Round in circlesSimple task of updating an outdated card on iCloud payments - one might think. Card wouldn’t delete. New payment methods didn’t show. This support app was hopeless. Told me to log out and back in again - I did this and the whole support thread disappeared. Automation might seem clever but it ain’t human and I have wasted over an hour trying to sort the simple business of making sure I can pay my Apple subscriptions. Crap..Version: 4.5

Review system is inflated and scamTo make this short thumbing thru some of the apps reviews mainly the one I use and or have done businesses with all seem to have this 4.5 or 5 star rating but if I briefly thumb down thru it I see more 1 to 3 negative stars giving out by individual but some how. The bigger companies rating always seems to be 5 stars . I like Apple and I use Apple products and I think they make a great product but I think their whole review system has got a glitch. How much are the companies paying Apple to keep a five star rating ?big money tops, which is a shame because they not really know what company or product you’re doing with.Version: 4.8.1

Great customer service but...They have good customer service. Always fast and prompt but I've had issues with technical support understanding more complex issues even when selecting a certain category of specialty when it comes to a problem. I've actually been able to figure out some difficult issues myself before support was while texting back and forth. I understand there's human error in everything --- but I don't think that should happen. Especially since I don't hold myself to high level of expertise when it comes to an iPhone. I'll give them credit on always being quick to respond but that goes hand in hand with having expertise in solving issues. Otherwise it's frustrating.Version: 3.0.1

Lack of Service ExcellenceI’ve been a customer for over 12 years. I have almost every Apple product except an Apple TV. I called in regarding another replacement for a leather case. Directed into the store. Turn away from the Apple store because didn’t have receipt or case that show that it was replace in that store. Called back in & the rep provided the original receipt & the repair ID number & directed me back in to the store just to be told that they couldn’t replace it because it’s a year from the original purchase date not the replacement date. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME- SENT ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE! Can you believe all I ask for Apple to consider a 25% off a new case for the inconvenience & supposedly the Apple Advisor, Apple Tech Support, & Apple Sales team (not sure who I was talking to because the reps and chat team kept transferring to different people). Rip offI arranged to have my airpod pro case serviced/ repaired by Apple. It was a very slight problem where due to contact corrosion i occasionally had to wiggle an airpod in the case to start it charging. This wasn’t really a big problem but I expect Apple products to work faultlessly as the premium purchase price would suggest. I was told that I needed to pay £230 up front and after the product had been repaired the remainder would be refunded. I was also instructed that I needed to send the AirPods as well as the case back for repair even though they worked perfectly. A few days passed and Apple sent me a refurbished set of AirPods and charging case and charged me more than the price of a brand new set from an Apple shop stating that my original set was beyond repair. Many hours spent on the phone being pushed from one department to the next got me nowhere with my complaint so I have just accepted that Apple has ripped off a loyal customer and that there is very little I can do about it. I hope by writing this review I may help someone else avoid being ripped off by Apple.Version: 4.7.2

Will randomly not work as intendedDuring crucial steps, such as confirming that a specific number should be used for the next step, the app will have a continue button with no text that can’t be clicked. I have never had so much trouble with any large company’s account system as I have had with apple ID, and this sub par support app (which they have decided to entangle in this process). The numerous steps that it expects you to perform while verifying your apple ID are all points in the chain where things can and do go wrong. The app adds yet another layer where everything can go wrong. If there is anything that will drive me away from apple, it’s their inability to decently implement their accounts in a way where they aren’t a continual massive hassle to the end user. The inability of the support app to deal with even the simplest of task like email authentication without falling over completely is just the final nail in the coffin..Version: 4.2.1

Not Expert in resolving issuesI have an issue with my Purchased softwares with My New Mac Air M2 . Softwares were already installed in my mac but they were unable to update , those soft are not linked with my apple ID. Every developer who had any decision-making responsibility for this worthless app must be fired immediately and laughed out of the business, so they can start new careers anywhere but in tech. Experience with support todayI love Apple products and always previously had good experiences. Unfortunately, not so today. I contacted chat support to see why unable to activate a promotion that should come with new Mac. Uploaded copy of receipt at their request. Person stated the promotion had been used previously, which I did not understand, as I had not activated to my knowledge. Worker typed “no worries” then later came back with curt statement that decision that promotion was ineligible was final, without my having any opportunity to ask more questions. Latest update for iPhoneI am very disappointed in the fact that your most recent update to iOS controls the volume level for Bluetooth headphones. It turns down automatically because of hearing problems. The reason why I have it turned up is I am a disabled veteran who has hearing problems caused by protecting the very freedoms you enjoy everyday due to an IED (improvised explosive device) that exploded near me while in Baghdad 13 years ago. I have constant ringing in my ears ever since. So when it turns down, I can hardly hear the audio if I am working out or simply mowing my lawn. I am very disappointed in Apple since Steve died. Apple SupportGreat service but terrible cost. Too expensive for the humble person who can’t afford Apples prices, without going into potential debt. Really should have plans for the people who’d rather not spend excessively on something that’s not as important as our health or mental health. The dumbest recovery experience possibleTrying to unlock an iPhone 6 to give to children. Cant remember the unlock code. Device said it can send a recovery code to another device, an iPad I dont have anymore. Ran through the troubleshooting to recover passcode. Wanted me to login into an @icloud.com account I dont remember the password to. Attempted password recovery to the @icloud.com email and it offered to send an unlock code to the iPhone 6 that isn’t working. Did “text me an unlock code”, entered the code, then the program wanted to send a verification code the the @icloud.com account I was trying to recover! Same as not having any supportDownloaded it yesterday at the apple store because one of the store assistant told me it was the best way to have support but mainly because the store assistant couldn’t assist me with the question I had. Support, eh…a really polite script spoken by a FAQ Troubleshooting AI.If you have any sort of issue, with any device, just hard reset it. That is their go-to, first swing advice for EVERY problem I have encountered. I asked if that is their general go-to solution, the person I was speaking with confirmed. HomePod issue? Screw your ENTIRE smart home setup, reset the HomePod and see if that works. iPhone issue? Reset it! Asking any question that isn’t commonly asked, EG. Account specific, or anything more specific than “for iPhone(etc.)” is similar to speaking to a help bot. They’re very nice, yes. But this is the only support I’ve ever spoken to that has not presented a “recap” of my statement that conveyed understanding, and solution. Maybe it’s the forced recaps, possibility of managing multiple chats at once, or *Human’s* need for coffee for heaven’s sake, I don’t know. What I do know, is Apple hardware is the best on the market. Apple support, Care+ is an excellent idea. IDEA. It doesn’t deliver the greatness that Apple’s self-set standard expresses. NO SUPPORT!In the preview video, it shows that Chat Support is available within this App. No, no it’s not (not for everyone)! My error/issue is not listed anywhere on the App or the Apple/iTunes website! I found a very important error within Apple ID and billing addresses. I’ve contacted Apple so many times now about this issue (and similar billing issues in the past) and contacted Apple on many different platforms about my issue and no help! I am unable to call Apple about my issue either and I cannot continue anything until the internal error I found in Apple ID has been corrected. Useless and unhelpfulStaff are polite but unprofessional. They took my money for an unauthorised transaction. I don’t have the product. They won’t refund my money (even though the game company support my claim for a refund). Apple support won’t explain why they won’t refund my money. They won’t switch me through to a manager or escalate the complaint. They won’t put the “denial of my claim in writing”. They won’t put anything in writing but my claim number. Used to be so good! Avoids helping any way they can.All the cards I’ve tried have always been declined, requiring constant corrections even though my billing information never changed. Even my default card was declined for no explained reason. Attempts to change this went nowhere as apple decided that my password was suddenly incorrect, requiring several new passwords over the course of two years, and even then my cards and passwords were still invalid. Watch ‘tell us what’s happening’ doesn’t allow selection of watch as deviceWhen I select my watch under devices, I am given a list of options and tell us what’s happening. None of the options matched my issue so I selected ’tell us whats happening.’ After describing the issue, the following screen lists all devices EXCEPT watch, and a device or option has to be selected to move to the next step. Had to select drop off repair for damage even though device is not apparently damaged and works otherwise (probably software on swim exercise) to get an appointment, hopefully can meet with Genius staff instead of just dropping off.Version: 4.7

WHERE IS THE HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT - BE WARNEDRecently I made a purchase online using Apple Pay, at the end of the transaction I was told that the payment was unsuccessful, knowing that I had sufficient funds and that I had used Apple Pay many times in the past I tried again and again but without success so I tried to pay just with my visa direct but it still would not go through, I then checked my credit cards to discover that the card tied to Apple Pay had authorised FIVE payments without any secondary checks with me, as the payments were shown with my card provider as pending I tried to cancel them only to be told that this couldn’t be done as payment with a credit card was a guaranteed payment, so Apple Pay let me down, my card provider let me down and it was left to me to sort out, eventually I got the store to reimburse me it seemed that there was a problem with their modem going offline but at the end of the day an unsuccessful payment is exactly that and if I was told it had not gone through then I should have been safe in the knowledge that my money was safe when in fact it was far from it thanks to the incompetence of Apple and my card company..Version: 4.6.1

Useful is you own the product you want Support with.If you want to ask questions about a product your considering buying, don’t even bother. No matter how hard you try, it will always ask you for a serial number. I was unable to ask a question about an Apple Watch which is really annoying. If you own the device, it is much easier and most staff know how to help and what they’re talking about. They don’t take long to connect and are very nice. Apple support treats customers differentlyBought a pair of headphones from an O2 store, and when the case stopped working, took it back for them to fix/repair it. They referred me back to Apple who was not close to where I live. I complained to O2 but nothing was done as they couldn’t verify I bought that specific device from them as it doesn’t have an IMEI. When I finally took to Apple, the manufacturer, I was told in store that if I was to buy it directly from apple, I would’ve gotten the AirPods replaced but because it was from a third party company they couldn’t do it. I have an apple device, it’s not something from a different brand. Been trying to get this sorted as apple now wants to charge me £70 for something that should be fixed for free. The AirPods case was checked in store and it was not something I did. Spoke to apple support on this app where the only option was to charge me. Extremely disappointedThe app is straightforward to use and log in a case for repair properly. However, the only option for repair is to contact Apple by phone which I tried, but they never picked up the phone. I was on vacation and The closest Apple store is in another country! Since Greece has tons of tourism during summer, how come here is no Apple store nearby? I tried to look for alternatives ( email, live chat) but there is none! I was trying for 2 days to no avail while my first year warranty active (and expiring in 3 days) but zero support from Apple. The problem remains and my warranty is about to expire. I can’t sign in my Apple ID on my MacBook.Usually I don’t write reviews but rather give ratings, I’ve been using the Apple support and they’ve been doing great so far (no lies). I contacted the support as usual and these great women attended to me but couldn’t get the problem fixed... after hours of trying I was told that I’ll be redirected to the engineering department that’ll help with that after safe booting and all... do you know what the department did when I was redirected? Keep ending my conversation before it even started 😂😂 I guess they couldn’t help me out but instead of stressing they kept on putting me off.. Wish I could give zero starsAfter paying for apple care for one and a half years, I went into the store to get a new phone to replace my broken one. I was told apple had flagged my phone and i had to send my broken phone to apple in order to get a new one. Workers also told me to use the support app because it would only take 1-2 days to get my phone. It’s been over 2 days and apple has not even shipped my phone. Images sent via the chat are not viewable by support repsIt's a bit of a silly bug, but if you are chatting with Apple Support using this app, and use the function to send/attach images from your photo library, the support rep (in my experience over numerous chats now) is not able to view it. They all say that they're not able to open it. I have a suspicion that the app is sending the images in HEIF, and the backend platform that the support reps use to carry on the chats simply cannot view HEIF images. I've been asked by some reps to send images in JPEG or PNG format, but the app doesn't give any option to choose the format as far as I can see. So either the backend needs to be updated to be able to view the images that this app is sending, or the app needs to be updated to convert images into an appropriate format before they are sent..Version: 3.3.3

What a surprise…Well well , I had a feeling this was a fake app when I contacted them through the app to report a problem and the message set up was not quite right . Long story short it was a bot messaging me not a person and the big give away was the messages was not coming through on I message just normal sms. I have since tried to report this app to apple and guess what there is no record of me ever downloading it. I’ve got the receipt number on my phone to prove it . Unable to successfully update or access this app for MONTHSFor months, this app on my ipad mini has continually displayed the symbol to update the app. I click the app, it cycles through loading a supposed update, only to immediately again display the upload symbol on the app. It doesn’t seem to matter if I attempt these updates multiple times a day, it never seems to take effect. Due to the update symbol appearing, it is impossible to actually open and use the app, only click it to have it cycle through the non-effective update. As a work-around, I tried generically having having all apps ‘shake’ to display the ‘x’ to delete the app. When attempting to delete the app with intent to reinstall it, a message displays: Delete “Apple Support”? Deleting this app will also delete its data. Cancel/Delete. Folks should not have their historical Apple Support app data deleted just to reinstall an app clearly having ongoing refresh issues. Of note, none of my other apps have refresh issues and behave normally. I’m curious if others have been experiencing these same issues and if Apple is reaching out to customers unable to access and/or successfully refresh their installed Apple Support app, via the app itself? Well, Apple support is down the drainI purchased the latest and greatest, bells and whistles, flagship heavy weapon iPhone. There were some issues with it. Used this app, which then diverted me to their iMessage service. 45 minutes of texting with someone (their name is never given) they couldn’t provide a solution so they transferred me over to a low tier agent (poor spelling, grammatical errors, weird wording, clearly not native English) just to give me absolute garbage and unrelated solutions. I asked them to log a complaint. This was ignored and they were adamant of calling me over the phone instead just so they don’t have to log a complaints ticket. Sad to see that even Apple goes down on this route. Native English agents to sort out anything on the ‘have you trued turning it off and back on again’ level. Everything else, you are sent to the cheap, and poorly trained Indian support. Good luck from that point on, you are pretty much on your own. Funny how some of the best engineers and techs are Indian yet companies like Apple don’t want to spend money on them and contract the low tier ones. Horrible serviceGreat concept for an app, but the Apple “techs” are useless. I’ve asked at least four to help reset my watch and they all refer me to an article on how to reset the watch that we have tried multiple times, even after I tell them that we have tried that and it doesn’t work. Poor Interface IntegrationI had an issue attempting to change my Apple ID on my iPhone. The system would not allow me to update any old application, asking me for the password to my old Apple ID that I had deleted through Apple. When looking though the listed browser options for “apple customer support”, I noticed that there was an Apple Support application in the iPhone App Store. Unfortunately, when navigating the application designed for support, there is no easy option to communicate with a support rep, and my technical issues are not listed. With the application on the phone, any attempt to scout the Apple website for support needs will automatically redirect me to the home screen of the support application. Phone and service sucksSo I think I’m getting a 2000 dollar phone with all the bells and whistles No all I’m getting is a copy of my kids iPad and all their games and poke something cards . Disrespectful and nonsensicalMy first experience with support felt like i was talking to a 12 year old. I had to repeat things I said several times and none of the messages made any sense. The second support person (i called with my mother as it was a problem on both of our phones) had repeatedly referred to me as “they” “their” “them” after my mother had only referred to me as “she”. i called the support person out and they denied it. incredibly disrespectful. what was the reason for that? UPDATE: After meeting with several associates over the past 2 weeks i’m officially done with apple support. this is ridiculous. i’ve been trying to link my applecare to my apple ID and it gives an error every time. Apple Support has really gone downhillI have never gotten good support from this app. Most of the time the only solution has been wipe everything off the phone and reinstall. The only time I fell for that trick I lost years of my health data because the support tech never checked if it was being backed up. It wasn’t despite being checked in iCloud settings. I haven’t had GPS data in the workout app on watch for years, or my photos haven’t synced to my Macbook since Big Sur upgrade. The only suggestion they give me is wipe everything and reinstall. Never real help or even comprehension of the actual issue. The issue is the trick Apple plays. They make this stuff appear to work so well for a while you become reliant on it. Then when it stops working (and it always does) it’s such big let down..Version: 4.2

Very Poor Chat SupportThe app itself is pretty easy to use. Much easier to navigate than the website. However, the chat feature is very bad. You do not have the time stamp of your chat. And you do not even know if the advisor is still on line or not. An advisor left the chat in the middle without any sign and I have been left waiting and waiting. When I try to text back again, it just said “We're waiting for someone to become available. You'll receive a message when they're ready.” And this message is repeating itself after a while. Incompetent, lying bunch of buffoonsBy far the worst customer service of all the customer services online. Not only are they incapable of given the correct information in terms of the functionality of the iCloud and devices, they take no responsibility for any more functions, blame you for things that are clearly network related and on top of that blatantly lying. Trying to get any answers or any resolution is completely useless. This stuff are not educated at all as to the functionality of the organisation no are they competent enough to give any real advice. This so-called senior advisors unable to provide any real support aside from telling you how there is nothing they can do about the issue and there is no one else in the whole organisation that can help. Pretty insane to accept this kind of low quality support after spending thousands of pounds over the course of 15 years on their products. They don’t understand loyalty they don’t understand help, heck they don’t even understand how to talk to you and to read the actual wards you write. Absolutely appalling..Version: 4.2.1

Access Apple Support from iPhone 7+Try to access apple support while on Verizon cellular data connected to internet Warning that need to be connected to WiFi or cellular data network go turn off airplane mode. It is not on. I don’t have access to WiFi. Is Verizon cellular data not recognized? I try to update Apple support app get warnings iOS 14.0 or higher is needed to update. I am not on iOS 14.0 I want to update my iPhone to the current update but for whatever the reason that is not possible on Verizon cellular data mode and once again WiFi is required. So I can’t download update because I don’t have WiFi. So I can’t possibly gain iOS 14.0 or higher to be able to download update for apple support so I can ask them why can’t my apple iPhone 7+ update anything to do with apple and why is WiFi needed? Isn’t Verizon cellular data a form of WiFi. Terrible customer serviceOpen weekends but understaffed. Some departments aren’t available, long wait to speak to customer service representative and then advised 30 minutes to speak to a supervisor. If you’re unable to handle the call volume, you should either increase your staff or not open on weekends. I ordered a battery exactly 2 weeks ago. Was advised it would get confirmation 3-4 days after. I called on the 4th day, advised they changed the service standard to 3-5 days and to call 1 day later. I waited until today to call, and got the spiel about the department who could answer the enquiry was not in, and to speak to a supervisor was 30 minutes. Which at that point I gave up..Version: 2.1

Keyboard will not appear!I’m trying to contact Apple Support for an issue with my iMac and the scanner won’t scan my serial number and the app won’t let me enter it manually because there is no keyboard. Who, 7 minutes into the chat wants to throw in a free ID check, thanks for every single thing, wasting so much time, knows nothing, reading something of the screen takes minutes, puts u on numerous holds comes back with absolutely nothing. Great for ordering support but stinks for follow upHave a computer repair and nearly impossible to find out the status, been over a week in apple store and they send u a link to web support which is blank page or “error message” saying cant update. This is badNeeded support due to a sudden bright background on my Apple Watch, looks like an LCD rather than an OLED, attempted restarting and resetting my Apple Watch although this issue persisted. I checked for updates but my Watch was already up to date. The Apple Support app let me book a call back at 11:45PM BST, well past my bedtime with early meetings the next day. So sick 😷 of AppleI can’t remove my old email address for my iPhone. My account has been locked every since I gotta this iPhone 📱 12 mini and it’s has been nothing but a headache 🤕 to me every single day since I purchased it. I’ve called Apple 🍎 support I don’t know 🤷🏾‍♀️ how many times and I been to the AT&T store over a dozen times and my problem hasn’t been fixed. Since day 1 of my purchase. They just add another email address on top 🔝 of my old email that I can no longer access with was crazy to me. When I just wanted them to remove my old email address. But, I’m paying hundreds of dollars a month for a phone with very limited access. I can’t update anything because of my old email. Utterly unhelpfulDear Apple, I hate you so much. You make it impossible to connect with someone and get real help. I looked online for about 20 minutes trying to find someway I could chat with someone online about my issue, but to no avail. FumingAbsolutely fuming with Apple , I installed a game that had a glitch on it and it wasn’t until I’d wasted my money on the game I realised I couldn’t get any further I wrote to the company who helped with the matter of the game , I got in touch with apple to try and claim a refund, try being the operative word , I keep getting refused, I have spoke to different members of the team that say they have tried to put in a request for a refund which was also refused ??
