Atlantic fleetNot shore on this it's seems to end very quickly in the battle of the Atlantic mode as it only goes up to 1940 when it all ended in 1945 or my missing the settings on this.Version: 1.11

I really want to give a 5 star...This game is so good. It is undeniably one of the best naval sim I have ever seen on App Store. However, after hours of gameplay I find that the range finding system is almost useless and usually kills the fun and make me frustrated. The deviations of the range finding is simply ridiculous high even in extremely short distance. When playing as Germany, in most of the time you sunk all British warships in 5 minutes and spent 20 or more minutes on finishing off the merchant ships. This is just stupid. I can't recommend this game to no one if the game stays in this current state..Version: 1.11

Not bad, but could be so much betterRange finding is a joke. WWII naval gunnery was not guess-work, especially once a ship had the range. But in this game it is - from one hit to the next miss, you're purely guessing actual range. It would be so much more interesting if the devs built in an honest-to-goodness range finding sim that worked. Armor also seems to be poorly modeled. King George V class battleships had armor actual equal to, or by some analyses, superior to that of Bismark. Yet the damage incurred in this game seems disproportionate for these two classes of ships. I know it's a game, but it could be much closer to a true Sim with just a few tweaks. Better range finding and gunnery modifications, better hit damage and armor modeling would be what I'd want to see (been playing naval war aims since the early 1990s so this is my first for iOS). All that said, it's not without a strong fun factor!.Version: 1.11

Extremely accurate; well atleast the AI is….Don’t waste your time on this game. Pure lack of support and the targeting system is as accurate as trumps claim of election fraud. There are three things you are guaranteed in this life. Taxes, death, and an extremely accurate Ai that lands 95% of their shots as opposed to the 20% of yours. No matter how you adjust it will fly over or in front of the target each time. Be sure to take your aspirin because this game can trigger heart attacks from shock during the random times you actually land a shot. But don’t get excited; there is a 90% chance you will have your whole fleet sunk by a support ship before it takes enough of your shells to be sunk. Stay sane and stay away..Version: 1.11

The fire control system is so badPlease please please sort the fire control system out. When an Iowa class battleship was recommissioned the original fire control system was kept as is because it was that good and yet in this game you would be lucky to hit a small country with it. So disappointing in such an historically accurate game. Only 2 stars until this is fixed..Version: 1.11

Immensely Challenging and PenalizingIf you’re up for a seriously complicated, strategic, geometric game screwed over by randomness and first torpedo volley wins the match games, then this is the app for you. After hours of struggling to get through a couple of missions, the second the enemy had initiative they sunk my entire fleet in a cross fire of torpedo volleys. Once that happens you CANNOT recover as you have no left over renown to rebuild your fleet. This is a serious simulator where every ship purchase must be thought out, every round given at least 20min to play. If you’re looking for an arcade game, run the hell away..Version: 1.11

Potentially very good gameI’ve had this game for about a week now and although I’ve got around most of the controls there are still some that I have absolutely no idea how to use due to the total lack of tutorial. There should have been a few more tweaks made to this game before it was launched. My main gripe. If you have to swap apps mid battle and then go back, Atlantic Fleet has closed and you loose all progress in that particular battle and have to start all over again. Bearing in mind some scenarios take ages to complete, this is a real disadvantage. You do not seem to be able to exit a battle unless you are prompted to disengage or until all enemies are destroyed. This seems particularly a problem with subs that are slow and the ships you are stalking are slowly sailing into the sunset and you are unable to catch them up. Although I’ve worked out a little better at aiming, the endless salvoes that each side chuck at teach other and miss is a little bit boring and repetitive as the battles go on for ages. Subs are terrible. You need to get very close to uses torpedoes effectively but you end up an easy target. If you are too far away the ships just jink out of the way to avoid them and it is very difficult to catch up with any ship. I have had one or 2 crashes on my iPad 2, too, and I’ve rarely ever had problems with any apps before. There are other minor issues that some have mentioned that need to be addressed. Killerfish need to sort this game out.Version: 1.01

Damaged gameWhen you are in a battle and the enemy has taken damage they just run away and you have to start over. 15 times I have started over on the 4th level of campaign. FIFTEEN fix it!!!!!.Version: 1.01

A bit disappointingHas a lot of potential, but poor instructions and difficult. I completed pacific fleet and really liked it, better than this. It needs a tutorial mode (even for me who has completed pacific) and easier main mode. I also hate it that if you make a mistake in a single mission in campaign, eg lose a ship, its gone forever, you cant just replay that mission. Very frustrating as you then have to start entire campaign again to build up points to replace ships. If you scuttle to end early same effect, gone forever. This should be fixed..Version: 1.01

Fun-ish game but needs work!!!Moderately entertaining game but somewhat unrealistic and needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Plenty of scope for improvement. Issues: Luftwaffe bombers/stukas in the Irish Sea and Scapa Flow disregarding range and RAF air superiority. Small bombs from Swordfish and Stukas penetrating BBs armoured decks. BBs being sunk by two diver bomber runs 🤷‍♂️ Turrets seemly explode when not hit directly or barbette. BB turrets destroyed by cruiser fire other than point blank range. BB being citadelled by cruiser fire other than point blank range. Ships slow down when outer hull not compromised or citadel hits. BBs receiving citadel hits in 'invulnerability' zone >20k yds Questionable armour schemes. German belts over rated. Turtle back deck armour is not belt armour. Unrealistic gyroscopic angles on sub torpedoes. Unrealistic point blank torp hits on DD bows. German BBs comically resistant to torpedo hits. 6 full sized torp hits on sharn. Including stern with no damage to propulsion or steering 😂 12 aerial torp hits on Bismarck and I got bored and gave up 😂 Campaign is limited as u-boat dominated. Every 9/10 engagements is u-boats. Regardless of the ‘initiative’ cannot refuse engagement. Typical contact goes like this: U-boats materialise at point blank range and sinks allied CL, CA, BB. U-boat torps oncoming DD in the bow. Allied DD over U-boat for U-boat to suddenly 'withdraw from combat'. Epic defeat. Takes 4/5 sunken u-boats to replace every lost DD. Please sort this game out..Version: 1.11

I can’t even do campaign mode! Help!Ok, maybe I’m just bad with technology, but I only have 6,000 Renown (the in game currency to those reading). The least expensive ship is 45,000! I thought: Oh, maybe I had a submarine like in Pacific Fleet? Nope! I have to buy a 45,000 Renown ship with only 6,000 Renown and NO SHIP! How am I supposed to earn money without any means?! I tapped THE WHOLE FLIPPING SCREEN. There were 3 buttons. The button that brought up some sort of ship catalog of all of the ships I cannot afford, the button that relinquishes all ships under my command (wish I even had one), and the exit button to go to the previous screen. I was so fed up I just tapped every single pixel. Maybe there was an invisible button? I mean after tapping every single button, word, or hyperlink, tapping everything that’s not a button or word or hyperlink seems like a good idea. I’m fed up and maybe there’s a simple solution but for the life of me I can’t find it, there’s this little while circle in the middle of the screen for campaign but it doesn’t do crap!.Version: 1.11

Some glitchesTremendous graphics, even viewing hedgehogs and depth charges sinking, aircraft bombing runs, the lot. But a glitch somewhere keeps needing me to delete as it freezes around the end so Sept 1939..Version: 1.11

What a let down!!This game is top notch - when you are playing 2 player! Playing against the AI on the other hand, which the majority of the game modes is based around, is absolutely tragic. This is solely because of the rampant CPU cheating. It would easily be the game that does so more than any game I've played in 30 odd years, no exaggeration. I've had the game for nearly a year and have tried and tried to live with the ridiculous disparity but it's terrible. I keep it to play 2 player and that's pretty much it. Other than that it would be brilliant..Version: 1.11

Stick with lite versionImpossible to get past level 13-14 on full version. Your ships have around a 50% hit rate. Especially the larger heavy cruisers. Their big guns do you no good as they can't hit the broad side of a barn! Also. I've had multiple rounds end where I did. To lose the ship in battle yet when it was not available to me for the next round. Have had to start over numerous times because around level 14 I did not have ships large enough to compete. Even though I had not lost them in battle. Need an update to fix these issue before wasting money. If fixed,could be a great game!.Version: 1.11

Very good so far but with some flawsVery good game, very realistic gunfire. Issues so far are the Scharnhorst class seems to have become a lot better than they really were as far as belt armor and maneuverability go such as being able to turn 90 degrees in less than a ship length while at high speed and being able to reverse from 30 knots in one turn, kind of magical properties if you ask me. Also, launched strike aircraft suddenly disappear if their aircraft carrier is sunk, again, not realistic. Once in the air they still should be able to carry out their attacks. Hopefully, the developers will continue to refine the game..Version: 1.11

Disappointing in the ExtremeThere has not been a decent "gunnery-oriented" naval game since Great Naval Battles North Atlantic in the early 1990's. I'd hoped AF would come close, but it is sadly lacking by comparison. With GNBNA you really did feel like you were in the Main Director. AF is just too abstracted. Also, you can only select and fire one weapon system on your ship per turn - main turrets, secondary guns, or torpedoes. How unrealistic! EG in the River Plate scenario Graf Von Spee ought to be able to split fire to engage one cruiser with each of her main turrets and the third with her secondary armament, plus fire torpedoes ALL IN THE SAME TURN. But you cannot. Trying to use air strikes is as bad, and I never got the hang of how to attempt a campaign. Maybe this game gets five stars from "lite" gamers but for serious naval gamers it is a major disappointment. Don't waste your money. If I could have scored it at ZERO stars I would have..Version: 1.11

The game needs upgrade!To the team developers of this game, You do not realise the potential of the game you’re making, it could have been more fun if it was a online game!!! This is always one of my fav game but, unfortunately i had to stop playing it and make a move to WorldOfWarship Blitz!!!.Version: 1.11

Needs improvementNot bad but the AI is much better than user abilities. Ranging is way off and AI has much better accuracy than users. Some battle ships take a ton of shells to sink. 50+ hits. AI seems to have better maneuverability and their moves take them farther than user. The bombing and rockets from planes is a complete joke of course unless it is AI then it is deadly accurate. Submarines are a waste of time unless you are spawned close to your targets. Sub moves are very short compared to ships. If spawned too far away you will never get a good chance to launch torpedos. Torpedo range is also a joke unless AI. Almost every time torpedos get close to their target they disappear snd you wasted your torpedos. Also take way too long to reload torpedos. Most of the time the ships are out of range by the time your submarine reloads torpedoes. And it only reloads a couple at a time. The game is OK but after the first two or three missions it gets boring because nothing connects with its target..Version: 1.11

Balance?I get that the Germans are outnumbered and all that, but the disparity between their ships and contemporary Allied ships is huge. I have stuck 6 aerial torpedoes in a pocket battleship before it sank all while it pounded my carrier, and put two 21” torpedoes in an AMC and she still didn’t sink while I lose cruisers to just one torpedo. The British cruisers get curbstomped by the German ones even when I hit them more because the German ships, especially in turrets, play like they’re well armored whereas the British ones seem to be made out of cardboard. Another thing that is a really bad feature is the rangefinding. I have been hit badly first turn at 20,000 yards (long range!!) which essentially decided the battle before it began. Meanwhile, I have to either guess the range or follow the inconsistent at best guess the game gives me. Subs also spawn way too close, I’ve had battleships and carriers I spent half a year in BoA mode saving for torped by a sub that spawned close enough for the torpedoes to hit the same turn they were fired. Overall super biased towards the Germans when in reality the British ships are pretty equal, not to mention some really demoralizing gameplay at times..Version: 1.11

Bombs don’t driftWhen I was playing I couldn’t get a hit with the Lancaster because the bombs were drifting when it is impossible for bombs to drift but a fun game as well.Version: 1.11

No tutorialNot sure if it's just me but I can't seem to find the tutorial anywhere if I could 5 stars but not until I find it sorry :(.Version: 1.01

The submarine and carrier rules are just plain dumb.Let’s say that you just launched planes from an aircraft carrier. And then the carrier is sunk. What happens to all those planes? In real life they become “orphans”. They continue their attack. But not in this game. Those planes just disappear! It’s as if all the pilots got depressed, and ditched their planes into the sea. And carriers cannot multitask. If their planes are attacking an enemy ship, the carriers for some reason cannot make smoke or fire their guns. How dumb is that? Now about the submarines. For some reason, 90% of the time they are placed far behind the enemy ships. So they usually play no part in a scenario. Are the submarine captains all asleep? And one more thing. In real life ships that are hopelessly disabled would scuttle themselves. But not in this game. You are forced to hunt down and sink crippled ships. That’s tedious beyond belief. It’s a real shame. This game would be great otherwise..Version: 1.11

Standard iPhone is too smallI was recommended this game by a friend who says it was great. Shame as it's very difficult to see this game on a standard iPhone. iPhone Plus or an iPad would have big enough screens. I'm not saying it's unusable but you'd probably be squinting for extended periods of time trying to read the UI. I refunded it within 2mins because I couldn't see or interact with the UI. It should be listed as recommended iPhone Plus or iPad..Version: 1.11

Gunnery problemsGunnery gets worse as you purchase stronger ships. Completely inconsistent accuracy. AI will conistently have better starting positions (in new battles their subs always start within torpedo range of your strongest ship while yours start so far away they can’t catch up) and their torpedos seem to run twice as far per turn as yours, no matter which side you choose. When using aircraft AI has the option to send aircraft at a 90-degree angle ahead of your ships so torpedos always hit while you don’t have that option. A AI freighter will always shoot down your aircraft while and AI bomber can survive an entire fleet of warships. I like challenging games. This one is terrible. Do not buy..Version: 1.11

Hour+ missions with no suspendDon't get this on iPhone 6. Missions can last over an hour, and it doesn't save in-mission, meaning as soon as you use your phone for something else memory intensive, eg the camera, iOS shuts the app down and you lose 60 minutes' progress..Version: 1.11
