✓ Account not working, nearly a month now!!I started this game a few years ago now, and it was awsome, but slowly with updates that are supose to improve the game / game play, has made it worst, hackers are rife, and are at will able to manipulate the game play and your data. I am currently VIP 10, which means I have paid a decent amount of money and time into this game, currently a large number of people are locked out and have lost data, ABI still hasn’t addressed this yet, I have emailed and messaged them on several occations but still no answer or reply, which has lead me to this review. Currently I am sat in a Clan that usually Ranks with in the Top 30 in the world, over half of us have zapped accounts,This isn’t exclusive just to our clan, there is a large number of other player having the same issue. If it wasn’t for the people within my Clan I would of walked by now, but not only have we all invested into this game, we have all invested in each other. Financially and as a community we are all at a lost. ABI: You need to sort this out, or you will be loosing some of your more avid suporters / players....Version: 5.0.19

✓ StomperHad hundreds of thousands of player points docked from my points total resulting in loss of power have spent money to upgrade ships , when playing 2vs2 I am constantly paired with a learner player who can’t progress past level 1 and I don’t get a ship drop so I don’t have any chance Whatsoever, watch a 30 sec ad and then it adds another 15 seconds, This is getting worse , with all of the overpriced rewards you offer I hate to think what the penalties are , you take real $$$$ and are not providing a reliable service at all..Version: 5.2.41

✓ Used to be great, now it’s a money-sucker.Ok devs, I’m not going to fall into your trap. I know you want us to buy everything with really money. Screw that. Why would I pay hundreds of dollars for a little space game on my phone? No one in their right mind is going to do that. This game is on the verge of being almost completely PAY TO WIN. I hate the PvP mode, which has almost no matchmaking fairness (which I’ve said multiple times on world chat and people agree). And I’ve looked through the reviews, few people are finding this game good for more than two days. I played this a couple years ago, but the past updates have pretty much ruined it. Why did you add “energy”? You offer vague explanations for in-game items, and what little things that have explanations are in terrible English and hard to understand. Mind you, I get that you might not operate in and English speaking region but please take into consideration what you are writing. I still have no clue how to get said “clan coins” or whatever those overpriced skin buyers are. Maybe you should consider the consumers when looking back at your game. ✓ Alien ShooterI have played this game for 18 months and spent coming up to £3000, I have enjoyed playing but the recent updates has turned the game into a money making game, they have introduced a ‘Report’ button so that you can tell on players who you think are a cheater or run hacked accounts, problem is the innocent get reported, their games are blocked (zapped) and you unable to play any part of the game that relies on connection to their servers, in practice your game is dead until ABI deem it time to unlock your game, no reasons or time limit for the ban given except your account shows several violations, no one who will listen when you show receipts. If you are thinking of down loading this game ‘do’ but be clear what you are getting..Version: 4.6.5
✓ Make sure the save button is workingI have been in contact with (Feedback for Alien Shooter) as my save button for the game hasn’t been working, It has finally been fixed but i have lost a lot of progress and wasted money. Feedback for Alien Shooter Haven’t been very helpful fixing this and not answering my question. now i don’t want this game anymore which is sad because it is a cool game but the communication with the IT people is very poor and unhelpful. ✓ Remove Last Update Special EffectsI really like this game. It’s been very fun to play and I like the challenge. Unfortunately, the last update has made it even harder to play. I don’t like how the ship flies in at the first when it goes big and then shrinks down to normal size. It places your ship at an awkward starting place and especially when you die and use a revival you lose control for the first second of game play which is crucial especially with bosses. And when playing with the terminator and reviving you got the full missile block from the bottom of the screen. Now you only get about 1/3 of the top of the screen because of the change in the animation of the ship at the beginning. I also don’t like that you can no longer update the terminator without passing level 80, even with crystals. I’ve been stuck at that level for months and can’t get pass the boss. I just used all my crystals to start at power up 4 and was going to update the terminator next. I like the idea of the new side ships but just added it up and it will cost $150 to get them all. ✓ Fix latest update pleaseNext review. This app just gets worse. Since the last update January 2023 my energy level goes from 100 (full) to zero after one game. I have emailed you and you haven’t responded and have not resolved the issues. Which there are many. I was going to subscribe and make some in app purchases but until you sort out the issues I will not be wasting my money. Game is good when works but it just gets systematically worse. ✓ Great game with incredible let downsThe game itself is actually fantastic. The thing I can’t get over is the ridiculous amounts of money that the creators ask to upgrade spacecrafts. It’s daylight robbery!! There’s also other factors in the game, such as purchasing boosters and they are not able to be used during the level you’ve created... ✓ Sort PVP outI’ve been playing this game a few months now and on the whole it’s good, the gameplay is good and there’s load of different things to do. However the one thing that completely ruins it for me is PvP, it seems every match I get an opponent with massively higher combat power so it’s completely unfair. There’s supposed to be CP leagues but these don’t seem to work so you’re playing against someone who has spent a fortune. And as others have said it seems to be weighted against players who don’t spend money, you will struggle along with rubbish ships because yours never dropped even when you opponent has conveniently got their best ship. ✓ No functional updatesThis game was fun and entertaining. But the lack of technical support in functional upgrades has destroyed it. For the last two months this game has been a glitch fest. I keep checking back to see if it’s fixed, but it isn’t. I feel the devs are ready to let the game go, but just haven’t announced it yet. Be wary if you choose to get into the game. You may enjoy it for a bit, but I’m guessing the glitches will get you. Also, pay attention to other reviewers commenting on the uneven player vs player, PvP, modes. One of the most irritating glitches in this game is the system will jump through 2 to 10 days in a single game play. This doesn’t allow you to complete quests or compete in events as they change with each change of day. It can go the other way as well, I have been on the same quest day for three days now which means no new quests, no new daily challenges, and worse, I cannot participate in survival PvP without using all of the crystals ( used for leveling up and other purchases ). I’m not against spending them, but 10 or more crystals to compete because they are not resetting with the game day or the real life day. This game has become very sad..Version: 5.4.43
✓ It was great but now...When I first downloaded this game it was phenomenal. So many different modes to play and ways to upgrade. Now it just keeps getting worse and worse after the updates. First off you need materials (crystals) to upgrade your more powerful ships. The only way to get those crystals are by paying an obscene amount of money or battling someone else for theirs. It used to be 7 crystals for a “super” battle and you had unlimited play. Now it’s 4 crystals and there is a cool down period that stops once you exit pvp mode. Not only do you need the crystals to upgrade ships you need them for opening chest to get different materials to upgrade your ships. It just seems Lomé the ya re doing everything in their power to make you pay $40 for 300 crystals to get a chance for the things you need to progress. You also need to spend money to move up into VIP. There are 12 levels of VIP. If I’m not mistaken you need to spend $100+ to get to VIP 12. This is starting to get ridiculous. Edit to review: it is nearly impossible to advance in the game without spending money. Especially with the skins that send obstacle to an opposing playing during PVP. Unless you pay for those upgrades it’s almost impossible to spend enough time on the game to acquire those upgrades. It keeps getting worse..Version: 5.2.3
✓ Great game but full of bugs - beware of loss of coin and stoneThe gameplay is awesome, but the recent bugs made stop playing. I lost a lot of progress and coins that I spent time earning. Every time I upgrade a ship or a drone game restarts, upgrade goes back to how it was before but coins and stones are consumed. I purchased a pack of stones for upgrade, lost them all, customer service promised a refund, but I didn’t get it. ✓ To app developersHi, I agree with all majority of other reviewers, the game is great-BUT...its only great until it’s suddenly not. From the beginning of the game I’ve not had the ability to play events-AT ALL, but still get offers for me to buy packs of tokens for the events though lol. That hasn’t bothered me too much because the game even without events is great, BUT I’ve paid A LOT of money on this game and I’ve never even once got to play in an event which is a real bummer. ✓ Problem with energy depletionI’ve been playing the game for a few years, I enjoy it, I’ve upgraded some of my ships and enjoy playing the player verses player games. I’ve not had a problem with this game until recently, So you start the game with 120 energy, When you play, it cost between 5 and 10 energy, so you can play a good few games before the energy runs out, and then you just wait for it to replenish itself, however, the last few weeks, my energy has depleted to zero after only playing one game…. Thought it might have been a bug but it continues to take all my energy, which is really annoying me now. I’ve looked to see if this is affecting other players and it turns out it is. ✓ Love this game but….Since I did the latest update, when I want to play another game in super league, and I have to watch an ad, either I hit “play now” to watch the ad, and just keep hitting it over and over and the ad never comes. OR the ad does play, but the game starts BEFORE the ad is even finished, I can hear it start, and I can hear my ship blow up because I can’t exit the ad yet. Not only does it bring my score down, but all my win percent. And another thing, when I play in the pvp arena, and make it to 6 I get put up against someone who CLEARLY pays to play, every time. I die. It’s like a set up. Also it use to be just 1 crystal to play in the arena and not it’s two. I also I think the game should be calculated to put you up against someone in games, with the same, idk what to call it, power? ✓ Getting worse every dayI’ve been playing this game for a couple of years now and there are endless glitches and faults. Instead of sorting these out, there are regular new features and updates coming out which are also flawed and glitchy. The developers need to sort out the problems first. These new features are all making the game much harder to play and far less fun. Only by spending hundreds of pounds each month can you compete against the ridiculous amount of hackers that ruin the game. I chat to many many genuine players who are all reaching the point of quitting the game and asking for their money back because it’s not being sorted. Finally, I have spent a lot of real money on ships etc, only to find update, after update, reducing its power leaving it useless without spending huge amounts more to upgrade it. ✓ Needs tweakingThis game is a lot of fun, but it gets one start because it forces you to spend money in order to fully complete. The S5 mission is nearly impossible for a couple of reasons - one, the ship is garbage and the levels are designed to be impossible. Even at max power it takes so long to kill anything because you have to hit the right spot on the enemies to do damage to them, despite your beam clearly hitting them. Two, 90% if the time that I make it past level 7, the game sits there and does nothing. The next level doesn’t load. The time just keeps ticking by. Other reasons this game caters to people who pay; daily requests often require you to make a purchase or participate in events that require crystals, the higher currency, which are nearly impossible to get without paying. Tournaments that first require you to login with social media, then cost gold every single time you play but only offers rewards to the 10 people who have paid the most money in that hour. Which are again requirements of the daily quests. Fix the bugs, stop forcing people to pay money if they want to enjoy the game, and get rid of the purple ship entirely..Version: 4.0.43

Every time an alien is killed the lag time is horrible and you die. It needs improvements immediately. As a VIP I already get unlimited shields and bombs and some spaceships so it’s so annoying when I get them in the daily spin instead of something useful like Supers, crystals or coins. ✓ It’s good, however...I’ve been playing it for about 4 months now. I like the game. There are different modes to make the whole thing not feel like the same over and over again. There is variety. However, when I play PvP (player versus player) I keep getting paired up against other players that are VIPs. I find it unfair. I’m not a VIP (a player that has made a purchase, the more a player spends, the better the benefits). They get advantages to begin with. A non-VIP can almost never win against a VIP. The game keeps track of everyone’s rankings most people on top are all VIPs. I think VIPs should play against each other within the medals/rankings and non-VIPs should play against each other like wise. Otherwise, the developers are forcing players to lose or buy. That doesn’t seem right, if one considers they are getting advertisement money from us. I see a lot ads during my playing time. Other players have mentioned the options for ships and crystals, etc are pricey. That is very true. One becomes a VIP-1 by spending 99¢, each 99¢ = 1 point. To get to VIP-12, one needs 2000 points. ✓ Good way to pass time and improve finger movement skillsI have downloaded this game out of curiosity last year, and I’m still playing it now during my break. It keeps my mind sharp although keeping calm after a loss has been a challenge. Love the difficulty levels and the concept of building a career within the game as time passes. PvP is the most exciting although most of the player power mismatches can be frustrating sometimes. I wish they’d fix that. ✓ No more free PVP survivalPlayed this game for years and not sure what’s happened recently, but you can no longer play PVP survival for free, or by watching a video, or by 4k/8k coins. It now only allows you to play by spending 4 crystals, which will no doubt increase after that game. It usually resets every day (it still displays the reset countdown) but hasn’t done for the last 3 days. Shame really as that’s all I played the game for after they increased the advert length to the ridiculous times they are, up to 2 minutes some are now. Usually play games when I have a spare few minutes, but this has been played less and less over the years due to the adverts taking more time than the game. Earning crystals and gems in order to progress in the game was already incredibly slow process, now they are changing game requirements almost daily making sure they push your progress backwards demanding to purchase more gems and crystals. ✓ Used to be goodOn a very greedy move during the pandemic, ABI thought they could rightly squeeze a lot of money out of those of us who have invested in the game and are playing more than ever. Instead of rewarding their faithful customers in these times of crisis, they treat us like easy money to cash! They changed all the systems making it impossible to progress in the game without huge money investment. PLUS - the game is full of unresolved bugs that keep adding up and make you loose points and acquired goods, or prevent you from getting resources. Instead of resolving them, they bring up new updates that impose more payments or ads than crash making you loose points and less time to play if not paying. Customer service doesn’t work. ✓ Good game but I game purchases are too priceyThis game is really fun and you are able to play without spending money but it would be nice if the other ships in the game weren’t $30 and $50, yes those are the prices, I’m sure the developer would make waayyyy more money dropping these to affordable prices. Way more people would buy(why do you think Walmart is so popular do you know how much they make a day?) for every 1 $30 purchase you could probably have like 20+ $5 purchases. Would be way more fun if I could enjoy the pay to play aspects too. UPDATE: the shield does nothing. You get a little shield thing you can select at the beginning of a level and all it does is lag out your game for like 2 seconds. It occasionally shows up, at random intervals, and just lags everything. It doesn’t even protects you I got hit with a middle and died. Also I’ve hit a level where I simply cannot beat it no matter what I do. It’s as though they designed it to only be beaten with the ships you have to buy, which are still way too pricey. UPDATE: the new update messed up the game. It’s now laggy constantly, no it’s not my phone it’s played this game perfectly fine till now also my phone is new, and if you try to resurrect by watching an ad the ad doesn’t resurrect you it just asks you to watch another ad and freezes. ✓ Greedy DevelopersThis game could be 5-star; and it used to be. It’s fun and very addictive. However, the developers are so focused on making money that they have ruined the game with their updates. Rather than fixing bugs, their updates add more features that attempt to coax players into paying real money to be able to complete the game. The worst update of which was the ENERGY UPDATE, that now requires players to pay energy to play single player, which used to be free. Players are given a set amount of energy each day, but must pay if they want to play endlessly, like before this update. Everything valuable in the game takes crystals to our buy; crystals are impossible to gain in large amounts unless players pay real money to buy them. Unlocking a new IN-GAME SHIP COSTS $30-$50 DOLLARS! That’s outrageous! Often, when players do purchase things, they are given nothing or LOSE THEIR PURCHASES when they make updates. Customer service auto replies and fixes some things, but they fail to follow through on about 90% of requests for reasonable refunds - that is unless the person complaining has opened a case with Google Play first! ABI has got to be the greediest game development company that I have ever come across in my entire life. Believe me when I tell you that, in this game, the richest person wins. ✓ Pay to playBeen playing it for well over a year. The developer has made it impossible to progress now without spending I would say $2k Aus. Would be fine for those with established accounts that were upgraded the old way by passing levels and PvP but now with the need to buy energy just to play, ships requiring outrageous amounts of crystals it is an absolute waste of time if you are not going to spend serious $$$. PvP was great till somehow now you need to be in an established clan to even participate to earn ships. ✓ Don’t spend your money here!!I have spent more money on this game than I really want to admit over the last several years. I received a message a few weeks ago that I was cheating in some way. This was absolutely false. It said if you wanted to dispute it, follow the FB link it connected you to. I provided screen shots, all of my history and advised them to check my account. I also asked for a refund for things I had paid for that was taken due to time outs, freezing and other issues on their part. To which I have received ZERO response. After about 3 days without a response from them, I was locked out of all PVP matches and online play. So, I sent a message regarding this. Again, no response. They have no problem taking your money for all of the in app purchases, but are lousy with customer service. I have requested a refund for ALL money spent on/within this app due to the issue of my game no longer working. No response. Now, I will go to the Apple/ITunes and keep working up the chain. From what I understand, this happened to a lot of people. Not just myself. I just contacted them way before most others. This was my favorite game to play while my grandson was napping. I have lost tons of money and time. You spend so much time working on your ranking. 3 years or more from me. Reducing the time for a chance to win for defeated player from 60 seconds to 30 was not a great idea - before you had a fair chance to win even if they are like a few levels up from you.. now you don’t. Though I could still live with it. But you also added these rocket shooting stuff that just kills you the first second of the game. That’s the most annoying part. ✓ Used to be fun....I’ve played this game for a few years now. In the beginning it was challenging, fun and rewarding. Using skill and technique to advance in levels and ships; however now it’s become too hard to advance and win in any way, shape or form without spending lots of money. ✓ Awful, terrible waste of time!Do not expect a fair game unless willing to fork over exorbitant amounts of money to become a “VIP” member or become one of the many hackers who seem to easily scam the game. It is crawling with bugs, from PvP mode (game will randomly shut down during matches which can result in costly losses) to what is called the boss mode (where a beaten “boss” is not recognized and the game timer ticks on into infinity.) Most things in game can be acquired with crystals; which can be earned through various tasks or bought with actual money. Several ships are available for such purchases and are necessary if one is to progress throughout tougher levels, opponents, etc. For example, one can own the “Terminator” for either $50 USD or 300 crystals although it is randomly (scarcely) dropped while playing levels or matches (especially scarce while matched against a VIP member.) There are almost no ads, so it stands to reason that these people need to monetize the service provided. ✓ Starts off fun, then shows its flawsThis game starts off fun, to hook you in, but then shows its flaws. In the main campaign mode you only have one life. The game developers haven’t learned the conventions of how to bring enemies on to the screen in games like this. In later levels they come whizzing on at high speed, at every angle, covering much of the screen, making it impossible for you to avoid losing your one and only life. If you want to continue, you can, if you watch an ad. The breaks up the game playing experience. ✓ SCAM GAMEI found it impossible to make progress beyond a certain point without buying gems with real money. Eventually your weapons become completely ineffective without upgrades costing thousands of gems and, even if you watch all the ads, you’re lucky to get 20 a day. If you don’t want to pay then you can sit through 10 minutes of ads for other games. Most of the time the game ads go to a black screen for 3 minutes and then repeat the ad then on the third time lock up the game where all you can do is kill it and start over. I play one round then it’s ads and ads and ads. ✓ The game is riggedI have played this game a long time. I had especially enjoyed playing the PVP. However, over the last few months, it is clear the developers have rigged this game. Example, one way to win in the PVP is to get six waves ahead. I have been 3 waves ahead, and within 3 more waves, I’m suddenly 4 or 5 waves behind and then lose shortly after for falling so many waves behind. That’s saying my opponent, goes through nearly 10 waves in the time I go through 3-4 waves. They send in opponents who have the ability to attack you but there’s no way for us to attack them. I have won matches but suddenly get “disconnected” and lose not only the match but energy used on that. I have filed over a half dozen complaints and all I get is “thank you, we’re aware of the problem and are working on fixing it.” I get that every time. I have looked on groups on google and find out that they have their own developers going in and doing this in order to get the players to make in app purchases. It is rigged to get your money. ✓ Avoid this game!How can I give this game the worst review possible? 🤔 The thing is, you the customer come last, or not at all. And it’s just gotten worse over time. I’ve been playing, maybe five years. I’ve put in work, time and effort, plus more money than I’d like to recount. They make it cumbersome to upgrade your ships, which you must do to advance, but I thought I’ll just be patient and gradually progress. I passed level 128 in campaign mode and had some good PVP seasons finishing with over an 80% win rate. After all these years, I’m a pretty good player. But the ability to advance gets more and more difficult, the events that used to let you get better ships have offered less and less, and, worst of all, the game is teeming with hackers and I even had fraudulent activity in my bank account as a result of making in game purchases. The game can be fun and even “addictive”, but it’s not worth any of your time or money. The playing field is inequitable and the customer service does not exist. To top it all off, I’m switching to a new phone and cannot save my progress and copy it over (something I did once before). Well, good riddance. But, there is just too much difficulty in this game to find much enjoyable about it in terms of longevity. Playing campaign to further progress your ships’ improvements? Well, you better watch ads and spend in-game premium currency in order to move forward. To supply this money making system, you get ONE life to complete a single stage, and basically an ad is your second life. Died on your second life? Well, touch it up because you have to spend the premium in game currency to get a third life. Not to mention the PVP pairing is absolute garbage. You will literally see people with 0 pvp points completely wreck you because they went out of their own pocket to buy whatever it is that completely destroys any sense of making improvements. Then the updates keep coming and they are not about improving the gameplay they are about increasing revenue for the game developer. Frustrating system in place in update for energy. ✓ I did like this game before last updateI did like this game before the latest update, reminded me of some old school games but this last update has given me nothing but problems. First off the player player mode (when you can get it to work) puts you up against players that have three times as many cp’s as you do with a much better ship so there is no way to win, second if you choose to spin the wheel from the quest screen then you will have to exit out of game to get back to the home screen and you never get your reward for completing that quest and now starting today when I would loose a round I would have to close the game out and restart it just to be able to play again because it would freeze up. Game was actually better with the pvp mode until the latest update, now it tells me that I need to update the app to play in the pvp mode even though it just undated 5 days again and no new updates available. ✓ Good game but now buggy after updatesI’m really liking this game, it’s fun and addictive. The only thing is it is now buggy after the latest updates. The issue is with the gameplay. After certain levels after I finish where it tells me to upgrade a certain ship, no matter whether I press the upgrade button or the x in the top right corner the screen goes to a darker shade and I can’t do anything, so now I have to close the app totally and reload it only to have it happen again the next time. ✓ Lots of quality issues recentlyThis is a good and engaging game, playing against shooters from all over the world in different challenges and games. 1 against 1, endless against aliens , specific challenges, … However the last weeks and months have been plagued by unbelievably frequent and significant quality issues. There used to be a strong Helpdesk with decent response times but now there is just messages apologizing for errors, every release that fixes one problem introduces 3 new ones. Without spending extra the player reaches a plateau too soon and any progress thereafter is painfully slow. Upgrades are overpriced, both in in-game currency and hard money. Who on earth pays ~£30 for a spaceship in a cellphone game?! Updates also do not seem to have making the game more enjoyable/fun as their purpose, but only to artificially inflate the difficulty so players are encouraged to spend more and watch more ads. One can wait to join PvP match only to be told that opponent disconnected, keep on looking for new opponents and then App restarts and PvP points would have been deducted and Win rate decreases, and you then become blocked from disconnecting when the app crashed by itself. ✓ Great concept but heavy ads and need to buy livesSo I loved this as it took me back to a fave game I used to play in my youth but alas, that’s where the allure wore off. The game is just too laced with ads. Gameplay also becomes near on impossible to play really early on without the need to use coins (or watch ads) or buy other boosters so it seems massively optimised to spend money. I deleted it as I haven’t got hours to spend on “tricky” gameplay but will look for something similar. ✓ Fun Game, but.....This is a very fun game. Lots of aspects to keep it new and keep you entertained. HOWEVER, it is near impossible to continue to advance without spending large sums of money. 40, 50, 60$ for a ship?!! Having to spend your energy (and coin) to play in PVP and Clan ( to be paired up extremely unevenly with players who have vastly higher rankings, vastly higher ship performance, to lose instantly from special ship attacks) It’s very frustrating. It feels rigged. Some days it’s buggy. You win a match, but it marks you as defeated. You are defeated and it marks you as victorious. Some days it’s very sensitive when you brush up against ships, somedays not. Very ad heavy!!! You choose to watch an ad to proceed in game, and the it freezes and you can’t proceed or it will show as not watched and kick you off. ✓ The campaign mode is fun and challenging, but you have to spend money to advance farVery challenging game - fun and even addictive. Excellent graphics and endless variety of enemies. The campaign mode gets very challenging as you advance, but unfortunately, it becomes impossible to advance towards the higher levels unless you either spend money on the game to upgrade your ship’s power, or unless you literally have hundreds to thousands of hours to spend time playing a video game – which no successful business owner does! Lol. Might be a good game for certain millennials who have lots of time to spend playing games. One more comment – the live battles against other players is a great concept, but they ruin this feature by making the battles entirely lopsided, and also by having you mostly play against computers instead of playing real people. So you often wind up getting paired against “people” (mostly computers) who have a ship many times stronger than yours - and they can clear the levels much faster than you or use tricks (called “talents”) to spontaneously destroy your ship and kill you. Therefore, you have almost no chance of winning a significant percentage of those games. It would be like playing chess against your opponent without a queen - or playing a physical sport against an opponent with no arms or legs. ✓ Greedy developerNever seen a game that could potentially cost thousands of dollars. Everything costs money, and a lot of it! I would not pay more than $5 for a full game like this, including all the “goodies” that it tries to sell you. And it keeps popping offers in your face to pay real money for nonsense. On top of that, there are more bugs in this game than aliens. Here’s one: it keeps preventing me from playing levels saying “Not enough stars” when I definitely have enough stars. The level requires 20 stars, and it clearly says 20 stars at the top. Also, modal dialog windows keep getting stuck and you click buttons and nothing happens. ✓ Too hard!I’ve never written a review for a game before, until I came across this game. Unless you have a lot of ‘real money’ to spend on buying coins to upgrade ships and buy power ups, then this game is going to be very hard to progress in! For a start, the missions are made extremely hard to complete (Mission S1, S2 etc) and I don’t think I’ve actually completed any of these yet due to the difficulty! Levels are very hard to progress in as the aliens give full coverage of your screen, filling every corner and leaving you nowhere to move your ship, ending up in losing the single life that you have. This is where the real money comes in as there’s no possible way to get past this level of difficulty without having upgraded your ship or having max power/power ups for your ship! As much as this game is addictive, it gets boring real quick dying over and over again at a level you know you can’t pass unless you have coins to buy useful things! Having said that, it could be an option to buy 4* and 5* ships to pass the level, but to pay £50 to unlock a ship is a bit steep. ✓ Enjoyable but a blatant cash-grabThe game over all is very enjoyable. My main issue is the fact that it prompts you to purchase ships and upgrades that cost upwards of $50. The really sneaky way they do it is by making the purchase pop-up look identical to the retry/continue pop-up and only do it at random intervals. You’ll be playing the game for 10 levels and the BAM! - you narrowly avoid spending $80 on a spaceship that pops up instead of the usual retry/continue. It’s pretty under-handed. ✓ Rubbish GameI have been playing this game for a while. Over the years it has gone from worse to worse. Every update they bring out makes the game go backwards. I had bought so many ships with crystals gathered and saved, only to find out out that when i signed in my last 2 ships i bought with the skins along with some pilots have disappeared. I contacted support all they can offer is 100 crystals….mind you just one ship cost more the 900 crystals and other items to purchase. Apparently the economy is strong enough in Southeast Asia, or the Horn of Africa, that scores of players can spend upwards of $100 on this app to beef up their fictitious space assault craft that will litter your screen with indelible obstacles and blast your ignorant American backside into oblivion. If only they spent that cash on anti-corrupt campaign funds, or vaccines! If you are tempted to spend money on this game, and you will be, you will quickly learn that the items you WANT to buy to compete are not eligible for direct purchase (skins, shiny ships, cards) but locked behind achievements that may take three decades to accomplish. So after Vietnam makes your Nike’s, they print $100 Apple gift cards, and time travel into the future where high-tech AI has enabled their avatars to grind through unreachable achievements, all for the purpose of intergalactic dominance in a fake telephone game. Forcing users to wait if they’re unwilling to pay for energy after they exhaust the 5 ad refresh per day is just a cash grab too far. Also, you’re a developer. There was previously a huge problem with multiplayer games VERY frequently losing connections; however, the latest update seems to have addressed quite a lot of these issues. Unfortunately, the very same update has also had the multiplayer balancing removed. Effectively this means that you’ll be facing opponents with ships that have over double your own combat power, and even if you don’t get killed quickly (as waves on the new version are much more difficult); you’ll soon fall 10 waves behind your opponent and lose that way instead. However, I do find one aspect boring to the point of deleting the app. On certain levels (i.e. Singleplayer level 63) it takes WAYYYYYYY to long to clear the first wave simply because of the lack of power ups made available. I can completely appreciate the developers desire to make certain levels more dependent on patience than skill, but when you don’t complete the level and then have to return to an insanely boring Wave 1 for almost two minutes to clear the screen it is not fun. Why wouldn’t you let a player start at Wave 2 once they have completed Wave 1? At least provide a SIGNIFICANTLY increased amount of power ups on levels like this after a player has cleared a certain wave. ✓ Rigged and bugged!To start off, I noticed when I purchase in game ships with in game coins that I earned without paying, the game becomes harder! To me this is either bugged or rigged to force the gamer to pay with real cash for upgrades and then they work. I’m on level 48 and have used all kinds of in game upgrades that barely worked and made the game harder to play or beat that level. Call me a skeptic, but without paying real cash I noticed the game becomes harder and harder to play without paying real cash. . Secondly if you report a bug it’s mainly ignored, so why invest in a game if the developer can’t invest in the gamer who will end up purchasing the game. I also noticed a big bs scam, the upgrade or power up that is not permanent that kills faster for maybe 10 or 20 seconds, if you use it and the next round takes a little longer to load before enemies appear so you can use the power up before it runs out. Yet it runs out just when the enemy appears making it an unfair advantage! Again might be a bug of the developer attempting to force the gamer to purchase more upgrades with real money. . ✓ A mixed bagThe gam is fun with some really good mechanics and great visuals, but like most these days, it heavily favors those that are willing to spend piles of cash. I honestly believe all the “pvp” type stuff is just bots, so beat the computer, if you can. As far as the game play, be ready to drop giant wads of cash, or play for multiple months religiously to gain enough traction to make reasonable progress. For example, I have unlocked most ships and upgraded all of them as far as I am able and don’t do enough damage to pass the second level of the birthday event. Seems like the devs tried to do some type of balance between free to play and pay to play, but lost their way and just went for the money. If I could offer any advise to the devs, cut the difficulty by 1/4 and cut the resource requirements by 2/3 at least. Make a game that we want to spend money on because we love to play it, not that we have to. Update: I just got done losing multiple pvp matches against opponents that are FAR beyond my ability to compete with. Also, I’ve been attempting to play this birthday event and even it is an overly difficult absolute joke. ✓ Mindless fun but annoying.The game has a lot of the features you would expect from a space shooter, but also a lot you would expect from a f2p game. As far as the gameplay goes, it’s much like most other f2p games, since the difficulty and “grinding” aspect increases way too fast. The fun destructible meteor mini levels get replaced with these invincible alien asteroid levels that are just boring. The boss fights go from interesting to aggravating too quickly as well. Enemies shooting heat seeking missiles at you while you are having to dodge 40 other things at the same time. Enemy explosives and attacks that fill 50% of your screen while ALSO shooting smaller ammo at you... essentially making it 100% impossible to avoid being destroyed. There are many times where you won’t complete a level in the 23 seconds for the achievement... simply because the enemies take too long to re-enter the screen. They will seriously drop out of the bottom of your screen and then the screen will be empty for about 7-10 seconds while waiting for them to drop back in from the top. There’s always a meteor or two in the meteor levels that will be just too far to the left or right of the screen so that you can’t destroy them. There are other frustrations but these are some of the worst for me personally..Version: 4.6.0

I don't mind spending a few bucks for a great game but obviously you’re going to lose PVP against those who have paid more in. There’s little skill involved when you’re up against a higher VIP. You're going to be given the lowest of the low end ships repeatedly playing in super league against those who are higher VIP and be prepared to feel very frustrated as you watch the 6 levels needed for the other to win get blown away in no time. Campaign is probably the best to stay in although I loved playing PVP, campaign is at least more skill involved but there are some areas you will find it extremely difficult without a stronger ship. ✓ Hello playersIf you’re looking for a game to play that is legit without any hacks or cheaters. I WOULD NOT PLAY!!! This game. If they got rid of the hacks and cheaters it would be really fun to play like it was over a year ago. The game has gone downhill since e then cause the developers of the game can’t figure out how fix any problems within the game. They do an update almost everyday which fixes one problem then creates two more. They add stuff to game and give out crappy prizes. I’m not saying this just to say this. I’m saying it because I have and many others have said it. The customer services is the worst there ever was in the game besides GOW. The gifts for the codes are useless. Yes they tiny gift will help out the very small player like the beginners, but even that won’t get to far. The game focuses on how much they can do and pretend to help out. The developers of this game are getting shammed by all the hackers and cheaters in the game. Many have complained but nothing is being done. Other than the executives, developers or whatever you call the crooks going on vacation for a couple weeks and putting out a post saying we will be off for vacation. ✓ Horrible play after you level a littleNo skill base match making. Was fun in beginning and even started to spend some money. Now it’s just out of control. Can’t win or do anything in PvP mode. Expect to battle people that are double your rank and maxed out accounts. They will real you in at the beginning and make it very fun and addictive. After about the first 30 days you will completely over ran by maxed accounts horrible playing experience. Would not advise to put any money into this game. Use it as a time waster at most. I will be delegating the app!! They say that they have updated the skill base match making lol. Not even close to being true. I would say it’s about a 1 in 5 chance that you will play someone the same rank or lower. For instance I’m a rank 60 and during my PvP match yesterday I finished with 2 win and 3 losses which is a total of 5 matches. Played 1 that was a equal rank. 2 of the matches where people level 150 and PvP points over 10k. Game continues to decrease daily. Will say it is a good time killer if you just want to noodle around for a couple minutes or if you want to spend about $100 plus a month. ✓ Player matching is HORRIBLEThe player matching in PvP mode is absolutely horrific. A good PvP system would match similar players, but very frequently, this game matches you with wildly incompatible players: far more game time, way higher power, much better ships. The result is that you do everything you can only to see your opponent breeze through levels 2X faster than you. This sucks. Also: I can’t prove it but I would swear that every time you buy in and improve your ships, the game is designed to let you win for a bit, then start losing more and more as an incentive to pay more and more and more. Update Feb 15 Literally 70% of the time I am matched with better-armed players with significantly more advanced ships. This is obviously designed to get me to continue to pay, pay, pay more. Sometimes the disparity is so great I’ll just get pummelled and lose automatically when they clean 6 more levels than me … even though I haven’t lost a single life. Just when you think that 30 second annoying add is enough, another 15 second add automatically starts. Maybe if you tripled the reward it might be worth it. You need to control the adds a bit better. There are also some adds that when the clock has counted down, the X won’t come up for another 15 seconds, and all for 100 coins which gets you absolutely no where. ✓ Fun game with unexpected consequencesGame is pretty fun, constant stream of fire to destroy swarms of enemies. Bosses are designed well and with enough variations that their reuse is natural and not boring. Unfortunately, upgrading ships also upgrades game difficulty making the game less fun over time instead of more fun. To provide an example, in Endless mode you can make it through perhaps 50 levels with the first few ships you can acquire. As your fleet grows in power you can approach 100 screens...THEN you cross some invisible boundary and the difficulty of every screen increases. Asteroids begin breaking up into unkillable debris, alien ships explode releasing homing missiles and start shielded dive bomb runs. These difficulty enhancements are great, but the start on the first wave of every mode making it difficult to clear even 50 waves on Endless mode despite substantial investment in improving your fleet. Highly recommend that these difficulty enhancements be removed from early waves of Endless and Multiplayer. They take a five star game down to three stars in my opinion. A go to diversion has become a frustration not worth continuing since it seems upgrades that should make you stronger, really just improve the enemies..Version: 4.0.28

✓ DisappointingThis would be one of the best games ever if the developers were experienced enough or cared enough to be able to get rid of the glitches which occur frequently. I have played the game for some years but whatever you do DON’T SPEND YOUR MONEY! and check out player comments off this page in other player review sites. People lose the items they have paid for and lose game progress amongst many other glitches . ✓ No in game support?EDIT: updated to add that since i left this review my account has been targeted, i log in and play 1 round and lose all of my energy after just playing once (100 energy down to 0) when a round is only supposed to cost 10 energy. also i see in matches that i will still be on my first ship and 1 lvl power when opponents have had multiple ship changes even though i am several levels ahead. while i really like the idea of the game because it is so similar to galaga (it’s basically a ripoff lol) the devs are absolute garbage. how in the world can you ask for $99 for a ship and not offer in-game support for basic troubleshooting? money grab. play enough and you’ll find that you are asked to pay 2-4 diamonds to play single rounds of events that used to require nothing.. then gold coins or just the watch of an ad. no explanation for the uptick. just hit a certain threshold on an event and whoopsie. you don’t get to play unless you pay. it’s predatory awful behavior and it’s why i have never spent a dime on this game and never will. this is coming from someone who has spend $15,000 usd on topwar in 2022. over $5,000 usd on cooking diary. i have no problem spending on games. i refuse to do it when the makers so obviously don’t care about their user base. i love galaga and i am so upset this is what we got..Version: 5.4.49
✓ It’s a good game but so many advertsIt’s good but very difficult to get skins etx you would have to play obsessively to get anywhere for free. The adverts are predominantly gambling and completely irrelevant for my region (Australia) they are also very sexist and I don’t get why women sitting on a toilet is a good topic to “find the five differences”. Recently the adverts went to a minute then a second stab for another 5 / 15 or 30 seconds, and they play after each action. ✓ Don’t bother!Would be a decent game, if it didn’t constantly crash. I am lucky if I can play two games consecutively, as it almost always crashes either at some point during the second game, or immediately after. I suspect it has something to do with the ads, but it’s got so incredibly frustrating, I don’t see any point in playing the game any more. ✓ Galaxy attackGreat game. This is the best arcade game on App Store in my opinion. I have been playing this game for years. However the downside of it… if you build up your profile over the years without spending a penny you have no chance of competing on the PVP element of the game. I have not spent a penny on this game and when playing PVP I find myself playing against people who have clearly spent a lot of money on the game as they have every upgrade of ship possible. It makes the game unenjoyable as it is impossible to compete against these types of players. The game would be a 5 start if the PVP element of the game was based on combat power rather then success points and percentages. To the producers please allow us to compete against equal players. ✓ Expect no fairness or function, play for freeThe gameplay is good, hence the 2nd star, but the functionality is terrible. Vs matches often end early, or go beyond the timer, & opponents are almost never equally matched, or even close. Rewards are not always given for vs seasons. Sometimes items are withheld from purchases. I often die without getting hit due to graphics lag, even on new devices. When I tried to move my first account to my second iPad, it didn't work, & I lost the account. The game has lots of problems, as do most app games. Most games have a customer/player support department to take care of these problems. This game, however, no longer has in-game support. Of course, it doesn't matter, as support never responded to me when it was there. Supposedly, there is now support through Facebook Messenger... but there has never been more than an automated "we referred it to the developers". I have played on/off for 5 years, with no problem ever being even addressed by the company. I really hope this will keep someone from wasting money. ✓ Gets worse with every releaseEach release recently introduces a new “feature”, basically some impossible to get items unless you pay huge amounts (hundreds of £$€) to get. The basic game play is still a lot of fun, but the developers are clearly only interested in getting as much money as possible from you. Original review below. ✓ Lots of glitchesThis could be a really good game if it weren’t for the amount of glitches. It regularly doesn’t award you coins for playing and don’t bother watching the adverts for double coins because that never works either. The multiplayer part crashes too often and takes the coins away even though the game crashed and the algorithm for finding opponents I seriously messed up, you often find yourself pitted against an opponent who has a fully maxed out ship while you are sat there with a basic ship not getting any upgrades. The developers aren’t interested in fixing the problems, they are only interested in getting people to spend vast amounts of real money to buy better ships to be able to complete levels. ✓ Countdown clockI’ve been playing this for awhile, while I love the game it’s super fun and definitely makes time pass whenever I play I’m slightly irritated about one specific time issue. I’ve noticed over the last few times I played the PvP option that when you die and your opponent is a little farther behind you on waves the countdown clock will glitch and stop counting while the other for the wave is, making it possible for the other player to make it past you to win. I’ve lost so many chances at victory because of this glitch and I’m starting to feel a little animosity towards it because I can’t get past a specific point amount on this option in the game. I didn’t really notice at first that it was doing it but now I’m becoming increasingly agitated with how this happens when I’m so far ahead I don’t feel as though it’s fair and I would love to know what’s going on. ✓ Not a level playing fieldThis game could be a good game but the levels are too hard almost impossible, as the levels go on it just gets ridiculously hard unless you spend real money or play and play and watch endless amounts of adverts to get rewards, example is on a lot of rounds and levels you clear one wave and wait for the next one the alien spaceships just come at you at speed from whichever direction unknown and cover the whole screen so you have nowhere to go and that’s it no extra lives unless guess what you watch an advert ok no real problem gets you a life but then that’s it when the next almost impossible wave comes. Also don’t bother with the p v p as you play and go through the waves as quick as is possible with what you’re given you look at your opponent and 3 or 4 waves in front makes you wonder what’s going on, and also with survival on p v p mode which I think is the best mode of the game you only get one free round per day which was 2 until recent update, why take one away after that you can watch an advert for extra game and play 5,000 coins and then 10,000 coins which can’t be earned that quick because levels are too hard. ✓ I hate this game.When I started it was ok. I won some, I lost some. Now, you can only play super league twice a day. They force you to play free league and I’m constantly going against people with better ships and upgrades. You have to fight the aliens and sometimes 3-4 attacks from opponents at the same time! It’s like putting a teenager in the cage with a pro MMA fighter. It don’t stay fun long, you get what I’m saying? Now I’m definitely not the best player, even if I was fully upgraded, but I can promise you this...in an even playing level I would be winning more than I am now which is about 10% of the time. Even in free leagues, if you’re against someone who doesn’t have upgrades it’s like 8 times out of 10 they immediately get their most powerful ship and I get the two least powerful until like wave 9 or 10. By that time you can’t catch up if the player is good enough. I hate to delete this game because I actually just spent real money on it just to buy one ship. But I’m gonna. I’m so done I just want everyone else to know, you cannot compete unless you spend money. I repeat, you cannot compete unless you spend real money or deal with losing for 10 years to finally upgrade some stuff to get to where you can compete. My only hope in winning free league is if one of the other opponents quit or is killed early or if my teammate has lots of upgrades and attacks them and then I just ride my teammates coat tails to victory. ✓ Run by hackers and scam artistsThe game is full of hackers, or at least that’s what ABI (the developers) will have you believe yet they do nothing but penalise the normal player and encourage the hacker. If your an honest person you tend to lose points faster than you can accumulate them even if you play daily. You need to spend approx £2000 English pounds (yes an Xbox or ps5 is cheaper) if you want to even hope to catch up with the veterans. And then even more to compete. My account has been blocked/zapped for 3 weeks now, along with half (25 - 30) of my clan mates by the developers for no reason. PVP Survival not resetting daily, it can take days or weeks for your turn to reset instead of every 24 hours the clock just keeps extending 2.Market place countdown from 10hrs once you make a purchase just keeps extending and never reaching 0:00 (only last few days it has worked) 3. Energy levels - **THIS ONE IS THE WORST” I open the game and have an energy level of 100, I play one game i.e PVP using 10 energy points and when that one games is finished I have 0 energy points left even though I’ve only used 10. They really need to fix these bugs the energy level bug means you can’t play the game without watching an ad to get more energy (even though it has cheated you out of energy you had) and when I purchased 50 energy points using crystals it stole those points too. If they want to make the game paid only they should be transparent and do just that, and stop trying to trick people. ✓ Love the gameThe game is very addictive, but I wish they’re were a way to maintain your ship and it’s guns as you progress through the levels. Furthermore, maybe consider to make the different scenes less convoluted by using less writings. I am only at level 5 so I’m not sure how this game will affect my phone or if it’ll increase in difficulty. So far I haven’t seen significant difference in difficulty as I rise in levels. ✓ Good game BUT.Good and addictive game but…..they keep upping the ante. Went from unlimited plays to 10 power units for a game (for endless). Then they decided to up it to 15 power units per game. Some brain thought, ‘hey, let’s make it so one CAN’T keep playing and make it frustrating’. The PvP matchups are far from roughly evenly matched (many times I’m sitting at a low 200 and am matched up with someone with 2100 - game over before it began type of thing). Pretty sad when your opponent gets more drops and power ups and weapons and it puts you 5 waves behind before you’re finished the 1st wave. Also in 1 on 1 PvP - how is it an opponent can issue an attack on you but you can’t them? Just makes it so you just end up doing yourself in to get the game over. Take the loss.
