Tropico for Positive User Reviews

Works good!Restart your iPad if it freezes the first time you open it..Version: 1.1.3

Great adaptation but keeps the worst of the source materialKudos to Feral for another great PC port to iOS. This is basically Tropico 3 adapted for iOS. I would give it 5 stars if not for the following issues: 1. Everything is visually muted and dark, even in daytime. There should be more video settings sliders for brightness and gamma. 2. The original problem with construction builders acting worthless and spending 75% of their time not building has not been improved. This was a major fault in T3, corrected in later versions. 3. The need for garages for people to drive places remains in place. This was also a major fault in T3 and was greatly improved in later versions. 4. CPU / GPU use is so high it overheats my phone. Maybe this is normal for a PC port of this magnitude. Still, it would be great if there were a CPU throttle slider that trades processing power for fps or some other tradeoff. Again, great job Feral. If you can improve the above this will be a much improved game and I can give it the 5 stars it deserves..Version: 1.4.2

🏞Download now🌇 and thank yourself later!🏔This is a must have for any city builder fan. Feral brought a classic game to the modern era the right way. They used all the bells and whistles the iPad has to offer to make the game run butter smooth. From the HD visual rework, the meticulously reworked on screen controls, and new features that were not in the older game. This is how you reboot a game that is perfect and to tell you the truth I consider the iPad version the superior to the older one. If you read this far then you are a true city builder fan and I assure you this is better than the original and is just as fun. Feral Thanks for a great game and more good memory to come because of your love of games. MacOS(iOS) for life. 🎮.Version: 1.1.3

One kinda big flaw (for me)Before I mention the flaw, let me say that this is an awesome mobile game and well worth the $12 I spent on it. There’s just one thing missing that’s in the real Tropico 4-6 game that makes it fail to get 5*, and that is imports/trade routes!! In Tropico for PC you can make something similar to the US economy where you rely heavily on imports. Import food and metals and lumber etc, then turn right around and sell the final products for a profit. It’s hard to do, but it’s very possible. Just a natural end game progression of your island. Because this is gone, there’s only one real route to success.. you have to be able to produce the raw input materials on your island. Maybe hace a factory that can up the value of those materials, then export, export, export! Another flaw might be in the time limit, but we will see!.Version: 1.3.2

Great!!It was my fav when I was a child. I am very happy that I can play it again anywhere with my iPad. Thanks!.Version: 1.1.3

Needs more supported devicesGreat game but is impossible play effectively on small phne screens Need to be available on ipad mini 4 and air2.Version: 1.2.1

Great portI was reluctant to purchase due to price but glad I did. Previously played casually on Xbox and it looks and feels the same on iPad Pro. Plenty of hours of play here. controls are a little frustrating at times, particularly road placement. But don’t let that put you off. Overall it plays great. Biggest problem, battery gets rinsed quickly. Altering battery settings helps a little..Version: 1.3.2

GOOD MORNING TROPICOOOOOBeen playing the Trópico games to a worrying amount since Trópico 3 (and then went and checked out the older versions) this is honestly MUCH better than I would have believed an iPad port could be (have yet to download it to my phone) I was so impressed after playing it all day I went and downloaded COH which is ported by the same company. Again top quality..Version: 1.3.2

GreatWell worth the price. One of the best games on iPad..Version: 1.3.2

AwesomeGreat game. Lots of varying gameplay. Well designed for ios..Version: 1.3.2

Great Game! But 'The Great Game' Scenario is broken.I LOVE this game. However The Great Game scenario is supposed to give you the option to pick either a capitalist approach or a communist approach for your victory conditions, yet that option is never given so you are guaranteed to lose! Please fix!.Version: 1.4.3

Works flawless on IPad.Very fun game. It’s the full game. Works flawless on the iPad..Version: 1.1.4

+60h of campaigns aloneI love the Tropico series and this doesn’t disappoint. It’s nearly the full experience and kept me thoroughly entertained for many many hours. How entertained? I’m currently in official quarantine and played this game nonstop. The campaign and expansion gave me about 8 days of game play, approx 8 - 12h per day! Total of 60h just in campaigns. I’m experienced at Tropico, so no learning curve...add learning curve and you have 70 - 80h of campaign PLUS sandbox mode. Great game, worth every cent. No ads and no DLC...you get all updates free!.Version: 1.3.2

Good but needs work.I have been playing Tropico since it came out on pc. Even played it on the xbox. I love the game. I would like to see some type of terrain tool. It can be very frustrating when i am trying to create a path though a mountain and I am unable to do so because of the angle of some sections. Also it would be great if i could start out with the flat map and create mountains where I want to instead of the preloaded maps with mountains..Version: 1.1.5

Amazing PortI tried to change my last review but couldn’t so hear I write again. Thanks for an amazing port. I just managed to find all I needed to know about the controls and game and I must say, thank you devs for an amazing game. Been looking for a good iPad game and of course it is Tropico. I can say to others to have patience. You will love this game on iPad. Looking forward to ad on’s in the future. Absolutely amazing. ..Version: 1.1.3

RecommendationsCould you add some more taller buildings and other essential such as; • Business office; e.g. increases export profit • Mall; e.g. Improves Tourism/functions as market • Charity Centre etc. Also I think the rocks around the hills are actually unnecessary and is the only thing that looks kind of old school silly in the game. I’m not saying to take it all off but at least have some maps or preference options that could remove that. Please use whatever idea you see fit, thank you,.Version: 1.4.2

Wish there was more!I loved this! I’ve played all the islands and I’m wishing there was more. Sandbox mode is ok but it’s not the same. This game could be big as a mobile game if the base price was dropped, but added more content you could unlock for more money. It’s worth it, anyone who’s played it knows it’s worth the money. I just wish it wasn’t over..Version: 1.3.2

Anyone else had this?Love this game. Just purchased on iPhone XS but cannot install, I have plenty of storage? Unsure what to do?.Version: 1.3.2

No volumeLove the game and would be 5 stars but I seem to be playing in total silence? Have tried the volume settings, restarting and game and iPad and nothing...still silence..Version: 1.1.5

Great job feralFantastic job and well worth the $$. Always wanted this game on pc but for on the go this is perfect! Looking forward to more campaigns Chris.Version: 1.2.1

The Best Strategy GameI’ve played and loved most of the Tropico series and this game is the culmination of all the best bits. You can get lost for hours and still not experience all it has to offer. Fantastic game, honestly can’t speak highly enough about it..Version: 1.4.3

Very goodThis is a very good game much like the pc and console version but the one thing that i wish was in the game is multiplayer where you can play against other people and dominate other players and compete for resources.Version: 1.3.2

IPad (Pro)’s first good city-builder title! This has quickly become my favorite game on my iPad Pro, and it makes what-should-have-already-been-obvious obvious in how to make the iPad a computer gaming device. I’ve really been hoping for a city builder in the vein of SimCity without a handicapped interface, without in-app purchases, without free-to-wait timers…and they really did it. This really is the actual experience that we grew up with, but on today’s platform. EA really ought to notice…but they won’t. They’re too busy turning our childhood franchises into casino machines. If this is a harbinger of things to come from Feral, I can’t wait to see what’s next! I’d personally have paid twice as much for such a good game..Version: 1.1.5

Great GameVery fun to play, many different consideration to take in to be successful. However, while playing on iPhone my phone heats up quite a bit killing battery faster due to graphics requirements (iPhone 12 pro) is there a feature that can be added to scale down the requirements and optimize performance?.Version: 1.3.2

Love itLoved this game on PC years ago and this did not disappoint. I’ve finished all the levels so please provide more :).Version: 1.3.2

My Favourite GameThis game is perfect for my style, I love the choice to shoot people, I normally do it on protestors. Overall the game is brilliant fun and worth all the money, only thing I would ask is for more building to put the cherry on top Thank you Developers.Version: 1.1.5

FantasticTropico is one of my all time favourite games. I was a little unsure how the port to an iPad would work. However, it is utterly brilliant. The developers have done an amazing job. The controls take a little getting used to, but, as others have noted, this is only to be expected given the touch screen. That said, they soon become intuitive. The graphics are stunning. This is as beautiful as one could hope for. More to the point, it retains all the in-depth and complex game play elements from the desktop games. This is not a simple game. But it is endlessly rewarding to play as you discover new elements. There is so much to it. And the wonderful Latin soundtrack is there along with heaps of humour and fun. The only downside is the battery drain, but this is to be expected given the processing power needed to do so many things. Well done and many thanks to the development team. I hoped that one day Tropico would come to the iPad. I’m not disappointed..Version: 1.1.3

Good conversion from Desktop to MobileWhen I purchased my first laptop, in 2007, I also purchased this game at the store, the first edition. I really enjoyed it. When I found out about the mobile version, I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t be a downgraded version of the original (haven’t tried the subsequent editions). I must admit, the developers did a great job to adapt the desktop version to a mobile one. However, I’m almost done with the campaign missions, will soon start on the Absolute Power ones. I wish there was more. If I remember correctly, there was a lot more missions on my laptop/desktop version. I think they should work on and release more expansion packs, or at least more missions..Version: 1.3.2

Finally - perfect for iPad ProLove this game! I’ve been waiting to find a true, full strategy game to play on my 2018 iPad Pro. This game is smooth, beautiful, and tons of fun. I hope other developers take note. Mobile gaming does NOT have to be a series of micro transactions and unlocking timers. Some of us are willing to pay for great games..Version: 1.3.2

Awesome game to play on the communiteGood town building game that doesnt require internet or waiting days to build stuff or spending money or watching ads. The only annoying bit is the road building..Version: 1.3.2

Good old game with one flawI played to death the third Tropico on my Mac back in high school. The port is excellent, however, the battery drain is over the top. Also this game will benefit from Apple Pencil and keyboard shortcuts support for sure..Version: 1.1.3

👍❤️👍Wish there were more games like this. Not always easy, but achievable! More please 👍.Version: 1.4.2

A bugLove the franchise and this is a fantastic addition. Problem I’m having is I cannot seem to get missions on the campaign map to register I have finished them. Second Chance and Industry Titan I have completed multiple times but will not show as complete preventing me from progressing to other maps. Would love this patched. Playing on IOS12 and iPhone XR.Version: 1.2.1

Quality iPad version of TropicoSuperb game tropico on iPad graphics are getting towards that of consoles and pcs and it’s basically a full game of tropico if they bring out lots of add on packs with scenarios and stuff that would make it even better I give 5 star despite a couple of issues which was I’ve had a couple of crashes on iPad Pro if that can be fixed it would make it nearly perfect and sometimes when writing comes up giving hints it disappears too quick to read but this game is quality there’s no doubt tropico on ipad.Version: 1.1.3

J’aimeMarche bien pour le moment réplique exacte de Tropico version pc ou Mac dure sur la pile mes vu Le jeux je comprends très bon jeux.Version: 1.2.1

No in app purchasing - thank you!!!I am so happy to play this excellent game and I don’t have to worry about not being able to play it to it’s full potential due to a payment model that drains your wallet. This awesome game is a one off payment. Thank you!!! It is so worth the money!!!.Version: 1.2.1

My new favourite iPad game!An awesome game that looks amazing and runs perfectly (iPad Pro 9.7) Great work Feral Interactive!.Version: 1.1.3

Love it! Just as enjoyable….As the old sim city used to be! I wish that I could handoff between iPad and iPhone - would be nice to not always have to play on iPad and I’d like to go back to my city on my iPhone during breaks or waiting around..Version: 1.3.2

Game is solidExcellent Never made a review about something Like this The game is just like the original the only setback is the winky controls for me, kinda hard to place down roads but overall this game I would consider it a 5 Star although Idk if its me but I havent heard juanito throughout the gameplay, has the port forgotten our favorite TNT broadcaster?.Version: 1.2.1

As good as the PCI love Tropico on the PC and have played most of the games and expansions. So I was excited to see this on iPad. I was a little hesitant at first as I thought it would suffer from cut down features etc, but it really doesn’t. It brings all of the fun of the PC games to tablet without too many compromises. The touch interface works really well and is intuitive. I’ve never found myself stuck or struggling to work out what to do. My only complaint is the power consumption... it can chew through a full iPad Pro battery in a couple of hours!.Version: 1.3.2

Awesome gameI’ve always loved these games. A few releases were duds but this portable edition is great except we need more. I would even pay to have new maps and missions. This game is great but theres not enough of it..Version: 1.3.2

Wonderful gameHaving played Tropico many years ago on a computer, I never thought an iPad version would be as good or better than the original. This game is brilliant, loads of fun had over the Christmas holidays, and I especially like NO IN PLAY PURCHASES! I tip my hat to the creators, a job well done. 5 stars..Version: 1.1.3

AmazingCan’t thank you enough for not putting in app purchases in this game. You have earned my respect. Everything else about this game is just perfect..Version: 1.1.5

…many years laterIn remembrance of the good times this game gave me, I will be once again branding myself “dictator”, and embarking upon the Tropico experience. There will be updates..Version: 1.4.3

Great port dated gameI give this game a 5 star because feral deserves it for how well they did porting this over. The touch controls are great and the game runs buttery smooth on the latest iPad non pro. That being said it’s basically a port of Tropico 3 which with the recent pc release of tropico 6 is now starting to really show its age. Building selection is limit like it was in the original 3 and the lack of eras gives little to strive for once your economy is humming along. I do hope feral decides to make some dlc with additional buildings in the future. All that being said tropico has always filled a cool niche between city builder, island, economy, and dictator sim and feral deserves credit for taking a risk on porting this game to mobile, especially in this era of pay to win mobile gaming..Version: 1.2.1

All Hail El Presidente!!Hadn’t played any of the previous versions of this game so was interested to see what it was like. Thought it may be a bit complex for a phone but works really well. Missions are sufficiently difficult to be interesting and prob average about 2 to 4 hours each one. I’ve played maybe 8 so far, think there might be 20 in total. Still on the one where you have to get residents happiness to 65 rating in 20 years, had about 5 goes at it now and still not completed it which is a good thing in my opinion. Good humour throughout, plenty of nice touches, smooth app no problems with crashing, got a sim city sort of feel to it but with more purpose and a lot more fun. Probably best game I’ve played on iPhone, Enjoy watching the money roll in :) UPDATE: New campaign levels (Postcards from Tropico) were a nice surprise and much appreciated thanks to the devs. Only fault would be they were a little too easy but hopefully get some more campaign levels in the future!.Version: 1.4.2

Just perfect for the iPadTropico is one of my all time favourites on the PC and this iPad adaptation is like a best-off from all Tropico games there are. It also works really well on the big iPad touch screen, making it a more immersive experience than on the PC. It looks neat and is bug free. I will there were more games of this quality in the App Store..Version: 1.1.5

Great Game!!I have only played this game for a couple days but I am loving it! I play on my phone but will probably move it to my ipad for the bigger screen. If possible I think this game would be great PC/Mac if it isn’t already. I think it’s better than SimCity. Slightly different concept but better than SimCity in many ways..Version: 1.3.2

UNREALCan not put the game down.Version: 1.3.2

Amazing! This game is absolutely amazing, the game play and UI/UX is so well thought out. It does lend itself to a bigger screen, but plays well on iPhone. One improvement opportunity is to enable game centre/ profile creation to enable game play across multiple devices.Version: 1.4.2

Strategy???I’ve played the game many times. I’ve completed campaigns but I have a few complaints... The game makes it’s own mind on how it’ll be played. I’ve set up several scenarios and the ticker still scrolls the same messages. I’ve had many scenarios where I’ve had several factories but there would still only be $4,000est. sitting on the docks! I’ve had a dock with over $40,000 then my finances fall off! I’ve had 10 farms and people still die of starvation! I’ve had 3 clinics and two hospitals but people still die of poor healthcare! I’ve “tested” this game and it has failed! I LOVE Tropico and I’d live to play in my travels (as I did in the very first game) but I don’t like being lied to! I don’t mind losing as long as its honest and not a pre-programmed outcome....Version: 1.3.2

Excellent port of Tropico 3I love the Tropico series, since the begging I’ve owned and really enjoyed every instalment. Even now Tropico 6 on Xbox One is a great game. I was sceptical about this version at first, I thought there is no way it will be as good as the original, I was wrong. It’s a perfect port of Tropico 3, works perfect, maybe even better than it did on the 360. Easy navigation and placement, I was shocked how good it was as I’m not a fan of mobile gaming at all, if you like the series then you will definitely enjoy this version, 10/10 zero faults..Version: 1.3.2

Plays well but missing some featuresAs someone who has played the series on the PC, I can honestly say this is a fairly good port to mobile. There are, however, some features missing in the mobile version: the lack of ability to upgrade the tenements and apartments with air conditioning to boost their housing score, is somewhat game breaking. One of the maps requires a happiness score of 65% or better, and this is simply not achievable without having the upgraded apartment buildings. Aside that, game plays well. Did think it was expensive given the age of the game, but I didn’t mind paying because of the replay ability..Version: 1.3.2

Suggestion for Feral (Tropico Team)I’ve been playing this game for a while on the Ipad, so far it is pretty good I have to admit, but what I will say is that you should add at least slightly better graphics to give it a smoother texture. (Not that it is bad right now) It should be on the settings page for how you want to customize your game. This way you can optimize battery consumption. (By the way, so far my battery has been great with this game) 🔆Try to make the game like the new version coming out Tropico 6. Instead of 3, if your on a budget at least 5.🔆 Another suggestion is to add more content. Now I understand adding content is costly. So, just like you did on pc and Xbox, you should put a price on it. Not too much, or else no will buy it. If you can pull it off and make this version of the game like the upcoming Tropico 6 I am almost 99.9% sure that a lot of people would have a change of heart. You should also add more merengue or Music. This way the same songs don’t repeat them selves to much. If you a customer looking to see if you want Tropico. I highly recommend it..Version: 1.1.4

More Islands!Have loved playing this game for years!.. was happily surprised recently with the new Postcards from Tropico missions that appeared!! 💪🥰👍 …. Just finished the last of them…. Theres 3 islands on that map with no title/mission?! … C’mon Mr and Mrs Feral!! I need my fix of more Tropico challenges!! 🙏🤩👍 🤔 maybe some different disaster types would be interesting? For those that have never played… give it a go! … it’s a good chill day game to relax with and watch your decisions help or hinder the population!.Version: 1.4.2

The real dealFeral interactive is one of the very few gaming companies left with integrity. Not only are they releasing full console experiences on devices so held back by the software it’s almost magic that we see total war or Tropico at all, but they stand against the rushing tide of predatory business models and greed. I applaud you and will always always support the developers who will refuse to be a part of the inevitable industry crash..Version: 1.1.5

We need more games like thisIn the age of micros transactions, pay to win, loot boxes, gems, gold bars, ugh - it feels like developers really want to make slot machines, not video games. Not the case with Tropico for iPad! This is a full Tropico game, not a slimmed down mobile version leaning on an established brand, but rather a fully featured demonstration of how strategy games like this are perfect for tablets. Price is great considering how much is here. Buy it, have a blast, and support great games like this!.Version: 1.1.3

Fantastic port! Great additionsFeral have brought Trópico mobile! This is the classic game we all love but Feral have made some fantastic additions to ease gameplay and make the overall game more intuitive. These additions relate to things like making roads, adding upgrades to buildings, overall construction, overall demolishing and keeping the flow of your island nice and fine-tuned! The game has the same menus but the UI has been updated for ease of use on the iPad, while also allowing builders quick access to everything they need to keep their island growing! The addition of Architect Mode is amazing, and really makes building on the iPad easy and fun. The graphics have kept the older fun Haemimont style but Feral have added depth and saturation to the beautiful colors. This is exactly how you port an older game into the technology of 2018! Thank you, I’ve never clicked “BUY” faster 😁.Version: 1.1.3

Long live Presidente! This is Tropico 3, so it’s a “back to basics” version of the game, but it’s still great to have this amazing game on my iPad! I hope they release the features of 4 with Modern Times!.Version: 1.1.5

The Experience I expected!UPDATE!: My iOS must have been bewitched or haunted (All Hallows Eve is coming after all...!) After deleting/reinstalling the app twice with no change. Rebooting my iPad numerous times, nothing made any difference. It was like I was trying to run Tropico on an old, underpowered, home built PC. I intended on deleting Tropico and forgot too. The next day (?) I saw Tropic’s icon and was ready to remove it. I decided to try it one last time. Everything is working perfectly! Not asking any questions, only playing! I started around 11pm and the next thing I knew, it was 4:30am! LOL. World building should be so easy in the SimCity app. —————- First startup, after the Kalypso graphics, just a black screen with music. Restart game and get further but the graphics freezes and the music keeps playing. The third attempt to play Tropico the graphics stutters and freezes like the old PC days but keeps moving on. The graphics are fuzzy, like looking through a haze of smoke. Tutorial is buggy. Says, select a citizen. It took almost 5 minutes to find anyone. Then it turns night and is raining. Can’t find anybody again. Finally, I find a woman. Select her and then the Tutorial says to select “?”. Nothing. Tried again, no response. Thank you for bringing the PC problems with the game’s port to iOS. I am using the 1st Gen iPad Pro on iOS 12.3.1. I’m deleted Tropico as it is just plain terribly and wastes 2.5GB of memory! I’ll try and get a refund from Apple..Version: 1.2.1

DLC’s please??I really appreciate y’all getting Tropico ported to the iPhone, I also would like if y’all can introduce or tease a DLC content either as a free update or a separate, either way it’ll definitely make Tropico even more grander. If by some ways y’all can bring some elements from Tropico 6 into this version of Tropico it’ll be awesome, & fun..Version: 1.2.1

Awesome gameThis is my favourite game on the iPad..Version: 1.4.2

Better than the original Tropico 3I felt so siked when I learned there was an app for this game. Tropico 3 was my favorite Tropico game back in my gaming days and I was recently thinking about purchasing the game again for PC beforeI discovered the game was available in the App Store at a Walmart on an IPad. Purchased it immediately on my phone. The app makes a lot of improvements on the original game..Version: 1.2.1

I used to love Tropico 4Honestly, feral interactive went hard with this game. Between the fantastic touch controls, with so many settings for camera movements, like tilt options, zoom, rotate. Its nearly one of the best city builder games, with loads of content. But on the iPad, it goes even further than just that. I cannot play tropico 4 on my pc anymore. The ui just feels so much better to me, but that’s mainly because I have the Apple Pencil. Honestly it just occurred to me that I’m definitely biased because I have the iPad Pro with the pencil. That makes a big difference in the feel of the game. But at its core it’s still fantastic, but now that I am thinking about if I had to JUST use my fat fingers, that could be problematic. I think there’s a demo for it, so just check that out first..Version: 1.3.2

This game is a blast!Been playing this for hours today with no crashes, or excessive heating. I am ipad Pro 10.5”. It does seem to use alot of power because I kept it plugged in, yet it did drain the power 20%. Had a great time building my island economy. Went the strait way and attempted to be a good leader. But there are ways you can be an evil dictator, fixing elections, assassinating opposition leaders and protestors. While doing my very best to be a benevolent leader, humorous radio announcers pop in with their commentary about what a jerk I am. There are hilarious assistants who pipe in with their advice about how you are the most important, loving caring leader in the world. So if you like someone kissing up to you at all times, you’ll love it. The only problem I found was there are screens with quotations that pop up at the end of the year. Those pop up for a fraction of a second, so you cannot read them. Fix that and the game would be perfect. Though now, it’s pretty darn close. I would recommend this to people who like Prison Architect, Craft the World and other City Builder games..Version: 1.1.3

Best. Game. Ever.I played PC versions of this game for years, and it was always a favorite. When I bought the app, I was excited but not especially hopeful that it would match my previous experience. I could not have been more wrong! The game is the same challenging city-builder/strategy simulation it was before, but the attention to detail, the shockingly beautiful graphic production, the intuitive controls just make this a must-have. I’d have payed five times the price for this game and called it a bargain. Viva Presidente!.Version: 1.3.2

Good jobGreat game only thing I ask for is more content like let’s us choose to go to war or add to the story and maybe bridges can’t build roads underwater other then that hey this is by far above the curb on builder games and I love it really I play this game everyday all day when I’m off shot sometimes on the job lol I’m El Presidente!!!! Lol.Version: 1.2.1

Pleas Red developers! This game is really Fun and I would recommend it But the controls is Hard for the view When I Ever want to go to a other View it gets Messes up and Can we Make things move like all the Things move since am new and just got it today I don’t know how to move things..Version: 1.2.1

Satisfies a craving, but doesn't invent anythingNot bad, but adds nothing, good adaptation from console game, but lacks the complexity of Tropico 4 and 5.Version: 1.3.2

Love this game!Great game! But it’s almost as if I am being hacked from Gregory Mathurin and his Calgary Alberta police friends who are absolutely abusing their power and equipment..Version: 1.3.2

Love itI really enjoy this games it gives you a lot of different challenges and keeps you focused it’s a great time passer, But one problem I always seem to have is the Starvation problem in my islands no matter how many farms, markets,or restaurants I add once my population goes over 100 citizens starvations starts to become a problem I thinking this problem could be solved by adding a system to manually manage how much you export or even import. This could also be an easier way to manage your economy since you’ll have control of how much you export As a cool feature you can add a building (a World Trade Center or something) that you have to buy in order to unlock the export/import management system.Version: 1.3.2

Great gamePlayed the computer version years ago was intrigued to see how it ported over too mobile but it’s brilliant. A few bugs here an there where it crashes but nothing major an a restart normally fixes it. Would recommend..Version: 1.4.3

AwesomeGreat game, runs great, really good for killing time!.Version: 1.3.2

The only game I playIt’s the only game I play every day. The amount of different successes and failures is amazing. I’ve never mimicked the same scenario twice. I gave it a five star for that reason, graphics are amazing, and the overall value is great. However, there hasn’t been any updates for awhile and it would be nice to get some more options with buildings or update a newer timeline. Tropico has a great console game lineup, would love to see some love given to iOS gamers.Version: 1.3.2

Still very happy with this game. Please please PLEASE add more with an update, I’ve completed everything. Ps. Thankyou for this game..Version: 1.3.2

Must have on your IPadIf you like strategy games then you will love the IPad version of Tropico. Nice, smooth gameplay. Worth the money!!!!.Version: 1.3.2

Happy meAfter playing this game on PC years ago I loved it and still love it now long time waiting but so pleased it’s on the iPad Great work.Version: 1.1.3

Been wanting this game for a while now on iPadGame runs flawlessly and is buttery smooth. So much fun if you’re looking for the Tropico experience. Does consume battery pretty fast and does make my iPad get a little warm but overall it’s not too bad in either area..Version: 1.1.3

Great game. And actually worth the priceI saw this and bummed and ahhh’d about the cost for a long time before choosing to buy it. I have no regrets. What a great game. There is nothing missing to keep you addicted and involved. There is a lot to do on a iPhone screen but it works like a treat. Would be great if there was more progression as time goes by to upgrade and maybe able to attack other local islands and become more of a menace. 100% worth the money. And not a single crash ever!!.Version: 1.2.1

Very good game!To start off this is a great game, The graphics are phenomenal and the details, don't even get me started they are soo good there is a literal donkey that moves in the teamster's office, that just goes to show that they put tiny details that no one might see but still put them there! But as with any great game, there are some things that can be added, the first being... Moving buildings! it may just be me but I can not move them and it would be so good to be able to! The second, mods! it would nice to be able to add mods to the game so that other ideas can be put in, the last thing I would like to see added is... more buildings and variations! such as more docks, airports, skyscrapers, shopping centers, and vehicles Ect. I hope you like my ideas please consider them, -bye :).Version: 1.3.2

Great gameIt is a really great game. However, right now no matter what I do my game stops working if I try to make roads and I can’t build anymore building. Even if the building is green indicating I can build something there..Version: 1.1.3

Awesome GameJust like the PC version. Nice job getting this game on ipad.Version: 1.1.5

Love this game but need a new oneHey. I love this game but I’ve beat every game mode on every island. Sandbox too. I’ve generated every type of island. Won, lost, changed my dictator to hated, then loved. I’ve done everything this game has to offer. I’d really love Tropico 6 to come out for iOS. I’ll pay the same price or more for it.Version: 1.3.2

Incredible port!I never really got into Trópico on the Pc, I have the slightly newer one. But this port onto the iPhone/iPad is absolutely incredible! Had me hooked for hours l!.Version: 1.3.2

Excellent!Great game, plays brilliantly on my iPad. Full, game no IAP’s adapted really well to my iPad, played for a couple of hours so far, loving the humour and the play styles! This is full PC GAMING GOODNESS on an iPad. So glad there are alternatives to all the freemium dross! You won’t be disappointed here!.Version: 1.1.3

Portable presidenté!As a long standing fan of tropico (I remember playing the first one when I was a child with unlimited money as I didn’t even know the word economy at that age!) honestly so buzzing about this, I’ve been really impressed with the graphics and capability of this game on a phone. Controls are fiddly but wouldn’t expect them to be easy on a small phone screen. Only reason I’ve given 4 stars out of 5 is because as a long standing tropico fan, I absolutely hate the lag that happens when you’ve got a lot of buildings and high population, it makes me quit on console versions and also frustrating on this. BRING OUT CONSOLE TROPICO 6 PLEASE IM SICK OF WAITING!.Version: 1.2.1

My favourite game, and no IAP! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻My favourite game has finally come to the iPad, and the best part is that it has no in-app purchases! Honestly even though I’ve loved the Mac version of this game for years, I wouldn’t have bought the iPad version if it were the IAP kind of game. The UI and road-laying could use some improvements, but I haven’t encountered any lags or bugs on my first-gen 12.9” iPad Pro, and I’m very happy with it. Well worth the price!.Version: 1.1.3

I’m so excited to be able to play Tropico again!Tropico has always been one of my favorite computer games and I’ve had my fingers crossed that it would be available on my iPad. I’ve started playing and it’s as amazing as I remember and I’m so happy that it’s a one time purchase! I could not be more excited!!!.Version: 1.1.3

A Real BarginThis is probably the best game I’ve encountered for my 32GB 5th Gen iPad. I’ve played about 12 hours over last 3 days, had 1 crash during first 15 min, answered Yes to Send Report message, zero problems since. Performance is fine on this model iPad - smooth graphics & sound, no freezes or stalls, good controls. Having never played other versions, I can’t compare gameplay, etc, but this version is great. It’s funny, challenging, relatively intuitive once you’ve played both tutorials, & I foresee LOTS of replayability. With Zero IAP,s I think Tropico is a real bargin. If you like this genre of gaming (or just want to show off capabilities of your iPad!), Tropico is a must-have app!.Version: 1.1.3

Very niceGreat game, gorgeous graphics, no in-app purchases make it well worth the money. Very addictive, I can’t stop playing for hours, very difficult to make a profit though..Version: 1.1.3

Great Game!! 5*I absolutely love this game, challenging to complete and makes you think! A must have for those gamers who like a challenge. My only request for developers is to add more scenarios EDIT! Thanks Devs for additional scenarios! This is a superb game and still a go to after several years!.Version: 1.4

AwesomeLove the Tropico series, but this iOS port is another solid offering from Feral, with no awful IAPs or ads. Its a joy to play, stable with lots of content to play through. Even the loading times are amazing. I can launch the game, skip intro, and be back playing my savegame in about 7 seconds. Great job!.Version: 1.3.2

One of the best games for the iPad.I previously wrote a bad review due to battery life but that problem seems to be fixed. This is one of the best games in the App Store. Works flawlessly on my iPad Pro 11”. Feral hit a home run with Rome: Total War and it seems that they did it with this one too. I really really hope to see Medieval 2: Total War, Empire: Total War and Anno 1701/Dawn of Discovery in the App Store one day..Version: 1.1.5

Exactly as the PC versionIf you liked the PC version, then this is the game for you. It's got a few bugs, but I haven't noticed any. New iPad Pro 11". Does draw your battery down a little fast, but can play for how just like the original. Wanted to write this to show others is worth it if you liked and played the original. Good job..Version: 1.1.4

Fantastic mobile revitilizationI have some nostalgic memories of the Tropico series, and it’s great to see it back in full force and on the mobile platform. It’s a brilliant translation and there’s so much content here, it’s hard to believe it works so well. I can keep diving back in over the next few months and always have a solid drip feed of our favorite Presidente. Definitely one of the best games on the App Store, and one of the few sim devs to jump to mobile without getting greedy and over-monetizing (*cough* SimCity). If you like sim games at all, this is worth the money..Version: 1.2.1

BugWhenever I go into the building option, it just displays a red star at the near bottom right hand screen, and I cannot exit the building menu, build or even do anything except either eventually crashing, being forced to return into the game or just put into the main menu. I don’t know what’s going on, please fix this!.Version: 1.3.2

It’s Tropico and it’s on my IPadCan’t agree with the early negative comments here saying it’s clunky etc. I’ve had a few goes with it now and think it’s great. Feral have done well adapting it for the iPad. Took me a while to get used to the panning and zooming around the map but you can lower the sensitivity of zooming and rotating etc in the settings to suit. Also, a nice little touch is that if you move/pinch the camera using the top half of the screen, it moves quicker than if you use the bottom half. The negative reviewers clearly haven’t found this out yet. As for placement of buildings, there’s no problem there either. Easy to drag the building around by holding your finger down on the building you wish to move. With handy rotate buttons around the building. Another great touch here is that you can still zoom in and out with ease while you position the building. The graphics are similar to Tropico 5 on the PS4 and that in itself is remarkable although I hear the game is actually based on Tropico 3. Very enjoyable - all the humour is there and also all the depth. 5 out of 5 from me..Version: 1.1.3

Excellent game, needs a few things fixed and addThe game was fantastic when I got it and when kept playing I found soem thigns that was hard for me to overcome, for example their were to many unemployed buildings and I clearly had enough people, and mabye add a endless mode and do a few like dual island maps and mabye a few three island maps if they want to, other wise great game!.Version: 1.3.2

Probably the best game on the iPadI am writing this review as I haven’t played the game on other platforms like most of the others listed. I like mainly play games that are story’s or puzzles that are long, this game reminds me of everything about sim city but will lots more interesting ideas the game play is faultless the best way to display is interest is to show that the battery is flat repeatedly. Mainly as this game just keeps you interested and gives everything I would want from this city strategy type game can’t recommend enough.Version: 1.3.2

I love this gameThis game is amazing. Good performance, great gameplay, many laughs, and so fourth. I never thought this game would be cheap as 15$. This game is not too simple nor hard to master making these game great for many audiences. I love the sandbox and campaign implemented in the game. It’s very hard to hate this game. The only downsides are very minor. Like cars running “down” people, builders and teamsters sometimes(but rarely) taking too long to get to work, and some other minor things. I wish Feral Interactive Ltd would add in more options to building and government policies. Again 5/5, would recommend..Version: 1.2.1

Great game (with some issues)It’s an amazing strategy game that’s gets you hooked the moment you start playing. However , the game crashes often . I hope this issue is fixed in the upcoming update..Version: 1.3.2

Pricey but very fun...I was looking for strategy games and this was one of the best strategy building games and was very highly rated. It is very fun but it does take a while to get a handle on all the controls and how to manage the budget. My main tip is if your between Total war and Tropico, Total War is more hands on and has strategic battles but Tropico is much more detailed on how to actually run a civilization..Version: 1.3.2

Well done.Amazing to finally play this game. Missed out on it as a kid. Very well done port, of a very fun game. Fully recommend. 5 big old stars.Version: 1.2.1

Gorgeous strategy with depthTruly outstanding looking strategy game with a huge amount of depth. Plays very well, no issues so far (iPhone XS). Love the graphics, and the strategy is deep and enjoyable..Version: 1.2.1

Best mobile city builderIt’s just the best.Version: 1.3.2

Tropico on the GoThe best version of Tropico but on mobile. This is the full experience with some adjustments to make it work on iPad. I wish there was a better way to check what you need to do on the play screen instead of a different menu screen, but overall I’m content with what I have..Version: 1.1.3

Crashes oftenGood game, however it crashes so many times (every 15 minutes or less) that it’s becoming unplayable. I’ve removed and reinstalled several times to no noticeable change. Frustrating to say the least. UPDATE Worked through the problem with the developer. Noticeable improvement in playability..Version: 1.3.2

Epic and addictiveNot only a crazy fun game, but also a beautiful game with lush graphics that make me yearn for a tropical holiday. Worth every penny!.Version: 1.3.2

SuperbeSuperbe adaptation de cet excellent classique. Vendu à prix d'ami (sans achats intégrés)..Version: 1.1.5

Would be 5 stars if not for the crashingThis game is great, the road building needs to be more intuitive, but after you’ve had your entire game save wiped out from a crash it gets frustrating to play. I can’t even count the times I’ve been close to beating a level and have the game crash with no way to recover..Version: 1.1.3

Finally!!! Amazing game, but has a bug...Absolutely amazing game. I’ve been waiting for yeeears for a Tropico game on iOS.. The devs have delivered and I’m having a blast with it. Graphics are amazing, gameplay is smooth, controls are spot on perfect and contains no in-app purchases. Between this and Civ 6 I’m good with games for while. There is a bug that’s pretty irritating though. It’s happened already twice, but with the second I noticed exactly when it happens. When I receive a call and it comes through my iPad; when I go back to the game the audio speeds up by 10x. The narrating, music etc. I have to completely close the game and open it again in order for it to get back to normal. Aside from this the game is phenomenal and a ton of fun. I cannot wait for it to come out on iPhone with iCloud support (fingers crossed) so that I can dive into this gem anytime anywhere. Thanks dev so much for bringing this to iPads. Great work. Hopefully DLC’s will arrive in the future with support as well..Version: 1.1.3

Worth the price! One question, though. Help!I was a big fan of the original Tropico game and was thrilled to pre-order this. This edition is wonderful in every way. One question, tho. How the heck do I hire foreigners to work at my schools and church and clinic before my educational system is established? Initially when I built the elementary school and high school, local teachers immediately began to teach there, but then they left. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated..Version: 1.1.3

BrilliantI own the entire Tropico collection on Steam but I’d rather play Tropico 3 on my iPad. I hope Feral Interactive continue to bring games like this to iPad..Version: 1.3.2

Money problemThis version of tropico is very well done although the fact that not all exports are accounted for and the easy debt problem for missing a export and waiting for the next ship to come to give you an export reward and the screwed up and the ticker at the top next to the year is the main problem i found to be the issue overall a great game just has some minor issues.Version: 1.3.2

AWESOME!!!I love this game and it is one of the best strategic games you can find to play! But I have an idea of being able to build an army to attack or something like that IDK.Version: 1.2.1

Tropico 3 on Mobile + DLCAmazing! This is Tropico 3 but on mobile. Runs great and never has issues. The only issue I’m having is not being able to rebuild destroyed buildings by an earthquake like in the PC version. Worth spending the money.Version: 1.4.2

Awesome iOS adaptation!I love Tropico on console and so I had to try this. It’s a very good adaptation with some minor changes for mobile. It works well and is a lot of fun. If you enjoy games like Tropico, cities skylines, or anything along those lines you will love this! It doesn’t have all the fine tuning and options as the console versions but it is an amazing adaptation for mobile!.Version: 1.2.1

True Tropico experience on a phone. If you love Tropico on PC this is a very faithful port of the desktop experience. I very rarely enjoy mobile games but this has kept me hooked for hours at a time. Absolutely worth the asking price..Version: 1.3.2

Pirate Cove? Please make Tropico 2 - Pirate Cove for iPad. I would dearly love to play that again. I enjoyed that more than the other Tropico games and would happily purchase that for iPad as well. Thank you!.Version: 1.4.2

Updates happen really quickHad a problem on my iPad Pro with a bug shutting down the game just before the end of the level, sent an email to the developers through the app and didn’t think anything was going to happen and within a week the game was updated and now haven’t had the problem since. Great to see developers paying attention and doing bug fixes even after youve got the game!.Version: 1.1.5

AmazingGreat game, no micro transactions which made me give it the full 5*.Version: 1.1.5

Tropico for mobile! Finally!!!! Yes!!Tropico was brilliant for PC and I’ve been looking unsuccessfully for a mobile game to compare with it for years, especially now my desktops are too advanced to play the older computer discs. So happy to finally have it available again, and it’s still just as good!!.Version: 1.2.1

Good funGreat game, nice addition to the pc offering, and great to have something to play during lockdown :) and thank you to the developers for not having a clear up front price instead of silly and frustrating in-app purchases.Version: 1.3.2

Fantastic iPad portSorry to hear some users have had problems with the game. I’ve had none. Tropico was one of the first games I ever played on Mac, and this is a fantastic port. This despot-sandbox looks great (who would have thought that this kind of detail would be possible on a tablet back in the day?), runs smoothly, has no in-app purchases, has loads of options in terms of how you run your city, and overall is great fun. Kudos to Feral. Highly recommended by me..Version: 1.1.3

It’s finally here!I have always loved the Tropico series games. And I have wanted Tropico on iOS for years. And it is finally here. Exceptionally well done Feral..Version: 1.1.3

A REAL iOS GameI just bought and downloaded and played a bit, awesome game and wanted to throw my support towards the developer for releasing a REAL game on iOS. Wish tons of people buy this to show support for these kinds of full games on iOS. Knights of the Old Republic is another great port if you want a full game experience without annoying micro transactions, etc. Keep up the great work!.Version: 1.1.5

Wow!I never imagined that I’ll be able to play a full Tropico game on my iPad. The game runs great and looks nice, but it’s a bit of a battery drain(better than expected). Being a full port of the PC game, it’s by FAR the deepest and most complete city builder for iOS. Search for Tropico 3 if you want to see gameplay and reviews. As others have mentioned, there are some small problems with the control scheme, but I’m not sure how it can be improved considering we are using a touchscreen..Version: 1.1.5

Great GameI use to play this years ago on PC and the game is even better then the PC version..Version: 1.3.2

Grate game until it deleted all my saved dataPlays just like tropico 4 but without the politics side of things This was till i Was happily playing and the game crashed and when I went back on all my saved data was gone 🤬🤬😡.Version: 1.1.3
