✓ Great but...It is a great game, it is exactly the kind of game you want on an iPad, but like others had said, it is buggy. For it to crash/force close and not have auto saved so you lose 20 years of game progress is shocking, and it hadn’t happened once either. I have pretty much the best iPad money can buy with 5/6ths of available space remaining. No other games seem to have this issue so I have to assume it’s purely Tropico which does. I’m grateful that it’s not littered with ads or in game purchases, but there is only so many times you can put up with crashes/game progress loss until you’re fed up with trying..Ftf96Version: 1.1.3

✓ I like the game butI don’t like the layout idk a better layout on the spot but I’d definitely say I know it can have a better layout and for the designs of the buildings are from old Tropico game’s style why not the the current design in Tropico 6 or 5 but I own every Tropico game and this has my least favorite layout still like the game in general it’s just that, If I could see just one change it would be to have a layout that shows you the boundaries the farm would need as it has it in all the most modern Tropico’s.DornischVersion: 1.4.2

✓ Less than smooth controlsThis game has so much potential but it’s sorely let down by mysteriously wobbly controls. Even basic camera navigation feels very flakey via touchscreen, too easy to suddenly find yourself flying away from the focus point, trying to tap on Tropicans, units and buildings is also very hit and miss, the hit boxes just don’t seem to be where you’re tapping half the time. It’s frustrating because you can tell that underneath the clunky controls this is a stellar game waiting to get out, it just needs that little bit of extra polish to shine..Anon grumpsVersion: 1.1.3

✓ Crashes in tutorialUninstalled and refund requested, love the tropico games, played it when it first came out on pc and enjoyed it a lot, it’s been a while and the tutorial here is fundamental to learning how to use on iPad but crashes same place every time on the use 2 fingers to pitch cam up and down, I have up to date iOS and tried restarting iPad to no avail, beyond these things it really isn’t my job to make the game stable, paying 9.99 for the game is a price enough that I should be able to play this on mini 6 fully optimised with no issues, if the devs want to push the game thru for free to me to test it is fixed I will then gladly pay for the game til then I will have to pass..Dan21BarVersion: 1.4

✓ Broken content they won't fixThought it was just a me problem, but apparently 2 of the campaigns in this game are not completable due to broken programming. No matter what you d o you're guaranteed to lose. There are no in game hints about what* to do on there levels and I checked online forums and everyone says the same thing, the two campaigns are straight up broken and there's no solution because the game's distributors clear don't care that they're selling content that doesn't actually function..Lizzy123454321Version: 1.4.3

✓ Good and BadFun interesting strategy game. But for starters the game crashes regularly on ipad. Second, some of the scenery is irritating, esp when trying to create new roads , some it just won’t let you proceed. You also can’t ‘do’ anything about rebels attacking, can’t arrest anyone or send your army to deal with it, so it’s pure luck if they win or not. Addressing issues to win elections doesnt give you enough options for the things which may improve a low ranking. Also sometimes you are doing really well in a scenario but suddenly lose anyway which is irritating. For example, I had a 60% prediction of winning an election and had no problems that needed action but lost the election, the game and 2 days effort. ✓ Expensive Splash ScreenIf your experience is anything like mine, you will end up paying over 10 bucks for a picture of a El Presidente. I have deleted and redownloaded the app and sat waiting for the game to load for several minutes and nothing happens. I'm experiencing this issue on the 2018 iPad Pro which should run the game fine. I would highly suggest not purchasing this until an update is released that includes the ability to do anything the app is supposed to be able to do. ✓ Not for meI love SimCity and Civilisation, but this game just doesn’t make sense to me. The controls are fiddly, the various interventions don’t seem to be tied together in any sensible way, and the information needed to make decisions is scattered and tedious to find. ✓ Not a Great GameI was looking forward to playing this because I like this genre of games. So I plonked down my cash to buy it. I gave it a good chance but it’s hopeless - the interface is clunky and non-intuitive and it’s simply not fun to play. I started and re-started several times working through the tutorials to get a good feel for it. The tutorials are frustrating because it will show you a screen and while you’re starting to look at it to understand what it’s trying to show, the screen disappears in about one second flat - it moves on to the next bit before you can take in even part of it. ✓ Frustrating!!!Having played and completed both Tropico 5 and 6 and all the DLC that came with them on PS it’s safe to say I’m a fan and having spent hours upon hours on the series I’m a bit of a master at it. So waiting around for Tropico 7 to be released on console I seen this in IOS and was open to giving it a shot knowing to lower my expectations being a mobile version. But my god it’s annoying. Runs fine on my IPad Air 3 and the graphics are great too! But the fact it differs so much from the console version in presentation the info bar at the bottom taking up a 1/3 of the screen buildings looking and operating differently to console versions. I felt like a complete noob playing it and had to learn from scratch on just recognising buildings for a start! The camera is shocking and using with your fingers just frustrates beyond belief. No trade screen I can find anyway buildings taking for ever to build and even get up and running? It’s just bad. So bad. Wish there was a demo to try first. ✓ Okay on the whole.I’ve been playing Trópico for a couple of months now and it’s okay. The concept of being a local dictator is fun, the graphics are amazing and the game is easy as well as generally enjoyable. Where it becomes a tad irritating is waiting forever for your construction crews to build farms and such. ✓ Great until it crashes half way throughLove this game but it crashed halfway through my first two games and deleted all my saved data when doing so. So be prepared to invest several hours in this game all to unexpectedly have it crash and delete everything before you can finish. It happened during both times during an auto save. ✓ Great game but some major bugsThis game is awesome for an iOS-based game, but it has some major bugs as well. The most important is that I can’t build any roads right now. Was able at first but then the game wouldn’t allow any other roads to be constructed. On any map. Thus I can’t develop my islands anymore. ✓ Good StartLet’s start with the bad first. The mini map of the island does not work at all it flickers. The farming in Tropico was never great in the Xbox editions of the game and this takes down a notch further. The farming should have been more like Tropico 1 from the original pc version of the game. This edition of Tropico has a problem with building new structures it’s at a incredibly slow speed even when time is moving fast. The population growth seems to be at a slow speed as well and don’t for the most part go school even if available. The economy in this Tropico is to easy I made money at a fast pace even with just a couple of coffee farms. Now for the Good This version of Tropico does have its faults but for being a first try it’s great and keeps the tradition of dictatorships alive. I did like Tropico 3 and this is as close to exact copy as one can get and it’s detail is fantastic. The future I hope that this game does well and we see a made for IPad Tropico come out I also hope to see the classics Tropico and other classic games like Railroad Tycoon. For my last note I would absolutely pay big bucks to see Tropico turn VR so I rule my Kitchen Table as my own Tropico..Andromeda1212Version: 1.1.3

However, the game crashed on me while using an iPhone Xs and the game would not let me send a crash repot. The game stayed on the loading/sending crash report screen for an endless amount of time.
