✓ Caution-I’ve had saving issuesThis is the best way to play this game, IMHO. Ease of play and thematic flourishes make me want to play regularly. However- the game does not save properly. When you re-load a face to face game your scores will have changed. Very frustrating. I’m currently playing a turn based game on line. It saved a number of rounds successfully but the last time I logged in the game took my turn for me! Since there is no reset option, this is unsatisfactory. ✓ Very BuggyLove the game, and have played the cardboard version several times. I run into at least one instance per game (usually immediately following the final turn of the game) where it hangs indefinitely. The app needs to be completely restarted in order for the game to continue. I also have experienced on numerous occasions where the Play! button does not appear on the turn order screen. ✓ Interface needs workWhile everything looks beautiful, it isn’t a good layout of the game. You can’t see what your opponent has unless you click on them. Too much of the screen is taken up making the players layout look good an not enough is devoted to showing the other players. Game needs to play in landscape mode really with the sides of the screen showing all 4 players and what they have (at all times) without requiring you to click on them. ✓ Good game, issues with online offline and playThe game is fun, challenging enough for a newbie and plays nice. However, I have found some irritants. With the offline play: 1. Often, the game will not end properly. It freezes and does not display the final score. With the online play: 1. There is no notification on iOS when it is your turn, even though it's turned on everywhere. 2. You cannot start a new game and wait for people to join asynchronously. You have to wait on that screen until someone joins. There is never more than one or two players online at the same time so the wait can be very long. 3. When playing online asynchronously, coming back to the game on your turn, you don't see what the others have done. You only get the final result. 4. Once you've sent invites, you cannot cancel the invite. I have two games that have been stuck on invites for days. 5. When in a game, you can't forfeit. I thought the leave button was a forfeit so I feared using it and would kill the game instead. 6. It would be nice to see the flasks of the current player and have all the animations like the offline game (and the option to have it or not). 7. The longest asynchronous game is 14 days. It would be nice if you had no time limit options. 8. Some of the Asmodee iOS games have a robot replacement option. It would be nice to have that option: a. It would have its own delay before replacement (a game could be 14 days but a player could be replaced for that turn after 48h of inactivity to keep the game going). b. It would have the option for a turn replacement after the delay or a full game replacement. If Asmodee can fix these issues, then the game would get five stars..D3vk47Version: 2.03

✓ Problems w expansionWritten early July 2018 I just recently bought the expansion for potion explosion and am excited to be familiar w the new professors and spells. Two out of the four games I’ve played have been stuck where I had to quit. One wouldn’t let me fill my potions w either the wild ghost color or even using the wild potion drink. Another I used the professor that lets you exchange a color for a wild if your viles are full at end of turn. But after doing so, it didn’t change, and kept w the music and animation to insert into the ghost cantor w out being able to move on. I’m happy w the base game. Previous reviews mention a too tough AI and one of the updates mentions altering the AI so I wonder if the developers have gone too far the other way in trying to fix it. There seems to be no difference between the three levels of AI and apart from narrowly losing my second game I haven’t lost since after numerous subsequent plays (and believe me I am no board game genius lol). ✓ Literally unplayable on iPad nowI’m not sure who testsed this new release, or on what device/s, but what on earth were they doing? The playing area seems to be fixed so doesn’t fit on the screen of my iPad - I can’t see one of two potions, nor the flasks to store my marbles in! It is literally unplayable as a result. There is also no medium AI Player anymore, and the colour of your sigil gets changed as the game loads, but then goes back to normal in game mode (one of the things I CAN see!). Now the devs release a very buggy variant of this game that has SOOO many problems, I’m not even sure where to begin. You can’t log into your Asmodee account for playing online even though I can’t access my account just fine. Seems to just be the developer and their servers with the issue and they don’t publicly share their server status or anything to know if they’re just having an outage.
