✓ Thank you, thank you, but.....I take multiple shots of the same scene making minor changes between each shot. I HATE the fact that I can’t see the image label below the image so I can differentiate between images. Apple’s squeaky clean approach to displaying photos doesn’t work for professional photographers. Can you change this in your app?.Version: 6.5.4

✓ Better ways, better optionsIf a developer who feels they need to switch to a subscription appreciates or cares at all about the paying customers that invested with them from the beginning, there is a way to do so. This is not it. Especially since this app was only so so, yet with promise, in the beginning. You don’t take away features people paid for. You do add new features, that can then be placed behind the paywall. Like true encryption. Sure some would still complain, but you could stand tall on merit and customers like myself would actually defend you in a honest and fair review. Some people don’t mind subscriptions, I do, but I can’t complain if I still have what I paid for. Fair right? Now, I could care less if you don’t get a single new user and go belly up. Why? Because what would me and the other early adopters lose out on, you already took away the main function we paid for. Saving a pic to the app. Bad business as far as I’m concerned. No need for a response unless you plan to implement my suggestion..Version: 6.6.0
✓ DisappointedI agree with the many other reviewers voicing disappointment over the change to subscription pricing. We have already paid for this app. Now to “require” your current customers to pay a monthly/annual fee to continue being able to add photos and “use the app as we have been and paid for” is not right. Make subscription the requirement for new users but Grandfather us in for “the access we had” with the option to upgrade/subscribe for access to new features..Version: 6.7.0
✓ Catastrophic fail potentialHi I have been using this app for a several months without issue, but, now when I transfer photos from iPhoto to Utiful using my IPad Pro, the photos I have transferred and saved into Utiful have become extremely degraded(blurry!) I typically use the delete from iPhoto option once I have transferred in order to save memory and use Utiful for it intended purpose(organized safe storage) . Now I have batches of photos that I have erased from iPhoto and stored in Utiful, only to have Utiful destroy my only copy of these photos! I rely on my IPad extensively for work. The photos of my work are a huge part of how I procure new and returning business. If my photos get destroyed I can not usually replace them, this messes with my money! Utiful, I have paid for your product(for three of my devises!), I have integrated it into my daily work life and trusted your service to simply save my photos in an organized manner. But now your app is Destroying my work, which cost me time and money! What have you to say for your product! It is at the very least disappointing that your app has been unknowingly destroying my work! On the other hand it is disturbing that I can’t trust Utiful to do what it is supposed to do. This is a five star app when functioning, but when it doesn’t work it will destroy all your photos! Guess I need photo insurance..Version: 6.3.0

✓ Doesn’t do as it says?I got this app solely so that I could make photo albums on my photos app and not have them in my camera roll. However, when I export my folder to photos, those pictures then show up in my camera roll and if I delete them, they also delete off my album. In other words, it is not helpful at all. ✓ Utiful not freeYes free trial but once you’ve started to move photos and create folders a pop up comes out and tells you that you have a free trial for a month then you have to pay 19.99 a year to continue to use the app. Being miss lead !!! Probably is a great app but not for a yearly subscription. What happens to your photos when you stop paying !.Version: 6.9.2
✓ BAIT AND SWITCHThis app was, until recently, a paid app (and not a cheap 99c one). However the developer decided to change it overnight to a subscription based app with NO warning or alerts to people who had purchased the app. On top of that, all OLD features have been restricted for users who previously paid - it was not done in the way most companies would do such a switch where NEW features are restricted and we can choose to subscribe to access these features. This is immoral and shows a huge lack of respect for customers who paid and supported the app. Would you trust a developer who pulls **** like this? I’d you subscribe, he could change the policies on you suddenly the next day. If you value your money, DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP. It is not actually free, it will ask you for money once you download it. In addition. The app has not had any meaningful updates in the last 2 years - it is a primitive and unstable app and with the development of the native Files app, Dropbox, Google drive, Mega, etc. you are able to get the EXACT same features for FREE. I urge you not to support a crooked developer such as this, it will only set a precedent if he gets away with this. Shame on you..Version: 6.5.4

✓ Not free - none of it freeI downloaded this as a free app. I understand that sometimes apps have a free basic introduction and then you pay for added features but this didn’t even have that. It’s free to download but not to use. I opened the app and created a folder. No problem. I went to add a photo that folder and got told I can have this feature for $19.99. That’s the most basic feature! Not even a limit on how many I can have for free, won’t even let me add one photo! This is the first time I have left a bad review on an app before deleting it. ✓ "Was" good, but now they're trying to charge more money!!!!1 star because now it's all about the money with you guys!!!! I already paid $20 for this app & now they want to start charging $20 a year now!! Oh, they said since I've been with them for over a year I get "1 month free!" Really???? ✓ Won’t move photosI’m a guy, I don’t have a ton of photos. I wanted to be able to actually sort my photos and this happens to be the “best” way to do it. I was wary of spending the money on the app, but all the reviews seemed good. WELL, my photos won’t move, and it just sits there spinning like it’s doing something, but I don’t think it should take 15 mins to move one photo, let alone the time it would take to move 450 photos! ✓ Can’t Upload or EditI’ve had the app for less than 10mins and have already discovered two major missing factors IMO. When using IG or FB to upload a photo you can’t access the Utiful app therefore once photos have been transferred over from your normal camera roll to Utiful they have gone and unless you reload them all back into your camera roll then you can’t find them to upload them to IG or FB. Which seems to me a little bit of a waste of time if they still have to be in the camera roll to be able to utilise them in other applications (i.e FB & IG)... Also there is no function to be able to edit photos in Utiful. I feel a lot of double handling is going to be happening just so I can have my photos organised into folders.... 🤦♀️ It would just be so much easier and streamlined if these two functions were available in Utiful. Ability to access Utiful through IG and FB and ability to edit photos in Utiful once they have been transferred over from camera roll..Version: 5.4.8
✓ Extra subscription charges takenOk, so I paid a one-time lifetime access £19.99 that turned into a subscription two years ago. Now monthly fee option got removed and I got charged £19.99 again for an app that I use couple of days per year. I was happy with the functionality and wanted to leave a 5-star review but this is just a crazy profiteering on loyal customers. Please bring clear monthly fee back. ✓ How do I access My PhotosI use to be able to easily access a photo, foe drifting, How do I do this with this software. It seems like you have to go in pick a folder and re download to your photo roll to acesss. This is frankly stupid. It makes it a storage device only. Please advise, or correct. ✓ HELP BEWARE!I loved this app at first, i pay for subscription but sadly when I tried to order photos to be printed or photo books to be printed from ANY of the well known photo printing apps UNTIFUL never shows up in the list of options of where to pull the photos from, I've tried everything i can to add it to the list of folders to view photos from but it will not recognize this app which makes this app useless and also my photos inaccessible and ALSO they were deleted from my camera roll upon loading them to this app so now my daughter's birthday pictures have to just sit in this app and I can't order any of these pictures to be printed, anyone know a fix to yhis PLEASE HELP!.Version: 7.0.2
✓ I almost really like this appI really like organising my photos into folders, my only wish is when I re-download to my phone the photos would retain date etc meta data. Organising by location or tag is also cool. I wish it was easier to share a whole folder with another app like google photos for sharing. To be fair the problem was probably that it would make my phone completely freeze up, maybe that will be better now I have a new phone :).Version: 7.5.0

✓ Not super satisfiedI really enjoy the idea of being able to take my pictures and separate them in a different categories and even sub categories I’m an artist and I work on a lot of different projects and a lot of times I have photos of different ideas or different works in the making and I would love to be able to have categories and subcategories and I thought the emoji was super cute and stuff but I quickly learned after getting the app that you can actually only have one folder unless you want to pay for premium which I am not willing to pay for also I couldn’t figure out how to do subfolders I don’t even know if it can I tried for a long time but yeah definitely the right idea but expecting way too much by giving you one folder and then wanted you to pay money.Version: 6.11.5

Once you have moved photos into Utiful, you can mot export them anywhere or move them back to the camera roll without losing information (date taken and all the other hidden info, location, camera settings, etc. 2. I have Utiful on both my iPhone and iPad and they will not sync. I can’t access all my Utiful photos from either drvive. 3. Support is terrible. ✓ Live Photo action gets removedI’ve been using this app for several months now and I really like the fact that that my photos can now be organized into their own respective folders, HOWEVER, be forewarned that once you import a LIVE photo into a folder in this app the “live” action on LIVE photos is removed. ✓ Library lost and money wastedApp was great until something went wrong with the app’s sync function and it “lost” over 3,000 photos (2/3 of what I had painstakingly sorted and labeled in folders and sub folders for a couple weeks). All photos were corrupted and unretrievable. ✓ FOLDERSCreated folders with this app on my IPAD PRO but the app did not add all folders on my IPHONE 8. The 3 folders it did create it did not add the photos. My photos were deleted on my iPhone out of cloud since I deleted from my IPAD. This is not what I anticipated. Other picture apps work in tandem on these IOS devices. Therefore I am truly disappointed in this app and cannot retrieve my pics that were deleted off my Iphone. The app is fine if one only works with one device. If I take a pic with IPHONE the pic automatically adds to IPad & vice versa. This app should perform the same..Version: 5.7.4
✓ Needs bug fixesLooks like it could be a good and useful app. I am a 3D developer myself, so I am not going to be too harsh in my criticism. But right now..they have a serious bug to fix, I am using an IPad Pro on IOS 13.2.3. As soon as you copy or move a pic or vid from the Camera Roll to one of the Utiful folders, then try to Share that item elsewhere by holding that item and selecting “Share” from the 4 option menu, it crashes, and yes it does this every time without fail, making it useless to me. There are only 4 items on that menu, it cant take too much Beta testing to discover and fix this. ✓ It’s not fair!I’ve had Utiful for a long time now. I’ve messaged with Utiful reps back and forth about the product. They have been super kind and friendly every time. I found this app originally after searching for just this. I love the Utiful app. Why one star, then? I purchased the full app. Something I don’t do too often. I think there should actually be a law against a company allowing you to purchase an app and then decide to charge a monthly fee. That’s not right at all. I have invested hours and hours filing my photos. Seriously, you should grandfather in your original customers. I have told so many people about this app who have downloaded it. I can’t imagine paying for anything and having someone come and say Hey, I know you paid for that but in order to keep that you now have to pay me every month. I can’t express how upset I am. App support link took me to 2 video tutorials and an FAQ - in which I did not see my answer. Have used the app for over a year, so I know how to use it. ✓ Good App But needs better integration.The app is a good app. But it’s like having a storage device that’s not hooked up. I moved photos to Utiful, deleted from camera roll. But now when using apps and trying to add photos from the app, it shows your camera roll only which is now empty. I am able to access Utiful from WhatsApp, and Messages app. But you can’t from Facebook messenger etc. When I’m a conversation on Messenger and try to add from Utiful it’s not an option. I paid 27 dollars for this app to work the same way as it does when the photos are in my camera roll. Jut in organized folders that I can set up. If I can’t integrate your app with these other messages app then your app is no good to me and I would like to return the app and get a refund. For 27 dollars for an app, it better work flawlessly. ✓ Not as easy to organizeAs a teacher I have 1000 photos of craft ideas. When I moved them to this app it jumbled them all up so my theme organizing is all undone. ✓ Milking more moneyAs others have stated I paid for this app when it wasn’t subscription. I get that the apps are licensed not bought. But still hard not to feel screwed when they change the terms. It’s like playing monopoly with a kid. Change the rules as they go for what suits them. The customers that gave the app recognition and paid for it when the agreement was $20 and we won’t ask for more money should have been grandfathered. Glad you didn’t lock and erase my photos. ✓ Would be great!.... ifSeems like it would be a great app. I would have loved to use it a little more to see how well it works, but they don’t tell you that it’s not free AT ALL, or that it only allows you to move photos ONE single time and then the app stops working unless you pay. Why not just have the subscription for backup and restore to/from your cloud service and keep everything else available as regular usage.
