✓ Could be great1. The controls by default are backwards in my opinion. Luckily there is an option to reverse them. 2. The hit target is just the pedals, when it could really be the the entire bottom half of the screen. I have failed more runs because I am furiously pressing a bit of screen right next to the brake. 3. The improvements to a vehicle can actually make a track harder to complete instead of easier, which seems to run contrary to expectations. 4. I have yet to have a run repeat anything close to the last way it was run. A fraction of a press sooner or later can mean disaster. Overall I want to like the game. And I do play it a lot. But I also get very frustrated with it, and don't see myself spending any money on it at this point..Version: 1.0.6144

✓ The makings of a good game riddled with tons of frustrationI'm not sure which aspect is more frustrating, the inconsistent "physics" or the utterly ridiculous amount of ads. As far as the physics go, I can run the same map four times, exactly the same way, pedal to the metal and when I encounter the first obstacle sometimes I'll bounce up onto the rear wheels, sometimes I'll land on the front wheels, and occasionally I'll land upside down. Don't get me started on bouncing off of some drawbridges after 1000m of an 1100m course, nearly to the end of your 56th attempt to beat it and flipping over uncontrollably to explode when you've simply bounced backwards the other 55 times. Then come the ads. Yes, I get that this is a free game funded by ads. Yes, you can opt in to ads to get free upgrades or gold. But when after every 3-4 attempts at a track you throw in a 30 second ad that can't be skipped? It wouldn't be so bad if it were every 5 minutes or so, but the fact is when you're exploding every 32 seconds due to the aforementioned inconsistent "physics" this game ends up being an exercise in futility and has nearly resulted in a flying iPhone on multiple occasions. If the physics were more consistent and the ads slightly less frequent, this had the makings to be a great game. ✓ SadJust wanted to drop by and say, I’ve been playing hill dash since iPad #1. Every time apples 3 year product life expectancy came up, my then current iPad would unexplainably croak and I would go out like a moron robot brainwashed by big corporate programming and buy another one. One of the first things I would do is reinstall hill dash, it’s like home cooking or something. I’ve finished all the levels countless times. Then I would just go back and start again. Well, Rent in the apple app palace must have gone up hella because I can only get three maybe four attempts at a level before a 30 second commercial pops up. It wasn’t like that in the olden days! Im either building up a resistance to my apple flavored Thorazine or I’m just plain crazy but, I can’t stand commercials! I can’t do it any more. All those seconds add up to minutes and then whatever comes next that I could be funneling into real meaningful and even MINDful gameplay (I’m not sure what that means but every one is saying it so it must be good) Anyway, I gave you 2 stars for old times sake. ✓ Game crashes. All progress lostFirst let me say thank god I didn’t pay money for this. Second, I play this with my daughter, and I have played for 24 hours and barely unlocked the fourth car, which took me hours to get that far. Third, when the game crashes (often) it asks if you want to use the local memory or the server memory to reload your game. Fourth, these two options are time and date stamped, which I would think makes it easy (you just pick which is more current, I assume). Finally, after a crash I did pick the more current of these two selections, and immediately restored my game back to “start over, f@@@ my life.” With a game like this, just don’t download it. ✓ JeezIts a fun game when you start out but after getting to tough levels like Desert and City Mayhem its just gets ridiculously impossible. And beating those levels is the only way to getthe really good vehicles. I’ve desicated so much time to beating these levels and haven’t got results. When I'm attempting to beat a time or complete a course to advance and I have to fight the front wheels flying upwards and then my vehicle mysteriously exploding because my roof touches the ground I want to go outside and punch a squirrel, then find his nest and punch his entire family of baby squirrels. Then there are levels with beach balls that for some reason make you explode if they lightly touch your roof. Then there's those frikkin campers that just drop on you randomly when your making good time and you explode. What's on my roof? Is there nitro glycerin in the paint? Why am I constantly exploding? Why does the game insist on ruining the fun of the game with crappy physics and random kicks to the nards when you're doing well? I tried. A friend of mine has this game also and said I should log into Facebook to update my progress so my friends could see my progression. After doing so, I’ve lost everything on my account. I just finished the snow marathon and was on the snow challenge with lots of beach balls and tires. Switched to the classic car, watched a video for a free upgrade as I’ve done many times. ✓ Initially fun, full of ads, inevitable pay wallI love side scrolling driving physics games. Tried this one out and enjoyed the first hour or so enough to pay the $1.99. (Price of going to the arcade for 5 minutes) then came the inevitable grind of either spending hours running a course that gave minimal point rewards and placed them in areas that require you to forget about completing the level in a timely manner and are sometimes impossible to gather, or "watching" 20 minutes of ads to bank the amount of coins needed to upgrade your vehicle. After you submit to that grind you will eventually get the the mayhem levels which should actually be called Insanity "doing the same level tens or hundreds of times expecting a different result" seems that you either must get very lucky with the random physics that are imparted upon your vehicle, or submit to the paywall to buy the vehicle necessary to complete that level which is not unlockable due to the design of the vehicle unlocks. You need vehicle a to complete course b to allow for the unlock of vehicle c to complete course d, but a is only unlocked after completion of course d...........Version: 1.0.7445

There's no controlling what happens to the car. You hit a pipe the car flys into the air and knocks it around like a pinball with no control until it explodes. Maxing out the car levels only makes it worse. After hundreds of attempts I give up. Loved this game at first, now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Sorry, maybe if you made it just slightly more user friendly I'd keep trying. I understand difficult but this is ridiculous. Edit... ok, so I'm still frustrated with the Snow, Mayhem marathon 1 after 5 days of trying, still not finish able. Wait about 30 minutes after crashing or finishing a race before you press the continue button because if you are too fast the game will throw a temper tantrum and disable all controls keeping stuck on the finished screen for the rest of existence. Pro Tip 2. If the game every drops to 3 frames a second just sit there for about 15 seconds before continuing or else you might crash in slow motion as you watch your phone struggle to render a poorly optimized game because of the data leak that has filled your phone with useless numbers and values which only goes away if you close the game and reopen it. Pro Tip 3. Don't bother playing any of the tracks that aren't numbered because the crazy bouncing balls will just destroy your car anyway before you can even make it past them. ✓ Obstacles are crazy hard and one useless upgradeI’ve been trying to beat the snow mayhem marathon for almost 2 days, no matter what car I use I just get screwed over, you have the beach balls that would sometimes end up getting hit by the car then getting stuck in your way, you have an upgrade that helps you flip in the air but there is almost no point for it since some cars barely even move when fully upgraded. An upgrade for the gas tank would be way more useful than the one that helps you flip faster. My other issue is upgrades. If you put in the time and effort to max out and upgrade vehicles, it seems you would *eventually* be rewarded with a vehicle that is faster, more maneuverable, and can beat the npc vehicles. Nooooooooooope. You can do a perfect run on a level and it still won't be enough to beat the npc. It would be nice to eventually be rewarded for putting time in on this game. In my opinion, the creators should definitely cut back the ads. Literally every 4-5 tries on a track and I get a 30 second (not skippable) ad. It becomes very annoying. I could deal with ads, BUT, what I can’t deal with, is that there is one track. One track that is unbeatable. I have numerous friends that play this game, and tons more who play on Facebook, and not ONE person has beaten this certain track. I must have attempted at least 100 tries (seriously) with every single vehicle I have. You can’t progress until this track complete, and the price to buy a new map or vehicle is outrageous. It’s 20k coins, when the only way you can get coins is by beating other peoples scores (100 points) Or buy getting 400 free coins every 4 hours or so. For the first 6 or 8 levels you just need to clear the level to unlock the next one. That creates an incentive to improve and keep playing. But after about 8 levels the rules change. The only way to unlock the next level is to spend $ or clear the previous level with some impossible time. Only wish you could see your time against other players and compete in a separate PvP arena. It would be nice to be able to choose your own paint schemes and stickers (decals) as well. Also, linking your game to Facebook, apparently, is the only way to change your profile pic. This is a problem because I use an alternate browser to filter out the junk, and there's no way to link to Facebook via this browser instead of Safari. ✓ It used to be goodI used to enjoy this game quite a bit. Recently came back to ios and thought I'd play it again. Unfortunately, the constant ads make it unplayable. You used to watch ads when you wanted to (for bonuses). Now, every few races you have to watch an ad. It wouldn't be bad, but you have to complete hundreds (thousands) of races, so watching all those ads when you're grinding is just too much. I almost bought a car with real money. Glad I didn't. ✓ Great game, 1 crappy bug.I absolutely am in love with playing this game, however… I found a bug that makes the game not fun to play. When I go to click restart, every now and then. It won’t restart and insted, I have to close and reopen the app. This bug makes the game so tedious to play, because I have to get out the get back into the game. ✓ Deleted more stuffI went to watch an advertisement to earn a free level for my dark blue truck and it closed the game completely after I watched the advertisement. When I opened up my game it brought me back to the cloud or local save choice and me being confused I clicked on local like I did beforehand. When I went to vehicle selection and my maps they were all reset to the beginning. I had lost all of my progress. That is why I am giving this such a bad review. ✓ City: Mayhem way to hard for microI've been trying to get past city mayhem for over 2 hours now with the micro. I've tried looking up how to beat it, but everyone had put luck involved. You need to make the course I little easier. I've gotten all the way to the end, but the beach balls are always in the way. They all ways get me. It gets real annoying when you get only about 5 meters away, and then you hit the tire and beach balls in such a way every freaking time, you blow up.
