Land Rover Route Planner for Negative User Reviews

It keeps showing the last parked location in a different place!!!!When is Land Rover going to fix this app?! All their apps do not work!!!!!!!!!!.Version: 1.3.0

Route download stopped workingI am completely frustrated. The route creation and download to my vehicle was a nice feature. About 1 year ago the app simply stopped downloading to my vehicle. The web version continues to work as expected. Here Technologies will only deal with Land Rover not customers. Land Rover has been working with Here Technologies but after 12 months still refuses to accept the fact that their app is broken. I have found other reviews stating exactly the same issue but Land Rover/Here continue to treat this issue as an isolated issue somehow specific to my phone. I couldn’t be more disappointed in the customer support by both Here Technologies and Land Rover. They offer a product that simply doesn’t work but really don’t seem to have an interest in resolving the issue. Update, now after 24 months the app still will not download/communicate with my vehicle. Here.com and Land Rover continue to state they are working on a solution. The app still does not work, Land Rover really doesn’t seem to care..Version: 1.3.1

Does not workApp does not work as described. First, it seems to think my car is parked 5 miles away when it's actually feet away in my garage. The Land Rover Remote app can see where it's parked. Second, it does not sync with my car when I get in and hand off navigation to the touch screen. I suppose that could be because it thinks my car is 5 miles away? Either way, the app simply does not work and I'm deleting it..Version: 1.0.5

Save memory on your phone and delete appI have tried to use this app several times, I was expecting a google maps like experience if not better, after all its “Landrover” it is as many have said completely useless. I have kept revisiting App Store hoping for an update with loads of bug fixes, like most developers do or when they launch something this bad, withdraw it. LandRover should remove this as the experience is more damaging to the brand..Version: 1.3.1

IOS app fails to sync to carThe whole purpose of this app is to Plan - Sync - Drive -Arrive (LR’s description) and like so many other reviews on here the iOS app simply fails to sync with my LR navigation system. This renders this app utterly useless and leaves me and others with no other option than to sit in the car and manually type in the destination whilst everyone sits there waiting to leave..Version: 1.3.1

Poor designAsks for my VIN then recognizes my car correctly. After that if I go to manage my vehicles it shows "you have 0 vehicles". Round and round you go. Adding the VIN confirming the vehicle only to find "you have 0 vehicles". Not sure what the benefit of this app is because I can either enter the destination in my vehicle or use google maps on my phone. Land Rover. Are you listening? Single sign on for all aspects of the vehicle should be automatic. One registration not several. Make it seem less..Version: 1.0.5

Never worksTried on several phones and this is completely useless as constantly says requires my location. It seems there is no Q&A at Land Rover given the other apps are poor quality..Version: 1.0.5

App does not workThe app will not update my SUV’s current location. It is locked with the dealership location where I purchased the SUV. Therefore, it will not allow me enter new destinations. The offers a great concept which I hope will be usable soon, assuming the app is fixed! The Remote app works very well including having the correct location for the vehicle..Version: 1.3.0

DisappointedI have tried repeatedly to connect as others have stated. I have tried to find more information on the app also to no avail. I have a 2020 Defender with the latest PIVI Pro system. My InControl app and account work very well but this Route app is dead on arrival. I always get the log into vehicle and save location in settings. I am logged in and cannot find a save location option in settings or as I stated ANY guidance to sort this out from Landrover..Version: 1.3.0

Very slow to get a location, no easy to useLand Rover Route planner Apps is a waste of time and energy. Sad paying that much for a car and I can use a decent GUI for navigation, music or calls/messages. The basics what I am asking for... why not provide customers who pays $xxx simple Apple CarPlay connectivity which is proven, tested and easy to use. Land Rover need to stop selling cars with nice large screens with no proper features . SHAME!.Version: 1.3.0

Inaccurate streets/wrong directions/dangerousUsing the map is dangerous. For instance, it tells me turn left when exhibiting the street that I live on but turning left would have me driving on the wrong side of the road. Likewise, it tells me to turn on a street that has not existed since before 2011 (I would end up in someone’s living room). Therefore, the map is OLD and outdated even though it said that I have the most recent version in the car and on the app. There is a highway that became a toll road over a year ago, I do not use toll roads and have the options set to avoid the, but the map is always directing me to take toll highways, such as this one. My friends laugh at me because I am driving a 2017 Range Rover but I still have to use Waze on my cell phone or my old Garmin for accurate directions. You would think that RR would not have these issues but this is the worse car map service I have ever used. Please, please, please update this map with at least the version from 2017 so that the map will match the “update date”. Thank you..Version: 1.3.0

Location usually incorrectThe location of the vehicle in this “Route” App is usually incorrect. It’s often some random point on a previous journey. It’s suggesting my car is currently on the middle of the QE2 Bridge over the Thames. The “Remote” App is correct all the time, so why this app can’t sync is random. When planning a route, it first suggests I walk to the car (some 30 miles away) to drive to my location. Even if I get in the car and connect the phone to it, it still directs me to where it thinks the car is. This should be a perfect app for planning a route before sitting in the car with everyone waiting for you, but it fails every time..Version: 1.3.1

This app no longer works! This app was great when it worked but now it doesn’t even let me sign in. States that it can’t find vehicle even though the remote app does and functions just fine..Version: 1.3.0

Just start overOne of the selling features to my new Discovery was the updated tech over my last few rigs. Unfortunately they have not delivered a consistent, easy to use, intuitive application. There are other auto manufactures with much lower price points that have this figured out. Much less what is expected with a lux vehicle like this. Very disappointed, does LR care ?.Version: 1.0.5

UselessThis app is supposed to let you plan a route which will then automatically sync to your vehicle. While it will do the former, it hasn’t been able to do the latter for 2 years now in my case. Land Rover state they are aware and “due to technical advances will not be providing a solution or update…you will only be able to sync a route from the main InControl website…” What’s the point of this app then, why hasn’t it been removed from the store and when are we going to get an app that uses these ‘technical advances’…?!.Version: 1.3.1

PatheticUsers can’t login to Navigation in the car…. “Sorry something wrong our end” !! Therefore app can’t sync rendering it useless. Despite recent map updates, postcode locations that appear on all other Nav products simply don’t appear on “HERE”. You have to have the car engine running for 40 minutes to update map version. This crap must have been written by five-year-olds on bring your kids to work day. Shocking junk from a no longer premium manufacturer..Version: 1.3.1

Worst app everThe key to using the product is registering. However, I can’t simply get past the registration part. Completely useless. No response from support either so don’t waste your time or think you can use this with your new Land Rover..Version: 1.3.0

Route plannerHi I’ve had all these issues answer, back to your dealer to set it up again, I live in Wales it showed the car in Bristol, then it decided to work and left the screen showing the car 4 miles away, Now it’s correct after main garage reset, but the route planner app won’t sync to the car so can’t plan any trip on my mobile, Pretty rubbish and you have to pay continually after your 3 year warranty, a right cheapskate ripoff, My next luxury car will most certainly not be a Landrover/Jaguar, Most like a cool free update on all apps Audi,.Version: 1.3.1

Shocking and UselessA complete waste of time. If I try to use this from home in Essex it tells me my car is in Cumbria where I last parked it in September 2017. Therefore I can’t use it despite deleting the app and then downloading again, several times. I have been a Land Rover fan for a long time and also own a Defender, this plus the massive software problems for most of 2018 is turning me to Toyota!.Version: 1.3.0

My Car location inaccurateThis app doesn't work, My Car location is always incorrect..Version: 1.0.5

Fallen OverApp was never brilliant, with sporadic data communication with the vehicle. Now it has completely fallen over, which,LR support say, is due to incompatibility with latest IOS version. I am told a new version is due in the coming weeks………...Version: 1.3.1

Cant route me hit it finds the locationIt shows and finds the address hut will not let you route and start. It just says cant find a route check your settings WT $&:&/!:(:&!,@€|%]%[*! !.Version: 1.3.1

Quicker to walk the route!IOS12 Update: I would love to say this app has improved but with no update for a year it hasn’t. I want to be supportive of Land Rover's but if you are used to using Google or Apple maps this app lives in the dark ages. You can send the route to your car which would be useful but take miles to long, if it works at all. My daughter has Apple Car play in her little car and it is brilliant. My car cost £75k+ and it is doesn’t have decent sat nav. Sigh....Version: 1.3.0

Awful app- Does not workAs another reviewer has said, this app believes my car is 5+ miles away from where it is, despite the fact that the Control app has the vehicle position correct. Pretty sad that LR developers can't manage to pull location info from another one of THEIR OWN APPS. Will delete this one- waste of time..Version: 1.0.5

Shared Destination does NOT work !Firstly, it doesn't read your contacts so you can to create each contact in the app/in your vehicle. Secondly, when you hit "share destination " it says it's now sharing with the contact you selected but nothing happens! I've tried this several times and each person said they received nothing. Needs major update......Version: 1.0.5

App doesn’t workI paid over 100K for a car and you can’t provide an app that works. Get it together, if you can’t provide an app that works, then don’t provide one at all..Version: 1.3.0

NavigationRR navigation system/ infotainment is SIMPLY TERRIBLE!!! $$ 100k+ SUV should NOT have these issues. Navigation has taken me through some of Chicago’s WORST areas & Indiana... Infotainment is brutally slow & should be updated for free, extremely sad technology!!! I wish I never purchased this SUV..... better technology in vehicles for a FRACTION OF WHAT A RR COST !!!.Version: 1.3.0

Can’t make it work at allWe’ve had our new car 6 months now and we still can’t use this app. Says the VIN is invalid when I am 100% it is correct. Accordingly I can’t associate my car to the app. Funny that the other apps work ok , albeit they are not good enough either..Version: 1.3.1

Last Parked Location doesn’t workLast parked location doesn’t work, even though Land Rover Remote App tracks the vehicle fine. Even more frustrating is as far as I can tell you can’t change the start point of the journey, to actually plan a journey!.Version: 1.3.0

Epic failure (again)It helps if you can log on ....Version: 1.0.3

FailUnable to login. Can't find the account even though the account info is the same and works with Land Rover Remote..Version: 1.0.5

UnreliableThis app is about as reliable as my Range Rover utter rubbish it never knows location of my car it says I’m in random locations not the correct location, my car knows where it is the in control app knows where it is, this app hasn’t got a clue 2 years of grief hope Landrover sorts this before I change cars this year if not I might change brands.Version: 1.3.0

Terrible app expected from Land RoverI wish there was something good I could say about this app. It’s just down right terrible. Nothing works properly. Routes are wrong..Version: 1.3.0

Limited route planning optionsAside from the issue about actual location of the vehicle, the route when planned remotely does seem to transfer with ease to the car, but, route planning is limited. The system demands an actual address as opposed to a point on a map... no use for a vehicle designed to go off road! Also there is no ability to decide the route from a to b, with the system only permitting you to go the way it wants . Yes you can add a waypoint but only if you have an actual address ... as noted above. The ability to ‘select from the map’ is surly essential?.Version: 1.3.0

PoorThis has been hacked together like an afterthought with no application of good ux practices and basic functionality missing like being able to name a saved destination or route. Not good enough really..Version: 1.3.1

TerribleShame you can’t award zero stars really. App does nothing correctly. Doesn’t locate car consistently, doesn’t load route on to car system when it does. Looks really old school too. Really JLR why bother!? Just integrate with apple or whoever properly or hire some good staff!!! Really detracts from an otherwise excellent car..Version: 1.3.0

Can’t believe how bad the app experience isCan’t even login to the app nor it recognizes my VIN .There are so many seamless customer experience apps in the market and JLR can’t learn from it ? I thought Tata’s had top notch digital services unit .what happened to that ? Looking forward to use the app atleast once ..Version: 1.3.0

Ridiculously badWhen you put a search in most times the route given takes you miles out of the way suggesting a four hour route for something that should be one hour.Version: 1.3.0

Terrible, Outdated, and AwkwardFor a $109,600 SUV, I expected so much more. There are so many things wrong with the suite of apps: It is a suite of 3 Apps: Why Is the “Phone Connection”, “Remote Access”, “Navigation Access” apps all separate? There did no logical reason for these to be separated into different apps that don’t talk to each other The app won’t even use the addresses on your phone to speed up data entry. So you you have to type or search The search is slow and inaccurate. I have not been able to find stores when I type in their exact name and ZIP code Why not use a wireless connection? The car has WiFi and Bluetooth. It could easily run the InControl apps via bluetooth. In comparison look past Mercedes, BMW, and Audi’s apps. While many of them have their own issues, the reviews are significantly higher rated. In the case of the BMW and Audi I can confirm that the functionality is extensively better. In today’s day and age, the connectivity and functionality is highly important So after three Range Rovers, this will be my last unless within the next 2 years they pull their head out and TRULY dedicate a team to build an innovative and quality experience rivaling..Version: 1.3.0

Has it failed? When I enter a destination the app tells me it can’t find a route , check route preferences. Checked the very limited settings. All ok. Deleted, turned phone off, restarted, reinstalled, same issue. The App Support button in the App Store returns “Page not found”. Help please!.Version: 1.3.1

Takes you down restricted roads and bus lanesDespite the fact that it cannot locate the car correctly and gives a different route than in the in car nav this app takes you down restricted roads, bus lanes and the wrong way down one way streets. This app needs a serious overhaul or JLR need to look at a different company for their app development..Version: 1.3.0

RubbishThis app just doesn’t work. It insists on trying to send me to a place I visited months ago, it won’t allow me to remove it as the destination. Whenever I try to add a new destination it tries to add it to the old route. It’s infuriating. Just cheap and nasty from what should be a premium supplier..Version: 1.3.0

App doesn’t sync to carI have had this app for several years when it worked fine however, for the last two years I have been unable to sync it with my Discovery. I have spoken to my dealer who can’t fix it and reviewing Land Rover forums it seems to be a common problem with no one being able to provide a solution. App is a waste of time and effort..Version: 1.3.1

Parked LocationWhen will this app update my vehicles. parked location? I deleted the app and reinstalled it but it still has my last parked location wrong. What’s worse is that I have never been to the address shown. This app is completely useless. Thankfully we have CarPlay and can use Waze LOL.Version: 1.3.0

Perhaps uselessSo pleased to see this app when I got my new car. Thought that it works make life easier and it still might. But sadly it constantly thinks that my car is parked miles from where it is making route planning a waste of time. I check in every day to see if it had worked out where the car is - something the other Landrover app does - but no. So I can't use it until it not only realised I am not parked where it thinks I am, but perhaps realises I never have been. So back to Google for route planning and then programming the sat nav in the car. Irritating.Version: 1.3.0

Sync issuesI find this app very frustrating, if I send a destination from my Mac it seems to sync no problem, but from the phone app it never syncs. As I don’t carry my Mac around with me this is a huge inconvenience. LR don’t seem able to fix this issue yet they’ll happily charge £89 a year to use it. Guys please find the solution!!!!.Version: 1.3.1

Doesn’t work....When was the last time you updated and worked on this app. It doesn’t work with my iPhone 11 running iOS 13. You must do better. This is ridiculous. The app won’t even open now..Version: 1.3.0

Confused! When the car actually syncs with app they then both go on different routes to same destination!! Also my phone app suggests I go round roundabout the wrong way!! Limited settings available to check these issues.Version: 1.3.0

Limited usefulnessWhilst you can search and find many places (as it should) you cannot rename a location to something meaningful once saved as a favourite. You have to use the cars Nav system to edit the name !! Why not in this app? As with many things InControl, this appears to be designed by engineering teams not actual people who use the system. Don’t JLR do usability testing? InControl Touch Pro is very good. A huge step up for JLR, but I wish they’d employ someone who understands UI and especially UX. Some simple fixes, features or alterations to this app and the in car systems would make using InControl so much better..Version: 1.3.0

Don’t waste your lifeDon’t waste your life down loading this app. It can’t even recognize where your car is located, let alone set a location and plan a route there. Land Rover need to remove this app to salvage some dignity for their reputation. Would have not rated if possible, 1 star is over egging this atrocious app..Version: 1.3.1

Does not workApp no longer sends directions to my car. Many others have the same issue. Please concentrate on improving the apps and less on spending money on frivolous things like outfitting a Land Rover with a full kitchen for a celeb chef. No reason why Land Rover owners should have an app that is inferior to Toyota owners..Version: 1.3.1

Can’t log inIt keeps telling me “didn’t find an account associated with that email address.”.Version: 1.3.0

Useless most of the time. When planning a journey it nearly always say it can’t creat a route because it can’t get to the car. Most of the time it says may car is somewhere else. I did contact Land Rover to report the problem and they advised me to log into my account on a laptop and try that..Version: 1.3.1

It dose not working on IPhone X.It dose not working on IPhone X..Version: 1.3.0

Needs some work...The App is missing some fundamental capabilities; Renaming Favourites In App - Having a Postcode or Address when you want something more recognisable (such as Business or Family member name). You can rename them in the car on screen, though after changing three saved Favourites on screen in the car, the app disappeared (crashed?) and when it finally came back, it had no Favourites. Only after the car had been off a while did they come back, with teh changed names, but the App still has the unfriendly Address / Postcode for the same location. On Demand Sync - No apparent way to sync on demand so you can share immediately and know what you wanted to see on the car has made it. iPad / landscape option..Version: 1.3.0

Car location won’t updateInitially this was working well. Liked the ability to use my phone then transfer the route to the car. However encountered an issue I couldn’t overcome which is that the car location would not update from a parked location some time ago. So whenever I tried to use the app it thought my car was in Cornwall, over 100 miles from where it actually was. This despite my other Land Rover remote app being accurate. Had to delete it..Version: 1.3.1

Terrible and disturbing appI cannot understand how a company like Land Rover could come up with such a terrible app. Every time I start my car or tries to connect to my phone, it requests permission to connect, and I mean every single time I start up my car. If I already gave permission from my phone to be accessed, I don’t understand why it requests permission every single time. Also the apps are very limited and not useful at all. It is better if you allow a third party professional app to operate with your vehicle instead of wasting your time and money for something completely useful. I love my Range Rover, but this is annoying me every day and wished I never downloaded it. You can do a lot better guys. If you read the reviews you will realize you got to do something about it..Version: 1.3.0

Shows that my vehicle is at home all the time.I deleted the app and reinstalled it. No change. Otherwise neat concept and features. Useless though for me..Version: 1.3.0

No longer worksThe only reason I have this app is to push a navigation location to my Range Rover so that when I get into the vehicle it is pre-loaded and I can just start driving. The functionality to connect to my vehicle stopped working months ago and there have been no app updates. Useless and frustrating app..Version: 1.3.1

Oh dear!!I’ve only used the app a couple of times. I now find myself in a position where it is nothing short of useless!!. No matter where I try to navigate to, the app continues to inform me that my car is parked 10 miles away!!. Any attempt at navigating a route is made ridiculously futile, as I am instructed to walk 10 mile to my vehicle. I have tried deleting the app, where the hopeful message that all data will be also be deleted. On deleting and later downloading again. Guess what???. My car is still 10 miles away !!!. The Land Rover remote app, has always shown my car to be in the correct position where I left it!!!. Why the Land Rover apps are not synchronised is beyond me. Perhaps I’ll just enjoy the journey, accompanied by a good old fashioned road map from the service station!!!!.Version: 1.3.0

GarbageThe app is trash. It doesn’t even know where my car is. It can’t send my planned route to my car..Version: 1.3.0

Doesn’t workIt might be good if it worked. I guess I’ll never know. Been trying now for 2 months to register an account but the website just fails. Have tried emailing support but no response. Contact developer link on here is no longer valid. Can we get it fixed?.Version: 1.3.1

IPhone X support would helpApp works reasonably well, but the lack of iPhone X support is more stark in a map app. It also would be great to remember login information better. App seems to forget often, and I have to sign in again. The error says “something happened on their end.”.Version: 1.3.0

Land Rover Route Planner AppAbsolute waste of time, app doesn’t allow me to log in says can’t find car have reset, logged out, rebooted tried everything to get this to work and main dealership also doesn’t have a clue, well done Land Rover 100k car with all these promised features which don’t work. Have also emailed JLR on several occasions on this with no response absolutely shocking service from JLR.Version: 1.3.1

It had one job and can’t even get that right 🤦‍♂️“Couldn't find a route Please check your route preferences and try again.” Reinstalled the app, new phone, makes no difference. Worked for a while when I got the car. Waste of time.Version: 1.3.1

Don’t bother with thisThis app is total garbage. It has my location 200 miles away and there is no way to change it. It also defaults to walking so every time it says it cannot get the route because it is too far to walk. Don’t waste your time..Version: 1.3.0

CrudeI tried it one time and that was enough. Why bother if you can’t compete with Google or even Apple Maps. Default is walking. That’s nonsense for a car app. Shows two routes to my destination but I can’t see how to choose one. It’s chooses for me. The time is fairly close but it shows 51 miles to a location I know is 24 miles. I just looked at the last update time! Three years ago! That’s absolutely pathetic. Many of my apps get updated almost weekly and Land Rover can’t be bothered with an update in 3 years. I wanted an off-road vehicle with some nice styling but I will have to go back to Land Cruisers..Version: 1.3.0

Poor instructions... can't loginThe description of the app sounds great but it doesn't recognize my inControl account. I'll update my review if I can ever login!.Version: 1.0.3

Why won’t this app work?Keeps telling me my car location setting aren’t correct. Then it won’t recognize my VIN. Why do we need 3 different apps!? Ugh!.Version: 1.3.0

Simple functions missing - making it uselessSome very basic functionality missing. For example: it should be possible to plan a route defining the start point and waypoints, not only the destination. As it is currently there is no point using it because you can’t plan a route, only a destination, which can easily be done on the vehicles own system..Version: 1.3.0

Still parked at dealershipFix the app. The touch screen navigation stinks and needs upgrading. This app would help..Version: 1.3.0

It has issuesUsed for quite a while with no problems, sat in the house planned a journey and sent to car. It then starts telling me car is parked about a mile away, it’s actually outside my house. Problem was the app in the car had logged me out, no indication I needed to log back in again, so assumed problem was with ‘route planner’. It’s now back to working ok but am constantly having to check I’m still logged in in the car (2017 Evoque).Version: 1.3.1

AWFUL!!!!!This app is absolutely awful. There are that many flaws in it I’ve stopped using it all together. Even with the latest map updates installed on my 2018 discovery hse and after re-installing the iOS phone app many times to the latest updated iPhone it still refuses to communicate with the vehicle. WHEN WILL THE DEVELOPERS REALISE THIS APP IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE ..Version: 1.3.0

Not fit for purposeI used this app once to send a route to my car. It did so, but now I can’t delete that destination from the app. It’s now my permanent destination and I can’t enter any others. Also, like others have experienced, my car’s location is often shown miles from where it actually is. Sadly, all the Land Rover apps seem to be the same..Version: 1.3.1

Navigation is great. Interface and connectivity horribleThat app itself works well But it’s not intuitive , like all LR unfortunately . I wish there was just a simple send to car command. Or add a waypoint to current route. Pls pls try harder.Version: 1.3.0

Can’t even sign in!!!!Come on Land Rover! This is not what we should expect from a British premium vehicle. My Mercedes “send to car” map system works like a dream. Why can Land Rover not get this simple task right?EVERYTHING should be on the “Remote App”: Maps, vehicle start, windows operation, find my car, maps (send destination to vehicle), Rear Seat controls. This surely this cannot be that complicated? I would have given this app zero stars if it were possible..Version: 1.3.0

Frustrating AppI’ve registered my email account a billion times and every time I try to login on the app, I get different error messages, such as: “Cannot log you in for securing reasons” “Email account not recognized” “Try again in 60mins” Then when I am lucky enough to login on the website, I cannot add my VIN because the lame stuff say my VIN is invalid!?!? This is the most ridiculous app I’ve ever come across, I do not know if they don’t read the reviews here. I’ve spent time googling to see if I can get any information on how to fix this but I have not been able to come across any use guide or instructions on how to do this. Cannot believe for 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, a simple route planner cannot be designed.Version: 1.3.0

Total rubbishWon’t let me sign in like many others, when it did work months ago !! Kept showing vehicle in Lincolnshire when it was actually in my garage in Manchester, No way of getting it to show cars correct location, So I’ve given up.Version: 1.3.0

JUST USE WAZECannot login. Not able to sign up. Worthless..Version: 1.0.5

Need a lot more workSays my car is a 4 hour walk away as last known location, when it’s in my drive so routes are all skewed. Doesn’t seem like I can add a favourite to my car system or rename locations and no choice of routes… it would have been nice to set all my favourites on my iPad rather than in the car. Very basic..Version: 1.3.1

UselessFor something that is designed to be used with an 80k car the In control live app and functionality is a total disgrace . The car will not recognise my account and password even though it’s recognised both online and by the app on my phone. On thé live side of things all I ever get when I can be bothered to try it again is the message « sorry there’s a problem at our end » I tried contacting JLR through their online service and all I got was dealers ringing me constantly trying to sell me a new car !! Im back to Mercedes next time at least they under what customer service is..Version: 1.3.0

LR 405 OwnerUseless. I previously had the app but deleted it as it always showed my car on a street in London that I once drove along (never even parked there). I thought I would give the app one more try and downloaded it again. Unfortunately my car still looks to be a couple of hundred miles away in London. The vehicle shows in the correct location on the Landrover Remote App..Version: 1.3.1

Absolute crapAbsolutely no installation instructions, levels of security higher than that required for a nuclear missile launch and eventually find there’s an issue with the site which has been going on for days. Contact your dealer it says, which I did and the say ring the helpline..Version: 1.3.1

Awful, just awfulDon’t be swayed by any of Landrover’s apps. They are pretty much all rubbish and this is no better. This app is so infuriating. I’m trying to plan a route from a place here in Austria to a place in Italy. First, the app insists that the car is about 280 miles away in Germany. So I suppose the £96,000 Vogue that I can see through the window is just a cardboard cutout then. I cannot get the app to see the car here. Second, whenever I try to plan a route, it insists that it is too far to walk. There is nowhere in the app where I can tell it that I’m not walking, ‘cos I’ve got a RANGEROVER!!!! Landrover have done these apps on the cheap. Better if they had not offered them at all. Waste of time..Version: 1.3.0

Terribly UnresponsiveI’m trying to remotely lock my vehicle, however the app won’t let me because it says the vehicle has been asleep for over a week. Strange because I drove 5 hours from NC to VA yesterday, and drove today in VA as well. Of course the vehicle still thinks it’s in NC, or at least the app does..Version: 1.3.1

Don’t forget your compassI thought this was going to be good. I set my destination on my phone and jumped into the car. There’s a few minutes delay before the car seems to sync with your phone so you’d better know which general direction you’re going in! Then you’re distracted setting/checking the destination on the satnav. Pretty ok through the car journey, but once I parked and hopped out of the car the phone app just said HEAD EAST - great.... App killed off and switched to Google Maps..Version: 1.3.0

Severely Flawed, Restricts Phone Use, SlowEnclosed are comments regarding the InControl architecture as well as Navigation and Remote. Note that one cannot use the route planner without the InControl Touch Pro even though one purchased Navigation. All entries must be manually entered on screen and there is no phone integration other than verbal Bluetooth directional status. Having used the InControl App for 3 weeks I am sorely disappointed in Jaguar/Land Rover. The InControl App is so horrendous, I regret my vehicle purchase. For example, For example, there is NO texting integration. This is a serious design flaw that when coupled with a locked phone design flaw is completely unacceptable. InControl requires the phone to be tethered/plugged in to function. Not so with Apple CarPlay. Your device is locked with a tethered image. If one locks their phone (to save screen use) or attempts to go to the phone home screen or other phone function the InControl features stop functioning meaning they do not run in the background. Horrendous design flaw. Further, safety features are disabled when InControl is in use. For example, Park Assist beeping does NOT function when playing audio. Yet another horrendous design flaw. I have not tested for other design flaws but frankly I'm done already. If you have not purchased one of these fine vehicles yet, consider these limitations before you purchase - these certainly would have influenced my purchase decision. Likewise, the Remote functionality is reasonable but flawed by excessive identification time. My vehicle status just took 60 seconds. Consider this, count to 60 with the intent of starting your car, getting into your home, etc. the delay is unacceptable. Furthermore, one may not control temperature after the vehicle is started. Kudos though to successful operation in an underground parking facility. Be sure to read on for the core InControl architecture..Version: 1.0.5

Need upgrade to fit iPhone notch screenThis app need to be upgraded to fit iPhone notch screen..Version: 1.3.0

This has to to the worst connected app I’ve come acrossNot even worth 1 star. Come on JLR, you build premium cars, charge premium rates for them yet you continually produce absolutely dire applications, both as phone apps and the I car systems. This is really shoddy development and does nothing to show Brand Awareness is important to Tata....Version: 1.3.0

Good overall but serious niggles! It’s great you can choose a destination and route on your phone then download to car. Saves all the time when you get in car especially recently on holiday in France. However, it rarely gets where the car is parked and seems to stick to a location days or even weeks ago! This means you have to delete and plan from your own location etc. This has been wrong since I got my car 9 months ago..Version: 1.3.0

No Longer WorksSince updating to this latest version, the app no longer seems to be able to locate my car! It constantly reports it to be parked half a mile down the road!!! The in-car navigation software is working correctly, as is the Land Rover Remote app - these are both locating my car perfectly. Another disappointment with Land Rover electronics :-(.Version: 1.3.0

Useless will not sync with carPrime purpose is to start/plan journey on phone then it is supposed to sync with car navigation system as you get in car. It simply doesn’t, so a pointless App. Go to car and set up journey on the dash, the phone app is useless..Version: 1.3.1

Useless appThis app used to allow me to send a route from the app to my vehicle’s navigation system. That is really the only reason to use this app and now can’t even do that. The app was last updated 9 months ago even after repeated complaints. Before that, it was updated 4 years ago. Definitely not a priority for Land Rover. Land Rover needs to do better for such expensive vehicles..Version: 1.3.1

This app can't even find my carThis app can't even find my car. When I hit login, it tells me to turn on the setting that locates me car. It would be helpful if they told me where this was..Version: 1.0.5

Total f’in joke....The fact that my salesman told me this was a great feature is an even bigger joke Totally worthless.Version: 1.3.0

LocationI have just got out of the dealer after big software upgrade. The app still has my RR at a location for the last 3 months. I was hoping this would have been fixed but no so the app is useless..Version: 1.3.0

UselessAbsolutely hopeless, a new Discovery and no matter what I do the account is either not regonised or is locked for security reasons and NO help from “HERE” consumer website. After 5 days I’m giving up and have to go back to my old Garmin Sat Nav. It is disgraceful that JLR allow their name to be tied to this product. Sadly 1 star is the lowest I can give.Version: 1.3.0

No longer workingUse to love this functionality. Part of the reason In choosing the car! However the iOS app no longer works and cannot get any explanation from here or Landrover. Also the update for petrol are sporadic and parking has never worked.Version: 1.3.1

RubbishI have the same issues that most other people seem to have , location of the car . It’s about 2miles away , took the car back to landrover , they can’t fix it either . Deleted it ,2 year old Defender ..Version: 1.3.1
