✓ Latest Update Ruined What Was Once A Fun GameI have been playing this game for quite a few months now, and really enjoyed it. Collecting characters, powering them up, etc. But this new update they just pushed completely ruined everything about the game. What was once a difficult but fun game to progress in has now turned into a bloated pay-to-play mess. The incentive of slowly gathering resources to power up is practically gone now, and are locked behind extremely overpriced costs. They added a ridiculous number of new resources and currencies, and complicated the game to such extreme levels that I can barely even figure it out anymore. I can’t IMAGINE how horrible it would be for a new player. Not to mention there are inconsistencies all over the place. There’s so many resources that they swap around which ones you see for each different menu screen you’re on, and on top of that they shuffle the order of them constantly too. It’s a hot mess. What was once a game I constantly had open every day on my phone, has now turned into one that I don’t even have an interest in opening. Guess I should cancel my monthly subscription pass, since it’s useless now. ✓ Good but to many ads and glitchesI like this game BUT they are way to many ads when you are tryna play there is always an add I think the people who made this should fix there problem because I am really close to deleting the game! ✓ Prices are too highI love the game, I really do! BUT! You have to either grind or spend too much money to get characters, at this point, it’s gotten my almost no where to get the character I want (Vision Quest Mikey to be specific) it takes months and months of work to do this so all I ask of you is either lower the prices instead of having it become 70 dollars for a card pack , or have more challenges to get characters easier, if you lower the prices to 20 dollars or lower, I’m sure you guys would still make money, but I’m not paying 70 dollars to get a character that I didn’t ask for. ✓ Good, but greedyAt first I really enjoyed the game, I like the idea of having to earn the characters, but as the game advanced it became very apparent that in order to move forward at a pace that would not bore you to death you had to spend ridiculous amounts of cash. Let’s be honest, ninja turtles have a very young audience, so how do they expect a 10 year old to pay £65 for a card pack?? It’s insane. People will spend that money though, this is why the gaming industries is in the pay to win state it is currently in. ✓ Add new or rework charactersAlthough this game fun but the thing is it doesn’t get a update no new characters(I know they have all the characters but what about reworking some of them as half of them are trash and another problem is getting characters to rank up a star to get a character to 5 gold stars it takes 5-6 months just to do 1 character as a F2P and I don’t know why every time I have this game my phone gets overheated so I have to delete it now that was the bad parts here are the goods. ✓ Great game but unfair shop costsI was a fan of turtles growing up in the 1980’s and caught all seasons of the original turtles debut in 1987. My young kids have been a fan of the recent 5 seasons of TMNT. We enjoy the game but the prices at the shop are absurd! I’ve spent about $40 between my kids and got close to nothing. Never again will I spend any more money unless the prices are slashed significantly. I think it would have worked better to charge a small fee to buy the game, while charging half the current shop’s costs. Take Dragon Ball Legends for comparison, it takes roughly a month to compete at end game and notice how many more YouTubers it has compared to this game. Most videos for Turtles Legends are from 1-2 years ago. Content creators can get the word out, yielding greater downloads..Version: 1.11.39

✓ Tournament Crashing will stunt progressI reviewed this game and somehow my review disappeared. Keeping it short. This is a decent game. Nowhere near on par with other turn based squad battle games, but still enjoyable. Recently over the last month many including myself have experienced crashing and mostly during tournament. This is how we get the majority of materials that build characters. But the constant crashing causes progress loss and even some tokens that are used to revive characters. So right now this game is pretty much bricked until they fix it. It’s been over a year since their last update. I cancelled my membership due to the constant crashing. Maybe the developers are trying to kill their support for this game and this is their way to do it. If enough of the user base have cancelled subscriptions, then the game isn’t making enough money to justify continued support. And they can easily abandon the game. Taking with it all the money anyone invested in packs or energy or what have you. They know about the crashing because it has been reported. They suggest that you close down other apps, etc. Nothing they recommend works. This game is unofficially Dead..Version: 1.15.4
✓ Great game, OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE In-app purchases!So being a TMNT fan for years, too many to count I was excited when my nephew showed me the game. It has a great list of characters and the themes are great. But what blew me away is that there are card packs or upgrades that cost upwards of $60. We are talking about a game here. Obviously if you don’t pay the fee the game is harder and takes longer to get power-ups. Understandable but guessing they would get more people to buy if they lowered the costs. Allow easier power ups without paying, I would rather see ads, and that tough to say. ✓ Way too hard / adverts at times don’t rewardThis game used to be easier to level up, but it would be pretty much impossible to get all your characters to max without buying a subscription and other in app purchases. Without spending any money it would probably take 50+ years of daily grinding. How monotonous. Also you can watch several adverts for 30s each and you don’t get rewarded. ✓ Crashing All the timeLike the game but for the last few weeks the game keeps crashing when I’m in the middle of a battle. The game completely closes down and goes back to my main iPhone screen. Also I pay for the monthly membership but the page where I can collect my rewards logs out all the time. When this happens I don’t get the double T-coins because the reward page shows I have to log-in. I have to wait several minutes for it to log in again. ✓ Absolute garbageThis game is constantly crashing, freezing, or just flat out not work. You’ll get to a certain point in a level, the game will freeze and then immediately close itself. Then when you go back into the game, the resources you used for that level are gone and if you don’t have enough to fight again you have to just wait. Also, when Ludia loads new content on to the game it often times doesn’t work and you can’t even select the content. Lastly I logged on one day and my entire account was wiped clean. The game just decided to delete everything and start me from scratch all over again. I had to email Ludia (this is the third time) to reload my account. ✓ Do not waist your time on thisI have played it for 6 months. At the beginning, it was really fun and the difficulty of the game was reasonable. After chapter 4, I totally lost my interest and feel frustrated about the game. It's so hard to get the pieces for the characters that you want. Then, it's even harder to get them level up. All games including chapter missions and other weekly missions gets harder and harder. They are money hungry. I mean, you have to spend a couple of hundred or even $1,000, otherwise you cannot do anything other than play the same chapter over and over again. I used my golds to buy characters. You even cannot choose the ones you want with your money!!! Only bad characters came. So disappointed that they used my favorite cartoon and made such a bad game. It could be much better... ✓ Spendy turn based RPGThe graphics and character detail are all very nicely designed, but they should be for how much getting new characters cost. If you enjoy turn based strategy and don’t mind spending $50-$100 every now and then for new characters give this game a shot. I personally quit putting money into gaming apps after spending about $600 on various games. If you are free to play like me you will get very frustrated once you hit the level 30 character wall with 90% of your characters. When using resources the prices for small amounts of specific character upgrading material are horrendously expensive, so it takes months to keep progressing. You end up using all your stuff to upgrade characters you don’t even like, because to progress you have to keep upgrading. I don’t mind grinding it out as a free to play person, but when you don’t have a chance at the actual decent versions of the turtles (This game is called turtles, right???) without throwing paychecks away it starts to get boring..Version: 1.11.39

✓ Very cynical pay-to-win featuresAn enjoyable and addictive game rendered frustrating and unfair by completely unrealistic pay to win / in app purchases. Would rather pay one full price to unlock all features for a better game than constantly be tricked and goaded into spending a pointless fortune to get the upper hand and progress. A disappointing approach considering how many children will play this too. The adverts for £65 card packs is utterly ridiculous and a bit evil. The free trial only highlights how this game is only out for your money. Such a shame. It’s all geared to hurting your pocket and would be amazing if it didn’t exist purely to harvest profit. ✓ Not a fair fightGreat game and very addictive. What I don’t like is in a lot of the levels and even in tournament play your characters get less turns then your opponents. Most of the time only one of my characters do a move, then the opponent gets 4 turns. Then comes back to me for ONE single turn, then back to the opponent for 3 or 4 more. Then when you are down to like 2-2, the opponents character will get 2 turns before yours gets one. Not exactly a fair fight if you ask me. Today I had one guy left who was a 37 and had over half his life left, the opponent had 2 guys with less then half each. I should have easily beat him but my character wasn’t allowed a turn instead the opponents 2 remaining guys had 2 turns each, then mine had 1, then his had 2 more. ✓ Ridiculous pricesThe game itself is grindy and somewhat frustrating at times since progression is so slow. But the prices of the character packs for random chance to get characters, it is disgusting to see. $100 packs popping up as a “suggestion”? The more you try to shove excessively expensive care packs in my face like you’re begging for money the less I’m inclined to even consider it. I already have massive issues with spending money on any apps since once developers abandon the app eventually the iOS will update to the point it no longer works and all that money is gone unlike a computer or console. But having such expensive packs shoved in the face of nostalgic fans of TMNT or children who are still learning the value of money, that’s not ok. Having them as an option is fine, plenty of apps have options that get quite expensive but at least are presented as an option and not “BUY NOW!!!!!”.Version: 1.12.4

✓ Fun initially, then a grindfest/pay-to-playFirst off, I’m an 80’s kid and I grew up with and love TMNT. I like that they have the characters from the 80’s in this. I found the game fun initially, but by level 20, it becomes the worst-ever grind-fest. Basically, past level 20, you either have to pay to play, or don’t bother wasting your time, because you will be forced to waste a lot to level up. I even did the free week trial too see what advantages it gave, never intending anyway to pay $10 a month for a video game, and the benefits were very slim. Considering that this game hasn’t seen an update in a year, and still hasn’t been updated to support the iPhone X/XS screens, I wouldn’t waste a penny into this game. Clearly they don’t intend to continue to support this game in the future. I don’t know who would throw away money into the card packs or monthly subscription. This game gets you to the final battle in act 2 and then you won’t beat the boss till level 12 even tho he’s level 8 and even then it’s still chance. Unfair RNG. You attack once they attack up to 5 times. It’s rigged and after you win it asks for a subscription fee of 9.99$ a month and still after that you need to get better character which will cost upward to 60-90 bucks (for that you can buy a wii system and Mario kart new). EAs Star Wars has fair RNG I’m level 80 and never spent a dime. It’s simply an option to move faster. Along with many other it’s an option. This is play 5 minutes give us 5$ for 5 more minutes.
