✓ Great Port - but...Hey team, great job, love it - the only thing this is missing is the caravan, it’s an absolute must for this game.... ✓ Not my kind of RPGHad the game for a week and then deleted. Reminds me of Diablo 1 & 2 however not that exciting. Stages are large but leveling And DPS really slow/low. Even with great weapons, the average monster takes about 5-6 hits to kill. And you’re constantly mobbed by at least 3 if not 6. You don’t die but hold down a button with a shoe and go get a drink from the fridge. I got about 1/3 thru and I couldn’t take it again especially since all the monsters respawn from areas clear after you leave the game. I paid to grind—would it really have killed you the developers to increase weapon damage or lower monster hp??? ✓ Great game BUT you might lose everythingThe game seems to have a problem with saves between devices. It has twice now erased hours of progress from my main character. Even when I carefully choose between cloud saves and local saves. This last time I lost an entire level, several epic items, and got reset all the way back to the Lower War Camp after already beating the Gorgon Queens and reaching Athens. I’m furious. ✓ Fun, Nostalgic, but Very Unstable.I’m running on an iPad Pro and this game is far too taxing for iOS. Even with frame limiter and low graphics the game runs at about 10FPS. Constant stuttering and the teleportation of my character. If I hold the analog in a direction more often than not he just teleports in that direction. I’ve made it to level 10 and not a single hit has brought my health below 100%. Another glitch I imagine. The game is virtually unplayable on PS4/XB1 so I knew it was too good to be true. For $0.99 I had low expectations but this is downright unplayable. I wish I could get a refund and I have never said that in over a decade on the App Store. ✓ Don’t purchase- Excellent but no DLCThis is a great port of a truly great game, but it remains incomplete. It’s well done for mobile devices. I have been waiting for the developers to put in the DLC which greatly expands possibilities and my personal enjoyment of this game. Sadly- they seem unlikely to ever do this. As is- it’s a lite version of the potential you can get from the PC version, without clear plans or a timeline to bring the rest to mobile. ✓ Very Good Port of Original GameTQ is a great port of the original computer game. After buying the game a couple of years ago, the legendary version came out with all the expansions included. For those who already owned the base game, all of the DLC’s were made available to purchase. Almost all of the glitches and bugs associated with the core game, were fixed in the legendary version and DLC’s. However, I recently opened the game to find all the DLC’s I purchased, were missing. I had to “restore my purchases”. After doing so, I discovered all my progress with 3 different characters, had been lost. Up to this point the game had been very enjoyable. ✓ Very Disappointing! Non multiplayer...If you played TQ on pc and loved it, then you will get the nostalgia (which I did). If you like Diablo (which I do) you will get some fun but if you want to play with others then don’t waste your time or money. Controls are not as great as they say it is, I often want to attack something but because I did not stop and stand still for 1 second after running to attack, it just keeps running... The auto-aim in this game is stupid, often not targeting the closest enemy! Oh you have life leach? Don’t get your hopes up because you can’t switch targets to apply it on multiple enemies unless you move first rendering the life leach totally useless in a fight with more than 1 enemy I’m very disappointed, it’s too expensive for what it is and I feel like I wasted money on something that should be multiplayer! I managed to get to the 2nd spartan camp after killing Nessus but every time I loaded up the game it would crash. It’s got worse and now I can’t even get past the character screen without the game crashing. I have a brand new iPhone XS with 512gb so memory is not an issue. Currently, it’s a mess of a port with tons of graphical glitches, awful controls, and occasional crashes. It’s playable, but not good by any measure. They NEED to change the context-sensitive button to prioritize attacks, it currently prioritizes loot pickup which very often gets you killed. Or separate attack from the action button (which is there, it’s just absolutely tiny). Make the action button smaller and the attack button larger, easy fix. ✓ Not original!Absolutely not the (Titan Quest) I used to game on my PC. The epic items you get are based on specific tasks you do when opening up big treasures afterwards! Runes seem to add no benefit. Probably going to delete as it’s really not fun when you spend your time trying to gain experience to level up and it does nothing. ✓ Fine Diablo-like marred by terrible inventory UIThe game is almost a classic at this point, but this version has some terrible UI around its inventory as to make playing the game tedious. First, when looking at an item stats, both it and the equipped stats blocks will show ON TOP OF YOUR INVENTORY, making navigating your actual inventory with a controller so difficult. They have the ENTIRE screen to display these, but somehow chose to hide the inventory. Also, by showing stats at the very bottom, some of them (oftentimes the item’s requirement) become hidden under the iOS system bar. ✓ Terrible portAfter having played this on several console platforms I thought I would try this. Lovely HD graphics and fluid movement but touch controls are really sketchy. Just not that fun to play especially when comparing items in your inventory. The compare windows cover all items in your inventory so you have to click away from the window before you can select another item for comparison. What annoyed me the most though is that when you leave the app and close it down, on re-opening and starting again all enemies return meaning you have to trudge through ground you have already completed, killing enemies again along the way. ✓ Good game, bad portSo many issues with this port. Controls are wonky, the character often gets stuck or changes direction suddenly. Targeting is abysmal. Play a pet class and the pet will often be found attacking something other than your target. At one point the character was shooting arrows at a target dummy before a mob, this happened repeatedly. Similarly while in combat the character will open chests before continuing to attack the next mob. Also balancing is way off from PC. At level 6 I had an inventory of level 8 gear I couldn’t use and was grossly underpowered. I guess I could farm the earlier areas but this differs from PC and holds this port back. ✓ Fantastic game with horrendous controlsThe game is absolutely fantastic, and if you like hack’n’slash games, you will not find anything better on the App Store. But the controls... Really, whoever was programming them possibly had not only a bad day, but a bad year at least. You will find with the action button as much as you will with the hordes of enemies. Loot is everywhere but you are limited to only a small amount that you can carry. If you find weapons that you can’t use until you meet the level requirements, you have to leave it on the ground. There is no stash / storage unless you pay extra. Doing research I learned that there was a “quality of life” update in the form of paid DLC that allows you to store items. ✓ A bad port of a great game.Titans Quest for iOS is a bad port of an otherwise great game. The good: a huge, diverse world, large and varied skill trees, a HUGE database of equipment, and enough of a story to tie things together. The bad: there are some graphics issues like flickering textures, but they’re distracting at worst. The real problems with the game, and ultimately the reason I stopped playing, are control issues. It’s nearly impossible to choose a target in a crowd, the character gets stuck on nearly any wall he touches, and sometimes, instead of attacking the next enemy, he starts running to the right of the screen. Forever, until you release the controls. I finally got stuck in a dungeon with a narrow entrance. ✓ ControlsI loved playing Titan Quest back when it first came out. One of my favorite PC games ever. So, I was excited to see it released on mobile. However, I was a bit disappointed to see it didn’t include Immortal Throne because the Dream mastery is awesome! (Please, please, please add the dlc, devs.) Then, it was just frustrating to keep dying because the attack button kept switching over to pick up items. Surrounded by enemies, outnumbered and with a slim fighting chance, then I can’t attack any longer. The result? A quick death and me wanting to throw my phone. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, and maybe it works better on a tablet, but I really hope this gets fixed. ✓ FrustratingThe touch controls for this game are very poor - meaning they are unresponsive in certain circumstances (for example, when surrounded by multiple enemies or when the game decides that I really wanted to pick up a worthless sword in the middle of a fight). ✓ In-depth reviewOkay, Titan Quest is a fantastic game, one of the best RPGs I’ve tried, and I’m an avid fan of the genre. A unique way to merge different masteries, huge variety of enemies and scenarios, items, near perfect I’d say... the PC version, that is. It’s really nice to see this game available on iOS, but I have to say it does have a lot of issues. It’s nicely adapted for a complete different interface that comes with a touchscreen device, but it’s far from being well optimised for it. There are several minor glitches like sound loops, fading textures and some questionable AI behaviours. But there are also major issues that make the playing experience a lot worse than it should be. The “attack” button is dynamic, meaning it changes to other actions like “interact”, “pick up”, etc. So if you’re fighting and there’s an item nearby, your character sometimes will start running aimlessly around and the controls just feel unresponsive, which can get very frustrating as you may know. There is however the “Loot” button that you can use to activate or deactivate this feature, leaving the attack button as just attack, but the positioning of this button is not ideal for something you have to turn on and off constantly (This is the Alt key on the PC version). My suggestion, just make different buttons for attack, talk and pick up. Also, this is not the fully expanded version (Ragnarok), so the Dream mastery is missing here. Overall, you do get to enjoy Titan Quest on your iOS device which is amazing, and the price is a bargain. Just be aware you will be cursing a lot because of some very needed fixes that are not here yet..KalaiusVersion: 1.0.19

✓ Back to School?[18 Apr. 2023] The more I play TQ, the more I think that TQ Developers should go to Hero School and learn what it means to play as a smart hero. A smart hero does not target a blade trap when a boss monster is breathing fire in their face. Likewise, a smart hero deploys monster lures in their line of sight, not to the left, to the rear, etc. My hunter players never use monster lure, mostly because I can’t use them as a smart hero would. A smart hero targets enemies by line of sight, not by line of ESP. Line of ESP comes in very handy, since it lets us target through walls, around corners, etc. Even so, targeting by line of sight is a lot smarter. I could provide a few more examples. Chances are, though, the original team that put together TQ has long since moved on to other employment or to other projects. I doubt that HandyGames has more than a skeleton crew working on TQ. Although it’s not as bad as it was, it still does crash randomly most notably while using town portals but it can happen anytime. It’s a nuisance but not the worst bug…. ✓ Nostalgia with IssuesThis game is as remembered. All the details and familiar hack/slash opponents from the mythology that burst like loot piñatas. The talent trees are interesting and give you variety of play for lots of repeatability. There is one major issue with this version on ios, the movement controller is highly unreliable. Which in epic/legendary make it a 50/50 rng shot at killing boss type monsters. As an Hunter, you need to move and shoot or you die. When you shoot and the controller doesnt respond or responds in micro movements that allows the boss to run to you and bash your face in, its extremely frustrating. I can even cast spells or autoattack, just not move. This even occurs during basic movement after opening chests. Given this controller issue the game can not be rated more than a 2/5. When fixed a 4.5/5 is probably correct for the hack and slash genre. Iphone 11xs is what i use, so i know its not the technology slowing the game down.
