✓ Good but limitingI love this and use it all the time. I would suggest for anyone to use this app but the free version is a little limiting. But you can definitely work around it. The biggest problem is that you can’t take the app’s logo off your work..Version: 2.4.5
✓ Beyond DisappointedNo Font choices to individualize, can only type in your text and then choose a cookie cutter layout. Needed to create a large poster, and chose the large size format, none of the layouts fill the page and no options for personalizing, no borders, limited graphics, no shapes or options to move text around, change size, etc. What a waste of $$$$ I never leave bad reviews, but this is an exception. Cannot believe this app costs so much with so little to offer. (Using on iPad Pro).Version: 2.4.5
✓ Not recognizing my subscriptionI love the app when it works! I’ve created so many great things for my personal and professional IG account. The only issue I seem to keep having is with my subscription recognition. I have had a paid subscription for probably 2 years now, and every 5 or 6 times I sign in, the app treats me like my subscription doesn’t exist. So, it places the watermark over my work and won’t let me delete it until I “upgrade” (which I cannot do, since I have the pro package), and I don’t get access to all the other perks of being a subscriber. I don’t mind this glitch every now and then, bc usually I close the app and reopen and it works fine. But these last couple of times, it won’t work. When I hit “upgrade,” I am told I already have the subscription and cannot upgrade, but still... nothing changes. Other than this, this is the best app I’ve seen for clear and easy creations for someone who needs to make content on the fly..Version: 2.4.4

✓ App stopped working for no reason after months of perfectionOnly reason I am rating this app 3 stars is because the downloading of stock images started blocking me. Otherwise it deserves a five, because up until yesterday it was absolute perfection. Now it’s staying “couldn’t find any image” on simple searches like flowers. I was in flowers yesterday trying to download images for Mother’s Day and as I click on different images to make memes for multiple people, it’s saying “download can’t be completed”. I pay for pro or premium feature all stock photos should be accessible. I shut the app down. ✓ Monthly charge is a downerGood enough app,not the easiest to work out and the presets and stock images are few ,but it works ,the downfall of this app is the monthly charge instead of a one off payment ,fortunately searched and found another app that offers the same for free albeit no stock images and after a week or so I purchased the full app ,albeit no stock images but that’s the least of the problems as we can always search for images so no worries there ,deleted app..Version: 2.5.6

✓ Worst Support and Worst ProductPurchased this app a year ago and it worked fine. Early this year, it started crashing. Done all possible troubleshooting and contacted support last March 2021. ✓ Okay Expansion on WordSwagAt first I was stunned by the chutzpah of somebody so brazenly ripping off WordSwag, one of the best and most beloved apps in the store. But then I tried it and I see that they have truly added a ton of features. Still, WordSwag sells from 99 cents to as much as five dollars depending on when you buy it. But the real difference between them is not $$ but approach to graphic design. If you want your type to look like it was done by a graphic designer without being a graphic designer, choose WordSwag. Adding all these options makes it possible to make something hideous unless you have skills. I suspect that s keep-it-simple design approach is why the makers of WordSwag refuse to offer all these choices. And the type designs in WordSwag are in a whole other league (and there are more options) than the ones in Typorama. Having said all that, I would have upgraded if it wasn’t so expensive..Version: 2.0.10
✓ Was working but no longer isI have been using this app for over a year and found it to be a brilliant and simple to use app with high quality images and text overlays. Recently after the last update however the exports from this app are of such poor quality they are of no use. I have tried to contact customer service but the replies were very few and far between and now have stopped. Meanwhile an app which I paid the upgrade for is useless to me and my business. ✓ Deleted.It’s just too expensive. I got it to replace another app that seems to have sadly vanished, first couple of times I used the free version, it was great. Thought I’d found the ideal replacement. However, after a couple of uses, if you don’t have the money to upgrade to pro, it’s unusable. ✓ Hey devs, why are you so hard to contact?I’m having to try and get the developers attention by writing this review as the “contact us” feature in the app doesn’t work and their Twitter account can’t be messaged. When I try to use the “contact us” feature I get a message saying “Please set up an email account in settings”. I HAVE an email account set up in my iPad settings, so if this error message refers to some other settings that I’m supposed to be using to set up an email account, I have no idea what they’re referring to. I’ve seen a few other people also complaining about this so I know I’m not the only one having this problem. ✓ Pretty goodThere are many pros and cons to this app. I love all the stock images, and the fonts available to everyone, and I really like how you can pick random quotes, because I’d never heard of some of them before. That’s great! But some things that really bug me is the fact that you have TO PAY TO SAVE THE IMAGE AND RETURN TO IT LATER!!! I think that they shouldn’t charge us for wanting to work on it later, it’s Ridiculous in my personal opinion. Also, lots of the fonts you have to pay for. $5.00!!! That’s not a huge deal, but it’s a con on this pros and cons list. Lastly, the watermark add. At the bottom of you image that you have created, once you save to your photos or share, a large add shows up. And I mean HUGE compared to PicCollages watermark add. That had bugged me, but this is crazy. Could you maybe make it smaller if it HAS to be there please? Overall, this is a pretty good app that I will definitely keep, despite the things that bug me. ✓ App quality poor, too many glitchesThe Typorama app was better in the past but now has serious glitches which make it unreliable. The export quality has become just poor and it won’t save projects properly. The watermarks won’t save in the correct position and app just crashes for no reason at all. ✓ Suggestions for improvementI would like to begin by expressing my love for the app. The more I use it, the more I like it, however there are some things that need fixed and some things that I think would make the app better. For one, the 3D rotate feature is broken; the picture saves incorrectly, without the rotation in place. I have to take screenshots of the picture and crop it, which affects the quality of the photo. Also, every time I click "reuse," it affects the integrity of the previous text. Again, I have to get around this by taking screenshots and cropping. As for additions, I think it would really add to the app if there were an option to reverse the text so that it can be backwards for things like reflections and shadows. Overall, I really enjoy the app, but I think it could be better if it were fixed and some features were added to improve the experience. Please take my input into consideration. ✓ Basically good but...For making some basic memes and adding my signature, Typorama works well, so far. However, I do not see a way to discard or start over in the middle of creating something. For instance, if I am in the middle of choosing an image to write on, and I change my mind, there is no “back” button or “home” button for me to click to start over. Perhaps the developer can chime in here. Am I missing something? Twice, I had to restart my phone just to get Typorama back on its home page. Also, I have not yet figured out how to use the watermark feature. I may have to play with it a bit more. ✓ Took Away My PurchaseI originally bought this app around 3 months ago. While using it I noticed there was this huge watermark and I wanted to get it removed. So I clicked on it and it said I could remove it FOREVER for 99 cents or I could upgrade to pro and get better fonts, no watermark, and some other features. So I just bought the remove watermark since I didn’t really need anything else. I just went back into this app today to make another video, just to find out there’s the same watermark even though I payed 99 cents. I click on it to see the options and you can not only upgrade to pro for $6. I also clicked the restore purchase button and nothing happened. ✓ Great app, but...Typorama is great for photo editing, and I enjoy using it because the mechanics are simple and easy to master, but it has one aspect that really makes the all app fall short. You have to pay for more than half of the text, overlay & save feature options available. As well as that, there is a watermark that you have to pay to remove, and you can’t just buy a cheap one-time watermark removal payment. No, you have to buy the whole pro bundle. I understand the developers need to make money, and there are still some good features on the app, but I’d definitely like Typorama a lot more if there were less “pro features” or pro was cheaper, because not everyone can afford the price on offer. Otherwise a great app with quite a few editing options (aside from the ones you have to buy). ✓ Pro is Buggy, You don't get what you pay forI tried to contact support in app and message says to first add email to settings. No settings can be found, if it's there I would love to know where. You know that classic gear icon that represents settings? Put that in the top corner or something. You guys are the app developers, why do I have to point these things out. If you start creating an image with text and your phone goes to sleep, you will find on waking up that the text is gone. So all that fine tuning for nothing. You have to tap on the plus button to get text to show on the image and start again. After completing the graphic then sharing through WhatsApp, not only does it not share but the text gets distorted and cropped. Guys this app is so buggy I'm going to forget about it for several months and hopefully when I return the updates will have fixed all this obvious stuff up. For some people it is worth the costly fees, however for people who purchased the app before the new pricing came in to play we have lost features that we paid for. One of the main things that annoys me is the fact that you can’t just simply edit various boxes of different text, so you can only have one specific type of font and if you want to for example change the display of it or add different paragraphs, it’s just impossible. This is a major issue as sometimes I just want to write a quote on the top of the picture, and another one in the bottom. There’s not new fonts or new updates to make the 17£ of pro version worth of purchasing. ✓ Great Fonts but needs workGreat options and easy to use. However, extremely frustrating that there is no “undo” button, yet texts generated are entirely random so you have to go through them slowly because otherwise you have to click a million times to get back to the one you liked. It’s honestly ridiculous that an app I paid for doesn’t have the simplest undo function. Next, every time you select a font type or click to see another version of that font type, it resizes your text NO MATTER WHAT. So you have to resize it over and over and over and over to be able to see if that particular font type works for your photo. This is just stupid. It shouldn’t resize the text automatically at all, much less after you’ve already adjusted it and set it to your liking. These two things are such basic and primitive features that should be in ANY app like this, especially one in which you pay to use all of the options. ✓ Snapping FeatureSooooo wish this had a snapping to grid feature for when you resize objects. I was originally using another very similar app and it had that feature which I think is super important! Being able to resize things so they aren’t slanted - if / when that gets added I will be rating 5 stars and recommending to everyone I do business with because the ability to save your templates is key! This app is amazing overall and I highly recommend it! The customer service is incredible as well, no complaints besides the snapping that’s why I’m rating it a 3 because it’s very frustrating. If I were to be “picky” I don’t like the dark user face - I think for a design app it could be designed way more “clean”, but hey - it gets the job done for a flat fee and they aren’t charging you $20 a month...something to be thankful for!!.Version: 2.2
✓ Could be betterApparently has quite a lot unless you have a specific style in mind then you are quite limited to what you can actually choose. More fonts deffo needed especially with a more creepy/horror aesthetic. The two tone/tri tone idea for fonts is a good idea but again limited to only the colour combos they have picked, if you can actually pick your own colours (minus the gradient option) then i cant find it. A simple option to undo last action would of been useful, there is a “history” option but this just seems to revert my text back to the step before rather then reverting the filter or background option you chose. The overlays are quite limited but some are pretty good, i lean towards the black and white ones which makes my options even minimal. After getting tho pro version im not that impressed to be honest, its kind of simple to use but i would rather sit down and struggle with Adobe which i hardly know to to use to make something basic enough for this app to be able to do. ✓ So close and yet...I feel like anytime I write an app review it usually means there are things I really like about it, but then there just 1 or 2 caveats that make it excruciatingly painful because the app is so close to being everything I hoped for. This is one of those apps. It does a fabulous job with the fonts. And the fonts are great. The problem though is the app doesn’t really allow you to edit what it turns out. All you can do is click again and hope that eventually it will randomly set all the things the way you like it. You have no idea how frustrating it is to sit there for 15-30min waiting for the right combination of bigger/smaller fonts, underlines, art, etc. only to realize when it did finally get it right, the app actually also included a border around the whole thing. Thus the app becomes VERY aggravating. There’s been moments where I’ve totally yelled at the screen lol If there could be a few things that’d allow the user the ability to modify what is on the screen that would amazing. Also when moving text boxes around it’d be nice if they’d actually remain stationary, and then allow us the ability to rotate them. Also also, if they could click into place with stuff kinda like the Adobe collage app... this app would be off the hook..Version: 2.0.3

With the free on they would add a small watermark to the bottom of your image, ok fine. Well now the watermark appears the same when working in the app, but when you save the final product, the watermark is 4x the size it appears on the screen, often covering text and images making the final image UNUSABLE. If you want to charge, do it, but switching out the watermark and hiding it - only showing it a accurately on the final image is deceptive and rude, are you certainly won’t get any of my money after stunts like that, especially when there are HUNDREDS of other apps that do the same thing for free!.Version: 2.3.9
✓ Good, if you don’t mind the logo.I enjoy this app and respect there’s an upgraded version. But the logo block at the bottom is pretty big and obtrusive compared to other free versions. Reducing the size and removing the black background preferably. Personally I think if you put it in the bottom left corner with a white top and left side border would be much more stylish and unique, especially if you allow a matching box on the right side for the user name/artist/business where the background can be modified. Then you give the user the creative ability to be unique with your logo/name. Maybe you can choose corners or position. Actually, this sounds like a great idea. My thoughts to unlock..Version: 2.0.3

✓ REMOVED ACCESS TO PRO FEATURES I PAID FOR AFTER I UPGRADED iPHONE🤯😭I have been using & loving this app for 6+ years with 𝙕𝙀𝙍𝙊 complaints! 𝙐𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙇... this last time I upgraded my iPhone. Now all the “PRO” features I previously paid for no longer work. Way back when I first began using this app you could purchase any of the “PRO” editing features individually for a small, one time fee. After I initially bought them, the features always worked regardless of how the app itself changed, on all of my previous iPhones (I upgrade yearly). Now tools I’ve paid for won’t work & they put an ugly watermark on anything I save. Trying to make me pay AGAIN, for lifetime access to features I already purchased lifetime access to! My Apple ID is the same so it makes no sense. I still have my old phone with smashed screen & everything still works fine, just not on my new phone with same Apple ID?! I tried the “RESTORE” button a bunch of times but it hasn’t helped. I will gladly update to give 5 STARS if you developers can help me figure out this glitch! Thank you! 🙏🫶😊.Version: 2.5.6
