✓ So far, sokayWas obsessed with this game. Even became fantastic at beating the bejeweled games. Then, it happened. As soon as I got ahead of the game: was able to stock up food on multiple levels and max out storage, the game crashed. I did EVERYTHING - restarted, reset, hard reset, deleted and reinstalled the app/game. Nothing worked. I began a new game, seemed everything was going fine. Logged into my account to continue my previous game and suddenly the game crashes yet again. I've tried all of this on multiple devices. After spending far more money on gems than any sane person should, this is how my loyalty is appreciated? By having the game shut itself down if I get too far ahead? I've contacted tech support through several modes of communication and have been auto-responded that G5 is out of offices until January 8th. I'd love that job. However, I'm a teacher and this WAS my stress relief. As of January 8th I will be pushing for this to be fixed pronto OR I will be demanding my money back. All of it. Unacceptable and ridiculous. *****UPDATE***** - NEVER received ANYTHING: Communication, compensation, or a fix. Have started over as of March an entire year later just to se did t happens again. ✓ The gameThe game is just a money sucker you make it where you have to spend money in order to advance and that's straight up BS. If you don't by the gems to help unlock stuff or the special items to help with the stupid mini games you can't clear them. For example on 2nd level of the mini game just to feed the woman in the dang tent you only allow 15 moves to clear 40 plus grass patches and with out the dumb special items you can't. The game be whole lot better if get rid of the mini game all together you have all the running around to do just to gather the materials up. Waiting for them to reappear on the page so you can complete the task then here comes the stupid mini games you have to do for every thing. Having to do 3 to 5 match games for every task is ridiculous and tedious and clearly just a means to get more money out of you. Learning a new recipe? OK. But every time you cook? ✓ Tedious match 3 game with lack of progressionSuch promise at the start, but alas it didn't deliver. Always seeking for ways to have you spend without reward back. The most simple of tasks require you to complete puzzle matches within very unrealistic time scales unless you want to spend real cash to buy diamonds for each 45 second time extension which is no guarantee of passing each level. Three hard levels for each simple task compounds the level of both frustration and the resultant boredom of here we go again. Such a promising game but away to delete as the tedious nature of its progression is designed for money to win vs pay a little and gain a little in the more sustainable fashion that other game designers use. ✓ Overkill on the bejewelled style gameThis has the potential to be an awesome game but it quickly becomes basically boring with the bejewelled overkill and obvious money grab. Having to win 5 games in a row of the bejewelled just to move forward quickly becomes boring. I've just deleted the game as I can't really progress unless I want to pay for extra time on the match 3 bejewelled style game. It doesn't make sense either as the first 2 of 5 games in the solar panel have about 2 and a half minutes then the 3rd level gets really difficult with much less time so it's almost impossible to win without paying for extra time. Why make the level much harder and only have a minute to win.....unless it's all about the developers making money. Not impressed at the developers pure greed. ✓ What a disappointmentThe amount of work you have to put in to then not win the 3 or 5 levels you have to go through on a meagre 2lives and short time just to complete 1 task out of many is ridiculous. You have to keep them fed, happy, clean and friends with each other, simple enough concept but then to complete the set of 3/5 levels perhaps 5 or 6 times and if you don’t complete them quick enough you have to play more levels to cook their food so you can then re-feed them and make them happy again whilst you are now irritated and then still try and make them win the levels again. Awfully frustrating. The only way to get on at a relative pace is to buy crystals, that I shall not be doing. What a disappointment. Went back to the beginning just so I can play but I think I’m going to find another game instead. It appears I didn’t hit send to post this review. Now, several weeks later I am on Level 24 and having the exact SAME problem as “Was fun...but then”. In order to move forward in the game one MUST complete a task that cannot be completed because the first of four puzzles upon completion goes into an endless loop. Obviously the developers put this game on the market and have not been able to stay ahead of the players. I love playing this game and was playing it before the “match three” games were added. I have reached the “end” completing all available levels, waited, watched, just to be disappointed that the next level still was not available. ✓ Nothing but another match 3 gameAfter 2 weeks, I have decided that the developers have made this as a match 3 game with a story line. You cannot do anything without having to stop and play a match three game first. And the games are hard! It took me a week to hook up a battery because I couldn’t beat the game. The main thing that made me delete it the first time and making me want to maybe delete it again now is the match 3 puzzles. The time limit is WAY too short and WAY too hard especially for the beginning of the game right when you start playing. You have to beat 3 stages of the match 3 and can't even get past the first stage because how hard it is and hardly any time at all to do it...then you realize you have 3 of those to do even if you do beat the first one. ✓ Love the story, but not all of the changesIn this latest update, the Match-3 games required to advance the story were changed from ‘timed’ to ‘limited moves’. There are so many other apps out there with limited move Match-3. I used to like the timed ones in Survivors, as a change of pace. Previously, when a new chapter came out, I would binge on this game, solving Match-3 levels, collecting items and completing quests to find out what happened next in the story, but I’ve hardly played this new update at all, because I’m finding the limited move levels are even more designed to force players into spending real money just to get enough moves to complete the puzzles. If the change from timed to limited move was designed to improve player experience, and not to generate more cash flow, maybe the developers should give players a choice. ✓ I loved this game at first but...The storyline is great but there are highly difficult match three games that are completely impassable that force players to pay for crystals to pass and I’ve read many complaints on this from others and one person already spent $25 and isn’t even as far as I am in the game. I find this highly unfair because players expect to be playing a free game to maybe spend a few dollars but not more than that to be able to complete the game. I believe that this game has done this to steal money from their players and I’ve contacted support and tried to talk to them about the issue and they told me I need to be more descriptive with my problems with the game itself. So it has become clear to me that the developers of this game don’t plan to fix the issue. They only plan to expand their pockets and continue to rob players. It would be more efficient if players were to have to pay a one time fee of $3-$5 to download and play the game rather than having to spend over $20 to even get halfway past the second location. I will be deleting this game if I can’t pass this five round match three game to go to the second location by 5 days. 5 days for 5 rounds, we shall see. And in order to find anything, you have to spend either a bunch of crystals, or spend hours trying to tap on things to find out where some random related item is. I play a lot of games - but buying added jewels etc is an option and advantage not a necessity. ✓ Forcing people to buy crystals to pass a knock off bejewelled game is not the one.I started playing this game a good couple of years ago on my iPad. When it became obsolete I downloaded it on my phone. It’s extremely tedious and time consuming, but a good way to pass a bit of time if you have it to waste. Now, the thing that really infuriated me are the jewel games. It’s an extremely obvious ploy to force people into buying crystals. I understand and believe you deserve to earn money on a beautifully crafted game, but trickery isn’t fair. The first two levels are really simple and easily beatable in one or two goes. Then it gets to the third level of the jewel game and it’s painstakingly obvious it’s a money grab, because it’s frankly impossible. There aren’t enough turns to objects that need to be obtained, and there are no ways to earn free crystals (watching ads for example) or anything remotely close. Other apps I play, I’ll watch 5+ ads to gain premium items happily because it’s done fairly. This isn’t done fairly. Now I know why I deleted it twice..QuiksilvertylaVersion: 1.14.1100

✓ So much failed potentialI just started this game. I enjoyed the beach despite the grind of fetch quests to cater for the rapid reduction of character attributes. The plot intrigued me and I was willing to tolerate what I felt was an unnecessary “match three” game to explore everything else. How much more fun would the island be without that awful timed game?!? I would (and did a little) pay real money just to explore the mystery- maintain characters and find objects. But then I reached the second location and realised that I would never make it through the mystery without spending vast quantities of money. The timed match game had become increasingly stressful and impossible without using too many resources. Three levels, each needing extra time and/or magnifying glasses etc... it is too much. I soon realised that many of the puzzles require more time than you're given. You need to buy crystals (with real money) to get extra time. I know game makers have to make a profit but this is ridiculous- 60 seconds to complete a full page of gem swaps but with most gems double or triple locked. The game does not move the gems fast enough to even allow it to be completed in that time!! Also for some problems, e.g. Charge the battery, it will say you need to complete 3 games- but you'll complete 3 only for it to say 2 of 3 completed, and then give you 1 more level! Total swizz!! I've also finished the puzzles for a problem only for the game to bounce back to the start page, not saving my progress and making me redo the puzzles. ✓ Hated it.I played for less than a day and deleted it. As other reviews said, the issue is the build in 'Bejeweled' rip-off match three puzzle game. I am no fan of that type of game but at first was going to tolerate it to get into the narrative of the broader survivor game. But the puzzles were designed to bleed you of gems, which you have to pay $$ for. The puzzles are timed and occasionally far too hard to solve without spending gems on extra time. I have played lots of games where you spend cash for boosts, time speed ups, etc. but none so blatantly impossible without it. F- that. Also they demand the people review it early in the game, before most realise how much they would have to spend. Nasty. ✓ DisappointingThis has the potential to be a really great game but what it doesn’t make clear is that it’s essentially just a match 3 game. Not just any match 3 game but an impossible one. ✓ Cool but too many Gem Mini GamesThis game has a cool overall theme to it. Stranded on island, find things, survive blah blah.. which is cool enough... but then they have you do these gem mini games for every little thing and it really gets tiresome. I’m close to giving up on the game and deleting it because of it. With as much effort as the developers have already put into this app why not put some more coding in it and not have the mini games always be about matching gems.. why not for when learning recipes there’s a little mini game of actually cooking and adding ingredients? For the fixing the nets, radios, satellites, etc you actually have us trying to connect the wires, charge the battery, fix the net? I see plenty of other apps that are like this already.. cooking games, Doctor games, repair games.. just add them into this one! ✓ Deleting the app againI came back to the game thinking everything would be calmer with the 3 matching games. And honestly it’s only gotten worse. I literally spent a couple years away from the game and then decided today to give it another try. ✓ In-App Purchases Are NecessaryThe graphics are great even on a small screen like a iPhone XS. And the story line is interesting. However, the player has to play Match-3 every time there’s an action that needs to be completed. These are frequently is in sets of 3 where the final set has to be completed in so few moves that it is almost impossible to win unless unless you use power-ups or have to replay the set over and over again to advance. This can get annoying. The minimum number of crystals is 15 for $1.99 and it takes 10 crystals to buy 5 extra moves. So you’re basically paying a minimum of $1.33 to win each Match-3. The next set of 40 crystals is $4.99 and you can get 15 extra moves for 24 crystals which works out to $2.99. Another complaint is that you can’t take anything from one location to another. In the first location, I built up some food (because your characters can get hungry) so the crystals I used to upgrade my storage in the first location were lost when my characters went to the second and the storage reverted to 25 units. I’m enjoying the fact that we have a Ghost friend named Bob, and the fact that I can zoom in somewhat, but it could be improved. These items are located near the main location for another quest (the “dance floor”) and anytime I attempt to pick them up, I am redirect to the dance floor. You can barely beat some of the puzzles without using gems(in game currency). I had a situation where I used a gem and still lost that game. Once you get through all the currently available levels there is no way to reset the game and start over from the very beginning. Basically the game comes to a dead end until the developers release another location, until then you cant replay the game. This annoys me because I had not setup an user account that the game says is important for them to save user data and prevent loss of game progress, but it does that whether or not you create an account. It also means that new players cant play if they are on a device a previous player had used. For me, who loves to replay games that I had previously enjoyed, this is a major drawback of the game. ✓ FrustratingEnjoyed this game for quite a while then got frustrated and took a long break from it. Gets to the point where the levels are ridiculously difficult and you cannot finish them without extra moves & gems that cost an absolute fortune compared to other games. Perhaps the developers should make a sound business decision and note that dropping the costs would mean more people would spend money and they would end up making more than they do now. ✓ Frustrating and repetitiveHaving to solve four or more puzzles in a row is really turning me off playing. To make things worse I’m not even halfway through. I expect this will climb to six or more, if I make it to the final area. Having to repeat puzzles to make food is tiresome. Once you have discovered / learned the recipe you should be able to go back again without having do more puzzles. Having to repeat very similar tasks or the same again with battery.
