Needs an Apple Watch App.I’d use this more often if there was Apple Watch support.Version: 1.18.5

Needs period tracking!I assume no women work at Daylio but after reading the reviews I feel like maybe no women even use this app considering how I haven’t seen a single person mention needing a period tracking function. Menstrual cycles can make a huge difference in mood trends and there is no good way to account for it in this app. I guess you can make “period” an activity but then you have to select that activity for every entry for a week to not mess up the analytics. And then have to have PMSing as a separate activity you select for a different week straight? I’ve never written a review for anything online and honestly never thought I would but I want to love this app and this is such a glaring oversight. Even if it wasn’t accounted for in the analytics, at least a little flag or something to put on the days you’re on your period that you could see in the calendar view and not have to add to each individual entry would be a start. But also still please work on adding it to the analytics! For half the population you are missing out on one of the most obvious things to track for mood!.Version: 1.24.1

DisappointedI’ve been an avid Daylio user for over five years. I recently recommended the app to friends and they informed me there are now NO free features. When I first downloaded the basic package was free and then you could pay for the upgrade. There’s a massive problem in the app world with profiteering off of vulnerable people, particularly people with mental health issues thanks to the whole ‘wellness’ boom. I always thought Daylio put services and ethics before being money grabbing scroungers. And before any developer messages me telling me I don’t know how much work goes into making an app, I used to work for some top healthcare apps in the U.K., I am intimately aware of the work that goes into creating and maintaining apps. I’m so disappointed in this company. I’ve championed you for years because the app is great and an integral part of my care. Sick people often don’t have the money to pay all your ridiculous subscription fees. Even £2.50 in a cost of living crisis is a lot to some people. Bring back a basic free feature! You know you can afford it..Version: 1.48.3

DaylioI would rate Daylio ⅗. Daylio is a tracking and journaling app that is simple, effective and user-friendly. It is great at its basic function of mood tacking and journaling, it allows me to reach my mood, add notes about my and record my daily activities. While tracking, the app created a visual representation of my mood trends and statistics. This app could improve past its basic functioning and add more advanced features revolving mental health. The app was simple though and easy for me to use. I was able to quickly start logging my mood and activities, I feel that this app could be used by less tech-savvy users. Though the app is simple and easy to use, it does lack playfulness and entertainment. This app really does revolve around its basic purpose and does not add playful features. Its visual design is clean and appealing but prioritizes functionality over extravagance. The only customization that can be done is changing the colors of the layout. The app can improve on enhancing the social component, the app is limited in sharing this data and it may be beneficial to allow users to share this app with others. The app could also be more aware of culture and provide cultural sensitivity features to improve inclusivity. Lastly, the app could enhance its accessibility features for those with disabilities..Version: 1.53.0

Great app but one bug flawThere should be a dashboard that looks back 30 days continuously so you can keep track of what’s going on and identify patterns in a consistent way. Instead of doing something like this the dashboard gets reset on a monthly basis so basically it looks like every month you start from scratch. There is a yearly view but that’s a different perspective from the monthly one. Honestly I just don’t get why the developers have chosen this design, it makes what could be the perfect mood tracking app a plain disappointment. Also I love the fact that you can export the data however it would be better if you could customise the dashboards so you can play around with the data without leaving the app..Version: 1.11.1

Great app but clearly not designed for an iPadIt’s a great idea and very simple. It’s not too involved which is great because it makes it realistic and easy to use if you’re busy or don’t want to expend a lot of energy filling in questions and journalling. However, my gripe is that it’s not made for the iPad. It might be usable on the iPad but it’s ugly and doesn’t fit the screen. It opens in phone dimensions, only occupying a portion of the screen which you then have to enlarge but even then it doesn’t fit the screen and it’s fuzzy and almost pixelated...because it’s not designed for the iPad. It’s really lazy of the designers to not put any effort into a large part of the Apple market. For that reason I’m uninstalling it. Such a shame as it’s the best and simplest mood tracker. PS To the developer. It’s not making it up to me by improving the iPhone version as I don’t own an iPhone, which you’ve presumed I do because I have an iPad. There’s such a thing as putting all your eggs in one basket. Not a good response really..Version: 1.22.3

Liked but then backfiredI downloaded Daylio bc I wanted to keep more track of my life. Thought it would be interesting to read back on my life you know? And it was great. I didn’t journal everyday, sometimes I forgot. But it was great to get my thoughts out and then read them back later. I loved the app and it was super cutely made. But today I was just doing stuff on my phone and something weird happened. So I have daylio send me a notification to journal so I don’t forget. I have it set at 7:00pm. So I get the notification and ignore it, knowing to journal later. So then I get the notification again. Then my phone started acting up and freezing and turning off and I kept getting the daylio notification. Then I just deleted the app and everything stopped. Idk of this was my phones fault or daylio a fault. I do love the app, but if the app did that to my phone, then I don’t recommend. If there’s any way that could be fixed if there is something wrong, that would be greatly appreciated. I’m not sure if it just happened to me but I hope this gets fixed. Again, love the app, but I don’t want it to kill my phone..Version: 1.15.2

Good app. Price is outrageous.I’ve never seen an app cost this much. $80??? Probably not even in Canadian dollars. What on earth is that..Version: 1.56.3

MoneyBought the old premium version (still have the “achievement” for that). Had to do a factory reset, and now apparently I have to have a subscription to use the features I’ve already paid for 😕.Version: 1.19.4

Excellent app but color coding would be helpful!I’ve been using Daylio strong for almost 2 years & I will continue to do so. I highly recommend this app if you want to neatly track your daily activities/goals. I wish these features were offered: Plan activities in the future Color coded groups (Not by the moods, solely based on the activity group) Another app called “finch” does this with what they call “journeys” Example: my health goals would be 🟢 green font 🟢 & chores would be 🔵 blue font 🔵 etc. This could be an optional feature but It’d be really helpful to me: a banner at the top (under the motivational quote) that listed each group activity by the color assigned for it Example: 🟢 health 🟢 & 🔵 chores 🔵 So I can keep track of the assigned colors. I love how we can organize our activities by groups by it’s hard for my eyes to organize/separate them at a glance when they are all the same color. (For now I just use emojis to color code/separate the activities) Another feature I’d reallyyyyy like added: The ability to upload our own photos from camera roll in lieu of icons. This would make aesthetic goal planning & would get me excited to enter them in c: I like the newly added feature with daily motivational quotes at the top. Keep up the good work Daylio, love your app & appreciate your team & all the effort put in to make this app amazing & a daily essential for me! Thank you for taking the time to read this. 💖💞💖.Version: 1.51.1

Crashes all the timeIt used to be really good but now, since the update, it’s super slow and crashes every 2 minutes..Version: 1.2.3

Why does it cost moneyReally cool idea and also really fun and useful but I think it’s stupid how it costs money like who is gonna spend five dollars a month on it if it was for free this would easily be five stars.Version: 1.22.3

Recent Subscription ModelThe app itself is spectacular. It's been invaluable for recording my activities and moods to create trends over the past 550 days. I've recently learned that the app has switched to a subscription model for its premium features, which I am deeply disappointed by. I've recommended Daylio to numerous friends, but cannot now that the premium features require an ongoing expense with no option to purchase the app outright. If a one-off payment option is reinstated, my rating will return to 5*..Version: 1.20.1

SuggestionOur bodies are made up of mostly water. The moon can influence a persons mood or physical condition. Just ask the local Metropolitan Police Station or Maternity ward. Barometric pressure drives our weather systems. This atmospheric pressure is measured by how it weighs on our bodies in pounds per square inch. I would the ability to add a users current weather conditions (Barometric Pressure, Moon phase, Sunny, Cloudy, rainy, winter, heat wave, etc.). When I make an entry the app could then attach a users current weather conditions like a time stamp, so to speak. Mood analytics are all about the trends and rely on multiple entries to see the bigger picture. If these added data points were added to a users daily moods, then they could possibly make associations with particular weather patterns or pressures. Seasonal depression is one I would love to be able to test over time and see if I personally had a mood weather correlation. Earthquakes can now be predicted almost to the day/week by not just analyzing tectonic activity, but also, barometric pressure, weather and phases of the moon & tides. It's a real thing that people experience every day. I believe the weather conditions contribute significantly to peoples moods and behaviors. Don't you?.Version: 1.51.1
