✓ Finally, a game that gets it right.I’ve tried many different matching type games and normally they all get old quick. This game is different, the levels are just hard enough to be entertaining but not frustrating. I’ve been playing for about 4 months and have never hit a pay wall. The story is pretty interesting but if not super important if that’s not your thing. The puzzles to solve the crime are fun but not too challenging. Earning coins is pretty easy and the public challenges are fun to compete in. I recommend this as a nice time killer and a bit of a brain teaser..Version: 1.7.2

✓ This game is fun but…I really enjoy this game except for a few issues. First of all when you have finished the story line so far, you can’t earn stars or coins while you play. This is infuriating since you need so many stars for the stories once they are released. Also updates are very slow to release. I’ve been playing “competition” mode for weeks. ✓ Great match 3 mysteryBasic match 3, nice graphics and smooth animations. Lots of fun events. Story is wacky but keeps you invested. I Iike how the mystery parts actually give you something to do as you follow the story, even if the clues are really simple to decipher, it adds another layer. My one request would be able to turn off the “hint” prompts that show up at crime scenes, I think it would be more fun to figure it out than just reading what to do. ✓ Awesome and amazing game but..This game is awesome!🤩 But I didn’t know the game had one of the swiping games like the candy crush ones, and I’m not a fan of those games😬 Also about it is when your winning for the stars, you only can get like 12 seconds of seeing the information. Also I think that this game is way to far ahead like in the puppet one you can’t find them that easily they should add like, how to track them and stuff. This is one of my favourite games because it has so many levels so it seems impossible to complete. ✓ I am loving this game!I really love this game! I play it every chance I get though recently I started to have some major issues with the game. The first thing that started to go wrong was that a lot of the time my lives are not restoring then every time I beat a level I get nothing no stars no coins which is extremely frustrating and annoying! I really have enjoyed playing this game and I love to see what is going to happen next in the story but unfortunately without receiving stars and coins I can not proceed through the game which is completely disappointing. I have already contacted support about this problem but the only thing that they said was that I would have to wait until they update the game to see if that would fix the problem but it would take some time before the update was ready. ✓ Fun without pressureMany other “match-threes” put limitations to pressure the player to make purchases. Riddleside has a fun atmosphere and doesn’t have this sense of pressure. ✓ Hmmm- tried- excelled- deletedInteresting game play. After completing all missions, i found rewards to benefits wasn’t enough to keep playing. Just too many random things to impede winning. Like fireworks that shoot a random piece instead of helping to achieve goals. Seems to be designed that after winning a level gameplay changes to make winning increasingly difficult. So i decided to delete Changes that would have kept me playing - 1. Allow phone calls without losing a life 2. Allow view of level before selecting boosters 3. Allow level to be exited without losing life and selected boosters as long as no moves had been made 4. Don’t double chain boosters or put boosters in non-usable place 5. When awarding one extra life after watching an ad remove the high pitched music squeal that hurts hearing. Only way to get rid of the sound is to reboot phone or silence sound effects. 6. Fix bug that makes game close after ad without giving reward..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Update is frustratingPlayed this a lot but since the latest update it is has become very frustrating- too many levels are now nearly impossible without bonuses ( ie spending money) and you find yourself playing the same levels over and over. The AI is now really obvious- too often you spend a whole go with only one option to move and you know it’s impossible to complete- stop playing for a few hours and very often low and behold everything goes your way and you can complete the level- skill plays little part now..Version: 1.1.0

✓ Actually has a plot!This is more than a match 3 game. There’s episodes with plot. You need to fix objects, unlock trunks, put together torn paper, and collect important tools and clues. ✓ Actually a great game, but can be hard later onI really like this game. The plot is goofy but fun, the gameplay is engaging but usually doable, I love the events, and I like that you can play through the story or levels roughly independently of each other. I find that I can make my way through most levels without issue (I usually stock up on stars then rush through big parts of the story), even when they’re hard I can usually try more, maybe use a couple boosters, and win with a sense of accomplishment; and I’m not particularly good at games, so it seems pretty accessible. Unfortunately I find myself completely stuck on 184. I’ll probably be able to get through it once a new event comes up and I can get more boosters, but still, it’s sort of the dreaded moment in any given game where it gets too hard to actually continue on. I have a lot of abandoned games because I just wasn’t good enough at them. Maybe add more ad functions to get money or boosters? Maybe even a ‘skip level’ thing for a bunch of coins?.Version: 1.5.1

✓ ImpressiveHonestly I’m surprised at how much I like this game. Usually swap icon games like this are boring and if they have a story line it’s also boring. But this one has such an intriguing story line! The cut scenes are actually very beautiful, they look like time was actually taken to draw them. The only thing I wish was some more “puzzles” between the games. ✓ Problem with lives restoringI like the game, and haven’t had any major problems. Some of the levels take longer to solve than the others, but that’s okay. The only thing is when I went to play it this morning after not playing it all night, my lives were not restored. This was the first time that it happened, I don’t know if it is a glitch or if anyone else has experienced this also. ✓ Great Game but new area is difficult!I have been playing this for a few weeks, and Im addicted! Ive even won a few tournaments (I’m Cocobutter). This game is like Candy Crush, but less frustrating and better designed! I just began the new areas of the game (Sheriff Stars), and I admit, it’s really difficult! It’s unfortunately, down to luck or you have to use rockets/powerballs/etc. ALSO- you have to pass the areas for 5 levels in a row. If you lose, you start back at a reset point. For example, I’ve spent 5000 gold and nearly every extra bonus I have to try to get from level 9-13, but I fail at level 13, every single time. If I buy more lives, it STILL resets me back to level 9. It’s nice to see a change, but I think I will return to the regular areas. The Sherrif areas are too difficult, this coming from someone who won the last 3 tournaments! I realize it’s new though, and still a lot more to come, so let’s hope everything gets worked out. ✓ Don’t worry about the storyThis is a pretty good match 3 game. It has some creative mechanics and only two get more stuff ads. Does it have a limit on how many lives you get per session? Yes. Can you buy more lives using in game currency that can be purchased with real world money? Yes and yes, it is a free-to-play game and the developers need to make money. My issue is with the story. Every time you beat a level you get a star. Collect stars to progress in the story. Except I find the story an inane hand holding chore to progress through. The characters are awful, the plot discoveries are spoon fed at a predictable rate, and the story arcs are unsatisfactory. The main character you deal with Cyril from Archer, a grandiose chicken, a whinny kid, a grumpy guy, an arrogant guy, and the sheriff. All of whom are amazed at your ingenuity and dealing with the spoon fed discoveries. Simply awful..Version: 1.8.3

✓ Gripping, but...It’s a great game, and storyline is intriguing. The main 2 issues I have with the game is 1. The amount of stars required so early - perhaps award double stars for hard levels, or award stars based on scores? 2. Item drops - cups seem to randomly vend and wait until 7-5 moves before the end of a level to give the next. This was consistent on my current level (211). And then the addition of keys and dossiers as random drops with tiles makes the cup vend seem out of place. Despite those two buggy issues, the game is going really well! I love when games allow you to earn money in game instead of forcing a purchase. Plus the ability to fully restore lives with earned coins is amazing (but from a business point, 5 lives restored probably shouldn’t equate to 5+ moves - both 900 coins).Version: 1.5.1
