✓ Great sound, shame about the app.Got a Megablast a year ago. Great sound and the app was functional if a bit basic. Got a second Megablast a month ago after seeing you could now group them for stereo. Have spent what seems like most of that month trying to get the app to do just that. Despite numerous attempts I get completely inconsistent behaviour from the app, peppered with meaningless messages and often-unfollowable suggestions. Logitech phone support have been polite, well-meaning but ultimately ineffective at fixing my issues and the online documentation I’ve been able to find is silent on the subject. ✓ Flibble Flabble FlubbleNice speaker. Pity about the app. Reconnect after reinstalls is tediously hard when phones are sharing the same Wi-Fi network. This is a problem if you use multiple devices or rarely need the app; you could have achieved the exact same result with a built-in web server on the speaker. No AirPlay. Wi-Fi stretches farther than Bluetooth, so restricting it to Alexa just makes it less useful, which is too bad because not everything's on Alexa yet. Accessibility: equaliser controls are not accessible when using the custom option. The app, in general, is not as usable as it should be for non-visual users. Try it for yourself, using VoiceOver. ✓ No party up, and constant crashes in appIt is crazy that the blast and megablast - the most premium/expensive Bluetooth speakers in the UE family - don’t have the party up mode. These speakers should all be able to talk to each other, especially given how much more the blast costs over the boom 3. This app is unbelievably buggy on my iPhone XS, and is constantly crashing when I try to change the EQ on the speaker. The app is preventing me from what should be the most basic feature. ✓ Disaster of a productWhere do I start, I bought 2 mega booms with the intent of having a nice stereo setup and it’s a complete hassle to try to pair them and pretty much impossible to get them joined in a group. I’ve tried for a week and once I get it working, I turn off and try again later and have to start the whole dance again. The app is useless and crashes all the time, saying to restart. Meanwhile on my Bose I press power and it pairs immediately. ✓ Horrible AppAgree with other reviewers that this app needs to be fixed. I should have read app reviews before buying multiple speakers. 1. Difficult to connect speakers and then when you do they disconnect for no apparent reason. 2. It appears if you set-up on your phone and you try to do anything on your phone, I.e. save a song, search for info, it could disconnect. 3. Your device with app must be close, actually very close, to speaker to work and it should be near a power source as drains battery on device. 4. Connection range is shorter then advertised. 5. App only shows name of first speaker or parent speaker. When the addition speakers show up on app connection page there is no name so you are not sure which speaker connected. If one drops then you need to unconnected all and reconnect which means moving them all close together l. Greet way to kill the party. Luv the speakers. ✓ Somehow got worseLoved UE since the original ue boom. Ue boom 2 was great, synced two at a time perfectly. ✓ Missing key Alexa commandsSince this is a Bluetooth music speaker, you’d think it would have standard Alexa commands to control music on paired devices. I have several Echo devices and regularly use Alexa commands such as pair my device, play Bluetooth, pause, resume, next song, etc. None of these are enabled on the Blast! You must connect to Bluetooth manually and use your iPhone/iPad and control music like on any ‘dumb’ Bluetooth speaker. Very disappointing!.Version: 2.0.8.170

✓ Very poorFive stars for the build quality. About three for the sound quality; I think they could pull way more bass from the sub, sounds no better than the JBL Charge 3 I had. ✓ No party up functionPicked up my new Megablast today and was looking forward to linking it up with my old Megaboom 2. Set up the the new speaker only to find it doesn’t support the party up function and we can no longer control the music from tapping the top of the speaker. I’m very disappointed that these have been removed. And will be returning the Megablast to the store for a full refund tomorrow. This speaker is not worth the asking price. ✓ Invest in Boom Speakers insteadI bought the UE Blast because my experience with UE Boom was good and I wanted more bass. Wrongest assumption! Unlike UE Boom speakers you cannot turn UE Blast speakers on or off remotely; it does not automatically connect to play music; you have to fiddle and fiddle and fiddle until it makes no sense to continue. What is worse, different UE products do not talk to each other. So you have to download one app for blast and another for boom. Makes zero sense! Big assumption: The UE Blast firmware probably conflicts with the UE Boom firmware ... I have both and I may be wrong.Version: 2.0.7.168

✓ OkayI mean, it does the basics. But there are. A number of medium issues I think take the shine off of the experience. Things like the EQ settings don’t persist when you close and reopen the app. Example; if I set the EQ to Voices, exit the app and go back, the EQ is set back to Standard. ✓ Great speaker but gave up with the appBought a Megablast a week or so ago and love it but I’ve given up trying to use it with the app. It failed to ‘find’ my speaker claiming there was a conflict with another UE device(?) and no matter what I tried nothing would make app and device work together. Firstly there is no feature to sync multiple speakers which given this is a WiFi speaker seems odd. ✓ Terrible terrible appThe Blast speaker is a decent piece of kit but it’s let down by this app. I bought a new Blast and when I tried to set it up it failed on EVERY STEP using the app. Every step multiple times! So I tried again and again. Resetting the device, re-installing the app, and so on and so on. Eventually I got through each step until I ultimately got the thing working. Most people would not have the patience to do this. The setup should take a couple of minutes if it all works but it took me about 40 minutes. The app just doesn’t work well enough. ✓ Not impressed, good sound, app completely uselessThe actual speaker is good with powerful crispy sound the problem is the connection. I was using it with an iPhone 7, not great, a few hit and miss, dropping connection ever so often but at least able to use it. I then upgraded to an iPhone Xs and not able to use the speaker at all since. The phone will not recognise or find the device. I removed the app and re downloaded it to ensure I had the newest version, no luck. I downloaded the diagnostic tool and restored the device to its original factory’s settings and try the set it up from scratch again. No way. I am now completely lost and I can’t use the speaker.
