Terrible service!This has happened to me and to different members of my family, we place an order and wait after an hour it still has not arrived and the status on the app either says “preparing” or “arrived” after we ask for help we always get the same reply they say maybe check if it’s on your door but that’s literally not possible because we live in an apartment complex and the delivery guy can’t come in unless he rings the bell, plus we pay with cash. And today the same thing happened but we asked for help they said the order was taken back because we couldn’t reach you!!! I did not get any notification. The order status was still saying preparing and no one called or ringed the bell and they only canceled the order after I asked and after an hour of waiting!!!!!!!!!!! This app is terrible. Vary’s based on driver.The app is okay and the promotions are great saves me running to my local shop and I also get a discount however, although the majority of my delivery’s have been great twice I’ve had the issue where it has been delivered to the wrong house (I didn’t get a refund) and the second time I had to stand outside my house to wait for it and he still went the wrong way until I called him over, it amazes me how getir will hire delivery drivers that can’t even use a satnav. Aside from that experience has been fairly decent again however, one thing to note is there customer service is useless after contacting them about the delivery I waited on the chat for 2 hours and no one joined..Version: 2.11.5

Let down by customer service!I ordered a couple of items the other day, waited a while, and then the app prompted me that they were delivered. I didn’t receive the items, so I swiftly contacted customer service. Unfortunately their response was very underwhelming. They told me they couldn’t reach the driver via phone so the issue had to be raised to get sorted out. I received an email the following day saying that your items have been delivered and the case was closed. a couple of days later I called them to complain about the issue, but unfortunately no action was taken. My items seemed to have been delivered to the wrong address, and they have no way of verifying that. Such a flawed business model!.Version: 2.17.10

Cannot place orderI keep trying to place an order, and every time it shows the Getir logo spinning and times out and goes back to the checkout page. I have already updated the app and deleted it from my Home Screen but that didn’t help. A customer service rep said there’s nothing wrong with my account. Please fix this issue!! Stole from me twiceThe first time I ordered dominos I paid online then the driver said he could not find my house. After over an hour of going back and forth trying to give him directions the customer service assistant told me its my fault and did not offer any refund. I ordered dominos a few times after that without paying online and they always managed to find the house. The second time the driver stole a burger from my bag. When he delivered the bag to my door he kept his helmet on covering his face which seemed strange. When i opened my bags i was missing a burger even though the receipt on the bag clearly listed how many burgers should be inside. App is for Istanbul. Why in U.S. App Store?Why can I buy this app in U.S. when after installation it tells me it is for Istanbul. I’m in America!?!? This keeps happening that the App Store offers me apps from other countries and in languages I don’t speak. Why? Update to developer’s response: then you should sell the app only to folks in the cities you currently serve. You are losing customers with this bait and switch tactic. We customers are busy people and don’t like having our time wasted. Apple? Why am I being sold (free) apps to waste my time and junk up my iPhone when they don’t work in my area? Hit or miss. Mostly miss.I gave this app three chances… The first time the delivery person delivered my stuff to the wrong floor. The second time things were great. The third time I got a notification to order had been delivered and it was nowhere to be found — not in the lobby, checked all the floors to see if the first time mistake it happened again… (I texted with customer support, who said they would have the order re-delivered. An hour later I still haven’t gotten a new order or even an order confirmation so I called customer service and they didn’t have any record of that…) So, when things go as they’re supposed to it’s a great service. Stealing from people-“account credit” vs “promotion”If they screw up an order of yours, (forget an item that you paid for), they will apply that amount as a ‘promotion’ on your account despite them saying they will apply the “credit” to your account. This is unethical because what you’re actually owed because of their mistake can’t be used with an actual promotion…in turn, you are losing money. This is totally unacceptable, and essentially means that they are stealing from people but applying “account credit” because of a mistake their service made, as a “promotion” to go towards helping with the service fee/delivery fee. Was decent for about 3 daysWhen Getir first became available in my area it was a life saver, I’d just started my 10 days isolation as I had tested positive for covid 19 and getir was the only way I could get any shopping during the day time (due to family/friends being in work). However, after just a few days, I would try to make an order but would get a notification saying ‘high order volume, please try again later’ Anyway over 10 days later and trying to order at various times of the day I am still getting this message. If you can’t keep up with the demand hire more staff, it’s not hard, the app is practically useless now unless you get lucky and manage to place an order before 9:00AM, also I’m still waiting for a refund for missing items….Version: 2.7.6

HorribleHalf the time you order from here you’ll be put into a queue that’s hours long but they’ll still let you know while ordering that it’ll be 15 minutes to delivery which is a lie the other half of the time you order from here the order won’t show up at all and it’s impossible to reach anyone to get her because their auto bot is broken and they don’t care. False advertisingGetir lies about their offers to get you to download the app and spend more money than you thought you would. Before you add in your address and choose your items, they show all the good offers like £15 off a £16 spend or £15 off a £20 spend. As soon as you sign up, add in your address, choose your items and checkout, these offers disappear! Then you’re left with £15 off a £35 spend or £10 off a £40 spend. Absolute cheats. They just show the good offers first and then when youre ready to checkout get you to spend more money. Not worth it as theres not enough of a selection of items either. Terrible experience: smashed produce and disability discriminationBottles arrived broken due to poor packaging, which leaked and dropped broken glass all over my floor, which was very difficult for me to pick up due to limited movement in my back. Tried to contact customer services three times but each time got disconnected because I wasn’t able to type a response within fifteen seconds. On the fourth attempt, was told that I’d be given a £10 discount off a future order - I don’t need to say that a discount from a future order, especially one that needs to be twice the value of the discount, is not acceptable compensation for failure on a previous one. When, and only when, I said I’d b going to trading standards, they have me an email address to send my complaint to. When I told them that they already had all the details of my complaint and that it would be extremely difficult and time consuming for me - precisely because of my disability - to type it out again, they simply sent me the email address again. It has taken more than an hour to type their review. This company’s customer service is disgraceful - once again, a discount on a future order is not compensation for failures (smashed bottles! damaged floors!) on a previous one. And that’s leaving aside the disability aspect - disabled people are more likely to be affected by their carelessness in the first place, then, through the bias of their systems, find they have no way to complain. Really AwfulThey started off strong here in Chicago, offered a bunch of promos and stuck to their delivery times. I assume they did the same in most places in order to get a bunch of good reviews. Heck, I even gave a positive review initially and even referred friends. But anymore they are REALLY awful. Stick to GoPuff for sure. I’ve been waiting over an hour and my order is still processing and hasn’t even started the delivery phase. The ETA reads 13 mins. Customer service gave me a 5 dollar coupon for waiting. Fast, maybe too fastI have used them twice. The first time was perfect, I received all of my items in 5 minutes! The app said the driver had not even left but then the deliver arrived. 30 minutes later the app said the driver was there. The app needs some work and is still buggy. They missed two of my items and it was very difficult to contact customer service. They were very vague about my refund (which I still haven’t received) and don’t feel confident that anything is going to happen..Version: 2.11.4

App won’t complete orderTried to use the app to make a purchase but kept getting the error message “your basket is a bit heavy for our couriers. Could you lighten the load?” Happy to do so! But there was never a message in the UI previously about any sort of % capacity threshold I was reaching with each item I was adding to my cart. And it’s an insanely bad UI to couple that omission with encouragement at each step to hit a spend threshold for free delivery. Why the contradictions? What is frustrating is I was given no information about what was causing the issue. I kept removing items one by one and still, every time I tried to proceed, the same error message came up. Not in minutes!!This is the first time I’ve been disappointed in one of these fast grocery delivery services. Like many other similar services, it gives you an estimated delivery time on the main screen. However, upon placing an order, you get a notification that there are no drivers available, and you are placed in a queue, which says your order will dispatch in 15-20 minutes. 40 minutes later and your order still isn’t on the way… you’ve lost motivation to cook… and it’s too late to order delivery. Extremely unreliable app, I’m dissapointed.I’ve been a loyal Getir customer for the past year. I used to love the service and speed of delivery. A few months ago, I placed an order and it never arrived so I contacted customer service and they offered me a refund or credit. Since I use the service so much, I decided to take the credit. First of all, the credit only applies to the items you order, not on any service or delivery fees which is ridiculous considering if I wanted to order that same order, I would be paying extra on top of the credit for additional fees. Second of all, ever since I received the credit, every time I attempt to place an order (no matter what time of day), I get a message that says “Due to high demand in our stores, we’re currently unable to take your order. Please try again”. I would be more understanding if this happened once in a while, but it is every single time I try to order – mind you, I also live about a 5 minute walk from one of the Getir distribution locations so there is no reason for it to be out of service area. If there are no employees working, then don’t display “delivery in 9 minutes” on my Home Screen. I’ve been very disappointed with this company and I’ve lost 54 dollars..Version: 2.16.5

Appalling Customer ServiceJust had an issue with an order being cancelled and had to phone customer service. We explained to them that we were never called by their team and according to our tracking data the driver had only been waiting 2 minutes anyway (we live on the 8th floor in student accom) We were very rudely told that they had in fact called 3 times but we had no incoming calls at the time on our phone. They refused to take on any of our concerns and frustrations seriously, repeatedly talking over my partner saying ‘okay, okay, okay, thank you for your feedback’ in a very passive aggressive tone and then hung up. If you’re going to have an app with dodgy tracking and calls that don’t actually go through, maybe having a decent customer service team might be in your best interest..Version: 2.10.4

Disappointed!I have been using the app since early days and I was happy with the low delivery fees and always the promotion deals which was different from other delivery companies. But recently it is not good as used to be or compared to delivery competitors, you have to spend nearly £20 to get free delivery and the costumer service is not great. I had a order which was sent me wrong items and the costumer service offered me a £15 voucher for my next buy but it was not really credits in my account as I was only allowed to use the voucher if I spent at least £10 on top of the £15 discount, from my £20,54 basket I was no allowed to use my £15 credit discount which with Deliveroo, just eat and Uber eats it basically automatically discounts and you pay the balance left. Use to be fast and convenientI was a big fan of the app when it first came out, groceries in minutes, great promotions, fast agile development, helpful and friendly customer service. Discount one star from my past pleasant experience. I fear that the app and company has now past that era. Over the past months, I’ve had numerous negative experiences. Average delivery times (for groceries) have been around 30 minutes, with my order ending up in a queue 4 out of 5 times. Once an order took over 80 minutes to arrive (the estimate was 25 minutes), and customer service was absolutely unhelpful, once even hanging up on the conversation. The focus of the company feels to have shifted from offering value to customers to growth, not feeling like the friendly local startup it once used to be, disrupting status quo and creating true value. Now it feels like just any other product ordering app, you can frequently have flowers, water, food and market supplies delivered from different apps around the same time as groceries in Getir. There are, though, some times, if you are lucky and ordering at a time no one else is, when you can still get groceries in minutes. App is ok, service is…hmmApp is ok, but each time I have ordered it has taken more than the eta it gives. Usually 30-40 minutes which is still very good, but why provide a counter that never works? Alcohol disappears at some hours with not explanation- should show a message saying “we are not allowed to sell at this time” rather than thinking it’s broken because I click alcohol and just get tobacco. Maybe put your timer here? “You have 30 minutes left to order your beer”. Finally, I would say that the delivery is ok, but I made the mistake of ordering eggs 4 from 6 were broken on arrival and they are covered everything in my bag. Stole my MoneyI actually used to like this app a lot but they started messing up my orders and drivers would have to go back to the storage after even dropping off at my home. So getting a delivery was hours of waiting and uncertainty of when arrival would be. NEXT - my most recent order and the one that now has turned me off from the app is I ordered a good amount of stuff and the delivery driver kept coming to my home and then leaving cause he forgot stuff (per usual) and then once he droppped off finally it took me a couple hours but I realized a bunch of items were still missing so I contacted getir on there chat line and no one was responding I sat there for awhile and couldn’t get connected to a real person. So I figured they were closed for the night? I guess they found a agent the next day maybe and they tried to contact me but I obviously wasn’t in the live chat log anymore so by the time I was able to contact them again they said it had been 24 hours since the order was placed and I couldn’t receive money back for the items that weren’t delivered. Absolute Garbage ExperienceOne opened about 5 doors down from us, so we thought to support local, we’d try it out for fun. We ordered $20 worth of groceries, we tipped $5, mind you were taking maybe 200 feet away from us. The driver shows up and berates my wife saying how dare we not tip him and that he only works for tips and that we need to be better people. She explained that we did tip him and he stormed off anyways. We called Getir to make sure he received his tip and he indeed did. On top of that, I get advertised on every platform I visit to sign up for Getir. It got so aggressive that I’ve started reporting the ads every time I see them. I now get them more than every and the only add I see is their logo and an extremely annoying clicking sound. It honestly feels like I’m being punished for trying to stop seeing their ads. WATCH OUT FOR SERVICE FEESThis company has gone completely downhill. Used to be so quick and easy and awesome, with reasonable pricing. Now everything is so expensive and the service fees are more expensive than what you order!!! They say free shipping over $50, you have $65 worth of stuff in your cart, so free shipping but all of a sudden they add a service fee thags the same amount as the shipping would have been so basically you’re adding more and more to your cart to get free shipping but wind up paying for it anyway. They now have a “service fee AND small order fee” so you get double charged!!! Watch out!!! This company is so scammy now. So disappointing, I feel sorry for their drivers because they’re going to lose out on tips because people cannot afford all the fees plus a decent tip. BIG SCAM!! DON’T DELIVER!!! DON’T REFUND!!!This service was passing out discount codes in my neighborhood. I thought I would give them another try. BIG MISTAKE! I placed an order that was not delivered completely. I tried to contact them, no one entered the chat. I tried again the next day, no one entered the chat. I tried again, no one entered the chat after 45 minutes I gave up. Finally, the fourth time someone entered the chat only to tell me that nothing could be done. Why? Because, the refund window was closed. So, if you order, just know you will get zero response from customer service until after the refund period closes and will therefore have no ability to have your money returned for the items you do not receive. They will also refuse to complete the delivery with the missing items. You will simply be out the money you paid for things you didn’t receive. I suggest you never order anything from this service. False advertisingGetir used to be good, but now it lures you in with promises of apparent live ETA of 12 minutes.. but AFTER you order and pay, you then have to wait ONE HOUR for a courier! The “live chat” support (possibly bots) just say the estimate is only once your delivery is on the way - surely this should be stated before ordering and paying in the knowledge that a courier takes an hour before making their way to deliver?! False advertising bordering on SCAM If it says 12 minutes ETA don’t be fooled into thinking it will take 12 minutes - AFTER you place an order and pay for it, you’ll be placed in a que for at least an hour to wait for a courier.. then it’s stuck on 12 minutes for about 30 minutes! Customer serviceReally disappointed in the customer service team. No lack of compassion. Was on my 19th order when they decided to close my account. Reason for it was understandable as I used my card on two accounts . One which was for my very elderly mother In law who doesn’t like using online banking nor knows how. And for my mum aswell. I understand the reason for our accounts to get banned but lack of support, as I’ve ordered so many times before and they decided to close my account after being with the company since the very beginning.(over a year ago) then they decide to close my accounts couple months after using my card on other accounts. Didn’t realise until recently why it got closed, as they didn’t take action straight away so I thought it okay to go ahead and use my cards for them. Three consecutive drivers didn’t read the instructions...And there’s no way to communicate with them, so I couldn’t tell them what to do! Was self-isolating and was told by my student hall that I couldn’t leave my room, and that drivers needed to hand the groceries to reception and reception would deliver it to me. Said this CLEARLY in the instructions (“Please press button outside door and hand to reception - self-isolating!”), and yet from my window I saw three consecutive drivers just standing outside of the door of the student hall making no effort to press the button for reception, and after a minute or two cancelling the order and leaving. I spoke to the chat but it seemed like a bot and they could not connect me to the driver. It was infuriating watching this happen so many times. Can they not see the instructions??? I even called reception the third time and tried to get the reception guy to chase the driver down as he was leaving, but he couldn’t catch up to him on his scooter. Eventually gave up and used Deliveroo to order my groceries instead - they got it right on the first try. All in all this wasted at least 2 hours of my life..Version: 2.6.17

I wouldn’t recommend. Que is always full!When I first downloaded the app it worked this was 2 months ago. I could order once a week only as the app always had problems. 1 month ago it stopped working and no matter what time it is the Que is always full and I haven’t been able to place an order for a long time. I’ve uninstalled the app now but I thought I’d warn off a lot of other customers as customer service always say to me when I ring up “ they will send a report off too IT or something” but I NEVER hear back from Getir and another customer service agent told me it may be a glitch of some sort but this was 4 weeks ago back in early April we are in May now. So if your app stops working don’t bother with Getir and uninstall as the agents won’t help you and they themselves can’t even tell you why it doesn’t work! Foods okThis is a great alternative to groceries if you are busy running around and dont have time to go shopping. I will say the food is definitely not top notch quality. Perhaps it was just my experience but select things i would not buy again ie the sweet potatoes were the size of my head, definitely GMO’d. my head of broccoli was frostbitten, id imagine it was just hanging out at some warehouse for a while.. bananas seemed old as well. Do not recommend at allFirstly, the promotions are a scam as they exclude cigarettes, alcohol, infant formula and medicines - not only the discount does not apply to these items, but they also do not count towards the total amount in your basket (e. g. if you have a £6 bottle of wine in your basket, you need to add an additional £15 of eligible items to trigger the promotion). You also “do not get £15 off your first order” - you can get a maximum discount of £15 provided that you spend at least £15 in the first place (again, only counting eligible items!). So you end up saving 3 or 4 pounds at best on unreasonably large orders. Secondly, the selection of available items is extremely restricted and most of them are either constantly sold out or unreasonably expensive. Given all these limitations, the only advantage that this app provides over more established alternatives like Asda or Sainsbury is the fast delivery time - which is often not guaranteed as often they do not have couriers available and the waiting list is very long! I do not genuinely see this app having a future after users exhaust the initial wave of promotion..Version: 2.7.4

Problematic AppI spent an hour to work out their app with cryptic errors and admitted defeat at the end. When I try to check out the app throws an “Unknown Error” (very helpful description developers, thanks!) then gets back to the cart screen. My theory is: when I tried creating an account first, I realized I typed the last digit of my phone number incorrectly, but there was no way to go back and edit it (the phone number is grayed out, but why???), so I had to to recreate an account with the correct number and activate it (could not activate it the wrong number of course). I suspect your device ID is checked against phone numbers registered for that device ID, and if there are multiple accounts you are banned. This is just my guess. I called customer support and they had no clue. I was told to send an email to some email address so technical support may help. Well thanks, I deleted the app, ordered my stuff from somewhere else and got them delivered in half an hour instead if 10 minutes. I am ok with that :) Overall, good idea, but poor execution of the app and lack of quick technical support..Version: 2.12.0

Waste of time and poor support 😡There was a 50% off offer that was actively being promoted to me in the app. I add items to my basket, making sure they’re eligible within the t&cs. But when I get to checkout, I can’t select the offer. So I contact support… 3 seperate times. All very unhelpful - just pasting generic responses into the chat. I even send them screenshots of my basket, to see if they can identify any products that aren’t eligible or any other issues. After wasting 30 mins, with 3 seperate support team all being unhelpful, I sent an email to their complaints team. Only to get the same generic response that the webchat was giving. So frustrating and such poor customer service. Next time, maybe try to help actually help your customers redeem an offer that you’re promoting, on an app that you developed 😡😡.Version: 2.15.6

Don’t even try to get refund from themThe app and idea are nice. However, don’t even try to contact their customer service department. During order a milk spilled in the bag, and ruined all the products. One of the agents told me that the full refund was issued. 2 weeks passed by, I contacted them again, the second agent told me that the refund was only for the milk and the coupon I used canceled out the milk price. In the result they refunded me nothing. When I asked the second agent to pull up and check conversation with the first agent, he kept replying to the privacy policy. I said aight, then what’s the amount you guys refunded me to which he replied the same way that due to privacy policy they can’t share that information. THEY CANT SHARE THE AMOUNT THEY REFUNDED ME, WHICH WASNT REFUNDED?!!! I wished their customer service was better, would’ve continued using the app.Version: 2.15.4

Getir app is available in Canadian app store , but it does not work anymore and gives me server connection error. The website also does not open and gives me 403 error. AvoidAbsolutely awful! They had sent me chicken that had turned colour and made the whole house smell, once I asked them to come collect it they said no it’s fine just send pictures. I ordered again and they sent me an order that had missing items and wrong cigarettes , once again I submitted pictures! I had to wait hours to receive the right cigarettes which I had to swap and missing items were refunded as credit . I just tried to make an order now and they told me that my account is under review due to their errors and faults ! I can’t even spend the credit which is on my account ! Terrible ServiceAfter SEVERAL problematic orders, I’ve closed my account. The number of times deliveries arrived wrong, late, crushed/broken, or never arrived at all is too numerous to count. On my final experience, the whole order showed up SO LATE. When it finally arrived, the olives were in broken packaging leaking oil all over the entire delivery’s items - yet SOMEHOW, the delivery bag still smelled like cigarette smoke from what I can only assume was the delivery driver’s long (or multiple) smoke break along the delivery route. The (so called) customer service line did nothing to rectify the situation. Whether you’re in Turkey or any other country they expand to, do yourself a favor & choose another delivery service!.Version: 2.13.1

DisappointedAlmost a month ago I put an order through getir and then it was cancelled because the driver couldn’t reach me, and then they said it will be refunded in the next few days but nothing so far I got in touch with their customer service team at least 5/6 times and they just kept telling me the same thing like they are reading from a script. My refund has been made as it shows on their side but nothing is shown on my bank account at all only the money coming out of my account. I emailed them as well but they don’t have the decency to reply back to me. Good service but glitchy appUpdate: I sent an email but it’s been 5 days with no response. I still keep getting notifications for promos that don’t exist. Updating to 1 star for the poor customer service/lack of change I really enjoy using Getir and think it’s a great company, however, the app is incredibly glitchy and customer service is not helpful. The app will send me a push notification for a promo, I’ll click on it within a few minutes of receiving it, and the promo is not in the app anymore. I’ve contacted getir support for this issue and they were absolutely no help. Constant problemsLiterally the most buggy delivery app ever. A month ago it stopped allowing me to order food via getir (constantly says “all couriers are out for delivery. try again in a few minutes”). Great Service but bad GDPR?I have used getir for a few weeks now and am really happy with the service. Great food, super quick. However, twice now my sister and I have been called out of the blue whilst waiting for our orders, by mistaken drivers for different deliveries. Both times they read out the address of someone else waiting for their order, saying they couldn’t get into the building. They then ask for our address, to try and confirm. It has been a stressful experience both times, with once being a mistake, and twice being a bit of a concerning pattern. Delivery drivers should only be given the contact details of those they are delivering to, and definitely shouldn’t be sharing the addresses of others or demanding private information over the phone..Version: 2.8.1

Waste of timeA pin drops in what you assume is your location but doesn’t seem to matter as you are then asked to confirm your address by typing it in, which I did. The outsourced and scripted customer service team called to say the driver was there but couldn’t find the house number. I asked twice for them to confirm the postcode but they couldn’t, instead they repeatedly asked ME for the postcode. It transpired the pin dropped on a road with the same name as mine but half an hour away…so they don’t look at the address you enter and nor does it amend the map pin (which you can’t go back and check). And half an hour was too far for the driver to come so they cancelled the order and I’m yet to see if the promised refund arrives. I used them because I was ill and couldn’t get out, but the whole thing was annoying quite stressful. Oh, and you won’t get £15 off your first order..Version: 2.16.7

Terrible customer service and broken appWorst customer service I have experienced with a food ordering app. Several times they ended the chat with me mid conversation because they had to ‘help other customers who were waiting. Meanwhile for 2 months I have trying to order and every time a notification says the payment could not be made. Several times this was after spending a long time putting together my order. There responses are just scripted responses saying they are looking into the issue without even asking what the issue is. Every time when I explain the issue they just say they are looking into and to try again soon. For 2 months! They provided 0 assistance. "Basket too heavy"I tried to order from Getir in Chicago. I went through all the steps, put in my credit card info, delivery, etc. Got to the final payment screen where it seemed to be processing until I got an error message telling me that my order was too big and to reduce the size for the safety of the delivery people. OK, that's fine, I'll just remove some stuff. Went through the closeout process again, credit card processing, annnnd same error message. I reduced the size of my order to no avail four times before I gave up. I'm sure it's a great service but I'm not going to spend all afternoon guessing the weight limit for my order. Maybe tell the user how much weight they need to remove? Or indicate that the order is too heavy before they've gone through the entire checkout process?? Or something????.Version: 2.11.5

AS OF APRIL 2023 THIS APP IS A SCAMI’m so sad about this. I have raved to tons of people about how much I love this app and now I have to warn people. The delivery time used to average about 8 minutes which was INSANE. On bad days (which were rare) it would be 15-20 minutes. I used to time it to brag to people about how fast it was. However, they recently combined with the Gorillas app and the delivery times have gone up to a minimum of 40 minutes, with some taking over an hour and a half. The kicker is the app will still tell you that it’s a 10-15 minute wait, and it will even show you on the tracker that a driver is on the way, but THIS IS A LIE. Customer service makes up a different reason each time it’s late, and you can not get a refund. Also, there is no indication on the app that Getir has been merged with Gorillas. My roommates and I were probably their most loyal customers. With all of us combined Getir was making an average of 6 trips to our apartment a week. We’re so sad that a genuinely legitimate and useful business has now become a scam :(.Version: 2.17.1

Terrible appHave tried using it multiple times, and it doesn’t work. It won’t let me input my bank details. I tried deleting and installing the app, and now it won’t let me log in - but also won’t let me register a new account. I have tried to use it multiple times over the last few weeks, and have faced the same issues every time, even when I update, close and reopen the app, and reinstall it. You have to register your number, email, etc before you can even use the app, and once they have your card and personal details, they stop letting you use the app. This is clearly not a real app - just a way to phish for your details. The TRUTH about GetirAvoid using Getir unless absolutely Necessary. The truth about how they’re able to make money despite offering so many people £15 off is they sell people expired food. Expired meat being number one. I have bought chicken and beef multiple times and they have been off the second they arrived to my door. They smelt horrible and the beef was even discoloured. It was disgusting. I even know a few people who had the same issue too. They get away with it because they don’t sell cigarettes or alcohol under the promotion as they don’t expire. Food like pasta and rice are easy to give away for free but expensive meat and other foods are repackaged when expired and given out making it seem like you’re getting a bargain but really you’re getting week old expired food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU LITERALLY HAVE ZERO FOOD. You’re better of shopping at Lidl..Version: 2.11.1

Customer service is the worst!I’ve had getir for a while, since lockdown. And their customer service is REALLY bad it’s happened multiple times now so it’s only fair to leave a review. At one point they had these really small that they would force things into, my bag will be overflowing and small items would be missing. My reaction was they fell out the bag at some point, let me just let them know. Their customer service tells you they are sending someone back to your house to check! Check what? If it’s been dropped it definitely isn’t there anymore. Instead of resending out the item. And then its ghost silence! After the driver comes back to check which he never does! There is no more communication and the option to reopen a live chat on the app disappears. I had to find contact details and email them two weeks later! And they still said they will send the courier 😅 it had to be a joke..Version: 2.11.5

The worst support everI downloaded the app in the UK and ordered from it once. Now, being in Istanbul, I have used it to place several deliveries of both food and groceries over the past few days. Every single order contains some wrong or missing items. To make things worse, Getir staff are totally unprofessional and unhelpful. They just end chats when they openly don’t want to waste their time. I have received no refunds yet. The items have to be returned before they process them, which is totally fine, but they don’t tell you when the courier will come - and in one case they demand that I RETURN THE WRONG ITEM TO THE STORE FOR REFUND. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read it. Contacted support twice, and both times they were absolutely unwilling to engage. Bottomline, of you don’t mind wasting money on items you will not receive and then wasting your time as well on dealing with these scammers, go ahead and download the app. The reviews must come cheap in Turkey, since every horrible venue here has close to 5 stars. Took my money twice without deliveryI ordered several times with Getir as a foreigner in Istanbul. Two times, my food was not delivered by the driver to my address and a refund was never given. When I contacted support, they said they couldn’t issue a refund as well. Absolutely shocked by how poor the customer service and service quality compared to other food delivery apps.
