took my work for it and I was never accused of any of the damage, although it was a constant worry and issue every rental. While this service was very convenient, a new policy makes it so that you can only rent if you are over 21, where as before it was 18+. My subscription has now been terminated..Version: 2.28.0

Is the car available or not ?When you open the application you can see number of cars available. You think they are available and make arrangements. Then when you actually make a booking you find out that that car cannot be booked. This is not right. There should be more clarity about whether a car can be booked or not stil before you proceed to booking. I rely on these cars for my work that requires me to confirm quickly my availability. But for me to really know whether a car is available I have to first try to book it. And if I book it and then get no job I will have a car for no use. I have to know before booking if the car is available or not. Can you please amend the application so that it is not misleading anymore showing the green light of availability when in fact the car is not ready to be booked..Version: 2.32.0

TerribleMy account will not load! Even the old version would not keep you logged in to your account. There is a button you can push that says "keep me logged in" and it doesn't work for me. Very frustrating to have to look up your member number every time I need to use this application. Your online website is not mobile friendly and the only option you have is to sit and wait on the phone for someone to help you. I have traveled EVERY week with enterprise since April and I'm seriously considering changing companies because I don't have time to deal with terrible online service..Version: 2.0.0

Worst company ever! Please stay away!!I agree with most of the reviews on here. These people don't know what the hell they are doing. The worst costumer service you can ever have and incapable staying on top of things. On many occasions when I've booked a car with them, the previous member didn't bring the car back on time. The next day on my last booking and after I got transferred to a different car that I didn't book, I received an email from their office saying my membership is being revoked for inconveniencing other members but I was the one who is being inconvenienced. Right now they suspended my membership because of that. I am looking to terminate my membership with them instead of a suspension but they removed access to my account. I have to call my credit card company to change my credit card to stop them from charging my account. I am one of their most loyal customers and bring them a lot of business and referrals, but they failed to see that too since incompetence is on the way. Also, expect a hell of attitude on the phone when talking to their representatives. Never again..Version: 2.10.1

Car stalled and overchargedI left another car rental company because of poor customer service. I recently joined this auto-share company and seem to be experiencing the same difficulties, poor customer service. First, I was over charged and then given a credit. Second, on my first rental the car stalled in the middle of a side street, thank goodness it was not on a Main Street. I had to ask people to help me push and move the car. Apparently I should not have taken the key out of the car, mmmm??? Finally, I called for assistance and given incorrect info - the car stalled again. I was offered 30min extension. Then weeks later I was charged for the 30min. Lol. Are you serious. At this point I would not recommend this auto share service..Version: 2.21.0

Don’t waste your timeThis is an app that someone would have designed 20 years ago, with a limited budget. Not at all intuitive, if you’ve used Uber or zipcar or any other service, you’ll be disappointed..Version: 3.10

App Needs WorkI don't have any issues in general with Enterprise CarShare. But the app it's need work. I find that it's really buggy. It takes a LONG time to load. I requested an extension once and thought I was all set. Since it takes the pages so long to load the request timed out without my knowledge and I was charged a late fee. Second time, I submitted an extension request and the app said it was approved, but I didn't receive the confirmation email. Apparently someone had booked a reservation at that time and once again I was charged a late fee. I've never had these sort of app issues with Zipcar..Version: 2.6.0

2.0 getting better, but...So the big day has come and 2.0 is out. Happy to see it, finally native app. A few things: - the underlying API is still painfully! slow. Please work a bit on the backend side - get rid of the super ugly spinner in the app (btw you use 2 different kind of spinners) - in the filter vehicles add a picture for each car - under the availability filter the 'in use' doesn't make any sense. Why would i want search for a car i can't reserve?! - I have a number on my card and also got a user ID in email. When you try to log in to the app or request a password reset you basically don't know which one to use. If you use the card number you won't get a password reset email. Purely stupid. - bonus point: who was that smart to punch a hole on thr fuel card and put it on a keyring together with a bunch of instruction papers??? Who?! It is impossible to swipe the fuel card anywhere unless you cut the card and get it off from the keyring. Facepalm. That's it for now. Please check the problems listed. There are plenty smaller usability issues besides the listed ones but the new app is already a great step forward. Keep it up!.Version: 2.0.0

Horrible stateI went to pick up my car, upon entering the vehicle, i was greeted with Cannabis all over the floor and centre console by the handbrake and under the seats to. It stunk really bad of smoke and there was rubbish EVERYWHERE, so before i left i put all the rubbish in the front passenger floor and i was surprised with how much there actually was. I then got into another car and it was slightly cleaner but still dirty and i understand cars cant be constantly cleaned because of the nature of the rental, but with the state I've found some cars, they REALLY need to improve something! But apart from the state of the cars, haven't had any other issues.Version: 2.31.1

Bad ServiceMy reservation got canceled last week and no email was sent the day before letting me know the car had to be taken out for service. This is a huge inconvenience and NOT good customer service. When things like this happen why can’t you notify the customer..Version: 2.26.2

Poor user experienceAlmost every reservation there is some sort of issue that involves having to call the support line - the car has not been returned from previous reservation, the car has been abandoned by the previous user fifteen minute walk away from supposed location, the car has broken glass all over the back seat which causes injury to passenger, the car is parked exactly according to instructions and gets a ticket which is charged to my account (still not resolved) etc etc. Overall just a really poor user experience compared to competitors like zipcar (which I have used many many times without issue). The odd hiccup can be expected but much could be avoided with a better app / use of technology eg the location of car in app is based on gps, next user is notified previous user is running late etc. Sadly I have moved to a city where zip car doesn’t operate but I will probably just stop using enterprise and get taxis instead because it’s so painful..Version: 3.5

Just about functionalThe app works but just for the basics. You can book, unlock and lock the vehicle. That’s great but it’s missing some other useful info and you then have to log into the website to find that out which is a bit of a pain. For the app developer: ability to see your reservation costs and a some sort of direction facility on the map from current location would be useful..Version: 3.3

Doesn't work.I have no idea why this app has such a high rating. I am using the current version and almost every time I open it and either search for a vehicle or try to view my current reservation, it cannot load the page. I get the spinning "loading" icon forever. The only solution is to delete the app then download it again. Once it's newly downloaded it will work once or twice then become useless again. Poor covid availability lost me for goodI was a loyal customer since the old City Car days… so we’re talking September 2014 and I’d book a car about once every six months or so. When covid hit, however, their system just couldn’t set out correct availability, with their strict covid cleaning measures meaning cars would take longer to get back onto the booking system, yet still showing up as available. If you clicked on a car to book you’d be presented with an error. The end result being that cars were never available, and it was impossible to tell which ones were. £60 a year for nothing. I cancelled in the end two years ago September 2020 and since then have found many other far better car clubs. Am now a member of Zip car, Virtuo, UFO Drive, and Hiyacar and they’ve all been really brilliant, super convenient and very simple with no silly membership fees either. I now hire vehicles a lot more frequently too. Enterprise you’ve lost a good customer (and I suspect many others) for good..Version: 3.4

Appalling experience.I never take the time to write reviews because most of the time other people have already wrote what I would write about an app whether negative or positive. But on this occasion I’ve decided to make an exception as I have used this app about 4-5 times already and each time has been dreadful at best and absolutely infuriating at worst. First of all, the app takes ages to load availability of cars, if it actually does load - most often it doesn’t and I have had to literally uninstall and reinstall the app twice to get the availability map to work. Furthermore, availability on the app doesn’t actually match up to availability over the phone. The most recent hire I made was like this - I could only hire the car up to 12pm on the app and when I called the company they extended it to 1pm. After I had an issue with the car, as it wasn’t left charging by the previous user, the company somehow extended the hire to 4pm to allow us time to charge the vehicle. Before the same hire started, I wasted the first 10 minutes of the hire trying unlock the car via the app (surprise, it never did unlock via the app, even after logging out and in again, installing & reinstalling the app and finally restarting my iPhone!). I was forced to call the company to get it unlocked. Dreadful experience - this company would have been amazing if the small details were looked after!.Version: 2.34.0
