It’s so AI controlled you have a win streak to then suffer a terrible loss streak against players with much weaker sides (lower player level) the game basically controls how much you progress. Sure it dishes out 50/50 win loss ratios so everyone gets to stay in the game but when you’ve built a great level team over time you do deserve to succeed. Players have also discovered by filling the 532 team line up with borrowed ball hogger (player type) a volleyball style approach is almost unbeatable rendering the other 12 formations useless, the game becomes a snooze bore fest. ✓ Game mechanics aren’t consistent.Prepare to be defeated by the game’s mechanics. I’ve learned that you need to pick your target by pressing on the player when two players are near each other... otherwise they let the ball go to the defender almost always... 1. Cross passes are a broken mechanic in-game. You can get the ball all the way across the goal and it will be a goal 95% of the time. The farther the cross the less the defense seems to respond. 2. When playing a lower ranked player or someone with players of a lower level, your players are nerfed and do stupid things constantly. 3. Passing is ridiculous, it seems players don’t have a desire to go after the ball and will stick to their field positioning more than anything. Such as; if your player has the lead on the ball but is out of position and you pass it towards the players *indicated* direction, they almost always back off and lose the ball. 4. Player *indicated* direction is a lie, they don’t always run the way they’re heading, especially if you try to get them to pursue the ball behind a defender. 5. I enjoy the missed tackles that was patched into the game, but when the ball comes loose, all of the aforementioned mechanics come in to play. I’ve lost games because my players simply don’t respond to the ball, even when they are closest to it. When you get to Infinity you gain 24 stars for a win but get docked 40 if you lose, meaning you can quickly fall down the ladder you’re climbing. Most of what I say now is based on my experience in playing the game but for some reason ( which would probably be put down to your skill) you can go on a 10 game losing streak although you haven’t changed your style of playing or your players. Your players may run longer than usual or fail to pass when they usually would. I’ve gone from having just over 4,000 stars back down to under 3,000 which I find strange and nearly made me quit the game. ✓ MediocreThe game is ok. At the start it is quite easy and the game is really enjoyable. You whiz past arena one and 2, and have a great time. Then you hit arena 3. It gets a lot harder. In my experience. Here are the flaws about the game: 1. When you play the games for some reason your player will just run, even though they clearly have a defender sliding in on them. You should have a pass button. 2. The keeper will let in a goal going over their head. Then on the other side they save a world class shot. They don’t run out instead they come a few yards leaving the goal wide open for them to score. 3. The players stats really don’t matter. An infiltrator 20+ speed will be outpaced by a guard with like 10 speed. And vice versa an infiltrator will bodied by a guard. It gets annoying when you pass your player through on goal and they either don’t move get out paced or run the other direction even though there clearly are white dots stating the direction of where they are running. 4. When you pass to a player the opponent defender will run through them. 5. A 7 height will win a header over a 10 height. 6. The players have no sense of direction. They will run backwards towards the goal with open space in-front of them. They will receive the ball through on goal and pass backwards. They will pass backwards or any other direction than the one with a player in a perfect place to score. ✓ Huge improvement but needs moreI absolutely love this game and it is a huge improvement compared to score hero (which was a disaster). But one thing I would like to point out is the referees. Every time the other team gets a free kick, I take a screen shot of the point where they got tackled and I can see that my player clearly touched the ball. I would ask if u could either improve this or add a little feature where u could object with the ref and he could check artificial refiree or something. ✓ So much potential!!!This game would be so fun, it is a really unique and amazing concept. It’s fun and and addictive but it lacks and can leave you with so much anger. The biggest problem is the A.I. It is horrible, they will usually never pass the ball, or just try to shoot it from a ridiculous spot. ✓ Good idea just horrible madeThe mechanics in this game are absolutely shocking, the players have iqs of a 4 yr old. the passing options are made so that it is virtually impossible to make a pass. Whenever a player has space they decide to shoot from 50 yards out. There is a 1/10 probability of actually making a fair tackle, and even if you do get the ball in a very good tackle it is still put down as a foul. defenders cannot mark and just stand still whenever defending a through ball. not to even mention that players won’t even move when your in possession player makes a cross. and whenever they do have possession they either run straight out of play or just into an opponent player. the goalkeepers, no matter the rating, level or stats will always concede goals right next to them and then make an absolute world class save from the edge of the box. A few other glitches I have noticed is that when you play a game against someone, it can sometimes be lenient towards one player, even biased, I have seen this happen. Sometimes, when one player puts in a good challenge, they give away a free kick or penalty. Yet, if the other player puts in a challenge with the same magnitude, the referee will say play on. I also noticed that it can take a lot of time to upgrade a player, particularly when it gets to level 3, as it is happening to me. ✓ So fixed it makes you laughBasically you know how a game is going to finish within about 20 seconds of it starting, and there is only a few ways; 1) your players act completely ridiculous, they run away from the ball, are slow and leave gaping holes in defence, the match will be over in seconds, you are either then benefactor or this or on the receiving end of it. 2) you dominate the opponent in every way, are 1-0 up for most of the way and in the last 10 seconds they will magically be through on goal as your defence parts like the Red Sea to let them score. During the penalty shootout you 100% lose and the goalkeeper will go the right way every single time. Again, you either are the benfactor of this or on the receiving end. So yeah, that’s how this game goes, you won’t find anyone with a win % above 60 because if you get that high the game will put you against AI and you will go on a massive losing streak to get you back down to 45-50% Also, tournaments. You are required to pay in order to enter but then you are always matched with rank 10 players and the match is over in seconds because it’s impossible to win. How this game has 4 stars is beyond my understand, it has to be bots reviewing the game because as scripting and match fixing goes, this is the worst game I have ever played, and I mean ever. You have to progress to get skills etc and compete at higher levels...this is good. But your team will play differently from one game to the next...you might have all your players getting in great positions one game, receiving passes cleanly and everything flowing well...the next, your players bunch up in midfield and don’t go anywhere, or you’re only given options to pass where no player is free, or your players never get forward for a pass...you quickly realise which games you will end up losing. I won one of the tournaments once...got a big prize with lots of skill points which improved my team hugely...and back n the league, that same team then went on a losing streak playing worse than before they were improved. I have managed to look past all the horrible reviews and give it a try but sadly I must only agree when people say it’s all luck. Some games I press the tackle button at the optimal time to tackle but my defender waits too long and makes a horrible tackle and fouls the other guy. The other team then wins because of my defenders stupidity and I’m questioning why I’m still wasting my time on this pathetic game. ✓ Glitches and admitted cheatsThe game is really fun at first, but then you start to experience glitches and cheaters (admitted by the developer). Once you get up to a certain level, you need bucks to play a competitive level. If you lose, you lose those bucks. It becomes very frustrating when your player won’t run for a pass in order to turn it over and keep it close. I emailed the app and they asked for video evidence of a situation where the game glitched and my players all just stood there. Melissa, from First Touch Games, said she didn’t see anything wrong with it and implied that’s how soccer is played. This is when I realized why the game is the way it is. People like Melissa are their support. Play it for 10 minutes, but don’t waste your time with packages and especially don’t spend your own money. But once you get to arenas 9 / 10 / Infinity you will yo-yo between those arenas for a long time. I have not spent anything on in-app purchases in the game so my players are all levels 7-8, whereas the players I’m coming up against are level 9-10. The difference is huge. How hard is it for the matchmaking software to match you with someone with a similar star rating or team level to your own? It gets so frustrating playing people who’s teams are miles better than yours and then you can’t even create a decent chance or keep possession for very long. You just keep getting promoted and then relegated within a few wins/losses. Down to 10secs and the opponent scored and my player was running down the right (all the way on the right of the field but aligned with the goalie area) and instead he looks back and gives me the only option of passing back to my defender. Another instance where AI was bad, I passed the ball to my striker but in front of him as I was trying to give him a through ball but he instead jumps like 20 ft and gets the ball. Also the GK on pks is bad. I shoot down the middle sometimes and the opponent picks the spot for his gk to jump (he picked top right) but somehow he saves it down the middle with his toes even tho you can see it hit just air, it’s like there was an invisible wall. Also one more thing, the game is addictive and I get you want people to buy in app purchases but when you don’t have money then there is nothing to do, it’s so easy to lose it all but I have to watch an ad just to get $100. Even the shooting, I have been given the opportunity to make the same exact shot in multiple matches. Despite this, to my own astonishment the game somehow generates different shots completely. One time it will curve right into the keepers hands while the other will not curve in the slightest. Enhancing this flaw is the goalkeepers themselves. My keeper is level 2 and I have been placed against players with level 5 keepers, and the element of luck are present among both; even if the shot was rolling at walking speed along the ground, both keepers would find a way to concede every once in a while, which is completely wrong for a ‘football game’. I feel the insanely flawed tackling system needs no introduction, as it is probably the most luck-driven and least skill-based aspect of any game I have EVER played on the AppStore, and that comes from the bottom of my heart. If you think I am wrong play the game, and I guarantee you will feel the same way. Since that change, I am now stuck in a constant rotation of promotion to level 8, maybe win 1 or 2 in the next level, and then relegation back to 7. Rinse. Repeat. Upgrades to players are very slow to come by. Getting from level 7 to 8 initially was somewhat quick which didn’t allow me to build any players up to 8. But, the way their algorithm is set up, it has become not a fun game anymore. Score Match is just one big ball of rage inducing gameplay that forces you to calm down after only 2 games of playing. There are number of problems but the biggest I will address is the AI. Every time I get the ball, I am forced to do a pass I would never want to do, by either turning around, or playing an impossible ball that would never reach its target. I loose the ball countless amounts of time due to the AI forcing me to do things I don’t want. The second issue is tackling. One tackle? Is that it? Even if you don’t do a leg breaker and you give a free kick or penalty, you tackle the opponent and immediately give them the ball as they collect it straight after the slide. This system can be fixed by allowing standing tackles and allowing the player to choose where to slide and if they mess it up they should be booked, giving the game more immersive feel. Also why does packages require so many gems to open, but the gems I get back are next to nothing. I don’t like pay to win games, and by giving no gems in packages, only to require high amounts back, is a broken system. The last point is the goalkeepers. You never get to the ball first, you won’t tackle when you’ve requested a player to and your players won’t react to the ball as fast. In football any underdog team can win as it’s all about teamwork. But in this game who ever has the most upgraded players, will win. You also don’t have much say on the tackling. Your player will get the ball cleanly but a free-kick will be awarded. Matches feel overly unbalanced, I can be playing opponents the same level as me and I’ll be winning 10+ matches in a row, usually I wouldn’t complain as winning is fun, but it works the opposite way too. There are days I can lose 10+ matches in a row and this is assisted by the game itself. Its prominent that matches are in favour of one player each time. There will always be a team that will get free kicks for every tackle made on them and the other team will barely get any free kicks. Theres always a team that the linesman completely ignores and gets no offsides whilst the other team will constantly be given offsides. It just makes the gameplay feel unbalanced and illegitimate, which takes the satisfaction away from winning as you feel like the game helped you. The problem is that at a certain level the game rewards negative play. This issue doesn’t exist in less strong sides as the defensive players can’t dominate. It’s hit a point now that everybody plays 5-3-2 stacked with defensive players in levels 10 and 10+. It’s really dull. The competitions v lower ranked teams are far better than the leagues as you see much greater use of running play by less strong sided. (I play a weakened side of running players in these). This needs to be tweaked. The game should reward exciting play… not one touch route-one to a hammer or bulldozer. Each attempt is at least 100 gems (and sometimes 200 or more gems). Ever since that update, never have I ever won on the first two attempts. I had more than 4000 gems and now less than 50. The bots, irrespective of the level, always find ways to defeat you. Try observing this when you’re playing against an equal leveled or one-level-below opponent, especially in these challenges and tournaments. When you manage to score the first goal, there is literally no way your defense will manage to stop the opponent scoring the equalizer. They always find ways to have 3+ strikers in front of the goal after I score my first goal. Believe me I tried with so many combinations and trying different players in different positions. AND my team happens to do comparatively well in the Arena. It’s these challenges and cups where they opportunity to mint money. You get frustrated and keep re-attempting and eventually use up all your gems. Finally, you’re tempted to buy gems. Never do that. Particularly noticeable when you’re in arena 9 or 10, you come against people with maxed out players. That’s not the problem, as obviously people have invested more time (or paid) to get players with a higher level. The problem (unexpectedly) is with your own team. My team is 7/8s, and I often come up against 9/10s in arena 10. Clearly that is going to be a challenge. But what becomes apparent is that your players immediately drop 100 IQ points. They run the wrong way, forget the ball, stop running into space, bunch up. Essentially it means not only does your opponent have a player stats advantage, but the game is helping them win by inhibiting your players. It’s a common observation sadly when you’re at those higher arenas. The game was fun, but at this stage it’s a bit pointless. ✓ Too obvious is made to make you looseThe base game by itself is pretty fun, simple and intuitive, the progression system is as expected, you unlock “cards” and after a certain amount of cards collected you can upgrade the player or unlock different things. ✓ Inconsistent game, good potentialWhen I first played the game I was delighted with the freedom you had to create your own team and play in your own style. This changed after a some time playing. Sometimes my attackers will make intelligent runs, will know where to position themselves and my defenders seem invincible. Other times I cannot seem to string more than 2 passes together without the opponent dispossessing me, and I get outrun when going for every ball. I have had a 15 game winning streak but recently I have barely won a game. I have a lvl 8 intruder (39 speed)who is constantly outrun but guards and explorers - my level 7 guards have 22 speed and the disparity in pace is shocking. The game forces you to play a certain way and some people have figured it out and seem almost unbeatable. Once you hit a certain level (arena 5-6-7 onwards), it is impossible for your players to improve without playing literally THOUSANDS of games or paying for upgrades. The people who obviously paid for their team have a HUGE advantage over everyone else. But the actual good players can’t win without spending money on the game and sending their players to max level. There is no way to develop in division 10. Its impossible to get boxes and you have to fall to div 9 so you can keep upgrading your team. How to fix : make the tournaments player level based or make players earn their way into tournaments. You can also just make it so tournaments involve smaller groups. Make the highest level players play each other. It is impossible for level 6-7 players to beat level 9-10 players. Same goes for lower levels. Always in the gem tournaments from div4-10 people in division 4 would have no chance AT ALL because there are players maxed out that play for literally nothing except their gold medal. They don’t need the cards they don’t need the bucks cause it is a small amount anyway even if you win the tournament. Even me who is in division 10 have no chance against them. ✓ Horrible and pointlessThis game isn’t even a game. It’s a little 2 minute video that leaves little options that make you think you’re running your team when in fact you have no control. I liked it at first but that’s just because it was in my favor since I was a new user but the second I actually started playing consistently I lost every game. The keepers are incompetent choosing to charge oncoming players leaving themselves vulnerable to an easy goal by your opponents. When they do attempt a save 9 times out of 10 it will be knocked to an opposing player giving them the perfect opportunity to score a rebound goal I myself have scored countless goals this way. Upgrades don't seem to make goalkeepers any less incompetent either with my level 5 keeper conceeding 2 goals in quick succession against a team where their keeper is only level 2. I didn't think it was possible but they've made the tackling system worse with the update having the ability to not have to wait between tackles is a welcome change but the players still grossly mistime tackles giving away penalties and free kicks like they're going out of fashion. However, you can’t control when your players pass, leading to them infuriatingly running into obvious tackles and losing the ball. When you lose the ball, the game is infuriating. Your players attempt tackles at stupid times, conceding free kicks, and with only one tackle every few seconds, once you’ve pressed the button there is nothing you can do to prevent toe opponent scoring. On breakaways they always choose to shoot from outside the box instead of running in a bit farther, and I lose the ball multiple times a game because my players choose to pass when no one is open - doesn’t matter what the player type is. Also had a hilarious PK loss where the opposing player just tapped the ball down the middle and my goalie put his hands up after a moment pauses, lifted his foot, and got megged. It was actually funny but indicative of the serious deficits in AI. The slide tackle function is terrible - it should be a button that you can hold when you want to tackle and then gets recharged over some time once you release or do a tackle. You play against teams with objectively worse (lower ranked) players and they out perform your better players. ✓ Absolute garbageDo yourself a favour and don’t bother. If the teams I’m supposed to be playing are controlled by other players an not AI then I’m the Queen of England! My team decides to try and dribble through 4 opposition players with no success. Pass to my players and they turn and runaway from the ball! My team has a clearance and my only option it to kick it to a man marked by three players even though I’ve got several unmarked players. ✓ Has PotentialThis game has good potential. The attacking side of the game is fun and relies mostly on the skill of the user and the rating of the player as it should. However, the defensive side to the game needs a lot of work. The current system is very flawed and needs to be completely rethought. There is no control over actual tackling, only control over when your players can attempt a tackle and even if by some miracle your player manages to tackle without fouling, which happens less than half the time, the likelihood is the ball will end up in the oppositions possession straightaway. This means despite the fact that you tackled fairly you will still not have possession and will have lost the ability to tackle for a little while. This means whether or not you concede is only then down to your opponent not messing up as you watch on, helpless. All in all there is potential here for a very fun game but it needs some serious work as at the moment succeeding in this game relies 90% on pure luck..JededgeVersion: 1.08

✓ Addicting but needs major improvements (especially in the later game)It’s a really fun game to work your way up and build your team. I’m now in division 10 which didn’t take me too long to get there but now I’m stuck in a limbo between division 9 and 10. If you don’t have an insanely quick striker then you’re stuffed. All tactics go out the window at this level it’s just a punt up field and pray your level 10 intruder or speedster gets on it and wins a penalty or free kick. Insanely frustrating when I’m actually trying to play good football but every game I’m losing to them winning penalties or free kicks or just hitting the ball up the pitch and praying. Not only that my players are only level 6 and some level 7 if you don’t spend money then you’re also stuffed as everyone division 8 upwards has level 8+ players that are quicker, stronger and ridiculous in every way that they clearly bought. The game just isn’t fun anymore. When no matter how you change your game to adapt or how you play to your players strengths or how tactically you want to play everyone has the same play style and it’s really boring. If you can’t beat them join them but I don’t want to spend copious amounts of money on a mobile app to just win every game by kicking it to a fast player that I achieved with unsatisfying and illegitimate means. ✓ I have no chanceI have played 2000 games of score match and am currently playing in division 9 with my team of four level 7 players and seven level 6 players and while I love this game, there is one re occurring problem. Every second of third game I play, my opponent has a team filled with level 8 or 9 players which obviously proves troublesome for me. I swear atleast 7/10 of their goals are scored by corners or just kicking it into space for a striker to run onto and ofcourse I’m totally defenceless because their stats such as height, speed and strength are just so much higher than mine. I’ve lost many games due to this and it’s not like I can just replace a player or try a new formation. I just played my first event, which cost 120 gems of which I have 1200, I only won 1 game. 1 opponent possessed a team equal to mine while the others LITERALLY HAD A TEAM PF MAX 10 PLAYERS!!! I just spent 120 gems on thats event and yet it proved to be an absolute waste. Not because I wasn’t good enough at the game, but because all the others teams goals were scored in manners I simply could do nothing about due to their stats being overwhelmingly higher than mine. I like this game but I’m giving it a 1 star as I believe this problem needs to be addressed. ✓ Learn the rules of the gameScore match is very enjoyable, until you retaliate just how flawed it is. The games works on a basic rule level, if the player falls over its a foul. If you put yourself in a goal scoring opportunity, the game will wither make you turn around for shoot from a distance. Defenders are faster then speedsters, if you are 1 up, you won’t be able to tackle, and your players will just stand next to the ball without kicking it. The mechanics are terrible, and it’s obvious the creators don’t know the first thing about the football. There have been multiple times where a game is far too one sided to come down to skill level. You will find yourself in games which are impossible to win, because every time you give the ball to your winger they will run Into the defender, every time you do a through ball down the middle to your attacker they take the shot from the half way line, and some times they simply turn around. ✓ What a disappointmentSo I loved this app so very much. I would play it in the morning before starting my day. It was entertaining and fun. I know it is rigged to an extent just because you can’t have level 5 speedsters catching up with my level 9 speedster. Just shouldn’t happen. You can tell in a game when you know the ai is going to be doing a dang good job. When you get a streak going you know it will end at anytime cause they will not let you keep it for very long. ✓ Frustrating.The game seems to have a mind of its own and doesn't follow logic. No matter how much you upgrade your players, they still don't run where they're supposed to and the goalie isn't any better than his level 1 starting point. The new update and tackling is better in that you can pick who you want to tackle, but the timing is off. ✓ Has potential, very flawedThis game to begin with was good, a good fun game that continues the concept of the previous score apps. As I progressed through the stages it becomes very clear you either have to buy gems/currency or watch the ads after every game as player upgrades become increasingly expensive and then prevent you playing games in your current division. Another huge element of this game is the crazy amount of luck you have to rely on, the tackling system is absurd, you tackle, with what most players would be red carded for and whether you win the ball or not you lose the right to tackle for a period of time, why? You could instead wait for the right time to tackle and choose a standing tackle ( what’s one of those ) or swipe in a direction to tackle and if you foul the player lose your ability to tackle. The other huge flaw is the decision making of players, a ball played centrally and you have players in good positions turning into trouble or get shown to be making a run but decide they’ve had enough after 2 yards and change direction. Every single match in this one arena my players constantly make complete fools of themselves. The only MAJOR huge issue they need to change is making the game fair and equal. Throughout playing this game you will find a matter of the advantage of the game towards you, or to your opponent. ✓ Typical pay to win car crash...The premise of the game caught my curiosity, I thought it would be an interesting concept, wrong. The game is plagued with unbalanced defending vs attacking mechanics that make the defending aspect of the game completely pointless. Your defenders will either slide the ball from the attacker to their teammate, or you’ll foul them. The attacking aspect of the game is completely and utterly luck based. If your player actually doesn’t run into a tackle or pass back to your defenders when one on one with the keeper, you might actually get a cross in and be met with a player to forgot how to jump. The game is purely a janky mess that tried to incorporate a system better suited to the player versus the Ai in the hopes that it can pump out more money from the consumer. Is it that hard to put a manual stop of the player during an attack so you don’t get cheated as your player without your control literally runs into being dispossessed? Is it that hard to have more than just under 11s defending of running aimlessly at the person with the ball? Seriously this game is a complete car crash and after investing time into the game to be met with a miserable, boring and downright laughably frustrating experience of loss after loss based on luck and who has the most disposable income, it led me to come to my senses, uninstall and find a more enjoyable and well designed game to replace this.
